Danny Jones reveals I’m A Celebrity jungle incident that left the campmates terrified

I’M A Celebrity champion Danny Jones has revealed the moment that left the campmates terrified that was never seen on TV.

The McFly star became the second member of the band to be crowned King of the Jungle when he won the ITV reality show last night.

He followed in the footsteps of Dougie Poynter who scooped the title back in 2011.

Now, Danny has shared the moment during the programme that forced the stars to flee and seek refuge in the Bush Telegraph.

As a result of the disaster weather conditions in Oz that saw buckets of rain pelt the camp, all 12 stars were forced to make a run for it out of camp.

Speaking after his win, Danny discussed the terryfying incident that saw all of them holed up in the confined space.

He said: “It was one of the hardest nights, we were all quite cramped and I think there were still 12 of us then as well, all boiling-hot in close proximity.”

He further added to the Mirror that as a result of the excessive rain, the campmates also found themselves joined by LEECHES which further added to their misery.

The Voice UK coach continued to the publication: “The rain also meant the leeches were searching for you and I was literally on leech check every day.”

Danny’s victory comes 13 years after pal Dougie became the first of the McFly boys to brave the camp.

The star revealed the pair had an emotional catch-up as Danny made his way to the hotel after leaving the camp.

He said: “[Dougie] said to me something that I would never have thought would come out of his mouth.

He went, ‘mate, I’m so proud of my best mate, and every time I watched you, I just had tears in my eyes.”

Danny beat Coleen Rooney to be crowned the winner of the contest after lasting 23 days in the Aussie camp.

Voting percentages for the final revealed that Danny won with 55.21 per cent of the vote, while runner-up Coleen scored 44.79 per cent.

The musician is said to be in talks for massive new TV roles following his success in the jungle.

He is already a judge on The Voice UK, alongside his bandmate Tom Fletcher, but insiders said telly bosses are keen to sign him up for more shows.

ITV bosses are keen to secure Danny long-term as one of its main players, alongside family favourites including Joel Dommett and Bradley Walsh.

Strictly fans work out ‘real reason’ Tasha landed in the dance off this weekend – and it’s NOT her performance

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans are convinced they have sussed out why Tasha Ghouri has landed in the dance off for two weeks running.

Tasha and her professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec found themselves going head-to-head this weekend with Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał.

Strictly fans have pointed the finger at Tasha’s Love Island intro video[/caption]

Although Tasha and Aljaz were saved by the judges on the BBC show, this was the second time the pair have ended up there.

Despite scoring an incredible eighteen 10s this series, Tasha and Aljaz also found themselves fighting to stay in the competition the week before.

Again, the judges voted to save them and send Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe home.

Fans are now certain they know why the pair keep receiving the least public votes despite their impressive leaderboard scores.

Discussing it online, viewers believe it harks back to Tasha’s admission on her Love Island introduction tape.

Tasha found fame on the 2022 series of Love Island and was more than happy to confirm her profession as a “model and dancer”.

She said: “My name is Tasha Ghouri, I’m 23 and I’m originally from North Yorkshire.

“I’m a model and a dancer.”

Tasha, who trained at the Creative Academy in Berkshire, continued: “You’ll definitely find me on the dance floor on a night out, I’ll be grooving, having fun with the girls.”

Writing on Reddit, one fan said: “Am I the only one that understands why Tasha keeps getting in the dance off?

“I know not everyone watches Love Island, but she quite literally says in her intro clip ‘I’m a model and a dancer’… her profession is a DANCER, she’s a professional?

“I do like her, I think she’s lovely and she is amazing at dancing, but i don’t think it’s fair and i don’t think she deserves to win.”

The poster continued: “I know Tasha isn’t ballroom or latin trained, but she is a professional dancer she knows how it works and she knows how to dance well with a partner, there has been no progress since week one.

“It’s the journey and improvement that i think is deserving of a win.”

Replying, someone else said: “I think a musician having some understanding of rhythm is kind of different than someone who is literally a professional dancer, like that’s literally what she said her job is on love island.”

Strictly Come Dancing: Semi-final results

The judges scores were:

JB and Lauren: 79

Tasha and Aljaz: 75

Sarah and Vito: 72

Chris and Dianne: 69

Pete and Jowita: 65

Another added: “It’s a standard Strictly trope. The best dancer, usually with a background in dance, loses out to the plucky trier with the big personality because that’s who the audience see themselves in.”

A third said: “No, I feel the same way. She’s a fantastic dancer and has been consistently brilliant throughout. I prefer to support someone who has been on a bit more of a journey.

“It just makes it more meaningful somehow, and that’s what sways my vote, rightly or wrongly. I have enjoyed her dancing, especially her routine on musicals week.”

Someone else simply said: “She’s too good to win!”

Tasha and Aljaz will be competing in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing final alongside Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley, and Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell.

The show will be a bumper two-and-a-half hours in length and will see the 2024 celebrities return for one last routine.

Singer Raye will also be joined by the professional dancers for a show-stopping performance.

Watch moment Syria’s largest Assad statue is toppled & smashed to bits as celebrating rebels fire AK-47s into the air

THIS is the dramatic moment the largest statue of the Assad family is ruthlessly toppled over and smashed into pieces by Syrian rebels.

A giant monument honouring former president Hafez al-Assad – the dad of overthrown dictator Bashar al-Assad – was dragged to the ground today as hundreds celebrated.

Rebels fired countless rounds of AK-47 gunfire into the air and jumped on the downed statue as they continue to rejoice over the fall of the Assad regime.

Shocking footage shows the moment the huge Hafez was being hacked away at by rebels in an excavator.

They can be seen piercing through the heavy statue’s left leg before a final blow leaves it plunging backwards.

It crashes onto the concrete platform below and splits into thousands of pieces upon impact.

A cloud of dust then fills the air of Deir Atiyah – just north of Damascus.

People could be heard singing “raise your head, you are a free Syrian”, as they danced around the dust.

It is the latest in a line of towering Syrian statues depicting the Assad family to be torn down by rebels.

A week ago the Islamist rebels toppled a statue of Bashar al-Assad‘s late brother in a chilling allusion to the fall of Saddam Hussein’s regime.

Video showed crowds around the Bassel al-Assad statue in Aleppo’s Basel Square before tearing down the former heir to Syria‘s presidency from his horse.

Syria is reeling from a seismic shift in power after rebels overthrew Bashar al-Assad’s 24-year regime, forcing the dictator to flee to Moscow.

The collapse of Assad’s rule has sparked celebrations across the country but also unleashed chaos, with fears of humanitarian disasters and security threats.

One of the most immediate crises centres on Sednaya Military Prison, notorious for its brutal conditions and dubbed a “human slaughterhouse” by rights groups.

Rebels stormed the prison, freeing thousands of detainees, many of whom had been unlawfully held and subjected to torture, starvation, and overcrowding.

Shocking footage shows freed prisoners recounting years of abuse, including being crammed into cells with over 25 others and stripped of their identities.

Despite the mass release, an estimated 100,000 prisoners remain trapped in underground cells sealed behind electronically locked doors.

Emergency crews, led by the Syrian civil defence group White Helmets, are racing against time to break into the hidden chambers amid fears that detainees could suffocate due to poor ventilation.

Teams are drilling through concrete walls and floors, while the White Helmets have offered a $3,000 reward for information leading to the discovery of survivors.

Meanwhile, fears of chemical weapons falling into the wrong hands are escalating.

Assad’s regime, despite agreeing in 2013 to dismantle its chemical arsenal, is believed to have retained stockpiles.

With the regime’s collapse, concerns have mounted that extremist groups could seize these weapons and orchestrate attacks.

In response, US and Israeli airstrikes have targeted suspected chemical weapon depots across Syria.

In Damascus, the fall of Assad has triggered both symbolic and practical shifts.

Rebel forces declared the capital “free of Assad” after a swift offensive and were seen looting the presidential palace, toppling statues of Assad and his father, Hafez, and waving rebel flags in celebration.

Bashar Al-Assad's downfall

THE end of Assad’s reign came abruptly this month as rebel forces launched a lightning offensive, exploiting weakened Syrian defences.

Rebels captured Damascus in a lightning campaign, declaring the capital “free” and marking the end of years of brutal authoritarian rule.

With Russia mired in Ukraine and Iran preoccupied with regional conflicts, Assad’s regime was left vulnerable.

Rebels stormed Aleppo, marking a symbolic victory, and Assad fled Damascus.

Assad left aboard a military plane amid rumours of its crash before resurfacing in Moscow, where Vladimir Putin granted him asylum.

It comes as an apparent Russian conspiracy to distribute false news about an al-Assad ‘aircraft accident’ has been exposed.

The Ukrainian Centre for Strategic Communication and Information Security claimed on X that Russia “hid their trail” in assisting al-Assad’s escape by circulating fake claims that he died in a crash.

Meanwhile, opposition forces took control of key cities, toppled Assad’s statues, and announced plans for a transitional government.

The fall of Assad deals a blow to allies Russia and Iran, with both withdrawing assets from Syria.

Challenges remain as Syrians celebrate, but hopes rise for a democratic future after years of war.

His fall not only signals the collapse of a dynastic dictatorship but also underscores the cost of clinging to power through terror.

Bashar al-Assad has left behind a shattered nation.

He decimated Syria’s infrastructure, fractured its society, and plunged millions into despair.

Syria became synonymous with human suffering, and Assad’s name will forever be tied to some of the worst war crimes of the modern era.

The man once seen as a modernising reformer will be remembered instead as a symbol of unchecked brutality, his legacy written in the blood of his own people.

Beau Greaves tells PDC to change ‘stupid’ rule after winning hat-trick of women’s world darts titles

BEAU GREAVES wants the PDC to scrap its “stupid” one world championship rule.

The Doncaster thrower made it a hat-trick of WDF women’s world titles on Sunday night when she thumped Sophie McKinlay 4-1 in the final.

Yet those involved at the Frimley Green event are not allowed to qualify for the PDC World Darts Championship, which starts on Sunday and is open for both sexes to enter.

Poster-girl Greaves – the best female player in the world – will not be involved at Ally Pally this Christmas having decided to defend her Lakeside crown.

Greaves, 20, plays in the PDC Women’s Series and the World Matchplay in Blackpool but now wants a separate ladies-only World Champs.

It did happen once back on the PDC circuit in 2010 when American Stacy Bromberg was victorious.

Beau ‘n’ Arrow said: “I love WDF darts. It’s the only tour that gives you a world championship for women.

“The PDC is great. But it doesn’t have a world championship. It has a World Matchplay. That isn’t good enough.

“The PDC has to have a world championship to justify having a Tour for the ladies. The Women’s Series is great and the money is good.

“At the same time, we want more for it. The ruling about not being able to play both is stupid.

California-based designer Steve Kozloff outlined the remarkable concept that would allow explorers the chance to take in the panoramic views of the deep waters.

The sub’s unique glass dome gives people an opportunity to see cinematic sights underwater.

Travellers will be able to experience vistas they have likely never seen before as the Deep Sea Dreamer can descend depths of up to 328 feet.

A silent electric motor would also allow people to travel up to 100 miles without disturbing sea life.

The sub’s top floor can transform into an exterior deck, when above water, turning the vessel into a superyacht.

The luxury interior extends across nearly 1,500 square feet, making it a fairly spacious vessel.

This remarkable yacht slash submarine would be made entirely of sturdy steel.

The Deep Sea Dreamer was designed for longer expeditions.

This vessel would be able to travel for extended periods by cruising just below water.

The designer revealed that this position would offer travellers smooth sailing conditions with good speeds.

People looking for good deep sea exploration would be in luck as this sub would also be able to sit on the ocean floor for up to a week, thanks to onboard batteries.

The incredible travel experience would double as a luxury expedition due to the opulent interiors.

Designs show the sub would be fitted with luxe cabins and special extras.

These include a grand piano, plush recliners looking out onto the ocean, and a glass floor that allows passengers to watch marine life swim below them.

A dining room with space for a fully-equipped kitchen would let travellers to cook on longer voyages.

The lavish vessel is also complete with private cabins to help give explorers a comfortable night sleep.

Designs have also included important extras like laundry facilities.

Kozloff explained that his wife Terry helped inspire his plans, as he wanted to create a vessel to explore the underwater world with her.
