The BBC Radio 1 DJ, 32, partnered up with Wayne Rooney‘s wife to compete against the eight other celebs on a race into camp on the opening show on ITV.

After jumping out of a plane in an epic skydive, Dean got to choose between Coleen or his Radio One work colleague Melvin to choose from.

He shouts: “Melvin, I’m so so sorry! Wagatha Christie you’re coming with me!”

Dean then grabbed Coleen and ran to the next stage in the competition as Team Yellow.

The pair were left in hysterics after their leaky canoe sank in a lake during a challenge against other celebs on I’m A Celebrity.

Speaking before going into the jungle, Dean admitted he will be starstruck in camp and said: “Are you mad? Wagatha Christie, are you mad? Like, Coleen Rooney! I cannot wait!

“I’m going to pull her in for a chat, I’m gonna be like, ‘Oh my God, can I be one of your close friends on Instagram now?’”

The new series of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! kicked off on Sunday night.

Dancer Oti Mabuse, Loose Woman & The Sun’s Jane Moore, Radio 1 DJ Dean McCullough, N-Dubz Singer Tulisa Contostavlosand McFly Star Danny Jones all arrived by jumping out of a plane, while Boxing Champion Barry McGuigan, Podcaster GK Barry, Corrie Star Alan Halsall, DJ Melvin Odoom and Coleen Rooney all gathered on the beach.
