Keir Starmer WON’T change law that lets Southport killer avoid a life sentence – despite MPs demanding death penalty

SIR Keir Starmer won’t change a law stopping the Southport killer being slapped with a lifetime sentence, No10 confirmed yesterday.

Despite public outcry, a spokesperson for the PM said the issue is “not something we are looking at”.

Despite public outcry, a spokesperson for the PM said the issue is “not something we are looking at”[/caption]

It came as Cabinet Minister John Healey admitted that UN rules on the “rights of a child” are what prevented Axel Rudakabana from being locked up for life.

The foreign-imposed convention bans countries giving whole life sentences to under-18s.

Because Rudakabana was 17 at the time of his venomous attack, he was only passed a 52-year prison term.

Sir Keir Starmer and his Attorney General Lord Richard Hermer have previously sparked outrage for insisting they will always “respect” international law.

QUICK BUILD BID

The pair’s allegiance to foreign courts led to the abandonment of the Rwanda deportation plan for illegal migrants and the reversal of a block on compensation for former Sinn Feinn leader Gerry Adams.

A spokesperson for Sir Keir said: “I don’t want to see this man ever coming out of prison.

“As the judge stated, it’s likely he will never be released, and that he will be in prison for the rest of his life.

“I know that’s a view the country will endorse. This is understood to be one of the highest minimum terms in English legal history.

“We’re restricted in our ability to extend whole life orders to under-18s by UN laws.”

But earlier in the day Mr Healey suggested ministers want the foreign rules looked over.

He told Times Radio: “We owe it to those victims to consider and then deliver the changes that their memories deserve.”

Meanwhile, Tory Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick said that “there is a strong case here for amending the law to give clear judicial discretion to award whole life sentences to under 18s, which Conservatives will start to explore”.

Yesterday Downing Street also confirmed Sir Keir has no plans to reinstate the death penalty.

It came after Reform UK MPs Rupert Lowe and Lee Anderson called for the return of capital punishment in the wake of Southport.

Evil Southport killer sent to UK’s toughest jail Belmarsh & will face ‘lifetime of hell’ as ‘No1 target’ for attacks

SOUTHPORT killer Axel Rudakubana will face a lifetime of hell behind bars and will be the “number one” target for brutal attacks, a top prison officer has said.

The teen monster will spend at least 52 years in prison with a judge ruling that he is highly likely to never be released.

PA
Southport killer Axel Rudakubana was sentenced to at least 52 years in jail[/caption]

Yesterday he was sentenced to life in jail after he stabbed to death Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Dasilva Aguiar, nine, at a Taylor Swift dance class.

Mark Fairhurst, national chairman of the Prison Officers’ Association said Rudakubana would likely be held in isolation in a segregation unit for his own protection as he will be “target No.1” for other inmates.

He said the evil killer is currently being held at high-security Belmarsh Prison in Woolwich south east London where he had been on remand.

He is expected to remain there until he is assessed. He could either stay at the notorious jail or be sent to other Category A prisons across the country including Full Sutton in York or Frankland Prison in Durham.

Mr Fairhurst said Rudakubana would have the same rights as every other inmate and would be offered isolation.

He would be entitled to showers, phone calls home and exercise even in isolation.
Mr Fairhurst said: “if there was any intelligence he was at risk then he would be put in the segregation unit under isolation or to some other part of the prison where he is away from everyone else.”

He added: “His life will be absolute hell. He is target No.1.

“He’ll be looking over his shoulders for the next 52 years. Any chance they can get him they will.”

Notorious prisoners have been targeted by other lags in the past with inmates using improvised weapons to maim their victims.

Sara Sharif’s killer dad had his throat slashed while in the notorious jail despite being under close supervision by guards.

Two inmates ambushed Urfan Sharif, 43, in his cell and cut his neck with a jagged tuna can lid just weeks after he was sentenced.

The pair were sickened by his abuse of Sara, who was beaten, burned and bitten over two years before her death in August 2023.

Soham murderer Ian Huntley had his throat slashed with an improved knife while at high security Frankland Prison in County Durham in 2008.

Three years earlier he had been scolded with boiling water at Wakefield Prison while on the healthcare wing.

As he has just been sentenced to life imprisonment, Rudakubana will be on “suicide watch” with officers keeping a constant eye on him to ensure he does not hurt himself.

The teenage killer will also likely have three prison officers with him when he leaves his cell at all times to ensure he, and other prisoners, are kept safe.

Rudakubana admitted three counts of murder, ten of attempted murder, possession of a knife, production of a biological toxin — ricin — and having information that could be used for terrorism.

Mr Justice Goose said at Thursday’s sentencing hearing that it was highly unlikely that he would ever be released from prison.

The teenager will be 70 by the time that he can apply to leave jail, and even then it is incredibly unlikely he would be let out.

He could be transferred to aClose Supervision Centre (CSC) which are even more secure than regular segregation units.

If so, he would join the 44 criminals across seven high-security jails who are currently deemed too destructive to be kept in a standard wing.

The Sun previously revealed pictures from inside the prisons within prisons which have been described by inspectors as “bleak”.

Images show a treadmill within a thick white cage used by prisoners at HMP Wakefield who have to even exercise away from the rest of the lags.

Another shot shows a cramped single cell at HMP Frankland with the sink within reach of the bed, and a stack of books piled in front of a curtained off window.

Most of those locked up in the units are a high or very high risk to the public and have little prospect of ever being let out.

Some of those held in the units were last visited by friends or family members 10 or 15 years ago, according to the report seen by The Sun.

Mikel Arteta consulting Arsenal stars on which striker to sign as he desperately seeks firepower before deadline

MIKEL ARTETA is consulting his Arsenal stars on which striker to sign before the transfer window slams shut.

Arsenal are desperately looking for extra firepower in the January window with injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus leaving the North Londoners desperately short up top.

The Spaniard is consulting WITH his players over what type of forward to sign[/caption]

But with just over a week until the window shuts, Arteta appears no closer to bringing in a new face with key target Benjamin Sesko looking likely to remain at Red Bull Leipzig barring a hefty late bid.

The north Londoners have also been linked with moves for Alexander Isak, Dusan Vlahovic and Matheus Cunha.

Following Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Tottenham last week, Declan Rice said: “We’re a bit short [in attack]. I’m not surprised if we are going to do something.”

Asked if his players have spoken to him about new signings ahead of today’s [SAT] clash at Wolves, Arteta said: “Not like that, but we have all been there, we all look at each other.

“We have had very, very short numbers for many, many weeks and they recognise the situation, we all do.

“That’s why we are trying to do what is right for the club, the team, that’s our intention.”

Arteta says he “always” consults his players about potential incomings or specific individuals he is trying to bring to the club.

He added: “That’s getting us away from the computer and what the data is saying. It is real. I have seen it, I sense it.

“A player can score a lot of goals, great. How does this player react when he hasn’t scored for six or seven games?

“This is what I am interested in.

“Watch an interview with a player who hasn’t scored for six games, and then what kind of goals does he score?

“Against which teams in which context? Is it first half or second half?

“Is it only with his right foot, only headers, only in open spaces?

“Does he like the physical contact of this league?

“So when you have a player that has spent a lot of days with [a transfer target], that is really valuable information to have.”

Arteta has the backing of owners Stan and Josh Kroenke to do business this month.

But key decision-makers are taking into account the impact it could have on their summer plans and future targets, as well as how it will affect the make-up of the squad.

A domestic loan is off the table having already acquired back-up keeper Neto from Bournemouth and Raheem Sterling from Chelsea last summer on a season-long deal.

Neto is yet to make an appearance for the club – having been cup-tied for the Carabao Cup upon his arrival – but Arteta has quashed any suggestions of cancelling one of those loans to accommodate another.

Defenders Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko have been linked with moves away this month, the latter attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund, which could free up space and funds for a striker.

But Arteta said: “It’s about balance as well, depending which player it is [being sold].

“If that is a player that is going to give us space or if it is going to limit us again in a certain position.

“It all depends. The rules are quite tricky well.

“It’s not just what you bring and what you sell, it’s actually what resources do you have available after that.”

On a more positive note, Arteta could have defensive duo Myles Lewis-Skelly and William Saliba back for the trip to Molineux.

Left-back Lewis-Skelly missed the Champions League victory over Dinamo Zagreb with a jarred knee picked up in last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa – but scans have shown “nothing serious”.

Centre-back Saliba has been struggling with a hamstring strain that has also kept the Frenchman out of Arsenal’s last two outings – and could be rested for next weekend’s game against Manchester City.

Arteta said: “Whether it is too early or not [for them to face Wolves], we don’t know.

“They will definitely be in for next week. This week, let’s see how it goes.”

Right-back Ben White is also close to a return following knee surgery in November, preparing to train with the senior squad over the next week.

Storn Eowyn has forced shops to close[/caption]

People in Scotland areas have been urged to stay indoors after the Met Office issued a red danger to life warning for wind.

The storm has sparked extreme warnings for the area and Northern Ireland, with the storm likely to damage buildings, uproot trees and cause power cuts, the Met Office said.

Alongside, supermarkets closures trains have been cancelled and flights have been grounded.

Schools in the area have also been closed to ensure the safety of children.

Morrisons

Morrisons said 50 of its stores in Scotland would close because of Storm Eowyn.

The stores across the region will be closed today, January 24, with a spokesperson telling The Sun they will reopen when it is “safe to do so”.

The Sun revealed the full list of stores which are closed that you can check out here.

If you are keen to visit a store then you should check the Morrison’s ahead of time to ensure it not still shut.

Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury’s also said it will close its supermarkets and convenience stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland on Friday, January 24.

In Northern Ireland, all stores will be closed from 7am until 3pm.

In Scotland, stores within the most significantly impacted areas will be closed from 7am to 6pm.

Sainsbury’s said stores will “reopen once it is safe to do so after the weather warning lifts”.

All groceries online deliveries, on-demand services and Fast Track deliveries for Northern Ireland and Scotland will also be cancelled until conditions improve.

A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said, “Nothing is more important to us than the safety of our colleagues and customers.

“We understand this decision may be inconvenient to some of our customers and we hope they understand.”

Tesco

Tesco also been forced to close a number of stores in both Scotland and Northern Ireland and cancel home delivery orders.

Customers in areas including Ayrshire, Glasgow and Stirling previously recieved an email that their stores will be closed on Friday.

The supermarket giant urged shoppers to keep an eye on their website for opening times.

They also apologised for the inconvenience caused.

The email read: “Due to red weather warnings, and to ensure the safety of our colleagues and customers, Tesco stores in your area will be closed tomorrow, Friday, January 24.

“This means Home Delivery and Click+Collect orders scheduled for Friday from these stores will be cancelled.

“If you have a slot booked, we’ll contact you to confirm next steps.

“Our stores will reopen when the red warning is lifted in your area and it’s safe to do so.”

M&S

M&S has closed its branches in Scotland due to the extreme weather.

In a statement on X, formally known as Twitter, M&S said: “All 62 stores in these areas will remain closed during the red warning period.”

Aldi

Aldi has 96 stores across Scotland all of which are closed because of the store.

In a statement the group said: “Due to Storm Éowyn across Scotland all of our Aldi Scotland stores in the Red Weather Warning areas will be closed from 9am to 6pm to ensure the safety of our teams and customers.

“We’re closely monitoring the situation and will share updates here if there are any further changes.”

Lidl

Lidl has closed some stores across Scotland but they could open in just a few hours.

The group said it closed Lidl stores in the affected areas in Scotland between 10am-5pm.

It added: “We’re monitoring the situation closely, and will continue to share updates if there are any further changes.”

Virgin Media

Virgin Money also said customers planning to head to one of their branches today should check their store finder online to see if it is open.

It warned that branches could be closed because of the storm.

You can check if your local branch has been impacted by searching store finder on the Virgin Money website.

Waterstones

Waterstones said its Edinburgh shops would also be closed today and encouraged shoppers to “stay safe”.

The book store said it hopes to reopen on tomorrow, Saturday January 25.

YOUR STORM REFUND AND COMPENSATION RIGHTS

Consumer reporter James Flanders explains what you might be due.

Power outages

If your power is off for more than 24 hours following bad weather, you are entitled to £80.

You will also get £80 if you are left without power for 48 hours due to a “severe” storm.

After these time frames, you’ll get a further £40 for every additional six hours you are without power, up to a maximum of £2,000.

How you can claim compensation varies depending on your distribution network operator (DNO) – you can find your DNO on the National Grid’s website.

You must claim power compensation within 30 days of any power outage.

Storm damage

You may be able to make a claim on your home insurance for storm damage, but of course, this depends on the type of cover you have.

The finer details in your terms and conditions will reveal what exactly you are covered for.

Usually, both building and contents insurance cover against storm and weather damage, according to comparethemarket.com.

The Financial Ombudsman defines a storm as “generally involving” violent winds, usually accompanied by rain, hail or snow“.

But many insurers have their own standards defining “bad weather”, which you agree to when you take out the policy.

Water outage

If you’re left without water due to bad weather and it isn’t restored by the time the company says it will be, you’re usually entitled to compensation of £20 for the first 24 hours.

After this point, you should get an extra £10 for each further 24-hour period you’re left without running water.

If your supplier doesn’t send you compensation within 20 working days, you are entitled to an extra £20.

However, there are some circumstances when your water company doesn’t have to pay compensation.

For example, if the weather was severe enough, it was not able to meet its “standards”.

Broadband and landline outages

Broadband and landline customers can get money back from their provider following outages through the Automatic Compensation Scheme.

You don’t have to ask for compensation, and it should just be given to you automatically after reporting any issues.

Ofcom, the telecoms regulator, previously confirmed to The Sun the scheme applies if the fault is caused by bad weather.

Any compensation is sent as a credit on your bill no later than 30 days after the issue occurred.

Landline and broadband customers can get compensation if their service has stopped working and is not fixed after two full working days.

For each calendar day that the service is not repaired after this two-day period, the customer receives £9.33.

Car damage

You’ll only be able to claim on your car insurance if it’s fully comprehensive.

Third-party fire and theft policies only cover if your car is damaged by another vehicle or if your car is stolen or catches fire, according to Uswitch.

So if you’re not fully comp, you’ll have to fork out for damage caused by falling trees or fences from Storm Isha.

With a fully comp policy, you’ll still have to pay the excess – how much that is depends on how much the policy is.

But bear in mind that making a claim could see your premium rate jump up.

Train delays

You can get your money back if your train is cancelled or delayed – but only if you choose not to travel at all.

National Rail says your unused ticket can be refunded, and you shouldn’t be charged a fee for this.

All ticket types are refundable if you do not travel due to disruption, according to the Office of Rail and Road.

You may be able to get compensation for train journeys that have been delayed or cancelled due to severe weather.

All train companies have adopted “delay repay”, a national scheme used to compensate you for unexpected delays – and sometimes this includes bad weather.

Passengers are entitled to compensation for any delay of 15 minutes or more unless the delay is caused by planned engineering work.

How much you get back depends on how long the delay is and the type of ticket you have.

You can usually claim online via the train company’s website and will usually need a picture of your ticket and information about the train service you were on to claim.

Flight delays

When a flight is due to depart from an EU airport, regardless of the airline, or where an EU airline is due to land at an EU airport, you are covered by EU flight delay and cancellation rules.

When your flight is cancelled, you’re entitled to an alternative flight or a full refund – including a refund for the return leg.

If you opt for an alternative flight, it’s up to you whether to fly as soon as possible after the cancelled flight or at a later date.

If you opt for a later flight, you may also be entitled to food, drink and accommodation if you have to stay overnight.

Your airline may give you a voucher to redeem.

If you cannot contact your airline, you may need to pay for accommodation yourself and claim the cash back later – make sure you keep hold of receipts.

If you were due to travel outside the EU, contact your airline as what you’re entitled to will vary.

If your flight has been delayed for more than five hours and it’s an EU flight, you are entitled to a refund if you no longer want to travel.

You will also get a refund for any unused parts of your booking – for example, the return flight – and a flight back to your departure airport if you’ve already completed part of your journey.

If you opt for this, keep in mind that you’ll generally no longer be entitled to any further care and assistance.

Generally, you don’t have a right to claim additional compensation if the cause of the delay or cancellation is bad weather.

Nintendo Switch Online adds three new games for free – and one has never been released in the West before

Illustration of Super Nintendo Entertainment System games and controllers available on Nintendo Switch Online.

NINTENDO Switch Online members have been eating well, with quite a few games being added to the subscription recently.

The latest three additions have just arrived in the SNES catalogue of Nintendo Switch Online, and one of the games is making its official debut outside of Japan.

Sutte Hakkun is a cute weird puzzle platformer that never really left Japan before[/caption]

Nintendo has added Sutte Hakkun, Fatal Fury 2, and Super Ninja Boy to its Super Nintendo app for Switch Online subscribers.

Sutte Hakkun is a very interesting addition, as the 1997 puzzle action game was published only in Japan and has never been fully localised in English.

You play as the titular character Hakkun, a drinking bird toy made of glass that can absorb and deposit blocks and liquids.

Using its abilities Hakkun must make its way through each level and collect hidden rainbow shards.

The game is provided in its original Japanese version via Switch Online, but it’s very easy to figure out and navigate through the menus even if you don’t know the language.

It also helps that once you get to the levels, all interface elements are in English.

Fatal Fury 2 is a classic 1992 fighting game from SNK and arguably the highlight of this latest batch of SNES titles on Nintendo Switch Online.

The second game in the long-running series added new characters, including Kim Kaphwan and the iconic Mai Shiranui.

With her ninjitsu fighting style and staggering looks, Mai has been a mainstay for the series ever since.

Finally, Super Ninja Boy is a classic action RPG mixing an overworld with random encounters, dungeons, and real-time combat.

All three games are already available to Nintendo Switch Online subscribers via the Super Nintendo Entertainment System app.

If you have an active subscription, all you need to do is download the app from the eShop on your Nintendo Switch.

Since these are all SNES games, they are available to members of both tiers of the Nintendo Switch Online service and do not require the more expensive Expansion Pack tier.

From Rihanna’s onstage fan romps to boob-flashing stunts… the raunchy pop icons who pushed EVERY boundary

STRUTTING onto stage in a tiny outfit, Sabrina Carpenter knows all eyes will be on her as she sings hit after hit.

The pop star, 25, has come under fire for her sexualised outfits by musical powerhouses Mike Stock, Matt Aitken and Pete Waterman.

In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Matt, 68, said: “Pop music, and particularly pop videos, have become a lot more sexualised than back in the Eighties — overtly so, for better or for worse.”

Pete, 78, added: “And that is incredibly strange given that women’s rights are so protected now.

“To see Sabrina Carpenter dressed as a little girl is quite offensive. She doesn’t need that.”

But former Disney star Sabrina isn’t even half as raunchy as some of the female stars she’s followed.

While she opts for skimpy dresses and has simulated racy acts on stage, it’s all in a time-honoured tradition of using sex to help boost sales.

The Sun looks back on the antics of other singers who would make Sabrina blush with their antics.

Katy Perry

When Katy, 40, released her seventh album, she used it as a chance to change her image.

The pop princess, who had been fairly PG for most of her career, gave a sexually charged performance at the 2024 VMAs.

Katy sang I’m His He’s Mine with Doechii and the two performers sexually writhed with each other.

Both women paused in different provocative positions throughout the sexually charged performance.

They also faked a lesbian sex act, which horrified viewers.

One posted on social media: “Desperate. Career is over”.

Rihanna is the best-selling female artist of the 21st century according to the Guinness World Records, and that may be in part down to her controversial performance choices.

The singer, 36, shocked the world with her music video for hit single S&M in 2010.

The overtly sexual video was banned in 11 countries, and in America YouTube required verification that someone was 18 before they could watch it.

Rihanna didn’t stop there with her antics – she even pulled fans up on stage during the tour to simulate sex with them.

One of the chosen few was a 60-year-old man.

She continued her theme of faking sex on stage in a performance with Drake at the 2016 Brits.

The singer twerked and grinded on the rapper as they performed.

Swedish performer Tove, 37, isn’t afraid to flash her bits when performing to make sure everyone is paying attention.

In 2017 she got her boobs out at different festivals, the first one being Coachella in California.

Explaining her flashing habit, she told MTV News: “I started just by showing a little bit of boob or just being sassy and everyone got so excited and then one night I just did it.

“I was like ‘Why should I not be able to do it? I should just do it if I want to and everyone gets so amped up and a lot of girls, and guys, are flashing me now and taking their clothes off. It gets very heated and I like that.’”

She added: “I hate when someone tells me I can’t do something because I’m a girl, then I’ll do it twice as much.”

In 2023, she made the decision that rather than getting her assets out, she’d have a nude bodysuit with fake nipples stuck on the front.

Grammy-nominated Tove then performed provocative dance moves during the concert in Nashville.

It certainly makes Sabrina and other stars look respectably dressed.

In the infamous Bangerz era, Miley, 32, was happy to fake sex acts with anything and everything she could find.

In an infamous performance at London G-A-Y club in 2014, she was seen riding an inflatable penis and then acted out sex acts with blow up dolls.

A year before she had made headlines for her provocative performance at the VMAs with Robin Thicke where she suggestively flicked her tongue at him and twerked on his crotch while bending over.

She also won legions of fans for her Wrecking Ball video which saw her riding one nude but Miley doesn’t have fond memories of the video.

What did Stock Aitken Waterman say about Sabrina

MUSIC industry titans Stock Aitken Waterman have hit out at Sabrina Carpenter and other modern stars for being overly sexual.

The men have 13 No1 singles and 250million records sold globally between them and have penned some of the world’s best known tracks.

They dislike Sarbina because of her skimpy outfits and flirty lyrics.

The hitmakers have even suggested the Espresso singer is setting back the movement for women’s rights.

She doesn’t need that.

“She’s got great talent and yet the whole of the industry, these girls come out in as little as possible because they know they’re driving young boys to their websites.

“So you go, hang on, we could never have done that 30 years ago.

“We would have been killed if we’d have done half of what they do now. Madonna was the only person who ever got close to that image.”

Agreeing with them, Mike, 73, said: “They’ve won all of their freedoms and their rights, women.

“They fought for everything they’ve got and now they’re throwing it away, is the way I would look at it.”

Pete added: “It’s just crazy. If you’re asking to be respected, don’t come on in a G-string.”

“I’m never living that down. I will always be the naked girl on a wrecking ball,” she said on the Zach Sang Show.

“I should have thought how long that was going to have to follow me around. That’s my worst nightmare, is that being played at my funeral.”

In an interview with Vogue she admitted she carried a “lot of guilt and shame” for the wild behaviour and feels she was “judged harshly”.

While she is now less raunchy, she still opts for sexy outfits to perform and has no issue embracing her sexuality in a toned down way.

American wrapper Cardi, 32, is no shrinking violet when it comes to an incredibly sexualised performance.

Her collaboration in 2020 with Megan Thee Stallion for WAP left fans shocked at the number of sex acts they simulated.

They are also seen writhing about together on the floor, surrounded by snakes.

It wasn’t just the music video that left people shocked, it was also the explicit and graphic content of the lyrics.

It did get praise for its sex positive message and empowering women.

To date, it’s the most sexually explicit song to ever top the US chart.

And Cardi hasn’t toned it down since. For her single Like What, she is seen walking around a mansion in a string bikini.

She is also filmed writhing on the floor and a bed in a sexual manner.

Pop queen Madonna, 66, has always been known for pushing the boundaries with her performances.

And she hasn’t slowed down since turning 60 in any way.

Her Madame X tour between 2019 and 2020 saw her pretend to perform a sex act on herself while performing on stage.

It left fans shocked on the first night of her tour. She went on to say: “I think it’s important women have the right to decide what to do with their bodies.”

She also joked that she had found one of the dancers on dating app Grindr.

The star still wears very revealing outfits to perform and post pictures in on her Instagram.

In 2022 she had a very raunchy performance with rapper Tokischa.

At one point, the rapper acted out going down on Madonna, and then the two had a passionate kiss at the end of their performance.

Rapper Nicki, 42, isn’t afraid to write sexually explicit lyrics and even bring actual sex toys on stage.

Her hit song Anaconda certainly got the world talking about her backside.

In the video, she is seen twerking in a G-string while she raps.

Three years before the controversial song, Nicki had shocked fans when she whipped out a dildo on stage and placed it between her legs.

It’s safe to say she isn’t worried about playing it safe to avoid controversy.

And the sex stunts haven’t harmed her, as she is believed to be one of the wealthiest rappers in the world.

Just three months ago she posted a photo of herself nude in the bath and a photo of herself with just her nipples covered.

Singing sensation Christina has built her career on being racy in her performances and having sexually charged lyrics.

Her more provocative image was crafted to help boost sales of her second album, Stripped, which is one of the best-selling albums of the 21st Century.

Her 2002 smash hit Dirrty saw her prancing around in little clothing and doing provocative dance routines.

And she’s happy to talk about sex and sexuality outside of her songs.

On the Call Her Daddy podcast, she said: “I wanted to always own [my sexuality]. It was always important to me.

“Sexuality is a beautiful thing, and we need to take care of it as women.

“We need to really make sure that we prioritise it and ourselves and what it means to us.”

22 years on, she is still happy stripping down to nothing – which she did to celebrate turning 44-years-old.

She’s also joined Sabrina on tour for Short ‘n Sweet and donned a similar outfit to the younger singer, showing off her incredible figure.

Who has the best boobs in the world? According to the golden ratio

ACCORDING to the laws of the Golden Ratio, Michelle Keegan is the celebrity boasting the world’s best breasts.

See which other stars came close, based on the system for measuring physical perfection developed by the ancient Greeks.

Michelle Keegan has the “best breasts in the world” according to the ‘Golden Ratio’ theory

Ex Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr features in the top five behind Michelle Keegan.

Holly Willoughby and Heart Radio’s Amanda Holden‘s breasts were also deemed to have near ‘perfect’ proportions, according to a formula which stipulates the ideal position of the nipples.

The mathematical equation known as Phi devised by the ancient Greeks sees the ideal breast proportion as 45:55.

This is where 45 per cent of the breast would be above the nipple (upper pole) and 55 per cent below the nipple (lower pole).

Consultant plastic surgeon Mr Allen Rezai a compiled the top-five list to see how modern celebs breasts’ matched up according to the formula.

He chose celebrities whose breasts are in natural proportion to their body shape — but said this can be difficult to assess because it depends on the type of bra and clothing they’re wearing.

Allen selected celebrities with natural looking breasts including Denise Richards, Michelle Keegan, Miranda Kerr, Amanda Holden and Holly Willoughby.

The Harley Street surgeon said the ‘Golden Ratio‘ in breasts, for him, is about creating breasts that are in proportion with the rest of the body.

Explaining the science behind the equation, he said: “The Golden Ratio in breast anatomy considers a three-dimensional, frontal, lateral and vertical geometric view of the breast based on the historically known golden or divine ratio, Phi (1/1.618).

“The Golden Ratio is a proportion that exists throughout nature and has been used for millennia. It can be found in the pyramids of Egypt, facial aesthetics and even the shape of the breast.

“There’s been various studies that define the most attractive breast shape taking into account the ratio of the upper to lower pole of the breast with the level of the nipple marked the dividing line between the upper and lower poles.

“The ratios include 35:65, 45:55, 50:50, and 55:45. One breast ratio which is mostly discussed in the media is 45:55.”

Denise is blessed with “scientifically perfect” breasts[/caption]

Former Real Housewife Of Beverly Hills star Denise has scientifically ‘perfect’ breasts, according to the ratio.

Allen said: “The size of Denise’s breasts fit perfectly with the proportion of her body and shape.

“Her upper breast tissue appears to be full and supple, which gives a natural look. Providing a natural slope in the upper pole with fullness in the lower pole.”

He added that it’s all about the ‘”natural loo”’ when it comes to breasts.

Allen went on to explain that “has she, or hasn’t she?” is the question a lot of his patients want from surgery — from people not being able to tell if they’ve had breast implants or not.

Actress Michelle‘s breasts are also scientifically ‘perfect’ — with a 45:55 Golden Ratio equation.

Plastic surgeon Allen explained that Michelle’s ratio “provides a natural breast appearance”.

“It is in proportion to her slim and petite figure,” he added.

Holly Willoughby – 55:45

TV star Holly Willoughby was also listed in Allen’s compilation.

The surgeon said: “Holly’s breasts are in proportion to her toned figure, with a ratio of 55:45.

“It appears she has a slightly longer upper breast pole compared to the distance from nipple to breast fold.”

Miranda Kerr – 55:45

The ex Victoria’s Secret supermodel also featured in Allen’s top five list.

He believes the most attractive breast size and shape is one that complements a person’s figure, rather than under or overwhelming it.

Allen said this has a lot to do with proportion, with Miranda’s breasts perfectly complementing her body shape — her hip to waist ratio and height.

He added: “The tissue appears to be soft, and distributed evenly.

“They appear full but not overly large — they just sit very well with her proportions.”

Amanda Holden – 60:40

Illustration of a woman's chest with measurements indicating a 60/40 ratio.
Amanda Holden has the fifth best boobs in the world according to Allen Rezai, Consultant Plastic Surgeon

The Britain’s Got Talent judge also appeared in the list, with her breasts given a 60:40 ratio based on the formula.

Allen said: “Amanda Holden’s breast ratio is 60:40 with a longer upper breast pole compared to the distance between nipple to breast fold.

“If she were to have more volume, her breasts would look out of proportion, unless the distance between nipple and breast fold are increased.”

He believes a “natural look” breast augmentation can achieve the Golden Ratio.

But similar to shoe sizing, he says a bespoke treatment plan is vital in achieving natural results, the perfect fit or the Golden Ratio.

What is the golden ratio and how to work it out?

  • The Golden Ratio is the numerical definition of ‘perfect’ beauty which dates back over 2500 years as a ratio of 1:1.618, known as ‘phi’.
  • The mathematical equation sees the ideal breast proportion as 45:55 where 45 percent of the breast would be above the nipple and 55 percent below the nipple.
  • Dr Patrick Mallucci identified the formula for perfect breasts in 2007 after conducting a study where people ranked breast types with different proportions.
  • The poll found that 87 per cent of respondents ranked breasts of the 45:55 ratio as their favourites.
  • The Upper Pole was either straight or concave, and the nipple was pointing skywards at an average angle of 20 degrees.
  • In all cases the breasts demonstrated a tight convex lower pole – a neat but voluminous curve.
  • The ratio can be found by measuring the percentage of the breast above and below the nipple.

He said: “There is no set method in achieving natural-looking results, Instead treatment plans should be tailored for each patient as every individual is different in terms of anatomy, lifestyle and preference.

“With a ‘natural look’ and the Golden Ratio in mind, I consider patient’s height, weight, breast width, breast height and the distance that exists between the nipple and breast fold, as well as patient’s preference in terms of upper and lower breast pole volume to determine the best breast implant type and size for the patient’s body, as well as the best surgical techniques to employ.

“However, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and it is not ideal to define beautiful and natural breasts 100 per cent based on one ratio.”

British Isles airport reveals plans for more flights ahead of £2million revamp

JERSEY is about to become a whole lot more accessible with new flights and a huge revamp.

The Channel Island already offers flights to lots of European destinations from Faro to Munich, but they want to encourage more.

Over the 2025 summer there will be direct flights from Jersey and Guernsey to Newcastle[/caption]

Over the next two years, Jersey Airport will undergo a £2million revamp in the hope more airlines will choose to provide routes to the island.

It’s come after the news in December 2024 where a Channel Islands airline announced they would introduce direct flights to Newcastle.

Taking off for the first time on May 3, 2025 the flights will run throughout the summer season.

Blue Islands airline recently announced that on Saturdays in August and September, Jersey passengers can fly directly to Bilbao, Spain and Verona, in Italy 2025.

Currently, Jersey offers direct flights to lots of UK destinations, from Manchester to Norwich, Glasgow, Belfast and London Gatwick.

As for the rest of Europe, you can jump on a plane from Jersey directly to Dublin, Düsseldorf, Faro, Funchal, Ibiza and Lanzarote.

They also offer trips to Majorca, Malaga, Zadar, Tenerife and Zurich.

But there’s one neighbouring city that’s missing.

Jersey currently offers no direct flights to Paris, unlike Guernsey.

Guernsey opened the new flight path to Paris in January 2024. They reach the French capital in 70 minutes and it’s been a very popular flight.

A recent route from Jersey to Amsterdam was scrapped because of lack of popularity[/caption]

While there’s hope the revamp will bring in more tourism, and will encourage locals to visit Paris, there’s worry it won’t work out – like a previous route.

In 2022 a direct flight was introduced between Jersey and Amsterdam by EasyJet.

The route ran on Tuesdays and Saturdays with five flights each day and was called a “major milestone” at the time.

But less than a year later EasyJet cancelled the route saying they were putting in more of an effort to “maintain” their services with flights to the UK.

It was announced in December 2024 that Jersey airport will undergo a makeover.

Plans to update the airport include renovating a space for sea and runway views on the first floor and the creation of a roof terrace.

They also hope to improve the shopping, food and drink options in the departures terminal.

Currently, Jersey airport manage around 23,000 commercial flights a year.

You can fly from London airports to Jersey in 1 hour and 5 minutes from as little as £30.

Unlike other airports, if you’re travelling from the UK, you don’t need to carry a passport – but it is still recommended to carry ID.
