Our nightmare neighbours’ ugly caravan has blocked our pavement for FOUR months… the whole street hates them

FURIOUS residents say their pavement has been blocked for four months because of their nightmare neighbours’ ugly caravan.

Stunned householders first noticed the 13ft long caravan when it appeared outside a semi-detached home on their street in Bolton.

It was too large to fit in the garden and was left sticking out over a pavement.

After complaints, a fence was cut down and the caravan was moved to lie alongside the front of the 1930s property – taking up nearly all of the 19ft wide garden.

But nearby residents are still unhappy with the placement of the caravan and think that it’s a “disgrace.”

One neighbour, who wishes to be anonymous, said: “When it was here and parked on the pavement, nobody could get past it.

“They had to walk in the road and it was a disgrace.

“It turned up one night and I couldn’t believe it as people are living in it – there were lights on inside it.

“As far I’m aware, the caravan should not be here at all on this estate.”

The neighbour says the property is owned by Bolton at Home, who manage over 18,000 properties in the area.

They said caravans shouldn’t be allowed as only privately owned properties are allowed them outside their houses.

They said: “They’ve cut the fencing down to fit it in the garden and I don’t know how the postman can go and deliver their mail because the caravan is in the way.

“It shouldn’t be here as it’s a Bolton at Home property.

“There’s only caravans on this road, which are outside private properties.”

Another neighbour, who also wished to be anonymous, said this was the “first time they have had issues” with the property as the “gentleman who lived there before was quiet”.

They said that “all the street is unhappy” with the caravan and the tenants are “not long moved in” having been there for about four or five months.

The neighbour said: “The residents are not happy.”

The owner of the property where the caravan is placed said that it was to accommodate their son, but added: “We don’t want to talk about it.”

A Bolton at Home spokesperson said: “We are aware of the caravan parked outside one of our properties.

“We are in contact with our customer and are working with them to ensure it is removed as swiftly as possible.”

This comes after a woman claimed her neighbours used her address to claim benefits as well as a phone contract and bank account.

“I found this out when I started getting all the debt collection letters,” she explained.

But the long list of problems wasn’t over – she accused them of fly-tipping, swearing at her and throwing bin bags into the street.

“This winter they must have had a blocked drainage pipe which they then tampered with and all their bath water was running out into my yard,” she added.

Coronation Street fans baffled as plot is completely forgotten – but they make eerie prediction for Craig Tinker’s exit

CORONATION Street fans have been left baffled by a major storyline which has been FORGOTTEN despite it causing one character to leave.

Fans of the ITV soap opera will remember how Beth Tinker made a hasty exit last summer after clashing with Kit Green.

Beth discovered that Kit was a bent copper[/caption]

Beth was forced to flee from Coronation Street after a showdown with her son Craig’s boss Kit Green.

The factory worker had discovered Kit’s dodgy policeman ways and had threatened to expose him if he didn’t cut her back in on the back street clothes selling deal they had both wound up in.

In response, Kit got Craig drunk and encouraged him to spill his secrets on his criminal activities.

He then used this information threaten Beth that her son’s career would be over if she ever released the video she had of Kit engaging with the clothes-selling crook.

However, fans have now questioned why the plot has seemingly been abandoned with Kit no longer appearing to be associated with the dodgy clothes dealings as well as why Kit having the incriminating evidence of Craig has never been brought up again.

Commenting on the forgotten plot, one fan wrote on Reddit: “5 months in and nothing has been suspected. Just like all of that smug t***’s secrets, this one is safely secure.”

As another added: “Craig couldn’t find the ground if he fell out of a plane.”

However, others think they may have figured out when the bombshell will finally be dropped ahead of Craig Tinker’s impending exit.

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that actor Colson Smith had been axed from his role as the police officer and would be leaving Weatherfield for good later this year.

It has led some fans to think this could now be a part of his exit with Kit finally revealing to him why his mother was force to flee the cobbles.

A Corrie viewer predicted: “I suspect that may be coming soon.”

Colson confirmed that he was told he would be written out of the show after being told of the news in Autumn 2024.

The actor wrote on Instagram: “Autumn last year I was told that Craig Tinker’s time on the Cobbles is to come to end in 2025.

“I’ve loved every single second of my 14 year stay as a resident on the greatest street in the world. I feel incredibly lucky to have grown up in, on and around Coronation Street.

“I’ve learned pretty much everything about life from the people who call it home.

“I’m excited to play out the exit story for our Craigy. For me, this is the end of the beginning.

“I genuinely can’t wait to see what chapter two has in store for me.”

Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025

ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap.

This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama.

Colson Smith – Craig Tinker

The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig’s on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress Lisa George was written out from the role.

Sue Cleaver – Eileen Grimshaw

After 25 years playing Eileen Grimshaw, former I’m A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver will quit the show. The Sun on Sunday reported in January that she’s already begun to film her exit scenes. However the character will not be killed off in case Sue opts to make a return in the future.

Luca Toolan – Mason Radcliffe

Bosses decided to axe the teenage character after just 16 months after he first joined the show. Recent scenes saw Mason stabbed by his criminal brothers after his pal Dylan brought a knife in an attempt to defend him.

Sue Devaney – Debbie Webster

In November 2024, we revealed that Debbie Webster is set to be killed off after 40 years on the cobbles. The character will die as part of a heartbreaking long-running dementia storyline.

Charlotte Jordan – Daisy Midgeley

The actress became the fifth star to leave Coronation Street in just one month. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she’s hungry to see what other opportunities await.

Shelley King – Yasmeen Metcalfe

The actress has played Yasmeen Metcalfe on the cobbles for the past 11 years and we revealed in January that she finished filming her final scenes. This follows the departure of her on-screen partner Stu Carpenter.

KGB spooks, mob ties & a strange call to UK newspaper…could Trump’s release of ‘FINAL 3%’ of JFK files reveal the truth?

NEW glimpses into John F Kennedy’s assassination could be revealed as the final sealed files on his death are set to be declassified.

Fascination surrounding that fateful day more than 60 years ago remains as great as ever as wannabe sleuths hope to find out the full truth.

Only a few thousand of the millions of government records have yet to be fully released – but could shed more light on what happened on November 22, 1963.

Just days after his inauguration, Donald Trump ordered the final documents be released, saying it is in the interest of the American people.

JFK was shot in the head and neck by Lee Harvey Oswald, 24, whilst travelling in an open-top car parade in Dallas, Texas.

But conspiracy theories about his assassination from mob hits to CIA plots have remained rife as the public guess at what might be contained in the secret files.

Sensational details were revealed in 2017 when a tranche of documents were revealed – including Oswald’s meeting with a KGB agent and a mystery phone call to a British newspaper.

Experts have warned the drop of the final documents will likely not contain any earth-shattering revelations that would change the accepted version of events.

But they may still reveal fresh details surrounding JFK’s assassination and the circumstances around it.

Larry J. Sabato, author of The Kennedy Half-Century, told NBC: “There’s always the possibility that something would slip through that would be the tiny tip of a much larger iceberg that would be revealing.

“That’s what researchers look for. Now, odds are you won’t find that but it is possible that it’s there.”

It is understood just three per cent of records surrounding the assassination remain shielded from the public.

But the fact up to 4,000 documents remain partly or completely redacted has further fuelled speculation that US Government agencies are involved in a cover-up.

Officials have argued they have been kept back because they contain details of people who are still alive or have information and locations of intelligence offices.

Some documents in the collection may never be released, including tax returns that weren’t subject to the 2017 disclosure requirement.

Other files have been destroyed over the decades.

The files released in 2017 told of Oswald’s meeting with a KGB agent responsible for assassinations two months before JFK was killed.

One bombshell document said that the FBI knew about the meeting between Oswald and the KGB spy.

The files also revealed how a reporter at Cambridge News told cops he received a chilling call just 25 minutes before Kennedy was shot.

Documents told how the caller told the reporter to call the American Embassy in London for “some big news” before hanging up.

Gerald Posner, who wrote Case Closed about JFK’s death, believes the remaining documents could reveal information about mafia and CIA plots against Fidel Castro.

Oswald – who had developed a strong attachment to Cuba and its president – visited the Cuban embassy in Mexico City just weeks before shooting JFK dead.

He wanted to get a visa to immigrate to Cuba, but was frustrated when he couldn’t get one straight away.

Mr Posner told NBC: “There are some files that are still sealed about the mafia and CIA plots against Fidel Castro – and I’d like to know more about that.

“There’s a document in there on Mexican intelligence – information was gathered on Oswald when he visited Mexico City only six weeks before the assassination.

“And it might disclose the extent to which the CIA knew how unbalanced Oswald was and they didn’t tell the FBI.

“So there could be some embarrassing things in here, it’ll be interesting for history.

“But I don’t think there will be a smoking gun document that will turn the case on its head and say here’s who killed Kennedy, it was really part of the secret government and here are the people involved.

“That’s not going to happen.”

Mr Posner has dismissed claims there could have been a second shooter – but said questions remain over Oswald’s motives.

He said: “There no question at all that Oswald was the assassin that day.

“So the only question is did he do it for himself or did he do it as part of a plot. That’s always the toughest question.

JFK's assassination explained

JFK was assassinated in Dallas on November 22, 1963 as he travelled in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza.

Three shots were fired, two of which hit him in the neck and head.

Half an hour after the shots were fired, the 35th president of the United States was pronounced dead.

Oswald, a 24-year-old self-proclaimed Marxist, was soon arrested in a nearby cinema after police hunted the killer of one of their fellow officers.

He denied shooting anybody, claiming to reporters that he was a “patsy”.

Later he was accused of shooting the president dead with his $21 mail-order rifle from a window of the sixth floor of a nearby school textbook warehouse.

Two days after the assassination and his arrest, Oswald was being escorted from Dallas Police Headquarters to county prison.

As he was taken out in front of the world’s media, Jack Ruby stepped forward and shot him dead.

Ruby was later found guilty of murder.

The Warren Commission in 1964 reported that Oswald had been the lone gunman, and another congressional probe in 1979 found no evidence to support the theory that the CIA had been involved.

But some say this was a cover-up.

Conspiracy theories include a CIA plot, a mafia-hit job, and a covert operation by Vice President Lyndon Johnson.

“I’ve looked a those connections to see did he do it for the CIA, did he do it for the Russians, did he do it to impress Castro because he wanted to get to Cuba – there are all of those possibilities.

“But in the end, what’s missing is proof and evidence. And it’s not going to be sitting there in a file that’s been sitting in the National Archives for all of these decades.”

Speculation about the role of the mob remains rampant and amateur sleuths hope documents will reveal more.

Some armchair detectives have claimed the FBI and Lyndon Johnson – who succeeded JFK as president – covered up the mob’s involvement in the assassination.

Others have suggested high-level government officials were involved in the plot to kill JFK.

Oswald, a self-proclaimed Marxist, was accused of shooting JFK from the window of the sixth floor of a nearby school textbook warehouse.

He was shot dead by local club owner Jack Ruby in the Dallas police station.

Ruby – who had connections to the mob in the 1940s – claimed he had simply acted out of grief and denied any involvement in a conspiracy.

Explosive JFK files released in 2017 revealed Oswald and his killer Ruby met in the weeks before JFK was assassinated.

The pair were seen together at Florida’s Key West airport in 1963 and were overheard speaking in code about “Big Bird”, according to the documents.

Whether soon to be released documents will reveal any more details is unclear – but could trigger fresh conspiracy theories, and fuel well-known ones.

‘Kind’ schoolboy, 12, was ‘minutes from safety’ when he was stabbed to death – as parents share heartbreaking pictures

The 12-year-old was found with a stab wound to the stomach on the banks of the River Cole in Hall Green, Birmingham, on January 21.

The young boy was said to be ‘minutes from safety’ as he was attacked[/caption] Map showing the route a 12-year-old boy walked home from school before he was stabbed to death.

Ishtiaq Shah, whose partner Janet was the boys legal guardian, paid a heartbreaking tribute.

Today he said the family had “another difficult and haunting night” as they came to terms with Leo‘s death.

Leo was remembered as a “kind, bright and talented boy” and images of the child were shared online.

Heartbreaking photos show Leo celebrating a birthday, in his school uniform and enjoying a pedalo ride.

Ishtiaq said: “We desperately want Leo to come home from school, he was just minutes away from safety, but we know he never will.

“He was a big brother to our two young children, so patient and loving to them.

“They were/are obsessed with him and will miss him.”

Ishtiaq launched a fundraising campaign to raise money for the Daniel Baird Foundation, an anti-knife charity.

He added: “It was lovely to see the notifications received during the night of how many more of you that have donated.

“We are extremely grateful that you share our determination to prevent this from happening again.

“If we can help deter one child from carrying a knife, if we can train one person, if we can stop one bleed and save one person from such a fatality, we will feel our little genius Leo made that happen, his death will have saved a life.”

Almost £6,000 has been raised for the charity, which provides products to help stem bleeding from stab wounds.

On the day of Leo’s murder, officers responded to calls from an area near Scribers Lane in Hall Green at around 3.15pm.

Leo was understood to have been walking home from school when he was attacked.

Paramedics rushed the youngster to hospital where he was tragically pronounced dead a short while later.

Cops were seen searching a home in connection with Leo’s murder in Birmingham’s Hall Green neighbourhood.

Officers investigating Leo’s death revealed have been granted extra time to question a 14-year-old boy, who was arrested on the night of January 21.

Leo attended Christ Church C of E Secondary Academy where pals said he was “adored” and always a “hard worker”.

Horrified parents have been briefed by teachers that the murder suspect was not a pupil.

Across the road from the school a bright graffiti artwork was left spelling out “Leo” in memory of the lad.

It added: “Drop a knife, save a life.”

Officers investigating the death were seen searching grass verges for evidence on January 23.

West Midlands Police officers were seen examining shrubbery along Scribers Lane with wooden sticks.

Meanwhile officers began a thorough search of the nearby Shire Country Park.

A woman laying flowers described the attack, which saw Leo knifed in the stomach, said: “It’s awful, tragic really.

“I think it’s an area where there can be issues but nothing like this. It’s a quiet area.

“It’s just happening time and time again. They need to do something.

“I think this Starmer rubbish about stopping anyone going on Amazon and buying a knife, anyone can get hold of a knife. It’s not about that.

“My son is 16 now and the thought of him going into Birmingham, is just not on. It’s getting worse than London.”

Meanwhile a tearful grandmother said: “It’s just heartbreaking. My grandson goes to the same school.

“It’s just heartbreaking that a parent can send their child to school in the morning, it could be any of our children or grandchildren, and then they not come back.

“There’s a child, a life to live, that’s wasted. I was at work and saw the helicopter.

“They’re doing a memorial mass and Yardley Wood social have said that they’re going to have something going where they’re collecting money for the little boys family.

“It’s a lovely cut through to get home quick, but it’s not always safe.

“You should know what your child is doing.”

One note left at the scene by a friend of Leo’s read: “Thanks for being a great friend to me. I’ll miss you forever. Love Jack P.”

While another friend wrote: “To Leo, I’m really upset this happened to you and you haven’t gotten to live your life.

“I’ll always remember you from primary and secondary and I’m grateful that I got to speak to you for the last time only shortly before the boy took your life.

“I really hope your little sister is ok because you was the most important person in her life and you should never have gotten hurt and killed without any reason.

“We will always miss you and remember you.

“Rest in peace Leo.”

It comes after multiple attacks on three pensioners that occurred on 19, 20 and 21 January shortly before Leo was targeted.

Cops continued to question a 14-year-old boy over the murder and previous assaults.

West Midlands Police said: “The victims of the assaults are aged in their 70s and 80s and we are asking for any information which could help in our enquiries.

“The suspect was initially arrested on suspicion of the January 19 assault and then while in custody he was arrested on suspicion of murder and then later the two further assaults.”

I was on track to becoming rugby league star… now I’m making my way in different sport mentored by British legend

HAIDER KHAN looked set for a career playing rugby league – now he is out to become MMA world champion with the help of a boxing legend.

Khan played semi-professional for Salford Red Devils’ academy and was on the brink of joining their professional ranks.

But by 18, he fell out of love with the sport he had played since five years old and instead found a new passion in martial arts.

Khan told SunSport: “I decided to stop playing rugby.

“I was in the Salford Academy, and I kind of just got bored of playing rugby, like I never loved the sport.

“I was just a good athlete and good at the sport. And I thought I’m gonna take up MMA and that’s pretty much what I did because my family was already into it.

“I thought this is a great opportunity, something that I enjoy watching, so I gave it a try.”

Khan walked away from the chance to play in the Super League – which is aired on Sky Sports.

He said: “At the time I was signed to the academy, so I was literally one step away from playing first team rugby on Sky Sports Super League.

“I was just in the academy for one of the teams, Salford Red Devils, at the time.

“But I just didn’t enjoy it as much as I did when I was younger, never loved the sport to that extent. I watched more football than I ever did watch rugby league.

“I was just good at the sport and I enjoyed playing it, but it wasn’t like an obsession like I have with martial arts.”

While Khan’s old team-mates and opponents made it in rugby league, he was just forging a career in MMA after being inspired by legends like Anderson Silva and Fedor Emelianenko.

And he has also been getting tips from British boxing icon Amir Khan – who is also of Pakistani descent.

Now the middleweight is 8-1 after making his pro debut in 2021 and signed to the Professional Fighters League.

Khan instead returns on Saturday in Dubai against Mostafa Abada Rashed Neda and boxing great Amir will be cageside to support.
