FAMOUSLY it was a poisoned apple that caused the initial downfall of Snow White in the Brothers Grimm fairytale.
But now, 223 years on from the beloved story’s publication, it may be the strained relationship between main stars Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot that brings down the film remake of the Disney classic.

The film has already faced backlash for using CGI dwarves and going woke[/caption]
After the US premiere on Saturday, insiders told The Sun the actresses have no contact when the cameras are off and insisted: “They are not friends.”
It’s claimed tensions on set bubbled into a feud, which led to Wonder Woman actress Gal skipping the Spanish launch and only briefly posing with Rachel on the red carpet.
The Los Angeles event was far smaller than normal Disney premieres, with only a select number of photographers allowed to attend – allegedly to limit tricky questions for the ‘warring stars’.
Having weathered accusations of going woke and protests from dwarf actors over CGI being used instead of them, it’s believed they trying to end the scandals by hosting just a ‘handful’ of tightly controlled press events.
Putting together a Hollywood hit has never been easy but it’s especially tricky when cast members are at war, as we reveal by looking back at some of the biggest bust-ups between stars.
‘Abuser playbook’
War wages on between It Ends With Us stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, with a trial date set for March 2026.
What started off as difficult conversations during filming and a feud during the press tour has escalated into one of showbiz’s messiest legal battles.
Blake is suing for alleged sexual harassment, creating a hostile work environment and launching a smear campaign against her, while Justin is counter-suing for $400million claiming defamation, extortion and an attempt to sabotage his career.
Her team claims Justin followed “the abuser playbook” to silence her complaints about filming and his lawyers allege Blake is casting him as “the real-life villain in her story”.
Both sides refute each other’s claims and the legal showdown next year could see A-listers including Hugh Jackman, Taylor Swift and Blake’s hubby Ryan Reynolds all take the stand.

‘Screaming match’
There was scandal aplenty on the set of Don’t Worry Darling – with Olivia Wilde, the 2022 film’s director and star, at the centre of many of them.
It’s claimed there was a “screaming match” between her and Florence Pugh, with the latter frustrated over Olivia’s multiple absences from set after starting a relationship with co-star Harry Styles.
It followed insiders’ claims that “Olivia and Harry would just disappear” during filming and Florence was annoyed at other stars having to pick up the slack.
It didn’t help that Harry secretly kissed co-star Florence on-set weeks before he began a relationship with Olivia, leading to an awkward love triangle.
Prior to that, Olivia was forced to “play mediator” between Florence and Shia Lebouf, who was originally cast as Jack, before he left the project and Harry took over.

One viral video caused chaos for Chris Pine and Harry Styles[/caption]
Sources originally claimed Shia was fired due to his “combative energy”, but later he rebuked the reports by sharing messages that showed Olivia said Florence – who she labelled “Miss Flo” – needed “a bit of a wake-up call”.
After that, Florence did limited press to promote the film and was absent from multiple press conferences and red carpet events. She also left a cinema screening during a four-minute standing ovation.
A viral video also appeared to show Harry spitting on co-star Chris Pine but this was denied by both of the actors’ agents.
Bitter clash
The love story between Noah and Allie in The Notebook is considered among the most beautiful portrayals of a complicated and tragic relationship.

Yet behind the scenes, things were far from smooth. There was no love lost between Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams, who were known to bicker endlessly on set.
Tensions rose to the point where Ryan asked the director to film scenes where she wasn’t on-screen with another actress.

“I can’t. I can’t do it with her. I’m just not getting anything from this,” he allegedly said, before they were forced to sit in a room and hash out their issues.
The director recalled: “They started screaming and yelling at each other. I walked out… It got better after that, you know? They had it out… The rest of the film wasn’t smooth sailing, but it was smoother sailing.”
‘Scared s***less’
Barbarism, ruthlessness and violence unfolded in the post-apocalyptic film Max Max: Fury Road and it seems some of that brutality seeped into actors behind the scenes too.
Tensions between Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron reached fever pitch when he showed up three hours late despite a “special request” to be punctual, according to the film’s camera operator.

Insiders claimed the stars ‘hated each other’[/caption]
He said it led to her branding him “disrespectful” when he showed up, having already screamed: “Fine the f***ing c**t a $100,000 for every minute that he’s held up this crew.”
Charlize admitted they “f***in’ went at it” in a fiery clash that left her “scared s***less” of Tom and added: “We were functioning, in a weird way, like our characters: Everything was about survival.”
Crew insiders said they “hated each other” so much that they refused to talk, be around or even “face each other if the camera wasn’t actively rolling”.
Director George Miller later said there was “no excuse” for both of the actors’ poor behaviour and later Charlize apologised, blaming “overwhelming pressure” from filming.
Massive brawl

Jamie Foxx and LL Cool J traded blows while filming Any Given Sunday[/caption]
Difficulties had been brewing for weeks on the set of 1999 film Any Given Sunday, with LL Cool J allegedly annoyed that Jamie Foxx kept “f***ing with him” and their egos clashing.
Co-star Bill Bellamy claimed during one fight scene, Jamie turned and punched the rapper in the face, which “bust (sic) his lip” and led to a real-life brawl that had to be broken up by police.
After trading several blows, LL knocked out the actor and caused such a bad cut to Jamie’s tongue that he had to be taken to hospital for 16 stitches.
The next day, the rapper brought his “whole crew” to the set and production was halted while the stars hashed out their differences.
Later LL put in another savage dig when in the 2000 track U Can’t F*** with Me, he rapped: “Once and for all, what’s my opinion on Jamie Foxx?/He p**sy/P**sy ain’t funny as Chris Rock, ha.”
Super-bad casting

Jonah Hill ‘immediately hated’ his co-star on Superbad[/caption]
There were fireworks on the set of Noughties comedy-cult classic Superbad, about three loser teens trying to attend a party before going to college.
Jonah Hill hated co-star Christopher ‘McLovin’ Mintz-Plasse so much that he stated, “I don’t like that guy, I don’t want him doing it” and even threatened to quit.
It followed the 17-year-old roasting Jonah so savagely during his improvised audition that he left the room, saying “f*** that guy” and petitioned the director.
Co-star and co-writer Seth Rogen recalled to Vanity Fair: “Jonah immediately hated him. He was like, ‘That was f***ing with my rhythm. I couldn’t perform with that guy.’”
Refusing to back down, producer Judd Apatow told him: “That’s exactly why we’re hiring him. It couldn’t be more perfect. The fact that it bothers you is exactly what we want.”
Grim claims

Rebel Wilson made a number of troubling claims about her time filming Grimsby[/caption]
Rebel Wilson made a series of damning claims about her co-star Sacha Baron Cohen after the release of controversial hit Grimsby in 2016.
The Aussie star accused him of sexual harassment, claimed he repeatedly pestered her to perform naked scenes despite having a ‘no nudity’ contract clause and requested an unsolicited sex act during filming.
Sacha strongly denied all claims and provided video footage that his lawyers claimed was proof that Rebel consented to some scenes. She alleged sections of the conversation were edited out.

Julia Roberts
The details emerged in her memoir Rebel Rising, which she said led her to feel “humiliated and degraded” by his behaviour.
Recalling one troubling moment, she said: “He pulls his pants down…SBC says very matter-of-factly: ‘Okay, now I want you to stick your finger up my ass.’ And I’m like, ‘What??…No!!’
“I was now scared. I wanted to get out of there, so I finally compromised. I slapped him on the ass and improvised a few lines as the character.”
She later claimed to have a “no-a**hole policy” going forward following her time on set with Sacha, meaning she wouldn’t work with difficult stars, and labelled the Brit actor a “massive a**hole”.
‘Brutal blame game’

It’s claimed Sofia Vergara and Reese Witherspoon turned on each other[/caption]
Comedy cop flick Hot Pursuit was tipped for success due to starring acting heavyweights Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara.
But when the 2015 film was savaged by the critics, including one who wrote “a laugh could die of loneliness in this shrill, slapstick buddy farce”, the actresses turned on each other.
Insiders told Radar that after Hot Pursuit barely made back its $35milion, a “brutal blame game” began due to the stars being so “devastated” and desperate to dodge criticism.
“Reese blames Sofia’s accent and ‘irritating laugh’ while Sofia blames Reese for not being sexy or funny enough,” they said.
Filming wasn’t easy either, with Reese complaining that she suffered “whiplash for three days” after a fiery scene where Sofia pulled her hair without permission and an overnight hospital stay due to having “popped an ovary” during a fight scene.
