KYREN WILSON is OUT of the Welsh Open, as action heads into the last 16 in Llandudno.
World champion Wilson lost a final-frame decider to Joe O’Connor, which means that Neil Robertson – who also lost at the last-32 stage – remains in the driving seat for the £150,000 Home Nations bonus.
Defending champion Gary Wilson lost in the first round after a shock 4-3 defeat to Ishpreet Chadha on opening day, while Ronnie O’Sullivan withdrew on Tuesday.
The likes of Mark Williams, Mark Allen and Shaun Murphy are also out of the Welsh Open.
