Shoppers go wild for GIANT 2.4kg Celebrations boxes spotted at bargain store for half price

A GIANT 2.4kg Celebration box is half price in a bargain store right now – and you’re going to have to be quick to get your hands on one.

Bargain hunters @newfoodsuk on Instagram gave us the tip after they spotted the huge boxes stacked on shelves.

Large boxes of Celebrations on sale for £11.99.

The mega selection box contains all the beloved wrapped chocolates you’d usually get in a tub of Celebrations.

This means Mars, Twix and Malteasers are included in the mix.

And Newfoodsuk found it in Home Bargains for just £11.19 – almost half its original price.

The page wrote: “Huge boxes of Celebrations spotted @homebargains.”

Excited fans commented “Nice” and flame emojis.

The giant box usually costs £19.99 in Home Bargains so has been hit with a whopping £8 reduction.

The only other places to buy it right now is eBay and Amazon.

In eBay its around the same price, but you’d have to pay delivery, and in Amazon its selling for an eye-watering £34.99.

That makes Home Bargains the cheapest place to get your hands on the whopper treat.

However, it’s unclear whether the mega box is available in all Home Bargains stores, so it might be worth checking with your local.

You can use the store finder tool on the website to find out where your nearest Home Bargains is located.

Then you can either ring up the store, or ask a store assistant in person, whether it’s in stock.

It’s worth getting there as quick as you can before stocks run out.

However, always remember to compare prices between different stores and products.

Trolley is a really useful website for this, as it pulls all the latest offers together for you on one page.

For example, if you did this, you’d find that Home Bargains is the cheapest place to buy Celebrations right now with its current bulk offer.

For a 550g sharing tub, the cheapest price is £4.49 at Aldi.

You could also get it for £6 at MorrisonsIceland or Ocado.

In comparison, you’re getting almost five times the amount in Home Bargains for only twice the price.

While this is a great offer, it comes as a reminder to always check before you buy.

Other chocolate deals The Sun recently discovered in Home Bargains include huge bags of Cadbury buttons for just 89p.

We also discovered bags of ‘Dubai Chocolate’ which were 80% cheaper than the real thing.

And an iconic M&M chocolate, reworked as a hot drink, recently hit the shelves of the budget-friendly supermarket.

To keep up to date on new products in your favourite stores, it helps to join local Facebook groups and Instagram pages.

This way you can be sure to never miss out on a rare sweet treat or a sale.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don’t have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.
