BARGAIN-HUNTERS are scrambling to bag a Dyson dupe fan from B&M – and it’s causing a frenzy online.
Shoppers in the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group have been going wild for the Blaupunkt Bladeless Standing Fan, which is being sold at the discount retailer for just £39.
That’s a whopping £311 cheaper than the £350 Dyson model it’s being compared to.
Fans of the product have taken to Facebook to share just how impressed they are with the bargain dupe.
One user said: “It keeps the bedroom nice and cold”, and “looks really cool”.
Another added: i love it, it’s really good.
The budget-friendly buy is said to be far quieter than traditional bladed fans, takes up less space, and offers the same cooling airflow for a fraction of the price.
One woman who posted about her find said: “So much quieter than the bladed fan & takes up far less space… This is fab for £39!”
She later clarified: “EDIT this is a fan! It does not have the ability to heat or cool.
“If you want cooling & have the money you should get a Dyson or aircon. This simply uses airflow like a bladed fan to create cooling – the science is the same.”
Even so, thousands of savvy shoppers seem to agree it’s a game-changer for the summer months, especially for those who don’t want to fork out hundreds on big-name brands.
One shopper commented: “Seeing all these great fans in different places, even Lidl, now feeling very silly for purchasing Dyson for £350 last summer.”
Another said: “I bought one –it works great.”
The Blaupunkt Bladeless Standing Fan comes fully assembled and ready to go, with three speed settings, an oscillation function for even air distribution, and a timer of up to 7.5 hours.
It’s fitted with digital touch control or can be operated by remote, and the bladeless design makes it safer for homes with pets or kids – plus much easier to clean.
B&M describes it as “the perfect cooling solution for the home”, and with temperatures starting to climb across the UK, it’s easy to see why demand has surged.
The fan is only available in-store, and stock is limited.
Some stores may sell out faster than others, so it’s worth giving your local branch a call before making a trip – you can find store details using B&M’s online store finder.
How to compare prices to get the best deal
JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

- Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.
- CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.
And while B&M doesn’t offer home delivery, fans say the trip is worth it to grab this steal of a deal.
It’s just the latest example of budget retailers launching affordable alternatives to premium-priced home gadgets – and shoppers are loving it.
So if you’re in the market for a stylish and quiet fan that won’t blow your budget, B&M’s Dyson dupe might just be the cool solution you’re looking for – but you’ll need to move fast before they’re gone.
How to save money at B&M
The best time to get cut-price products is 10am on a Wednesday, according to one ex B&M manager.
This is when staff slash items to as little as 10p to clear excess stock and make way for new products.
Deals expert Tom Church said to keep an eye out for red sticker products as well.
These are added to special buy products that have been reduced in price.
It’s worth signing up to Facebook pages dedicated to hunting for bargains from B&M and other discounters too.

When buying online, always do a search for money off codes or vouchers that you can use vouchercodes.co.uk and myvouchercodes.co.uk are just two sites that round up promotions by retailer.
Scanner apps are useful to have on your phone. Trolley.co.uk app has a scanner that you can use to compare prices on branded items when out shopping.
Bargain hunters can also use B&M’s scanner in the app to find discounts in-store before staff have marked them out.
And always check if you can get cashback before paying which in effect means you’ll get some of your money back or a discount on the item.
