IT looks like boom and gloom for actress Vicky McClure as she appears in explosive new scenes.
She was knocked down in a blast during filming for ITV’s Trigger Point — sparking fears it’s the end for her police bomb squad character.
Production on the third series of the drama began this month with Vicky, 41, on set in London.
But fans may have to wait a while before things go up in smoke.
The newest installment is slated for a January 2026 release date – though viewers will be hoping to get in on the action sooner.
Earlier this week ITV gave an update on the show’s latest series.
Vicky will be, once again, reprising her role as Expo Lana Washington for the six-part series.
Also returning to the hit show will be cast members Eric Shango, Nabil Elouahabi, Natalie Simpson and Maanuv Thiara.
The third series will also feature Jamestown’s Jason Flemyng as a guest star.
Comprising of six episodes, viewers will see Lana and her team investigate a bomb threat that soon reveals itself to be the start of a sinister vendetta.
Very soon they learn that someone is targeting individuals and demanding revenge.
Working alongside the Police Counterterrorism Unit, the Bomb Disposal Squad race against time to find the bomber before they claim their next victim.
