Tai Woffinden health update as wife Faye reveals stricken Speedway star is ‘fighting’ in medically induced coma
TAI WOFFINDEN’S wife Faye says he is “fighting” as he remains in a medically induced coma following a high-speed crash in Poland.
Woffy, 34, was airlifted to hospital in Krosno on Sunday and underwent emergency surgery after suffering numerous fractures and a chest injury.

Britain’s most successful speedway star of all time got caught in a three-rider and bike pile-up and smashed into a protective airfence at high speed while racing for Rzeszow.
Faye has flown in from Australia to Poland to be by her husband’s side alongside his mum Sue.
She said: “Our brave boy is here with us! fighting, healing, and resting.
“Tai has been through more than we can even begin to imagine. Multiple broken bones, major surgeries, blood transfusions – his body has endured so much.
“And yet, his spirit stays strong. So does our hope. We’re holding on tightly, believing that each day will bring more healing, more strength, and more of him back to us.
“Anyone who knows Tai knows how open, honest, and full of life he is.
“When he’s ready, he’ll share his story in his own way. But right now, his only job is to rest, to heal, and to find the strength to get through this.
“The love, kindness, and support we’ve received from all of you has been overwhelming in the most beautiful way. There truly aren’t words to express how deeply grateful we are.
“While we hesitate to name individuals for fear of missing anyone, we want to extend our deepest thanks to those who played a part in saving Tai.

“To the special person we cannot name, whose quick actions arranged the helicopter to the track so promptly, and to the medical team inside who cared for Tai before he even reached the hospital—you gave him a fighting chance, and we will never forget that.
“To Dr. Paweł Jasiński, for organizing every surgery and ensuring Tai has the best possible team. To Rafał Roger Piątek, who has not only been by Tai’s side but also ours through it all. To Basia Karczewska, for her constant support and kindness.
“To the incredible doctors and medical team in Rzeszów. To the Stal Rzeszów team, especially Paweł Piskorz and Michał Drymajło your unwavering support means everything.
“To our family, our friends, and every single person who has reached out, offered help, or simply held us in their thoughts—thank you. From the bottom of our hearts.
“Your love has carried us through the darkest moments. We will never forget it.
“Lots of love Faye & Sue.”
“Tai has been through more than we can even begin to imagine.

Watch moment rape cult leader who told followers he was an alien called Great Shaman is arrested in Argentina
THIS is the moment a Russian rape cult leader who called himself an alien named Great Shaman is arrested in Argentina.
Konstantin Rudnev, 57, was handcuffed and dragged away by cops at Bariloche Airport as he attempted to flee to Brazil with six women.

Video shows the twisted guru — who once claimed to be a god from the star Sirius — being busted in a dramatic operation that saw 14 suspects snared at two airports over 1,000 miles apart in a joint swoop by Argentine authorities.
Rudnev — already convicted of rape and running a violent sex cult in Russia — reportedly tried to slit his throat with a razor as officers closed in, according to El Pais.
He was reportedly treated for his injuries and was pictured with a bandage around his neck.
He now faces fresh charges of human trafficking, sexual exploitation and drug offences, more than a decade after he was jailed for 11 years in Siberia for a string of abuse crimes involving female followers.
The bizarre cult, Ashram Shambala, founded in 1989 in Novosibirsk, brainwashed followers — mostly women — into surrendering their property.
They would reportedly cut ties with loved ones and take part in so-called “ritual orgies” in exchange for “salvation.”
Women were allegedly coerced into sex with Rudnev — while male followers were ordered to remain celibate.
The cult even flogged recordings of the encounters to fund operations and promised spiritual enlightenment via “women’s practices” and Eastern esotericism.
Rudnev once wrote a book titled ‘The Way of the Madman’, which became required reading among the group’s 20,000-strong base of fanatics across 18 Russian regions.
He previously served in the Soviet military but ended up in a psychiatric hospital after going berserk on guard duty, opening fire at random targets.

Authorities swooped after a 22-year-old pregnant Russian woman arrived at a hospital in the picturesque Patagonian city of Bariloche.
Medics were alarmed by her terrified expression and frail condition — and the suspicious behaviour of two Russian women who accompanied her.
“Her passport said she was 22, but if she’s even 15, that’s too old,” a detective told local outlet Infobae, raising fears the woman could be a minor.
Police linked the women to Rudnev and tracked him down at the airport — just as he was about to board a flight to Buenos Aires with a connection to Porto Alegre in Brazil.
A simultaneous sting at the Buenos Aires airport netted the rest of the cult, including another man and six women — five Russian and one Mexican.
All 14 suspects were remanded in custody.
Cops found 130 cocaine pills, $15,000 in cash, a satellite phone, 12 mobiles and 10 SIM cards in their possession, El Pais reports.
A former member of the cult previously told Russian media: “One of the sect’s mottos and one of the guru’s favorite expressions is ‘eat less, jump more!’ My body began to wear out and I lost a lot of weight. I looked like a dystrophic alcoholic.”

Women were said to be fed leftovers from those higher in the sect’s pyramid, while “ritual pornography” was filmed — including at a luxury hotel in Montenegro last year where Rudnev was previously detained.
Religious scholar Alexander Neveev described the cult as a “very dangerous pseudo-tantric group” practising “ritual violence” under the guise of spirituality.
Rudnev was released from prison in 2021 and had been living under the radar until his re-emergence in South America.
Now locked up again, he faces a new legal nightmare — as investigators probe whether the other detainees are fellow perpetrators or victims under his twisted spell.
The young mother and her newborn have been separated from the group for their safety.
The case is being handled by the Federal Prosecutor’s Office in Bariloche. A preliminary hearing is expected in the coming days.
The investigation is ongoing.

“Either to my residential address or on holiday,” replied Katrina.
“Would love to live in a caravan,” penned a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: “I’d love to live in a caravan, but I don’t drive and worry I won’t find work nearby as they are usually a bit further out.”

Alison Hammond moves in with Spice Girl and Hollywood hunk as she explores their homes in new BBC series
IF you’re a nosy so-and-so like me, Alison Hammond’s new Big Weekend telly show is going to be right up your street.
I can exclusively reveal that Alison has signed up some huge names, including actor Luke Evans, plus singers Perrie Edwards and Mel B, who have all welcomed her into their homes for a poke around.

The series, made by BBC Studios Entertainment, airs this summer and will see Little Mix star Perrie, Dracula Untold leading man Luke and Spice Girl Mel allowing cameras into their lives — to show the public what they’re really like.
An insider said: “Alison’s new Big Weekend series is shaping up to be amazing and she has already filmed with some massive names.
“The show offers a really candid insight into the stars’ lives.
“She literally moves in with them and then gets under their skin and sees what makes them tick.
“Perrie’s fans, for example, have never really seen her at home and it will be a really revealing watch.
“She talks a lot about her life in Little Mix and the transition from that to motherhood and then launching a solo career.
“It’s the same with Luke, who is a genuinely big acting star.
“No one would have guessed he’d ever sign up for something like this.
“Luke’s fans only know him for his on-screen work, so to have Alison probing him with questions in his own home is something no one has seen before. They really are both amazing signings.”
But it’s Mel B who really spices up the humour.

The insider said: “Mel for comedy is amazing.
“She and Alison get on like a house on fire. For Spice Girls’ fans, it is something you don’t want to miss.”
I’m told there are at least three other big names who have welcomed the This Morning presenter into their homes, with the new series running across six episodes on BBC One.
Jade dreams of album 2

JADE THIRLWALL hasn’t even released her debut solo album yet – but she’s already lining up the second record.
I’m told the Angel of My Dreams singer is back in the studio working on ideas.
Keen to make 2025 her year, Jade is also thinking of ideas for her first solo tour, which is due to take place this autumn.
Bizarre understands that the trek will see her play medium-size venues, including the 3,600 capacity Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith, West London.
A source said: “Jade is laser-focused on making this year a big one for her.
“She’s been keen not to rush the first album, as she was finding her sound and footing as a solo artist. But now she’s feeling really confident and has big plans.
“Her team are working on putting together a UK tour for the autumn, which she hopes will be big and bold.
“Her Brit Awards performance was super-dramatic and went down a storm, so she’s hoping the tour will be in the same vein.
“As for album two, she’s only just got back into the studio and is still working out the direction.”
The plans mirror that of Harry Styles, who played theatre-sized venues in 2017, in support of his debut album.
The tour included two nights at the Eventim Apollo and one performance in Manchester.
He’s now one of the biggest stars on the planet, so no doubt Jade and her team are hoping history repeats itself.

THE Disney live-action remake of Tangled is on hold after Snow White’s underwhelming performance at the box office.
A new version of the 2010 animation had been in the works for years, with The Greatest Showman director Michael Gracey set to helm it.
It is now on ice, amid the reception to Snow White, starring Rachel Zegler which looks unlikely to recoup its $270million budget.
But a live-action version of Lilo & Stitch is still due out next month, followed by a remake of 2016’s Moana in July next year.
Lily’s Lotus bid fails to flower

LILY ALLEN has told that she was rejected for a role on hit Sky Atlantic drama White Lotus.
She will play the lead in Hedda at Theatre Royal Bath this summer, but said telly is her real goal.
Revealing on her Miss Me? podcast how she filmed her solo audition, Lily said: “I did do a self-tape for White Lotus and obviously did not get it. But I think I’m a bit scared of doing self-tapes.
“Maybe now I would do them because I don’t think people give as much of a s**t about me any more.”
On her dream role, after moving back to the UK from New York, she added: “I don’t really know if the Oscars is what I’m going for, but a nice UK detective series, I’d love that.”
I CAN reveal former Celebrity Big Brother stars rejected huge amounts to return.
It is back on Monday and a source said: “Gemma Collins and Jewards were both offered deals reaching into six figures.
“They both love attention and the show but felt like it would be a step backwards.”
Harry Clark, the 2024 winner of The Traitors, also said no.
It’s Flo white in Sin City

FLORENCE PUGH was all white on the night in this mini-dress and cowboy boots for an appearance at CinemaCon.
On the final day of the film extravaganza in Las Vegas, the actress debuted five minutes of her new Marvel movie Thunderbolts, ahead of its release next month.
There were loads of stars there to show off projects, with Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan putting on bright outfits to discuss Freakier Friday, their sequel to 2003’s Freaky Friday.
Glen Powell talked about his The Running Man remake, while Oscar-winner Zoe Saldana showed snippets of the upcoming Avatar: Fire And Ash.
Tom Cruise, Mark Hamill and Ana De Armas were among others there, alongside Jeremy Allen White who showed a trailer for his Bruce Springsteen biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere.
Brooklyn Beckham reveals which classic pop song his mum Victoria listened to during his birth
VICTORIA Beckham blasted out Abba as she gave birth for the first time.
Her oldest child Brooklyn revealed he entered the world to a song from their 1999 musical Mamma Mia!.

He was promoting his new hot sauce venture on Instagram when he read out posts from followers.
One, in the style of an Italian chef, asked: “Mamma mia. Are you going to put me out of a job?”
Entrepreneur Brooklyn, 26, laughed: “That’s funny as I was born to a Mamma Mia! song.
“Well I’m not an actual chef. I just make hot sauce.”
Then-Spice Girl Victoria and footballer hubby David hired out a suite at London’s exclusive Portland Hospital for baby Brooklyn’s arrival.
Victoria has since said she would love to have a Spice Girls’ avatar show similar to the ABBA Voyage phenomenon — as she is unlikely to sing on stage again.
She said: “I love the girls. I really, really enjoy singing Spice Girls when I’m doing karaoke, but I think I’d better leave it there.”
The fashion designer and mum of four added: “I really enjoy singing Spice Girls when I’m doing karaoke, but I think I’d better leave it there.”

I met my man’s parents on date night only to discover I’ve snogged his DAD – I’m gutted
“Your future baby’s granddad has had his tongue down your throat and you are the mistress.”
The clip racked up 27,000 views, with social media users left just as shocked by it.
“It could have been the dad’s twin brother. Did the dad remember her?” one questioned.
A second simply gasped: “Omg.”
And a third cried: “NOOOOO!!!”
