Antony is set to seal his move to Betis today and will undergo his medical tests to get the deal over the line this weekend.
And the out-of-favour United forward is clearly excited about returning to the pitch as he told reporters at the airport: “I’m so happy, I’m ready”.
Antony, 24, is hoping to secure more minutes with the Spanish club after failing to make a single league start for Man Utd this season.
Since his £86m arrival from Ajax in 2022, Antony has scored just five Premier League goals in 62 league appearances for the Red Devils.
United and Antony will both be hoping that regular minutes are on the horizon at Betis after it was reported that the deal included penalty clauses related to how often the South American is used.
It’s understood that Betis will cover at least 84 PER CENT of the star’s wages – which are believed to be in excess of £100,000 per week.
While the Spanish outfit will also pay Antony’s bonuses at the end of the season.
It doesn’t look like it will be a permanent end to Antony’s time at Old Trafford with no buy clause included in the loan move.

A YOUNG woman has shared how she is one of the rarest types of twins in the world.
Hope Baxter and her sister, Faith, are known as Mo/Mo twins a term for monochorionic monoamniotic twins.

These twins share one placenta and one amniotic sac, and are the rarest type of twins, with only one in five twin pregnancies falling into this category.
As the twins share everything, it means these are the most identical twins you can get.
Taking to social media, Hope answered questions fans had regarding her and her sister; one question was whether the pair could have been conjoined.
She said: “So, yes, Momo twins or Mono Mono twins are basically how you get conjoined twins, which is why Momo twins are the rarest type of twin.
“There are a lot of complications that come with that type of pregnancy.”
Fortunately, she and her sister split before they became conjoined but still suffered lots of complications.
Hope explained: “We were very premature and we had to stay in the NICU for many weeks after we were born, but luckily we both made it.
“That’s also why we are named Hope and Faith, because nobody really thought that both of us, or even any of us would make it.
“Faith had a collapsed lung when she was born, and I had some heart conditions that I had to get surgery for.
“So we really are Momo miracle babies.”
People have often asked Hope whether her eye colour is because of her birth and if her sister Faith also had it.
But Hope was quick to explain it was for a reason separate to her twin story.
She said: “I have a freckle in this eye making it brown.
“So it’s an ocular nevus and it’s not genetic.
What are the different types of twins?
TWINS are when two children are produced in the same pregnancy.
They can be identical or different, and two boys, two girls, or a girl and a boy.
Twins are quite rare, but are usually born completely healthy What are the different types of twins?
Monozygotic – identical twins (‘one cell’ twins)
Dizygotic – also known as ‘fraternal’, non identical twins. Babies are no more alike than siblings born at separate times, and they can be the same or different sexes
Conjoined twins – identical twins that are joined together. They are extremely rare, and it’s estimated they range from one in 49,000 to 189,000 births, although around half are stillborn, and one third die within 24 hours.
Can identical twins be two different sexes? Identical twins are always of the same sex because they form from the same fertilised egg that contains either female or male chromosomes.
The single egg is divided into two separate embryos, and they occur in about three in every 1000 deliveries worldwide.
Therefore, boy/girl twins are always fraternal (or dizygotic), as their chromosomes are either XY (male) or XX (female).
What are Di Di twins? Di Di stands for Dichronic Diamniotic, and they are the common type of twins.
They have their own amniotic sacs and placenta, so are just sharing the womb of the mother, and are therefore not identical.
There are few complications with Di Di twins, so have a good chance of being born completely healthy without intervention from your doctor.
Di di twins are more likely to be non-identical than identical.
“Which is also why my identical twin sister does not have heterochromia.”

FOUR young Israeli female soldiers are finally free after 477 brutal days in Hamas captivity.
Karina Ariev, 20, Daniela Gilboa, 20, Naama Levy, 20, and Liri Elbag, 19, were handed over to the Red Cross and taken back to safety with Israeli forces.

The four soldiers were kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, 2023, during the deadly assault on Israel’s Nahal Oz military base.
Their long-awaited release came as armed Hamas fighters surrounded the hostages and dozens of onlookers gathered at the square in Gaza City on Saturday morning.
The women were seen waving from a stage before being handed over to the Red Cross, who drove them to safety.
The IDF has since confirmed the women have now crossed the border into Israel with IDF and Shin Bet forces.
The force said on X on Saturday morning: “The four returning soldiers, Daniela Gilboa, Liri Elbag, Naama Levy and Karina Ariev, have now crossed the border into Israeli territory with IDF and Shin Bet forces.
“The returnees, accompanied by IDF and Shin Bet forces, recently crossed the border into the territory of the State of Israel and are now on their way to the initial absorption point in the Gaza Strip, where they will meet with their parents.”
“IDF commanders and soldiers salute and embrace the returnees on their way to Israel,” the IDF added earlier today.
Their desperate families are now just moments away from meeting their daughters for the first time in more than a year.
Liri, Naama, Karina and Daniella are now the second group of hostages to be released after three women, including Israeli-Brit Emily Damari, were freed last week.
Under the terms of the fragile ceasefire, Hamas released the soldiers in exchange for 180 Palestinian prisoners held in Israel.
The four women are now expected to be driven to an Israeli army facility near the Gaza border, the IDF said earlier today.
There they will undergo physical and psychological evaluations before tearfully reuniting with their families in hospital.
Crowds gathered at the Hostages Square in Tel Aviv to watch the release.
Dozens of Israelis were seen tearing up at the hopeful scenes while holding posters of other hostages yet to be freed.
For the hostages, the nightmare began on that fateful October morning, when Hamas stormed the Nahal Oz outpost.

Videos from the attack showed the young women with their hands tied behind their backs, bloodied and pleading for mercy as Hamas terrorists tormented them.
Liri, just 19 at the time, had been a surveillance soldier for only three days.
Naama, 20, appeared in footage with blood-soaked clothes and visible wounds.
Daniela, also 20, was injured during her abduction and appeared in several Hamas propaganda videos.
And 20-year-old Karina was snatched alongside her fellow soldiers in the pre-dawn chaos.

OG Big Brother fans will remember the iconic moment when she broke a wooden picnic bench after jumping up and down on it.
“I’m really sorry,” a guilty Alison confessed in the diary room. “I could probably bend it back?”
A THIS MORNING PERSON
Some fans may be surprised to hear that Alison has actually worked for This Morning for over twenty years.
Shortly after leaving the Big Brother house, she landed the job of the show’s entertainment reporter in 2003.
Alison’s stint as a showbiz presenter resulted in many memorable hilarious moments.

2023 – Alison was announced as the new co-host of The Great British Bake Off, replacing Matt Lucas to present alongside Noel Fielding.

“I do go off of what my kids think and I knew they didn’t want me to so that massively impacted my decision.
“They don’t think I need it yet and they know how tough the recovery will be, so they really didn’t want me to do it.”
She is mum to Heidi, 17, and Max, 16, from her second marriage to Mark Croft.
Kerry’s youngest is daughter DJ, 10, whose dad is George Kay, who passed away in 2019.
Writing in her new! magazine column previously, Kerry revealed Katie was going to move in to help her recover from the facelift.
She said: “Katie is going to come to stay with me when I get it done for moral support, which I really appreciate.
“She’d had the procedure done before, so she knows what I’ll be going through and will be able to ease my nerves and anxiety, while helping during my recovery too.”
She took to Snapchat to update fans yesterday, sayining: “From my last surgery, there are just a few little bits that I want tweaking.
