Millions have seen Jack P. Shepherd and Patsy Palmer grow up in front of their eyes on their respective soaps.

I’ve worked with chat show legend Trisha Goddard on her TalkRadio show and I can confirm that she’s brilliant to work with.

There’s no doubt that bagging a Hollywood star like Mickey Rourke, 72, is also huge coup for the commercial network.

The other rumoured contestant is Tory boy Michael – Boris Johnson lookalike – Fabricant.

But I’m going to be honest, compared to previous lineups it’s giving more dowdy than glamour.

I remember the days when Tiffany Pollard slammed Gemma Collins for wanting her Louboutin heels back.

That same year we had Megan McKenna and all her natural beauty fumes in the diary room about how tired she was.

This was all in the midst of the blossoming relationship with Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis and Jeremy McConnell.

I remember that year as I sat in the press conference task thinking that we had a legendary lineup.

Oh how the mighty have fallen.

But that was simply the culmination of a number of series from Channel 5 with entertaining (and uber sexy) personalities.

Who can forget the thirteenth series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2014? I know that the idea of that series lives rent free in my mind.

I remember going into the BBBOTS studio and personally discussing the sultry antics of all the housemates with hosts Emma Willis and Rylan Clark.

Dappy was the star name for the series, who aside from NDubz was best known for his infamous full frontal aubergine snap.

Yes we had Jim Davison, but we also had Casey Batchelor and Jasmine Waltz battle it out over Blue singer Lee Ryan.

The Apprentice breakout star Luisa Zissman – who famously described herself as ‘Albert Einstein meets Jessica Rabbit’ – also featured that year.

I can tell you that there was far more hopping in the house than thinking about the theory of relativity.

The housemates were handcuffed together on opening night, Dappy wore a nappy as a punishment, and I remember Luisa and Jasmine snogging in the hot tub bath.

Compared to previous years, the 2025 lineup is sadly looking more snooze-fest than sexy.

There were plenty of other standout moments from other editions, like when Austin Armacost and James Hill stripped down for Sherrie Hewson‘s birthday.

Celebrity Big Brother 18 saw Aubrey O’Day, Marnie Simpson, Chloe Khan and Katie Waissel compete in one lineup!

Then there was the fact that Chloe Goodman, Cami-Li, Katie Price and Patsy Kensit also shared a house together?

2017’s All Stars Vs New Stars series saw Chloe Ferry, Nicola McLean, Bianca Gascoigne and Jessica Cunningham all come together.

Other sexy names over the Channel 5 years include Gabby Allen, Courtney Stodden, Charlotte Crosby, Stephanie Pratt, and amongst others.

The point is, there is a long history of multiple beauties to walk through the hallowed sliding entrance doors and made it extra exciting for viewers to watch as the chemistry fizzed.

Compared to previous years, the 2025 lineup is sadly looking more snooze-fest than sexy thanks to the lack of single celebs.

If ITV continues this way, the viewers could drop down to the size of Chesney’s famous hit, the one and only.

GEORGIA Scholes has been seen for the first time just weeks after she gave birth to her second child.

And now Georgia has been seen as she enjoyed the April sunshine with her second born.

She looked radiant as the family of four fed the ducks during a day out in Manchester.

Georgia were a blue and white stripped blouse which she paired with black joggers.

Her partner Bartek could be seen in the snaps with their eldest child Thea, who was born in 2022 after another secret pregnancy.

Georgia joined The Bay as Erin Fischer for series three and has remained with the programme ever since.

She plays the stepdaughter of family liaison officer DS Jenn Townsend.

Georgia lives a rather glamorous life and isn’t afraid of stripping down to a bikini on holiday for some sizzling Instagram snaps.

Her two-year-old daughter Thea has previously starred in The Bay.

Confirming her baby would be seen on screens in the new series, the actress wrote: “In celebration I thought i’d share why this season is so special to me, THEA made her tele debut !!!

“It’s so magical to me that Season 4 Thea was in my belly and now season 5 she gets to be a part of the magic again but here in person!!”

Ruth said how Joan, 94, was forced to attend hospital after a nasty chest infection ‘got the better of her’.

Sharing a snap from hospital, she said: “Another hospital visit for Mum last night….chest infection got the better of her.

“They sent her home after a few hours of care though…..thank you to all the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital, Surrey for looking after us so well.”

Last December Ruth told fans how her Christmas plans with her mum were thrown into chaos after Joan fractured her pelvis.

Her mum’s injury prompted Ruth’s ex Eamonn to publicly get in touch.

A post about Joan’s health was commented on by hoards of celebrity friends and fans – but was also ‘liked’ by ex-husband Eamonn.

Ruth has previously opened up about Joan’s health battle as she receives care in a home while living with Dementia.

She is incredibly close to her mum and previously broke down in tears over not being able to visit during the peak of coronavirus lockdown rules.

For the first time in a while, these two old rivals have little to play for as far as the Premier League is concerned.

And it showed during a largely forgettable 90 minutes.

Roy Keane made his feelings abundantly clear speaking on Sky Sports, calling the clash a “friendly derby” which had a glaring “lack of quality”.

At least Ederson ensured KDB’s final match up against the neighbours did not end up in a third straight derby defeat.

He made a flying late save from sub Joshua Zirkzee to ensure City got a point in their bid to make the Champions League places.

But actually the most interesting moment of the game came inside the first minute.

Their best moment came when Nico O’Reilly found Omar Marmoush but Harry Maguire got back to make a key block.

Meanwhile, Mazrouai had to head off the line after Casemiro and Andre Onana made a hash of dealing with a De Bruyne corner.

The second half had to be better – and to be fair it was.

Phil Foden ran onto a flick by Marmoush and got in behind the United defence only for Mazrouai to make another saving tackle – even winning the goal-kick.

The Three Lions man was hooked soon after – it more or less sums up the season he has had.

His England team-mate Harry Maguire also went off to be replaced by Victor Lindelof – which will be a concern ahead of the Europa League quarter final with Lyon.

De Bruyne saw a free-kick pushed away theatrically by Onana – but replays showed it was a routine save – a good one for the cameras.

You can’t blame the Cameroon for trying to provide a bit of drama and he did so again minutes later – pushing away a stinging volley by Marmoush.

Sub Zirkzee could have won it late on as he ran onto Dorgu’s cross but his effort was pushed away by Ederson.

Mason Mount had also come off the bench for his first appearance at Old Trafford since December but he saw the rebound blocked.

Unlike at the Etihad just before Christmas, there was to be no late drama this time.

One of those kids was teenager Melanie ‘Mel’ Barker played by Danielle McCormack.

Danielle, now 41, has reflected on her childhood fame in a new video on TikTok.

She said: “I played Mel, who was the oldest of the three children. Mel was a really interesting character because she was sort of known for her very moody personality and her very eclectic, punky dress sense.

“She was very multifaceted, and there were lots of layers to her.

“I think playing Mel was probably one of my biggest achievements. Just because I think a lot of what she was going through really resonated with people.”

She continued: “It’s always really nice to hear when people tell me that they were going through a really difficult time and they found comfort in some of Mel’s storyline.

“That’s something that I’m always going to be really proud of.”

Danielle looked amazing in the video, with perfect make up and her brown hair hanging straight and glossy around her shoulders.

Fans of the show commented on her video, with one writing: “My Parents Are Aliens was my CHILDHOOD”.

Another added: “With the volume of horror stories coming out about child actors on kids shows, it’s really refreshing and heartwarming to hear you had such a positive experience (PS Mel was an icon).”

A third wrote: “Wikipedia says you are 41 No way do I believe that, you haven’t aged at all!”

Danielle also spoke about the cast’s recent reunion to celebrate the show’s 25th anniversary.

She said: “Recently, we had a 25th-anniversary party, which was really, really nice.

“I don’t think we’ve all been in the same room together since we were actually filming the show. It felt like no time had passed.

“I think you always [value] the sort of connections that you’ve made with someone where you can not see someone for a really long time, and then you’re back in a room with them again, and it just feels like they’re exactly the same person.

“Although we all looked a little bit older, I’m not going to lie.”

The My Parents are Aliens cast also included Tony Gardner, Carla Mendonça, Alex Kew and Charlotte Francis.
