MONTY Don has been left with no power and hit by flooding after Storm Darragh battered his home.
Gardeners’ World fans sent their support for the BBC Two presenter took to social media with a number of ‘concerning’ posts.

The BBC Two star took to Instagram as he showed just how flooded his Longmeadow grounds were[/caption]
He lit the fireplace in his countryside home to try and stay warm[/caption]
Monty, 69, posted several photos onto his Instagram as he detailed the effect of Storm Darragh on his home.
In the first post, the horticulturalist showed how close the flooding was to his Longmeadow estate.
He stood from the second floor of his abode as the water completely flooded the garden below, reaching halfway up the gate.
The gardening expert sarcastically captioned the picture: “Morning.”
In a second post he took a picture of his cosy kitchen area, which contained a roaring fireplace for warmth.
The caption for this post read: “Floods outside, wind still rampaging and no power until tomorrow earliest, so hunkering down with candles and fires.”
His third post showed his kitchen table covered with candles as he entertained himself with newspaper crosswords.
Monty’s tablet device was also getting charged by a mobile power bank which sat amongst the candelabras which he used to light the room.
This was as the fire continued to blaze in the background as he attempted to keep warm.
The caption read: “Settling in for the evening.”
His fans flooded all of the posts with concerned comments for the star as he battled to save his home.
“Looks very Tudor,” stated one fan.
A second stated: “Best of luck.”
Meanwhile, someone else exclaimed: “Glad you’re tucked up in the warm. Take care x”
The rise and rise of Monty Don
SINCE bursting onto our TV screens in Gardeners’ World in the early noughties, Monty Don has been a much-loved star.
Before finding fame on TV, and together with his wife Sarah, Monty set up a lucrative jewellery business in the early 80s.
Monty then joined the popular BBC show as presenter in 2003, taking over from the out going Alan Titchmarsh, and has been there ever since.
Every since he burst onto the scene, he has become a familiar face on the box.
Away from Gardeners’ World he is also known for Monty Don’s Italian Gardens, as well as the French, American and Japanese versions of the show.
Monty also hosted The Secret History of the British Garden
And a fourth user commented: “Oh dear Monty it reached the garden.”
And another fan added: “I hope for safety.”
However, many other users thought his home looked ‘cosy’ and ‘inviting’ as they admired his stunning cottage home.
Another said: “Welcoming. Love the natural flagstones!”

This comes after fans were concerned when the broadcaster was rushed to hospital.
Who is Monty Don’s wife Sarah?
Monty met his wife Sarah while studying at university and they married on July 29, 1983.
The pair ran their own couture costume jewellery business from the early 80s to 1987.
Their pieces were sold in 30 countries worlwide, featured in Vogue, and boasted celebrity fans including the now late Princess Diana and Michael Jackson.
The brand – Monty Don Jewellery – was stocked in Harrods and Harvey Nichols, and the couple went on to open their own store in London’s exclusive Knightsbridge.
Monty previously told the Independent that Sarah was “75 per cent of the designing brains” while he was the salesman.
Sadly, the couple’s business went under in 1987 following the Wall Street Crash and they faced bankruptcy.
However, since then, Sarah has switched her attention to writing and is an author.
Monty, meanwhile, has forged his own successful career as a horticultural expert, writer and TV presenter.
He was set to appear at talks in Exeter, Truro, Bath, and Nottingham before his heath took a sudden turn.
The TV personality explained: “I was rushed to A&E. I was kept in at the hospital over Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and had to have drips and all the rest of it.
“I came home last night, and I’m feeling much better. I’m going to spend the next few days quietly recuperating here at home and hopefully by the weekend I’ll be back to full fitness.”
