EMMERDALE killer Ella Forster is set to strike again and take hostages in her dramatic exit plot.
Viewers know Ella – played by Paula Lane – is soon leaving the ITV soap.
Ella Forster’s Emmerdale exit looms imminently[/caption]
She sits down with her former friend Mandy Dingle[/caption]
But things escalate, forcing Liam to come over[/caption]
And after a tumultuous year in the village, dramatic upcoming scenes suggest it won’t be a quiet departure.
Ella confronts Mandy (Lisa Riley) unannounced at home demanding to speak with Liam.
When Mandy refuses, Ella holds her former friend against her will, forcing Liam to come over.
Ella again tries to convince Liam she’s being framed, while he attempts to trick her into confessing by pretending to get back together.
After catching on to Liam’s deception, Ella grabs hold of a knife again.
Chas (Lucy Pargeter) and Mandy arrive while Ella flees with Liam in pursuit.
A confrontation occurs in the woods where Ella pushes Liam, causing him to fall and hit his head.
Believing she might have killed him, Ella sobs over his body.
Earlier, Liam and Chas are left very concerned when Ella starts to persistently call and message them.
John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) suggests to Liam that he turn off his phone – and initially, all seems well.
Ella’s harassment escalates as she seemingly sends an email cancelling Liam and Chas’ wedding.
A desperate Liam calls the police, but PC Swirling (Andy Moore) informs him they can’t act until Ella is found.
Things in the village become even more intense when a pub window is smashed.
Meanwhile, an unseen Ella watches Liam and Chas board it up.
The Sun were the first to reveal that Paula Lane would be exiting the soap after her stint as Ella fell rather flat with very little fanfare.

A devout Muslim, Syed refused to admit his true sexuality and went ahead and married Amira anyway, but when they returned, the two men started an affair before being caught in the act by Amira.
CORONATION STREET
Shelley/Peter/Lucy: Peter Barlow took the concept of a love triangle and ran with it in Coronation Street – extending it to bigamy.
He was in a relationship with Shelley Unwin but started dating Lucy Richards, and quickly married her after she fell pregnant with his son, Simon.
But it didn’t stop him also marrying Shelley, but he was eventually caught when Lucy turned up in Weatherfield and the two women confronted him.
Ken/Deidre/Mike: Back in 1982, Deirdre Barlow started sleeping with her husband’s nemesis Mike Baldwin in secret, before confessing all a year later.
When Mike turned up at the marital home, Deirdre was being throttled by her husband who then kicked her out, but years later they reconciled.
Maria/Aidan/Eva: In 2017, Aidan Connor started sleeping with girlfriend Eva Price’s best friend, Maria Connor.
Eva eventually found out and she decided to take revenge by faking a pregnancy, spending his money and planned to confront him on their wedding day.
But she had a change of heart when a remorseful Aidan confessed, and decided to marry him anyway, only for Maria to arrive and expose her fake pregnancy.
EMMERDALE
Ross/Debbie/Pete: Debbie Dingle found herself torn between two brothers, Ross and Pete Barton in 2015 in Emmerdale.
She eventually decided to marry Pete but yet again, a soap wedding day was ruined when the groom learned of his bride’s betrayal via a recording played at the wedding.
Chrissie/Robert/Aaron: Robert Sugden was married to Chrissie White and all seemed well – until he began a steamy affair with Aaron Dingle.
Robert’s ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair – but fell to her death before she had the chance.
However, a guilty Aaron eventually cracked and told Chrissie about the affair – after which she announced it to the whole pub.
Ella’s dark storylines have included murder and being locked up for assault.
Paula first appeared to confirm she had quit the show when she updated her professional Spotlight account to confirm she would cease filming on the soap opera in February 2025 after 16 months in the role.
This suggested the star would remain on screens until at least late March.
