Nicola has shared her make-up tricks that keep her skin plump[/caption]
Taking to her TikTok page @nicchapmanhaste she explained how she was going to demonstrate how a few small adjustments with your makeup can help you to achieve a more lifted appearance.
Nicola explained that she was going to use the same products on each side as “it’s not about the product itself but rather the placement. All the products I’ve used will be listed below.”
She first started off with concealer.
To lift the face, apply a small amount of concealer to the inner corner of the eye, a few targeted spots around the face, and a touch on the brow bone to brighten and lift the area.
Nicola says: “It’s important not to overdo it – many people apply concealer all along the under-eye, which isn’t necessary and can actually settle into fine lines, making the makeup look heavy and cakey after a short time.
“Instead, focus on areas where there’s natural darkness, especially the inner corners of the eyes, blending lightly for a seamless finish.”
Next up is bronzer.
She says: “Instead of using it to contour by applying it under the cheekbones, try placing it higher up on the cheeks.
“This will create a healthy, lifted look while enhancing the natural plumpness of the cheeks.”
Nicola then moves onto the blusher.
Position blush slightly higher on the cheeks instead of directly on the apples.
She says: “As we age, the apples of the cheeks can drop slightly, so applying blush further back and blending upwards helps achieve a more elevated appearance.”
A liner-style shadow can make a noticeable difference.
Eyeshadow
Nicola says: “Instead of drawing a straight line across the lid, try angling the brush slightly to create a small wing at the outer corner.
“This subtle adjustment helps to lift the eye. If you have less visible lid space, you can achieve a similar effect by applying shadow or liner along the lower lash line and blending upwards.”
Using powder on your brows can give them a softer, fuller appearance, making them look thicker and more youthful.
Brows
Follow up with a brow gel to lift the hairs and add texture, creating a natural yet polished look.
She also advises to choose a lip liner that’s slightly pinker than your natural lip colour to softly define your lips.

Nicola says: “Blend the liner gently with your finger for a more natural finish, then top with a touch of lip balm for hydration and shine.
“These small, easy-to-implement makeup tweaks subtly lift and enhance the face.
“While the changes are minimal, they create a fresh, elevated look that’s perfect for any occasion.”
Biggest skincare trends for 2025
Face The Future’s Head of Clinic, Kimberley Medd, shared the five skincare trends predicted to take off in 2025.
1. Exosomes
Exosomes are the buzzword for 2025, taking advanced skin regeneration to new heights. These micro-messengers signal skin cells to repair damage, boost collagen, and accelerate recovery, and they’re a gamechanger for targeting ageing.
2. Streamlined Skincare
The age of 12-step routines is fading as consumers shift to more intentional, multi-functional products. Streamlining skincare not only saves time but also reduces the risk of overloading your skin. In 2025, we’ll see a rise in hybrid products that combine active ingredients for simplified, effective results.
3. Vegan Collagen
Plant-based collagen will dominate the skincare world this year, providing a sustainable, ethical alternative to traditional animal-derived collagen. Expect vegan collagen in everything from moisturisers to serums.
4. The Rise Of AI
AI is revolutionising the beauty landscape, making it possible for consumers to get truly personalised skincare solutions. In 2025, we predict a dramatic shift towards AI-powered tools that help people understand their skin on a deeper level.
5. Hair Loss Solutions –
Hair loss is an issue that affects more men than we often realise, and it’s no longer just something we’re talking about behind closed doors. This year, expect to see a continued rise in demand for treatments that not only tackle hair loss but also nurture overall scalp health.
