I’M a Celebrity fans have noted how ITV bosses cut down on advert breaks for the show’s live final last night, in a bid to build momentum.
Eagle-eyed viewers were quick to realise that there was no advert breaks before the last Bushtucker Trial last night, where finalists Coleen Rooney, Reverend Richard Coles and Danny Jones battled to be crowned jungle royalty.
Venting their thoughts on social media, a slew of fans praised the show bosses for cutting down on the ad breaks, which have a way of diffusing drama.
One person quipped with a gif of host Declan Donnelly running over the I’m a Celeb bridge, “A trial without an ad break before it. We wonnnn.”
Meanwhile another person added: “Is this this the longest that I’m a Celeb has gone without an ad break?”
And another viewer commented: “ITV didn’t cut to an ad break the second the trial was about to start, why didn’t they keep the energy up for the whole series?”
Indeed another person also noticed the peaceful vibe of the series. They said:
“This series has been so wholesome, from the look of things the general public has liked it. Just goes to show that bad vibes and drama doesn’t always make good telly.”
Meanwhile last night McFly’s Danny Jones fought back tears as he was crowned I’m A Celebrity’s King of the jungle.
He said: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I gave my all in there, I gave myself. It’s a lovely feeling to be liked.
I hope it comes across on TV, but its real in there. You’re hungry, you’re tired, you’re lethargic. It’s insane, I’ve learned so much about myself.”
Beating fellow finalists Reverand Richard Coles and Coleen Rooney who finished in third and second place respectively, singer and guitarist Danny reunited with wife Georiga and six year old son Cooper as he crossed the jungle bridge last night.
Speaking about his win, a source at ITV said: “Danny is the embodiment of everything ITV loves. He’s fun, family friendly and incredibly popular.”
The 38-year-old is already a judge on The Voice UK, alongside his McFLy bandmate, Tom Fletcher and now TV bosses are reportedly keen for him to front more shows.
The pop star touched the hearts of the viewers in the jungle with his relatable struggles, speaking about his estrangement from his dad Alan, whom he’s not seen since he left his mother Cathy eighteen years ago.
He said: ““He doesn’t speak to me. I just don’t think I’ve really… healed with it, maybe. I had a good relationship with my dad. He was my best mate until he left.”
The star also opened up about his struggles with anxiety and depression, after experiencing his first panic attack aged 19.
Meanwhile insiders have confimed that WAG Coleen is poised to sign a new TV deal worth 1 million upon leaving the jungle.
Indeed her mother Colette revealed that her daughter had asked her “have I been boring.” To which her devoted mother replied: ““It broke my heart hearing that, but I said, ‘No, you’ve been yourself — and that’s all that matters’.”
After making the final three, the mum-of-four broke down in tears as she revealed that she rarely prioritizes herself. She said:
“It’s very rare I’m proud of myself, so it means a lot. It’s very rare that I put myself first. So, yeah, these are happy tears.”
On the subject of her upcoming big money TV deal, a source told The Sun: “Coleen’s return to public life following the Wagatha Christie trial was carefully orchestrated — and it has more than paid off.
“When she was in the jungle, she was being touted as ITV’s next Holly Willoughby and the offers have already started flooding in.
“But there is one deal on the table that has really piqued her team’s interest.
“Given Coleen’s love of the Loose Women show too, the team want her secured on their guest roster, with a view to finding something more permanent for her.
“It isn’t just TV deals — lifestyle and nutritional brands have all been sending lucrative contracts her way, as well as high street retailers. They all want a piece of Coleen. The sky’s the limit.”
A former supermarket worker has revealed how he spends just £50 for Christmas Day – including food, decorations, table crackers and soft drinks.
And he’s shared three key tips so you can bag a bargain, too.
Alasdair Baker has previously made headlines after living on yellow sticker bargains and spending just £3 a day on food for his family-of-four.
For Christmas, the dad-of-two from Aldershot, Hampshire, secures most of his best deals weeks or months before the big day.
But not to worry, as he says there’s still plenty of time to get a good deal.
“I easily pay half of what I’d otherwise expect to pay for Christmas dinner,” the budgeting pro, who used to work at Morrisons, told What’s The Jam.
“I’ve spent £50 on all the food, new decorations, table crackers and even soft drinks.
“I already have all of the Christmas dinner sides in the freezer, ready to reheat on the day.
“I always look for yellow stickers for the bigger items, like the turkey, and if not then I’ll look at frozen options.
“It’s easy to find cheap veg for 15p.
“I can normally make more than enough vegetable sides for under £1.
“I make Yorkshire puddings too as they are so cheap to make – and they’re filling and take up a lot of room on a plate and so people then feel they got a big plate of food and are content, even though a part of that plate is Yorkshire pudding.”
Alasdair has been making batches of Yorkshires two or three times and popped them in the freezer for the big day.
He’s also cooked and frozen his own pigs-in-blankets, made from bacon and sausages both as yellow sticker items in October.
The dad also has some frozen bread sauce and stuffing, “kept back from previous roast dinners”.
Alasdair, who is dad to daughter Heather, 22, and son George, seven, makes his own desserts to save cash, too.
TIPS ON HOW TO BAG A BARGAIN FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Having worked at Morrison’s from 2020 until recently, Alasdair has some choice advice for anyone looking to sniff out a bargain.
First, he recommends going late in the evening before the store closes to get the biggest reduction with some items up to 90% off.
One Christmas, he secured a yellow sticker turkey priced at £8 down from £60 in M&S.
But, having already bought meat for his dinner, he stored it in the freezer for an entire year to eat the following Christmas instead.
He said: “Most supermarkets will discount a product twice – once in the morning, at between 10% and 25% off, and then again in the evening.”
He also says to look above and below the eye-level shelves, where cheaper alternatives are often placed.
He said: “Supermarkets are a bit crafty, and you will generally find that products on the shelf, at eye level, are generally the higher-margin products that the supermarkets want you to buy.
“You will find that if you look down a few shelves, you will find similar products, only cheaper.
“They may not be the big brands, but generally of a decent enough quality, and every penny not spent is a penny saved.”
But for Christmas, the super saver says it’s more important than ever not to overdo it or go crazy with the deals.
Alasdair added: “It’s so important not to get yourself into unmanageable debt at Christmas.
“It might be the most wonderful time of the year, but it’s also notoriously expensive.
“My plan is not to be a skinflint, even though it comes across that way.
“It’s more of a case of only spending when I have to – after all, why spend your hard-earned money when there are ways to reduce your spend?”

Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you’re not forking out more than you should though.
Buy in Boxing Day sales – some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.
Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.
Shop via outlet stores – you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.
They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.
DANILA Mensch is the wife of the late Tyler Perry Studios president Steve Mensch.
Steve passed away on December 6, 2024, after a shocking plane crash in Florida.
Not much is known about Danila, before her marriage to the president of Tyler Perry Studios Steve Mensch.
The couple shared three children together, though they have kept much of their family life private.
Sadly, Steve passed away on December 6, 2024, after deciding to fly a small-engine fixed-wing aircraft in Florida.
Steve loved flying and was known to practice in his free time.
However, on that day, the plane crashed and was found near the intersection of Highway 19 and Longfellow Street in Homosassa, Florida.
Tyler Perry Studios took to social media to express their sadness at Danila’s husband’s death.
They said: “We are incredibly saddened by the passing of our dear friend, Steve Mensch.
“Steve was a cherished member of our team for more than 8 years, and well beloved in the community of Atlanta.”
They continued: “It is hard to imagine not seeing him smiling throughout the halls.
“We will miss him dearly.

“It’s absolutely carnage.
