Benny, is the quirky funny best friend who helps Tom on his many missions using his skills in technology.
The show ran from 2012-2014 and has many connections to Doctor Who with Percelle going on to appear in Doctor Who-related works following his time on the kids series.
The show was originally created to fill in the 5 pm schedule slot previously held by sister show, The Sarah Jane Adventures after its main actress, Elisabeth Sladen died.
Percelle left the show in 2014 after 3 seasons and ended up going on to bag himself numerous acting credits.
In 2018, Ascott starred in the Netflix supernatural series The Innocents alongside Hollywood A-Lister Guy Pearce.
That same year, he went on to appear in the Doctor Who episode The Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos as well as Rapman’s web trilogy Shiro’s Story which has amassed over 30 million views on Youtube.
