The Traitors viewers slam ‘aggressive and spiteful’ star’s tactics after final as they brand her a ‘mean girl bully’

THE Traitors fans have been left up in arms over one player’s “aggressive and spiteful” tactics during the show finale.

They flooded social media site X with their views on the “insufferable” star after calling out their behaviour in the last instalment of season three.

BBC One fans have blasted winner Leanne Quigley’s ‘mean girl’ attitude towards Alexander
Eroteme

Surprise winners Leanne Quigley and Jake Brown, both 28, walked away with the £94K cash prize in very tense scenes.

It came after fellow Faithfuls Francesca Rowan-Plowden, 44, and Alexander Dragonetti, 38, were cut adrift by the duo – who were convinced there was still a Traitor in their midst when they were whittled down to a four.

Prior to his The Traitors exit, Alexander was called a liar by Leanne after slipping up on his wording about previous suspicions he had about Frankie.

As he scrambled to remember his exact wording it only made him appear suspicious and untrustworthy.

It wasn’t the only time the pair had locked horns – with a previous feisty war of words across the banishment table when Alexander suggested the Army veteran – who was playing as a nail tech – could be a Traitor.

After her blunt attitude towards Alexander in the final – which saw a show twist which fans claimed “ruined” the outcome – fans were quick to flag the mum’s conduct online.

One took to X to put: “Why was Leanne aggressive and rude towards Alexander? She seriously misjudged him. She’s certainly not my favourite person!”

Another commented: “I knew Leanne would make the final from the start. What I didn’t know was how insufferable she’d become. Always at Alexander’s throat. Everything was about her. So self-absorbed. Passive aggressive when anyone dared question her. Took out Frankie the faithful.”

A third added: “Leanne trusted nobody but expected everyone to trust her, and then got rude & aggressive when they didn’t.”

One suggested: “Leanne was just over emotional aggressive & bullying to steamroll the other weak Faithfuls to follow her.”

Another bluntly put: “Gutted that Leanne has been an aggressive mean girl all the way through and has manage to win it.”

One suggested : “If Leanne wins money, it just feels that being aggressive and not letting others speak is a winning tactic, and I feel that’ll bleed over into any other series.”

Yet others were supportive of Leanne, who had played a strong game as a Traitor from the start.

How does The Traitors work and who hosts it?

The Traitors first launched in the UK in 2022, after the Dutch format was acquired by the BBC.

Claudia Winkleman is the show’s host, and has now hosted all three series to date.

How does it work?

It is a reality game show that involves 22 contestants, and some of them are chosen to be The Traitors.

The Traitors sees a group of contestants taking part in “the ultimate game of truth and deception”.

The group of contestants are competing for the chance to walk away with a huge cash prize.

While navigating through a series of challenges, the team are also tasked with figuring out who the Traitors are in the group (usually three contestants).

Each night, the Traitors gather to “eliminate” one of the Faithful, removing them from the competition

Meanwhile, the traitors can be “banished” if they’re successfully outed as a traitor by a faithful.

The winners of the show are either the Traitor who remains undetected or the Faithfuls if they successfully eliminate all the Traitors.

The prize sees the winner could get £120K.

One cheered: “Leanne is the personification of modern feminism.”

Another then put: “Watched #thetraitors last night on delay then Uncloaked so happy that Jake and Leanne Won.”

Another added: “Having looked at Leanne’s Instagram and seeing what her and her family have been through in the last couple of years… I’m so glad she’s won. From one preemie mam to another, well done.”

FAN FAVE

Meanwhile, eagle-eyed Traitors fans have tracked down Alexander’s online dating profile – and gushed “how is he single?”

The former British diplomat has been a revelation since rejoining the action part way through the series.

Users of the Hinge app have stumbled across his profile in which he looks very dapper in a suit.

The 5ft 8ins Oxford University graduate lists his third place finish in the under 18s conker world championships and being the Secret Garden Party pun champion among his achievements.

He also reveals he’s lived in Palestine, Pakistan and Nigeria.

TikTok users who have seen the profile commented in their droves.

One wrote: “Omg he’s just the cutest.”

He has now gained over 60,000 Instagram followers since joining the show.

Three presenters stand behind a large pile of gold coins in front of a castle.

How to save money on your food shop

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save hundreds of pounds a year:

Odd boxes – plenty of retailers offer slightly misshapen fruit and veg or surplus food at a discounted price.

Lidl sells five kilos of fruit and veg for just £1.50 through its Waste Not scheme while Aldi shoppers can get Too Good to Go bags which contain £10 worth of all kinds of products for £3.30.

Sainsbury’s also sells £2 “Taste Me, Don’t Waste Me” fruit and veg boxes to help shoppers reduced food waste and save cash.

Food waste apps – food waste apps work by helping shops, cafes, restaurants and other businesses shift stock that is due to go out of date and passing it on to members of the public.

Some of the most notable ones include Too Good to Go and Olio.

Too Good to Go’s app is free to sign up to and is used by millions of people across the UK, letting users buy food at a discount.

Olio works similarly, except users can collect both food and other household items for free from neighbours and businesses.

Yellow sticker bargains – yellow sticker bargains, sometimes orange and red in certain supermarkets, are a great way of getting food on the cheap.

But what time to head out to get the best deals varies depending on the retailer. You can see the best times for each supermarket here.

Super cheap bargains – sign up to bargain hunter Facebook groups like Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK where shoppers regularly post hauls they’ve found on the cheap, including food finds.

“Downshift” – you will almost always save money going for a supermarket’s own-brand economy lines rather than premium brands.

The move to lower-tier ranges, also known as “downshifting” and hailed by consumer expert Martin Lewis, could save you hundreds of pounds a year on your food shop.

As John offers Ruby a coffee, the edgy Aaron breaks into Mill Cottage, gathering Anthony’s things along with a spare car key.

The two are intrigued to see Cain closing up the garage for a few days, a situation they hope will work in their favour.

Aaron begins stripping down Anthony’s car, while John watches with growing concern.

Later, John reassures Aaron that there’s no evidence of Anthony’s murder left at the depot, feeling like he’s been a steady support for his boyfriend.

But as John pretends to lead a health and safety initiative at the depot, he stumbles upon a tooth from Anthony’s, hidden on the floor.

Trying to maintain his composure, John does his best to hide his anxiety and avoid drawing attention to it.

However, his plan to retrieve the tooth is thwarted when Caleb suddenly appears, accusatory.

When Ruby answers the door to a distressed and haunted Aaron, she faces the difficult decision of whether to let him speak or risk even worse consequences.

As Aaron opens up about his self-harm and his struggles with Gordon, Ruby tries to console him, but Aaron’s pain overwhelms him.

He confesses to her, admitting he killed Anthony – leaving Ruby in shock.

Meanwhile, Steph is shocked to discover that Anthony’s car is gone and vents her frustration on Caleb and Ruby.

Caleb insists that this behaviour is typical of Anthony, but Ruby is left crumbling under the weight of the emotional turmoil.

The next day, an awkward Chas admits to Ruby that she told Nicola about Anthony being a danger to children.

Furious, Ruby demands that Chas retract what she said to protect Steph, who is still unaware of the full truth.

Soap's biggest whodunnits

EastEnders – Who shot Phil Mitchell?

The “Who Shot Phil?” storyline was a whodunit mystery that captured the attention of viewers and the media. The episode revealing the culprit was watched by 23 million viewers. Lisa Shaw, Phil Mitchell’s former girlfriend and the mother of his child Louise, was revealed as the killer as Phil slept with Lisa’s best friend. Phil forgave Lisa, and they agreed to keep the truth a secret.

Coronation Street – Who killed Tina McIntyre ?

The popular actress Michelle Keegan played Tina McIntyre for several years on the Cobbles, but she ended up being killed by Rob Donovan in a tragic turn of events back in 2014 when he chased her onto the balcony of the Builder’s Yard. When she tried to leave, he pushed her and she fell off the roof, with Rob convinced he killed her. With Tina still alive, he attacked her with an iron bar but she survived that attack and was rushed to hospital as doctors tried to save her.

Emmerdale – Who pushed Emma Barton?

Emma was then pushed off a viaduct by Moira after she talked ill of her dead daughter Holly, who died of an overdose in October 2017. Although Moira was responsible for Emma’s death, her son, Adam Barton, took the fall for the murder since he was already a prime suspect and he didn’t want Isaac to grow up motherless.

Hollyoaks – Glove Hand Killer

The Gloved Hand Killer was a mystery serial killer, who claimed the lives of 7 characters between January and October 2015, all by injecting them with potassium chloride. The Gloved Hand Killer’s targets were all people who had done wrong in some shape or form. There were 6 suspects for who the Gloved Hand Killer was, and the killer’s identity was revealed in October 2015. It was revealed to be doctor Lindsey Butterfield who had been killing people at the hospital.

Chas reluctantly backtracks, telling Nicola and Laurel that she misspoke.

They’re both incredulous, still convinced that Anthony’s disappearance somehow stems from their actions.

Though they feign gratitude for Chas clearing things up, once she’s gone, Laurel is left reeling from the damage done, even as Nicola tries to calm her down.

Laurel wrestles with the guilt and admits that she must go to the police to tell the truth.

But can Nicola convince her to pull back from the brink?

Man Utd flop Antony gives five-word statement as he’s pictured for first time in Spain ahead of Real Betis loan transfer

MANCHESTER UNITED flop Antony has arrived in Spain ahead of his loan move to Real Betis.

The Brazilian has said he is “so happy” after agreeing a six-month loan move to the La Liga club after failing to impress at United.

Antony is set to seal his move to Betis today and will undergo his medical tests to get the deal over the line this weekend.

And the out-of-favour United forward is clearly excited about returning to the pitch as he told reporters at the airport: “I’m so happy, I’m ready”.

Antony, 24, is hoping to secure more minutes with the Spanish club after failing to make a single league start for Man Utd this season.

Since his £86m arrival from Ajax in 2022, Antony has scored just five Premier League goals in 62 league appearances for the Red Devils.

United and Antony will both be hoping that regular minutes are on the horizon at Betis after it was reported that the deal included penalty clauses related to how often the South American is used.

It’s understood that Betis will cover at least 84 PER CENT of the star’s wages – which are believed to be in excess of £100,000 per week.

While the Spanish outfit will also pay Antony’s bonuses at the end of the season.

It doesn’t look like it will be a permanent end to Antony’s time at Old Trafford with no buy clause included in the loan move.

Antony's Manchester United 2024-25 season stats: 8 games, 3 chances created, 0 goals, 0 assists, 3 shots on target, 59 passes, 2 fouls.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

Antony’s current terms with United run until June 2027, with United understood to hold the option to extend the deal by another year.

Ruben Amorim may lose yet another winger in the remaining week of the January window.

Alejandro Garnacho is reportedly close to a dramatic switch to Chelsea in a £60m deal.

While the Blues could send Christopher Nkunku the other way in a surprise swap deal.
