A MAJOR supermarket will be launching a huge toy sale tomorrow with selective kids items slashed by 50%.
Prices will be knocked for a range of themed toys such as Paw Patrol, Barbie and Minecraft.
The supermarket launching the sale is Tesco — and it claims some toys may even be better than half price if you visit stores tomorrow (March 25).
The sale, brought my Tesco‘s toy partner The Entertainer, is just in time for Easter and Eid to help you keep your kids entertained.
It will include some of the latest toys and best-loved brands, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Paw Patrol, Star Wars, Early Learning Centre and Squishmallows.
All toys in the sale are at least half price with more than 50 per cent of them on Clubcard prices.
Among the stand-out toys on offer will be:
- Star Wars Young Jedi HQ Playset — was £94.99, now £23.74
- Lamborghini Veneno RC Car — was £39.99, now £19.99
- Happyland Flower House — was £34.99, now £17.49
- Minecraft assorted characters — was £29.99, now £14.99
- Paw Patrol Marshall deluxe vehicle — was £29.99, now £14.99
- Barbie Fashionista x2 Figure Pack — was £29.99, now £14.99
- Hello Kitty Plush — was £29.99, now £14.99
Tesco Head of Strategy and Partnerships, Pauline Chisholm said: “The half price toy sale is jam-packed with some of the best-loved toy brands.
“With family film releases often leading to top toy trends, one of the biggest events for youngsters during Easter will be the launch of the hotly anticipated Minecraft movie.
“To help Minecraft super fans get ready, the half price sale includes a new set featuring popular figures from the world-building game which are expected to fly off the shelves as the new film launches on big screens from 4 April.”
The sale will run until 21 April, however bear in mind that sales like this tend to sell out quick, so it helps to get to the store as soon as you can.

Also remember to still compare prices to other shops before buying — just because it is on sale in one store, doesn’t make it the cheapest around.
However below we break down some of the products for you, so you know exactly what you’re getting for your money.
STAR WARS YOUNG JEDI HQ PLAYSET – was £94.90, now £23.74
The Young Jedi Adventures HQ Playset is set to get a 75% discount, with its price dropping from £94.90 to just £23.74.
The toy comes with two figures and five accessories, including a lightsaber and a hologram Yoda.
It lights up, makes noise and is suitable for kids aged three plus.
Looking around, it seems to be the best deal you can get on the toy, with the next cheapest offer being £66.49 from the Disney store.
Other Star Wars toys – such as Lego – can cost hundreds of pounds.
Which means you’re saving big by making a quick trip down to Tesco.
PAW PATROL MARSHALL DELUXE VEHICLE – was £29.99, now £14.99
The Paw Patrol Marshall Deluxe Vehicle was originally £29.99 but will be slashed by around 50% tomorrow, dropping to £14.99.
Aged for kids three plus, it comes with a little Marshall the dog figurine as well as his elephant-themed fire truck.
It comes with little plastic ‘water’ balls which can be fired forwards using the vehicle’s trunk.
The same toy is £23 in Argos and £19.99 in Smyths, making it a solid bargain.
HAPPYLAND FAIRY FLOWER HOUSE – was £34.99, now £17.49
The Happyland Fairy Flower House, aimed at kids two to five years old, is seeing a 50% reduction tomorrow in stores.
It is packed with four chunky figures, a charming fairy house, a table and two chairs.
It was £34.99 but is now £17.49, making it close to the cheapest around.
The same toy is £20.99 if you buy from the Entertainer — but currently only £15 in Marks and Spencers, making it a tad pricier in Tesco, even with the sale.
HELLO KITTY PLUSH – was £29.99, now £14.99
The Hello Kitty Plush toys are slashed by 50% tomorrow, bringing them to just £14.99.
However the adorable squishies are actually still cheaper elsewhere, selling for £8 on the Smyths website, and £5.99 in Home Bargains.
It comes as a reminder to always compare searches on other websites before making your purchase.
BARBIE FASHIONISTA X2 FIGURE PACK – was £29.99, now £14.99
To get your hands on Barbie and Ken as well as a bunch of accessories, it will be £14.99 tomorrow compared to the original £29.99.
It’s the cheapest price around — but you can also get it for the same price on Amazon if you miss the sale.
However this may come with additional delivery charges if you are not a Prime member.
What to watch out for when buying toys online
HERE are the British Toy and Hobby Association’s top tips for buying toys online:
- Shop early. Don’t leave purchases to the last minute rush which might leave you fewer options of where to buy from.
- Check out third-party sellers. Look for sellers you recognise and trust. Be cautious of retailers you don’t know and do your research checking reviews and where they’re based.
- Go for branded toys. Try and choose a branded toy as then you can compare it to the manufacturer’s own website to check it’s legit.
- Be careful of going for the cheapest price. If something looks too good to be true, it probably is.
- Check if there are any age restrictions. Make sure you give suitable toys to children based on their age.
- Check reviews carefully. Some reviews are fake so look carefully at the comments.
- Stay with children at first. When your child opens a toy for the first time, stay with them and check for faults, detachable small parts, access to stuffing and loose or accessible batteries or magnets.
