Jannik Sinner takes control of Australian Open final after freakish luck in tiebreaker against Alexander Zverev
A five minute check helped me get a £2,000 refund – it was so easy to do and lowered our bills forever
LOGGING on to the government website to check our council tax band, I quickly realised we were paying £2,256 per year while our neighbours were paying £336 less.
Our home was listed as a Band E, while the houses either side – and also both three bed semi-detached properties were Band D.
I then looked at the houses nearby that were classed as band E and noticed that they were all the houses that were extended and had also added another bedroom.
And that meant we had been overpaying since we bought the property in December 2018.
It was really straight forward to do.
Once you’ve input your own postcode, the website lists all the addresses around you and what band they’re in.
I submitted a challenge online and it took five minutes to fill out and three months later I received a letter explaining I was due a £2,000 refund.
We are not alone, one in 20 homes in the UK or 400,000 people are in a too high council tax band.
It’s also important to note that your band could go up as a result of the challenge – or your neighbours property could be changed.
Firstly, you need to check your neighbours banding, which can be done through the Government website.
And secondly, doing a valuation check of what your house would’ve been in 1991.
It was in 1991 that the new council tax system was launched and there wasn’t enough time to do the task accurately.
Meaning that mistakes were made.
As a result of that over 3 million people have now challenged their banding and are still waiting for their refunds to go through.
But I was one of the lucky ones and just three months after submitting my challenge in March 2024, I received a letter advising me that we were being down banded from E to D and that I was due refund.
And they would be receiving a refund on our council tax dating back to when they moved into the house.
It’s worth checking if you could be owed money.
Consumer rights expert, Martyn James, said: “The vast majority of people in the UK will be unaware that their cash is lining the coffers of their local council – and will be genuinely shocked by this extensive investigation by The Sun.
“Given that some councils use exceptionally aggressive debt collection procedures for even the slightest delay in payment of council tax, I’d argue that the time has come for a single, standardised approach to the collection and management of this tax.”
Councils track this information on either a monthly or annual basis, meaning these figures may not be entirely up-to-date.
The actual amount owed to residents may be higher or lower depending on how frequently each council updates its records.
How can I claim a refund?
Finding out if you’re owed a council tax refund is easier than you think.
Many councils have online claim forms available on their website
To find your local council’s site, visit gov.uk/find-local-council.
While some forms can be lengthy, claiming online is often the quickest way to get your money back.
If you’ve recently moved, you’ll likely need your old council tax reference number, which you can find on a previous bill.
If your council doesn’t have an online form, or if the form seems too daunting, you can contact them directly by phone, email, or live chat.
Bear in mind that even if you contact them this way, you might still need to complete a form later to actually receive the refund.
Sarah Coles, head of personal finance at Hargreaves Lansdown, added: “Don’t be afraid to call.
“It’s another annoying piece of admin, but this one could leave you more than £100 better off, which isn’t a bad return for ten minutes of admin.”
CHECK FOR COUNCIL TAX DISCOUNTS
IF you're struggling with your council tax costs, it's worth checking out whether you're entitled to reduce your tax bill, which can save you thousands of pounds.
Some people can even get their bills slashed by 100%, meaning they won’t pay anything at all.
Here are all the other discounts available.
If you’re a pensioner
If you don’t receive the guaranteed credit part of pension credit, you could still get a council tax discount if you have a low income and less than £16,000 in savings.
If you live alone, you will get the 25% reduction, even if you’re not entitled to any benefits.
If you’re a disabled
People with certain disabilities can get a discount of up to 100%. This applies to anyone considered severely mentally impaired (SMI), which includes conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s or learning difficulties resulting from a stroke.
If you’re living with someone affected with an SMI, you could qualify for a discount, too.
To be considered, a GP needs to certify the SMI, and typically, they will need to receive at least one type of benefit, such as attendance allowance or personal independence payments (PIP).
Again, you can check your eligibility or that of a family member and apply on your local council’s website.
If you live alone
If you’re the only adult in your home, you can get a 25% discount on your council tax bill.
This includes if you’re a single parent with children under 18 in the house.
Usually, you’ll need to let your local council know to get the reduction.
Even if other adults are in your home, you might still get the 25% reduction, as some groups of people are “disregarded” for council tax purposes.
If you’re a student
Households where everyone is a full-time student do not have to pay any council tax.
To qualify as a full-time student, your course must:
- Last at least one year
- Involve at least 21 hours study per week
If you’re between 18 and 20 and doing A Levels or equivalent, your course must last at least three months and involve at least 12 hours of study a week.
If there is an adult who is not a student in your household, they will need to pay council tax, but should still qualify for a discount if everyone else is a student.
Sitcoms and comedies are in decline – this is what TV bosses need to do to save them, says Hi-de-Hi! and Dad’s Army star
A DAD’S Army and Hi-de-Hi star has ripped into ‘woke’ sitcoms and comedies and revealed exactly what bosses have to do to revive the genre.
Jeffrey Holland shot to fame for his iconic role as Spike Dixon in Hi-de-Hi throughout the eighties.
Jeffrey pictured with his wife and actress Judy Buxton[/caption] The TV legend played the role of Private Walker in the Dad’s Army Stage Show[/caption]The actor played the character for nine series before the sitcom was brought to an end in 1988.
Jeffrey, now 78, will reflect on his decades long career in his new book The First Rule of Comedy.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun about comedies and sitcoms on air today, he said the genre is declining over a lack of live audiences.
The TV star explained: “There aren’t any. They don’t use a studio audience. Mrs Brown’s Boys does, you see. That’s why I love that show.
“Because he plays to them in the studio, and we know exactly what he’s getting up to when mistakes are made. He keeps them in. I love it. The principle of it.
“But you see, the studio audience are there to help the audience at home watching TV to know what’s funny and when to laugh.
“They laugh. There’s nothing wrong with that. It’s not cueing them in because they’re stupid. It’s just seeing them, it’s just cheering them along with the atmosphere of the show as it was being made in the studio that night.”
Jeffrey added: “You have to think too hard these days.
“We just don’t have the production values anymore that we had then. They’re different. It’s different.”
‘Woke’ debate
Jeffrey added that he thinks writing for sitcoms being overhauled is also contributing to their decline.
He explained: “First of all, we’re not getting the writers.
“And it’s a different world we live in now from the world we lived in then. And some things aren’t considered to be as funny. They’re just considered to be corny.
“You know, in modern terms. It’s natural. It’s a shame, but it’s natural. But they make these programs with what they think are funny gags in it.”
When quizzed on ‘wokeness’ in comedy, Jeffrey replied: “It’s just a question of giving priorities to the wrong emphasis, I think, somehow with woke and all that.”
Throughout his career Jeffrey has had a number of guest appearances in legendary shows such as Dad’s Army, Are You Being Served, Crossroads and Oh, Doctor Beeching!.
He also played the role of Private Walker in the Dad’s Army Stage Show, where he was first introduced to Jimmy Perry and David Croft, the creators of Hi-De-Hi.
In 2011 Jeffrey guest starred in Coronation Street, arriving in Weatherfield for a brief appearance as Clive Drinkwater.
Jeffrey Holland: The First Rule of Comedy is available from February.

B&M shoppers rushing to get their hands on household essential scanning for 10p instead of £2
B&M shoppers are rushing to bag a household essential scanning for only 10p down from £2.
Bargain hunters have have been left in awe after one customer spotted the outrageous deal in their local branch.
A bargain hunter spotted the Dettol disinfectant spray on sale for just 10p[/caption]The savvy saver recently posted a picture of the Dettol disinfectant spray on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
The spray can be used on soft furnishings as well as hard surfaces and also claims to kill bacteria, cold and flu viruses.
Shoppers were quick to like and comment on the Facebook post praising the shockingly good find or keen to buy some of the spray themselves.
One said: “Hope you took them all.”
Another said: “Lets get buying.”
Meanwhile, a third chipped in: “Bargain.”
Of course, whenever buying something like this you should shop around to see if you can find the same product cheaper elsewhere.
Trolley and Price Spy are both comparison websites worth using to cross check the prices of thousands of products across different retailers.
You can also use the Google Shopping/Product tab to see how much a particular item is selling for at different companies.
However, on this occasion, you are hard-pressed to find another retailer selling the 500ml Dettol disinfectant spray cheaper than 10p.
In fact, we could only find the 300ml version on sale at the major retailers, costing from £2.
How to find 10p bargains at B&M
B&M shoppers often spot 10p bargains from the retailer, posting their finds on Facebook.
But you might not know there is one method you can use to find the cut price offers in your local branch.
Remember you can find your nearest B&M branch by using the store locator tool on its website.
The B&M scanner app is free to download onto your smartphone via the Apple App Store or Google Play and flags potential bargains.
Once downloaded, you use the camera on your phone to scan product barcodes around stores.
The app then tells you the true price of that product, which is sometimes much lower than the price tag says it is.
One shopper used the app to get a £10 long hot water bottle for just 10p.
Patience is a virtue with the app though, as you may have to scan a number of products before finding a 10p bargain.
How else to save money at B&M
The best time to get cut-price products is 10am on a Wednesday, according to one ex B&M manager.
This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.
Deals expert Tom Church said to keep an eye out for red sticker products as well.
These are added to special buy products that have been reduced in price.
It’s worth signing up to Facebook pages dedicated to hunting for bargains from B&M and other discounters too.
Two worth joining are B&M Bargains, Extreme Money Saving Deals and More and Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
How to bag a bargain
SUN Savers Editor Lana Clements explains how to find a cut-price item and bag a bargain…
Sign up to loyalty schemes of the brands that you regularly shop with.
Big names regularly offer discounts or special lower prices for members, among other perks.
Sales are when you can pick up a real steal.
Retailers usually have periodic promotions that tie into payday at the end of the month or Bank Holiday weekends, so keep a lookout and shop when these deals are on.
Sign up to mailing lists and you’ll also be first to know of special offers. It can be worth following retailers on social media too.
When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.

Inside the secret politics of the porn industry as Bonnie Blue and Lily Phillips fight it out for the top UK creator
TENSION can often evolve between co-workers as they fight for promotions or pay rises, leading to healthy competition between them.
But it seems Bonnie Blue and Lily Phillips fight to become the top earner on OnlyFans in the UK has gone to new heights.
The pair were once friends but have recently fallen out[/caption] Lily Phillips has been branded a ‘backstabber’ by Bonnie Blue[/caption]There are so many issues that face the porn industry such as safety and consent that there is rarely time to think of the politics that goes on behind the scenes when the cameras have stopped rolling.
But the adult stars have brought the secret politics to the spotlight as the pair are have made their bitter feud public.
Despite starting as friends, it seems the competition has gotten too much for Bonnie and Lily.
Here, Fabulous looks back on how the pair supported each other to becoming sworn enemies.
Friendly Beginnings
Bonnie Blue, 25, whose real name is Tia Billinger, ditched the 9-5 in 2022 to become a cam girl after moving to the Gold Coast in Australia.
She saw the money quickly come in and decided to shift her career to OnlyFans instead.
Bonnie carved out her niche on the site by bedding ‘barely legal’ guys and has made headlines with her controversial hustle.
Lily Phillips, 23, started as a sex worker while she was at university at 19, but didn’t blow up as quickly Bonnie.
Both of the blondes come from middle-class backgrounds and it seems that when they first met they hit it off.
Bonnie claimed in a recent interview that she helped Lily get in the spotlight after asking her to help with Bonnie’s fresher content.
Bonnie says she helped Lily boost her profile[/caption]Bonnie is known for heading to universities to find ‘barely legal’ 18-year-olds to sleep with, and tends to bed as many as she can in one night with men queuing at the door.
She also claims to have helped Lily find media contacts and help her with publicity, but six months later the friendship has fizzled out.
Gloves Off
Now, the pair are seemingly fighting for the top spot for the most popular adult star.
Speaking to the MailOnline, Bonnie claimed Lily stole her idea to beat the record of bedding 1,000 men in a day.
Lily slept with 100 men in a day last year, with the behind-the-scenes footage being documented on YouTube.
The star heartbreakingly cried after the stunt and warned it’s “not for the weak.”
But shortly after, she announced she planned to sleep with 1,000 men in a day to beat the world record set by Lisa Sparks, who bedded 919 men in 2004.
She revealed she was in ‘training’ for the stunt but Bonnie wasn’t going to let her win.
She decided to move her event forward and declared she already broke the record earlier this month, bedding 1,057 men in 12 hours.
Despite Lily announcing the challenge first, Bonnie claims Lily stole her idea and stabbed her in the back.
She said: “Way before Lily even put it on her socials that she’d like to do the world sex record, and when I helped her out and invited her to do my Freshers content, I shared the idea with her saying that I really wanted to do the world record.”
“And I guess I’m very trustworthy and oblivious to people’s bitterness so I shared my idea that I’d like to do it.
“Then it wasn’t until November, three months later, she then announced on her socials that she was doing the world record.”
“Rivalry suggests competition and that I don’t have. In terms of the world record, both me and Lily know it was my idea as l’d spoken to her about it.”
Now, the pair also seem to be fighting over public appearances, as Bonnie allegedly cancelled interviews because Lily had got there first.
In a bold move, Bonnie ‘blew off’ a scheduled appearance on Plug Talk podcast because Lily had already been interviewed on it just days ago, according to the host.
Adam22, an internet personality, said on X: “Bonnie cancelled multiple podcast appearances in LA because we had Lily on first,” before joking about the adult industry ‘politics’.
She recently beat the world record and slept with 1,057 men in 12 hours[/caption]What is OnlyFans?
OnlyFans is a subscription content service based in London.
As of 2023, it is thought to have more than 220million registered users and over three million content creators.
Sex workers charge monthly fees for access to pictures, videos and more.
While popular for porn, the site isn’t exclusively designed with that in mind – anyone who wants to build up a fan base and charge them for it can set one up.
Celebs like Katie Price and Kerry Katona are popular personalities on the platform.
“Whether you’re uploading tutorials, tips, behind-the-scenes footage or just endless selfies, a lot of your followers would be willing to pay for them,” the company states.
For every subscription that’s sold to a viewer, performers get 80 per cent of the cash while OnlyFans gets the rest.
It isn’t limited to adult content, as it has become popular with physical fitness experts and musicians.
Fighting Back
Despite Bonnie winning the race to sleep with 1,000 men, it seems Lily is still fighting for her spot in the adult industry.
Lily has since responded with plans of an even more extreme stunt, announcing last week that she’s doing a ‘backdoor challenge’ with ‘as many guys as possible.’
The 23-year-old also shocked the internet after filming herself parading down the streets of London while covered in male bodily fluids.
Despite her antics, Bonnie seems unfazed by lily’s actions and reckons she isn’t cut out for the industry.
Speaking on Lily’s tears after bedding 100 men, Bonnie said it ‘wasn’t nice‘ to see her in tears.
“I’m not saying this is for everybody, nor is everyone hot enough to even do what I do, but this is something I thoroughly enjoy and I’m going to continue doing.”
Both women have also shown off their earnings from bonking men online, with Lily claiming she earns millions and Bonnie suggesting she earns £1 million a month.
Bonnie admits to rage baiting online and recently posted a video thanking the haters for making her rich.
Both were also meant to appear in Las Vegas this week for the AVN awards as they were both up for winning the Independent Female Creator award.
However, only Lily Phillips attended the ceremony dubbed the ‘Oscars’ of porn.
Despite the apparent feud, Lily spoke to Fabulous to congratulate Bonnie on the bonk-a-thon.
“I respect it,” she said.
“That’s hard work, so congratulations to her. I don’t think there’s competition.”
Lily attended the awards show last night, but Bonnie hasn’t been seen[/caption]Woman & two men knifed in horror stabbing spree at popular pub as cops arrest the two injured men & teen, 19

AVOIDING two-hour car journeys through LA’s notorious traffic prompted Kobe Bryant to often charter private helicopters.
But what should have been a routine half-hour flight five years ago ended in disaster.
On a gloomy January day in 2020, the basketball legend, his 13-year-old daughter and six others boarded a chopper in Orange County, California, as their pilot mulled weather conditions.
But less than 40 minutes later, all nine were killed when their helicopter crashed into a hillside near Calabasas.
Five years of torment have followed for their heartbroken families, who have had to contend with lawsuits as well as their grief.
Sick emergency workers fuelled their anguish by cruelly sharing graphic photos of victims.
And it took more than a year for investigators to issue a lengthy report on what likely caused the tragedy.
This is the minute-by-minute breakdown of the crash that left Kobe and his daughter Gianna dead – and the world reeling.
9.06am PT – Sunday, January 26, 2020
The Sikorsky S-76B helicopter takes off from John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California.
Kobe is scheduled to coach his daughter Gianna’s team in a basketball tournament at his Mamba Sports Academy in Thousand Oaks at midday,
Gianna, 13, is on board the doomed craft, as well as baseball coach John Altobelli, wife Keri, daughter Alyssa, Sarah Chester and daughter Payton and basketball coach Christina Mauser.
The chopper is being piloted by Ara Zobayan, pictured below.
The helicopter had flown the same route the day before, which took 30 minutes.
9.17am
Because of fog, the helicopter deviates from prior routes and heads on a detour towards Glendale.
9.21am
Air traffic control tells the pilot to circle over Glendale to avoid other aircraft and advises him on weather conditions.
An air traffic controller says: “Helicopter 2EX, hold outside Burbank Class C airspace. I have an aircraft going around.”
“2EX, holding,” Zobayan replies.
9.24am
The pilot continues to hold the helicopter in the area after being told by air traffic control it will be “a little bit” before they can continue.
9.32am
Permission is granted to proceed under visual flight rules (VFR) and the pilot is told to stay under 2,500ft altitude.
9.33am
Helicopter starts to head north and is told by air traffic control to “follow the 5 Freeway”.
The pilot is told to maintain special visual flight rules (SVFR) – which allows pilots to operate an aircraft in less than basic visual flight rules.
Zobayan requests radar assistance to help avoid air traffic, but is told the chopper is too low.
9.42am
Helicopter follows the Ventura Freeway west and enters more hilly terrain.
9.44am
Zobyan tells control he is going to climb higher to avoid cloud layer.
Helicopter begins to climb and goes up 1,000ft of altitude in 36 seconds and turns left – peaking at an altitude of 2,300ft.
Eight seconds later, the helicopter starts to descend rapidly.
A nearby tower records the helicopter is too low to receive guidance.
9.45am
Kobe’s helicopter crashes into a hillside near Calabasas near the intersection of Las Virgenes Road and Willow Glen Street, killing all on board.
9.47am
Emergency services receive the first 911 call about the crash.
9.50am
A witness on a mountain bike trail close by takes a photo of the crash scene.
Between 9.50am and 10.30am
Emergency crews are deployed to the scene and firefighters hike to the smoking wreckage, while paramedics are lowered to the site.
They are unable to locate any survivors.
As well as Kobe, daughter Gianna, and the pilot, John Altobelli, wife Keri, daughter Alyssa, Sarah Chester and daughter Payton and basketball coach Christina Mauser – pictured below – were killed.
11.24am
News of Kobe’s death is reported for the first time.
2.30pm
The Los Angeles County Sheriff and Los Angeles County Fire Department hold a joint press conference.
Teams from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB ) are on site investigation.
The FAA imposes a five-mile no-fly zone and police urge people to stay away from the area.
January 28
All nine bodies are confirmed as recovered from the site.
Kobe and three other victims are identified through fingerprints and autopsies conducted.
January 30
Identities of the five other victims are confirmed after DNA testing and analysis.
The wreckage of the helicopter is transported to Phoenix, Arizona, for further analysis by NTSB investigators.
Kobe’s death at just 41 prompted an outpouring of public grief as shocked fans, friends and relatives alike tried to come to terms with the news.
The anguish of the victim’s families has been propelled by grappling with lawsuits and waiting for investigators to confirm what caused the crash.
Early in 2021, the NTSB said the most significant reason behind the disaster was pilot error.
Hampered by weather conditions, the safety board said Zobayan had likely become disorientated when flying into thick clouds and lost control of the aircraft.
The 86-page report also said Zobayan may have had “self-induced pressure” to complete the flight despite bad visibility because he was to satisfy his client, Kobe,
Zobayan also made a “poor decision” to fly at “excessive speed” – about 160mph – into an area of poor visibility, the NTSB said.
Less than a month after the crash, Kobe’s widow Vanessa filed a wrongful death lawsuit against helicopter company Island Express Helicopters, as well as the estate of the late pilot.
It alleged the pilot was negligent and careless in a way that directly contributed to her husband and daughter’s deaths, as well as the other passengers.
The lawsuit also claimed Zobayan had violated flight rules by flying in foggy conditions.
In June 2021, Vanessa reached a confidential settlement to end her lawsuit.
But the grief-stricken mum-of-four was still contending with another lawsuit against law enforcement.
Distressingly, it had emerged emergency workers had taken gruesome photos at the crash site of victims, which were shared.
Deputies and firefighters who initially responded to the crash shot photos on their phones of the bodies and the wreckage.
Mira Hashmall, the attorney representing LA county, argued at trial they were an essential part of assessing the situation.
But the grisly images were shared between employees of the county sheriff’s and fire departments.
They were also seen by some of their spouses and in one case by a bartender at a bar where a deputy was drinking.
Vanessa’s attorney Luis Li said the graphic close-up photos had no official or investigative purpose – branding them “visual gossip” shared out of macabre curiosity.
In Vanessa’s lawsuit, she claimed Sheriff Alex Villanueva attempted to cover up the misconduct by telling deputies they’d get off scot-free if they deleted the photos.
The filing said Vanessa lives in constant fear that the devastating photos will be leaked to the public.
On August 24, 2022, a unanimous jury determined that Los Angeles County must pay Vanessa $16million over the photos.
The jury also awarded $15million to Vanessa’s co-plaintiff, Chris Chester, who lost his wife and daughter in the crash.
Watch as Wynne Evans ignores scandal and SINGS on stage for Strictly fans despite injury – as shock comment is revealed
WYNNE Evans ignored the latest scandal he is engulfed in as he took to the stage last night – despite being unable to dance.
The Welsh star, 52, injured his ankle and was forced to pull out of performing with Katya Jones, but he made sure he still got his moment in the limelight by belting out an opera song.
Wynne has been performing on the tour with Katya Jones[/caption]Those in the audience last night for Strictly’s live tour in Glasgow were delighted and Wynne shared a clip someone had shared of him.
The fan wrote: “Glad to see Wynne Evans get his moment. Such a shame we didn’t get to see him dance.”
His singing came as it was revealed he has been caught making a vile sexual comment about a host.
Wynne was recorded suggesting a threesome with presenter Janette Manrara, using the term “spit roast”.
His remark came at a photocall to launch the Strictly live tour, which pro Janette, 41, is hosting.
He reportedly pulled a suggestive face at actor Jamie Borthwick as Janette moved between them — which is when Evans allegedly made the joke.
Addressing the comment he made, Wynne said: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.”
Janette’s spokeswoman said she had been “unaware of this comment”.
BBC and Strictly Live producers said: “We have made it clear to Wynne we do not tolerate such behaviour on tour.”
Last night Wynne shared a picture of his bruised foot and In a video posted on the social media site on Saturday evening, he said: “Ankle’s getting a bit better, it was great to be able to sing in Glasgow tonight, even if I couldn’t dance, hopefully back tomorrow.
“But watch this space, I’ll let you know in the morning. See how the swelling goes down, and all that kind of stuff, thanks for all the lovely messages, amazing.”
Wynne previously came under fire in last year’s series when he was seen groping his dance partner Katya Jones, but they dismissed it as a joke.
Wynne Evans' Strictly scandals
‘Grope’
Wynne encountered a backlash after his Strictly pro partner Katya was filmed removing his hand from her waist.
Fans insisted she looked uncomfortable as she moved it away – but Katya later insisted there was no problem.
In joke
They then sparked further fury, when she was seen refusing to high-five the Opera singer.
The duo were quick to issue a video apology and insisted it was all an innocent “inside joke”.
Crude joke
Wynne came under fire for allegedly telling a “crude” joke to one of the show’s make-up artists.
Insiders claim the opera star made a joke that the folds of his double chin “looked like a vagina”.
A source said: “It was a bit of a vulgar dad joke.”
Vile comment
Wynne was recorded suggesting a three-way sex session with presenter Janette Manrara, using the term “spit roast”.
His remark came at a photocall to launch the Strictly live tour, which pro Janette, 41, is hosting.
He reportedly pulled a suggestive face at actor Jamie Borthwick as Janette moved between them — which is when Evans allegedly made the joke.
Wynne has apologised saying: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.”
