The reigning world champion, 18, will not be at the event in Riesa, Germany, this weekend.

Littler has already racked up over £700,000 in prize money in 2025.

Littler has chosen to take the weekend off amidst a packed schedule.
World No1 Luke Humphries will be in attendance, along with Premier League stars Rob Cross, Nathan Aspinall and Gerwyn Price.
Littler has been in electric form since winning his maiden PDC world title on January 3.
He will however appear in Berlin on Thursday in Week 5 of the Premier League.
The Nuke bagged £500,000 for beating Michael van Gerwen 7-3 at Ally Pally.

In total, including his displays at two ProTours in Leicester, he earned £166,000 in prize money between February 28 and March 20.
He has also received a set of £30,000 18ct gold darts from bookies BetMGM for his stunning 9-darter against MVG earlier this month.
Away from the oche, Littler was recently spotted alongside rumoured girlfriend Faith Millar.

Glamorous Real Madrid TV host in busty display as she treats fans to mesmerising gym workout video after landing new job
GLAM sports presenter Maria Arreghini set pulses racing with an eye-catching display during her gym workout.
The Italian recently landed a new job as a host on Real Madrid TV.

Maria is a well known figure with almost 700,000 followers on Instagram alone.
She often shares life updates with her fans on social media and recently showed off her work out.
The Real Madrid fan shared a video of herself in the gym sporting a low-cut top.
She captioned the post: “First training of the week after.”
Maria has previously attracted the attention of Conor McGregor and is a few weeks into her new job.
The 26-year-old declared her allegiance to Los Blancos in an Instagram post last October where she was seen in a Real shirt standing next to a trophy cabinet containing Champions League trophies.
And in late January she shared a behind-the-scenes snap on her first day working with the club.
Since then she has posted a number of stories to her social media of her presenting work both at the training ground and at the illustrious Santiago Bernabeu.
As well as appearing on tele, the blonde bombshell presents her very own sports show – in which she covers boxing and football.
She has even featured boxer Ryan Garcia as a guest on her podcast, with other major names including musician Will.i.am, ex-Premier League star Adel Taarabt and former motorcylist Jorge Lorenzo.
Maria was a competitive swimmer for around a decade, while studying journalism at university to ignite her career.
Super rare 2p coins worth up to £1,000 that could be hiding in your change
TWO extremely rare 2p coins that might be worth up to £1,000 could be sitting in your wallet right now.
The Royal Mint manufactures an average of two billion coins a year – and now and then there are production errors.

These errors actually make the coins highly valuable for collectors.
TikTok user @coincollectingwizard has shared two of the errors you should look out for on your 2p coins that could make you a small fortune…
Silver 2p coin

The 2p coin was originally minted from bronze, but since 1992 it’s been made with copper-plated steel.
That gives it its distinctive copper look.
However a small number of 2ps have accidentally been minted on the same base as the silver 10p coin.
They are therefore silver as they have been manufactured with nickel-plated steel.
If you find a silver 2p coin, you’re in luck as it could sell for more than £1,000.
Back in 2016, a silver 2p sold for £1,350 – which is 67,500 times its face value.
It was nearly thrown away as a presumed fake after it was discovered in a Poppy Appeal tin.
1983 ‘New Pence’ 2p coin

Another rare 2p is the 1983 ‘New Pence’ coin.
Between 1971 and 1981, all 2p coins were struck with the words ‘New Pence’ on their reverse.
Since 1982 this inscription has been replaced with the word ‘Two Pence’.
But in 1983 a small number of coins were mistakenly struck with the wording ‘New Pence’ on the reverse.
The Royal Mint says these coins were “produced to brilliant uncirculated quality”, meaning they are a standard higher than most coins in circulation.
They were also included in special sets intended for collectors.
Since there aren’t many of these error coins in circulation, collectors will want to get their hands on them.
What other rare coins should you look out for?
One of the most collectable coins is the 50p.
Among the most valuable of these is the Kew Gardens design, which was created in 2009.
Only 210,000 of these special coins were made.
According to The Royal Mint, the Kew Gardens 50p has become one of the most talked about collectors coins in the last 15 years.
One recently sold on eBay for £157.
Other 50ps to look out for are the Olympic designs.
These were released by the Royal Mint in 2011 to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Some are more rare than others, but all are becoming increasingly difficult to find in your change.
What should you do if you find a rare coin?
It’s worth remembering that a rare coin is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
They might be happy to pay more if it will complete their collection, for example.
The Royal Mint has said it is unable to comment on the value of any individual coin so it is best to consult a coin dealer.
You can do this by contacting the British Numismatic Trade Association.
You can visit their website at: www.bnta.net.
If you want to get an idea of how much your coin is worth, you can look online to see what it’s sold for previously.
On eBay you can look at the “sold listings” to see what people have paid before.

Popular condiment could be harming your mental health – ‘raising your risk of depression’
A COMMON condiment sprinkled on most meals could be to blame for your depression, researchers have suggested.
Their study, conducted on mice, showed that eating too much salt could negatively affect mental health.

A diet high in sodium can increase your risk of heart disease, stroke, and kidney disease.
Now, scientists from Nanjing Medical University say it could impact mental health too, after they found that mice who were given salty foods developed depression-like symptoms.
They said this was because the high salt diets affected the production of the cytokine IL-17A.
Cytokines are signalling proteins that help control inflammation in your body.
They allow your immune system to defend your body if germs or other substances that can make you sick enter it.
IL-17A is one of those infection-fighting proteins that helps recruit other immune cells to the site of infection and makes the body’s defences stronger.
The cytokine has previously been linked to depressive symptoms.
Lead author Dr Xiaojun Chen said:“This work supports dietary interventions, such as salt reduction, as a preventive measure for mental illness.
“It also paves the way for novel therapeutic strategies targeting IL-17A to treat depression.”
It’s not the first piece of research to look into the connection between diet and depression.
Previous studies have linked ultra processed foods – which tend to be high in salt, sugar and fat – to an increased risk of developing depression.
To examine the effect of salt on mental health, scientists gave mice either a normal or high-salt diet for five to eight weeks and observed their behaviour.
After five weeks, the mice gorging on salt showed less interest in exploring and were more inactive compared to mice fed a normal diet, suggesting depression-like symptoms.
The study – published in The Journal of Immunology – showed that mice fed lots of salt also experienced an increase in the production of IL-17A in their cells, spleens and certain areas of the brain.
Researchers also observed the behaviours of mice who couldn’t produce IL-17A as they didn’t have a specific receptor.
These mice didn’t display depression-like symptoms when being fed a high salt diet.
Researchers said their findings “suggest that [a high-salt diet] drives depression-like behaviour in mice through inducing IL-17A production.”
Finally, the study authors shut off cells producing IL-17A in mice experiencing depressive symptoms for their salty diets.
How much salt should you be eating a day?
Here's how much salt you should have daily according to your age:
- 11 years and over – No more than 6g (around one teaspoon)
- Seven to 10 years old – No more than 5g
- Four to six years old – No more than 3g
- One to three years old – No more than 2g
- Under one year old – Less than 1g
Here are some ways to reduce salt consumption:
- Try adding flavour to your food with herbs and spices, black pepper, garlic, chili or lemon juice instead of salt
- Limit the amount of salt you add when cooking and eating – try tasting your food before adding any extra salt to your meals
- Check food labels – look for products with green and amber colour-coded labels on the front of the packaging
- Choose lower-salt foods by checking the salt content on the back or side of the packaging
- Try low or reduced-salt versions of foods and sauces – for example, low salt soy sauce and stock cubes
- Buy tinned vegetables, pulses or fish in water instead of brine
- eat salty foods less often or in small amounts – for example, cured meats and fish, cheese, olives and pickles
- Have healthier snacks, such as plain rice cakes, fruit, vegetable sticks or unsalted nuts
- Be aware that some dissolvable tablets, such as painkillers, vitamins or prescription medicines, may be high in salt – speak to your GP before changing any medicines
- Don’t have salt on the table if you’re trying to cut down

They found that this seemed to diminish depressive behaviour in mice.
Under NHS guidelines, adults should consume no more than one level teaspoon of salt a day to lower the risk of high blood pressure.
This amounts to 6g of salt a day and includes salt that’s already added to food as well as what you sprinkle onto your meal.
“We hope these findings encourage discussions on salt consumption guidelines,” Dr Chen said.
Richard Calderone, an osteopathic physician who was not involved in this study, noted to Medical News Today: “Although these findings were in mice, it is reasonable to investigate the effect of limiting salt intake on depression in humans.
“It should be noted that depression is a complex, multi-factorial condition, and that even with promising studies like this, it remains too early to know the quantity of salt intake necessary to demonstrate any clinical difference in humans.
“The study provides a biological explanation for the association between high salt intake and depression, identifying new targets for potential treatments.”
