Shoppers rushing to Tesco as Easter favourite chocolate returns to stores

TESCO shoppers are rushing to get their hands on an “amazing” Easter favourite chocolate.

The supermarket has brought back Kinder Bueno mini eggs that combine milk chocolate with a gooey hazelnut centre.

Tesco shoppers are rushing to buy returning Kinder Bueno mini eggs

It’s not the first time the sweet bites have been on sale at a major retailer, but it hasn’t stopped fans giving them all the love.

The Snack Reviews Facebook page shared pictures of the chocolate eggs after recently spotting them in a Tesco branch and shoppers have been quick to react.

One commented: “I eat the whole bag in seconds, they’re amazing”.

A second proudly stated: “I got myself eight bags. They are so good!”

A third joked: “In my mouth yes please and thank you.”

A fourth, not beating around the bush, added: “These are the best things I’ve ever had in my life.”

Tesco is selling the bag of chocolate eggs for £3.50, or £2.90 to Clubcard customers.

You can sign up to the Clubcard loyalty app for free via the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Remember though, it’s always worth shopping around before buying any product like this.

You can use price comparison sites like Trolley or Price Spy to check how much retailers are selling a particular item for.

You can also use the Google Shopping/Product tab, but this doesn’t allow you to filter the price of any results.

Using Trolley, we found you can in fact get the Kinder Bueno mini eggs cheaper at one of Tesco’s rivals – Asda.

The supermarket is selling the 80g bag for £2.75 on its website.

Morrisons and Waitrose are also selling the chocs online, but for £3 and £3.25, respectively.

How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.

Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…

Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.

Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.

Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.

Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.

They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.

Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.

So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

PRICE OF CHOCOLATE SOARS

Experts have warned of chocolate price hikes due to a global shortage of cocoa.

Cocoa production in West Africa accounts for around 70% of global supply but harvests fell by 11% last year.

Prices hit a record high in March following El Nino weather conditions, pests and diseases affecting crop yields.

The crisis led to bean costs per ton hitting £7,800 – up 350% from September 2022, and issues aren’t abating any time soon.

A spokesperson for Mondelez, which owns Cadbury, recently said cocoa and dairy costed “far more” than they have done previously, on top of high energy and transport costs.

This has led to it having to increase the price of certain products, including Mini Eggs, while shrinking other items and keeping their price the same.

Sophie Jewett, owner of York Cocoa House, a chocolate factory, previously told The Sun: “We need to be rethinking how we consume and source things. The era of cheap chocolate is over.”

Premier League release statement on ‘nonsensical’ Myles Lewis-Skelly red card vs Wolves with Arsenal fans left fuming

ARSENAL players and fans have been left raging after Myles Lewis-Skelly was surprisingly sent off.

The 18-year-old was given a red card for a foul on Wolves star Matt Doherty after 43 minutes.

The hosts had just defended a corner from the Gunners when they looked to break away on the counter-attack.

Doherty sprinted away with the ball and was cynically tripped up by Lewis-Skelly.

Most expected him to be given a yellow card, but he was instead given a red by referee Michael Oliver.

Leandro Trossard and Gabriel led the complaints, sprinting up to the official to protest.

They were then joined by William Saliba, Gabriel Martinelli and Declan Rice, who waved his arms in huge frustration.

Following a VAR check, the refs decided to stick with the on-field decision and Lewis-Skelly trudged off the pitch.

He looked perplexed as headed down the tunnel and argued with the fourth official on his way.

Manager Mikel Arteta also looked displeased but pointed to his head, encouraging his players to not lose their temper.

The Premier League have released a statement explaining the red card, saying: “The referee’s call of a red card for Lewis-Skelly was checked and confirmed by VAR, who deemed his challenge to have been serious foul play.”

Arsenal fans have slammed the farcical decision online, with one saying: “I don’t say this lightly, but I think that red card for Lewis-Skelly is the worst decision I’ve ever witnessed at a football stadium.

“I’m completely baffled how that has been cleared by VAR. It’s the classic ‘good’ yellow card you take to cynically stop a counter.”

Thai cops detain Brit husband of ‘Lady of the Hills’ victim 21yrs after wife’s half-naked body found in UK beauty spot

A BRITISH lecturer at the centre of a cold case murder mystery has been detained in Thailand – six years after he denied killing his wife.

David Armitage, 62, was held by immigration officials in the town of Kanchanaburi where he has been teaching at a university for nearly 20 years.

He is now facing being deported from Thailand after a probe into his visa, according to Thai media.

If he travels back to the UK then police investigating the Lady of the Hills case plan to speak to him about the 2004 murder of his Thai wife.

The development comes more than a year after he refused to meet cops from North Yorkshire Police’s cold case unit who had travelled to Thailand in February 2023.

He had agreed to speak to them but cancelled at the last minute.

Lamduan’s partially-clothed body was found in a mountain stream in the Yorkshire Dales in 2004 near the village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale.

At the time police – who were unable to identify her – treated her death as non-suspicious.

She was dubbed the Lady of the Hills by villagers who buried her in an anonymous grave in Horton in 2007.

Around a decade later North Yorkshire Police’s cold case unit launched a fresh probe and declared her death was murder.

The mother-of-three was finally identified as Lamduan after fresh police appeals.

She had moved to the UK in 1991 after marrying Armitage, who is from Burton-in-Kendal, Cumbria, in Bangkok.

They settled in Portsmouth where Armitage worked as a teacher and Lamduan washed dishes in a Thai restaurant, before moving to Rugby, Warwickshire.

The mother-of-three vanished in the summer of 2004 but was never reported missing.

The Sun tracked Armitage down to his remote home in Thailand in 2019 where he denied killing his wife.

He said there had been a whispering campaign against him in the Thai media but added: “I didn’t kill my wife. Absolutely not.

“I know the inferences are there but I’m just getting on with my life. It’s been a long time.”

Lamduan’s heartbroken mum Joomsri Seekanya, 79, revealed the last time she had spoken to her daughter was in an emotional phone call in 2004.

She said: “She said she missed home so much.

“It was a very short call. We’ve not heard from her since.”

Armitage was detained on Thursday, according to Thai media.

North Yorkshire Police said they were keen to speak to Armitage if he is deported and returns to the UK.

A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We are aware of the detention in Thailand of David Armitage, the husband of Lamduan Armitage.

“We understand it relates to his visa status and residence in Thailand and is entirely a matter for the Immigration Service of the Royal Thai Police.

“Should Mr Armitage be deported, we understand that he will have a choice as to where he goes, which will include return to the UK.

Should that occur, we will again make every effort to speak to him about the investigation.”

Ancient stone with mystery carvings from 1,700yrs ago found in Biblical region where Jesus ‘walked on water’

A MYSTERIOUS stone carved nearly 1,700 years ago has been unearthed in a region rich with Biblical history, where Jesus is said to have walked on water.

The volcanic slab, inscribed with Ancient Greek, may rewrite what we know about the Roman Empire’s reach — and the towns it controlled.

Illustration of a 1700-year-old Roman boundary marker found in Upper Galilee, Israel, with maps showing its location.

Scientists say that the basalt stone, unearthed in Upper Galilee at the site of Abel Beth Maacah, served as a boundary marker under Roman rule.

It reveals the existence of two previously unknown settlements – Tirathas and Golgol – firmly within the vast Roman Empire’s control.

The stone’s inscriptions date back 1,720 years, during the reign of Caesar Marcus Aurelius Alexander, a name familiar to fans of the original Gladiator film.

Alongside the towns’ names, it features references to four governors who managed the empire’s far-flung territories.

Professor Uzi Leibner from the Hebrew University explained the significance of such a discovery.

He said: “Finding a boundary stone like this not only sheds light on ancient land ownership and taxation but also provides a tangible connection to the lives of individuals who navigated these complex systems nearly two millennia ago.”

The discovery paints a picture of Rome’s extensive influence, stretching from Italy to the Middle East, where it governed Israel from 63 BC until 135 AD.

Residents of the region, taxed by an empire 2,500 miles away, left behind enduring traces of their lives etched into the archaeological record.

Researchers said that this stone can provide a “unique glimpse into the lives of ancient inhabitants, the pressures they faced and the enduring traces of their communities in the archaeological record.”

The names Tirathas and Golgol are entirely new to scholars.

Researchers linked Golgol linguistically and culturally to significant Biblical locations like Gilgal and Golgotha.

While Gilgal is mentioned in the Book of Joshua as a key Israelite encampment, Golgotha is famously known as the site of Jesus’ crucifixion.

Researchers have speculated that the ruins of Kh. Turritha, recorded in the late 19th century on the Lebanese side of the border, may correspond to Tirathas.

The resemblance of the names “can hardly be coincidental,” they noted, though only “large heaps of basalt stones” were documented at the time.

The search for Golgol, however, remains inconclusive.

Some scholars believe a round hill near Abel Beth Maacah could hold the answer, though no definitive archaeological link has been made.

The boundary stone adds to a collection of over 20 similar finds in the northern Hula Valley, dating to a period of heightened Roman administrative control.

Israel, including the Galilee region (pictured) was under Roman Rule from 63 BC until 135 AD[/caption]

These markers were used to define land ownership, streamline taxation, and enforce imperial authority.

The artifact’s placement in Galilee, where Biblical history and Roman governance collide, marks how ancient geography, economy, and culture are interconnected.

It comes after an ancient amulet once believed to have protected women and children from ‘evil spirits’ was also unveiled in the Biblical region of Galilee by archaeologists.

The 1,500-year-old artefact is called ‘Solomon’s Seal’ and was found in northern Israel by a local resident living in the village of Arbel about 40 years ago.

Meanwhile, a religious shrine sealed up by the ancestors of Jesus was discovered in the ancient heart of Jerusalem, frozen in time for nearly 3,000 years.

Carved into the rock on the east slope of the City of David, near Temple Mount, the remarkably preserved structure comprises eight rooms containing an altar and a sacred standing stone

And experts believe it may have featured in the Bible, because the partially-destroyed site lines up with the story of how Hezekiah – one of Jesus’s paternal grandfathers – smashed idolatrous places of worship.

The mum of five told her fans she was headed to Turkey for her latest surgery

On Friday, former glamour model Katie, 46, revealed she was preparing to go under the knife again.

She told how she had touched back down in Turkey following her 17th boob job and previous facelift last year.

Katie confessed on Snapchat: “From my last surgery, there are just a few little bits that I want tweaking.

“Well, they need tweaking. So here I am getting ready. That’s the worst bit for me, the needle.

“The needle’s done so now I can relax.”

Now she has documented the painful reality of her “tweaking” with the brutal images showing her squinting eyes as she lay on her hospital bed.

Katie donned a cream hoodie to stay cosy during the procedure and pulled her raven locks into a high bun.

Her recovery will no doubt have been brightened by the arrival of her boyfriend JJ Slater, 31, into the hospital ward.

The duo, who are continually surrounded with split rumours, were all smiles, with Married At First Sight alum JJ seen topless in the bed as he flashed a huge grin.

Earlier on, Katie took to her Instagram page to reveal she was “off to Turkey.”

And prior to her procedure on her Snapchat page she told how she had to wait a few hours for blood test results before the procedure.

She then posted another update as she was wheeled to the operating room, telling her followers: “Just to inform you all, I’m now going down for my operation. Nice and calm.”

While Katie hasn’t confirmed exactly what tweaks she’s having done, she recently admitted her face lift left her with botched ears.

Sources close to the star claimed she was unhappy with her “pixie ears” following the surgery.

2006 – Katie went under the knife to take her breasts up to a G cup

2007 – Katie had a rhinoplasty and veneers on her teeth

2008 – Katie stunned fans by reducing her breasts from an F cup to a C cup

2011 – Going back to an F cup, Katie also underwent body-contouring treatment and cheek and lip fillers

2014/5 – Following a nasty infection, Katie had her breast implants removed

2016 – Opting for bigger breasts yet again, Katie had another set of implants, along with implants, Botox and lip fillers

2017 – After a disastrous ‘threading’ facelift, Katie also had her veneers replaced. She also had her eighth boob job taking her to a GG cup

2018 – Katie went under the knife yet again for a facelift

2019 – After jetting to Turkey, Katie had a face, eye and eyelid lift, Brazilian bum lift and a tummy tuck

2020 – Katie has her 12th boob job in Belgium to correct botched surgery and a new set of veneers

2021 –  In a complete body overhaul, she opts for eye and lip lifts, liposuction under her chin, fat injected into her bum and full body liposuction

2022 – Katie undergoes another brow and eye lift-and undergoes ‘biggest ever’ boob job in Belgium, her 16th in total

2023 – Opting for a second rhinoplasty, Katie also gets a lip lift at the same time as well as new lip filler throughout the year

2024 – Katie has her 17th boob job in Brussels after revealing she wanted to downsize. She performed at Dublin Pride just days later and surgeons warned the lack of recovery posed a risk of infection

Closer Magazine reported: “Katie is heading to Turkey for her first New Year’s procedure: fixing her pixie ears.

“She thinks they need correcting after her recent facelift. She’s having her ears removed, then re-stitched in place and pinned back so that they don’t stick out.”

Reflecting on Katie’s “obsession” with surgery, the source continued: “Friends think Katie has gone too far.

“They feel like she’s obsessed and loves the attention – and the money from the pictures – that the surgery brings in.”

Child killer Axel Rudakubana’s schoolmates reveal ‘he was always trouble’ as he’s pictured in drama class aged 11

SOUTHPORT killer Axel Rudakubana was “always trouble,” according to old classmates, as new images have emerged showing him at a drama class aged 11.

Rudakubana, now 18, was told he will serve life after murdering Bebe King, six, Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, and Alice Da Silva Aguiar, nine, and trying to kill ten others at a Taylor Swift dance class last July.

He was a shy and awkward boy but it soon took a far darker turn

The cowardly killer was sentenced on Thursday to a minimum of 52 years in prison – the longest for anyone his age.

Yet Rudakubana, in his early school years, was an awkward boy who loved to sing and dance before the tide slowly turned.

In new pictures released, taken at the Pauline Quirke Academy – a drama school in Southport in 2017 – Rudakubana is seen reciting lines from a script.

He attended Saturday morning classes here along with his elder brother, joining other local children – aged between four and 18 – who share a passion for music, dance and theatre.

Another image shows him lurking on the edge of the drama group aged 11 as those around him seem enthusiastic and happy.

Dressed in a black hoodie, navy tracksuit bottoms and scuffed trainers, the young boy looks unsure of himself as he stands on the stage.

These chilling photos are now looked back on with horror after he murdered three young girls in cold blood six years later.

His behaviour slowly turned and in 2019 he was expelled from school in Formby, Merseyside, after taking in a knife.

Police were called in and the Year Nine student — then aged just 13 — was sent home, before returning with a hockey stick.

The headmaster intervened before anyone was harmed.

While Rudakubana’s lawyer, Stan Reiz KC, told the court on Thursday: “Something changed in him when he reached the age of 13”, his former peers say there were earlier warning signs.

A former pupil called Jamie, who studied at Range High School in the nearby town of Formby at the same time as Rudakubana told MailOnline: “He was always trouble.”

Jamie added: “Everybody knew him from the get-go [in Year 7]. It was clear and obvious that something was wrong in his brain.

“There were occasions when he had to be held back [by teachers]. He was infamous. People would be scared of him because he was not a good person at all.”

It was when Axel Rudakubana started secondary school in 2017 that things took a darker turn.

A former pupil called Daisy, who sat next to him in English, paints a picture of him as a troublemaker, frequently taking things “too far” and having “shouting matches” with the teacher.

By Year 8, Daisy says, he’d already earned a name for himself; “doing an Axel” became synonymous for misbehaving in lessons.

She also recalled how Rudakubana would have a “dark, ominous” look on his face when the topic of women’s rights came up.

Another student, Rebecca, described him as a “bad egg” who had a reputation for making sexist jokes to the girls.

Rebecca said she, and others, tried their best to “stay away” from Rudakubana.

Current and former pupils at the state secondary have found themselves in the spotlight this week after the disturbing revelation that, just seven days before the Southport murders, Rudakubana had plotted to take a taxi to his old school.

It seems he had a grievance to settle, and was dressed in the same green hoodie and surgical mask he wore to the attack a week later.

The cab was booked for 12.20pm — ten minutes before the 1,100 pupils aged 11-16 were due to break up for summer.

But his martial arts instructor dad came out of the house and remonstrated with Axel, then 17, before sending the driver away from their home in Banks, Lancs.

Mental health experts and social workers tried to help, resulting in an autism diagnosis, but the teenager refused to engage and waded into the cesspit of inhumanity available online.

One tablet device found by cops contained details of ethnic cleansing in Somalia, a history of Nazism and violence in Chechnya.

Shortly before the Southport murders, Rudakubana also searched on X for videos of an April 2024 stabbing of a bishop and five others in a church in Sydney.

His parents and brother were relocated in the wake of his attack.

They have not attended any of his court dates and are devastated by his crimes.

Primark shopper goes viral & slammed as ‘vile’ for smearing dog POO on shop floor – with many stunned by the ‘audacity’

A WOMAN has gone viral and has been slammed for her ‘vile’ behaviour after her dog pooed in the middle of a Primark store.

In a clip that has now racked up almost one million views on social media, the dog owner was seen kneeling on the floor whilst wearing a blue poo bag over her hand.

One influencer filmed the blunder whilst on holiday in Milan – and social media users are not impressed

With clothes draped over her shoulder and her pet on a lead, the brunette woman attempted to pick up three large piles of her dog’s mess.

But as the bargain hunter, who looked chic in a navy coat, strived to pick up her dog’s mess, it simply resulted in three large smears left on the shop floor.

Shoppers were seen walking past the woman and her pooch, avoiding and narrowly missing the animal’s stool.

A bystander named Elaine Leydon recorded the scene and shared the clip online, leaving many stunned.

Alongside the now viral video, Elaine wrote ‘When your dog takes a poo in Primark’ alongside the cheeky monkey emoji.

Clearly stunned by the shocking situation, the content creator, who is from Ireland, zoomed in on the dog’s faeces and questioned: Why do people bring their dogs into shops?”

Elaine then confirmed that she captured the footage whilst on holiday in Milan, Italy.

Later in the short video, the dog owner was seen holding the full poo bag, whilst fellow Primark shoppers gathered in shock.

Eventually, a Primark employee got involved and stood just centimetres away from the dog’s mess, to ensure it wasn’t spread or didn’t cause any accidents.

Elaine noticed that the pooch, which appeared to be a Goldendoodle, even appeared to be somewhat red-faced by the public blunder, as she wrote: ‘He looks embarrassed.’

The viral TikTok clip, which was shared under the username @elcreate, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed over 6,300 likes and more than 6,000 shares.

Many were shocked at ‘the audacity’ of the owner and eagerly flocked to the comments to express their disgust.

One person said: “As a dog owner, I don’t get this new thing of taking your dog EVERYWHERE! Why do people feel so entitled to take them into shops & restaurants?”

It’s unfair, the shop assistants have to clean that now

TikTok user

Another added: “Vile, how thick can a person be?”

A third commented: “It’s unfair, the shop assistants have to clean that now.”

Someone else chimed in: “Honestly my dogs are my life, I love them to pieces, but it’s so unhygienic taking them in shops! I honestly don’t think it should be allowed unless they are a guide/therapy dog.”

Ria Mitchell, who once admitted to spending £8,000 in Primark in a just one year has fallen out of love with the iconic high street retailer.

She told Fabulous why she no longer visits her local store every Saturday.

“I never go there,” says the 28-year-old from Guildford, Surrey.

“It’s mad charging £50 for a coat. Primark shoppers want bargains.

“They don’t want to be charged £50 for a coat or a fancy cardigan. That was always the best thing about it.

“But now it’s so expensive, why would I go there?

“Just look at pictures of my grey coat from three years ago — it was £25. And look now — charging £50 for a coat is silly. Pri-flation is real.”

Primark’s ethos has always been affordability, from essentials to standout pieces.

The reason it has continued to buck the trend for failing high street stores is because it has kept its prices low.

Twenty years ago, you could always get an entire outfit there for under £30. Fast-forward to now, and we’re in the midst of a cost-of-living crisis and are still after the same thing. In fact, we want more.

Meanwhile, a fifth questioned: “Isn’t Primark not dog friendly? I’ve never seen dogs in any Primark at all.”

To this, the content creator replied and confirmed: “I haven’t either, this was in Milan.”

Not only this, but another user wondered: “Is she not going to wipe and disinfect the floor?”

In response, Elaine explained: “No she didn’t have anything.”

But amongst the shock, one user attempted to sympathise with the pet owner and wrote: “It’s the new thing now with people bringing dogs into shops there called emotional support dogs.”

But to this, Elaine claimed: “I don’t think this was an emotional support dog”.
