YOU don’t have to pay a big price to stay beautiful.
Aside from luxury treatments and costly creams, there are plenty of ways to get the glow without spending a pretty penny.

Here’s how . . .
COOL IT: When rinsing your face, stick to tepid water, which can be kinder to it than hot water.
Kimberley Medd, from beauty site facethefuture.co.uk, says: “Hot water may feel relaxing, but it strips your skin of essential oils, leaving it dehydrated and more prone to irritation.”
TAKE TIME OUT: If you use ingredients such as retinol or acids, make sure you take a day or two off them each week to allow your skin time to recover.
Kimberley warns that overuse of these ingredients is one of the biggest mistakes she sees people making with their skin.
She says: “It can lead to redness, dryness and a compromised skin barrier.”
ORDER, ORDER: Always do your skincare after your haircare. That way you’ll avoid the residue that hair products can leave on your skin, which may block pores and cause irritation.
A gentle cleanse after doing your hair will keep skin fresh.
KEEP IT CLEAN: Try and avoid touching your face during the day, so you don’t transfer germs from your hands.
Avoid squeezing spots or blackheads, which can make things worse or lead to scarring. Apply a soothing block of ice instead, to reduce inflammation.
Change your pillowcase at least weekly so you’re not resting your face in a dirty space, and wash make-up brushes with a gentle shampoo every few weeks.
MAKE A MASK: Give winter skin a treat with a home-made face mask. Mix half a cup of plain yogurt, half an avocado, and a quarter cup of honey together, and leave it on your face for 20 minutes.
Wipe off gently with a clean, warm cloth and repeat.
