LOVE Island star Abi Moores and Nathan Campbell have revealed the very surprise way they met as they open up about their romance.
The Sun revealed last week that Abi, 26, and MAFS star Nathan, 24, were an item after secretly dating for the past month.

The couple have also defended their romance after a source said that Nathan’s ex Lacey Martin believed he was doing it for “fame”.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Abi said: “We wanted to keep it really private to start with. When you date and when you tell someone about it and it just goes terrible. I’ve been single for five years.
“We met and we got on really well and wanted to just make sure it was proper.”
They then revealed that former Love Islander and mutual friend Reuben Collins played “cupid” and set them up on a blind date.
Nathan said at the Radio 1 Weekender Launch Party: “We met organically through friends.”
Abi explained: “Reuben Collins introduced us. I’m really good friends with Reuben, once he came off the show we became friends.
“He always said to me that he felt really sorry for me and my dating life and said ‘why can’t we find you a man?’.
“So he said to me to come down to Sellebrity Soccer because it was in my local area.
“Me and Reuben were going for dinner afterwards but he full on blind dated me – he set me up.
“I turn up and Reuben said he was going in the changing rooms and he’d be right back and then he sent Nathan out, and he said ‘Reuben, told me to come and speak to you because you fancy me.”
Nathan continued: “Reuben played cupid a little bit.”
The pair said their romance is only made better with the fact that they have so much in common and admire characteristics in each other.
“It’s nice to actually have a conversation who is really kind, I’m very easy going, so that’s all I ask is someone who’s nice – Abi’s really nice,” Nathan gushed.
“She’s really kind, that’s all I ever wanted but her eyes, she’s got the cutest eyes.”
While Abi gushed: “He is literally my type to a tee and he’s a nice genuine guy, there’s no hidden agenda.
“I feel like Nathan is not able to lie. So when he says things, he genuinely does mean them.”
Nathan said: “That’s ADHD, I have no filter. If it’s on my mind, it’s coming out. I went up to her and said ‘do you fancy me?’ and she said ‘yeah’.”
Abi agreed and said: “I genuinely say that because I have ADHD and I get on well with someone who else who has neurodiversity, because you’re on the same wavelength and you understand each other.
“I feel like Nathan is like, when you manifest but by accident, I’m really into manifestation, but the best manifestations come from when you’re not really trying.
“Me and my mum said, that I want a kind person and that’s what I’m looking for, he literally is… he is so lovely and he’s very face value. He’s what you see, is what you get.”
The pair said they are yet to become boyfriend and girlfriend, but said their official social media ‘hard launch’ is imminent.
“We met four weeks ago, a bit over a month. We are exclusively dating. For my birthday in April, I’d like to go on holiday. We’re thinking about going away, ” Abi said.
Nathan shared: “It’s going in a good direction.”
While Nathan admitted the feud with his ex Lacey is well and truly behind him as he moves on with blonde bombshell Abi.
He told us: “For me all the [drama] is behind me. I’ve never wanted drama. I never went into the experiment expecting drama – I’m positive vibes only.”
Last week The Sun revealed that Lacey was left furious over her ex’s new relationship, with a source saying she believed he was dating Abi to remain in the public eye.
Nathan shut down those remarks and said: “After the experiment, I was down for quite a while and I was never actively looking for someone. So it’s only by pure chance that I met Abi at a charity event.
“We have a mutual friend called Reuben who played cupid. I’ve been really private about it, I haven’t wanted anyone to know.
“I would never use anyone for clout. It’s not what I’m about.
“I just like nice people and by chance I met Abi.”
While Abi said she has no worries at all about Nathan’s authenticity, saying: “We wanted to keep it quiet at the start, we didn’t want it to be out there and wanted to make sure it was right before it came out.
“We’re together all the time and our social media has been more quiet recently because we’ve been spending so much time together
“We’ve not posted together yet, but we’ll be doing those TikTok trends soon,” Abi laughed.
“Nathan has been the one saying he also wants to keep it quiet, it’s more come from him.
“We’ve been avoiding events, where we’re pictured. Tonight is the first time where we’ve come out.
“I said to him that we’d probably get pictured and he said he was okay. I want to show him off.”
Nathan insisted: “I like Abi, I want to do fun things with her. I don’t want to keep it a secret.
It comes after the explosive MAFS UK reunion last month, where Nathan claimed he had messages from Lacey, 27, suggesting they cash in on their fame with a “showmance” after their split.
After Nathan’s new romance with Abi was revealed, a pal of Lacey’s told The Sun: “Lacey can’t believe after Nathan making out she was the fame hungry one he’s now seeing a girl from Love Island.”
“She feels like this is what he always wanted and that’s fame.
“He spoke about wanting to be a model and be in a boy band and do I’m A Celeb.
“She thinks the whole thing is for publicity and proves her point that it wasn’t a one way street he wanted a showmance too,” they added.
“This just got edited out.”
