I live in a caravan – we don’t have electricity or hot water but it’s so cheap, it costs me just £1 a day

Despite not having any hot water, Libby loves her ‘off grid lifestyle’ and has made her caravan incredibly ‘homely’[/caption]

With their “off grid” life, Libby and Ollie don’t have any hot water and their caravan does not have a permanent source of electricity.

Posting on social media, the content creator gave her followers a close-up look inside her home on wheels, as she shared a short clip with the caption ‘We live for under £1 a day. We live a very simple lifestyle in our off grid caravan.’

The animal lover explained: “We wanted a cheap way to live so that we could focus on our business – we started renting this land around a year ago and since then we have been putting our own stamp on it.”

Libby then shared: “We do have this tank in the corner which collects the rainwater – one of the pipes heads out to feed the animals and the other into our caravan.”

Additionally, she confessed: “Our caravan is not connected to the grid in any way, we have no permanent source of electric – our only source of electric is via a generator.”

Libby claimed that when they do get electricity through their generator, they use it “very sparingly”, but “generally for cooking.”

Despite their lack of electricity, Libby and her partner have made their caravan “as homely as possible”.

She also claimed that it is “the perfect amount of space” for the two of them.

Not only do they have a log burning stove for the winter, but they also have simple solar lighting too.

But whilst the couple love their caravan life, Libby recognised: “The only downside is that we have no hot water.”

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @herdandhiveltd, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly racked up 49,400 views, 1,844 likes and 152 comments.

Social media users were impressed with Libby’s lifestyle and many eagerly flocked to the comments to express this.
