A MAJOR supermarket is selling packs of Magnum and Cornetto ice creams for just 99p.

The drop in price comes as the UK is set to enjoy one of the sunniest weekends this year.

Eagle-eyed shoppers spotted that Farmyards have slashed the prices of some of their most popular ice creams.

Magnum’s Mini Double Gold Caramel Billionaire 6 packs are included in their 99p range, as well as Cornetto Soft Stracciatella and Caramel ice creams.

Even vegan ice creams are included in the 99p range, with vegan Magnum’s Chill going on sale at Farmyards.

The cheap ice creams were spotted by a shopper who shared the news on a Facebook page named Bargain Lovers.

One social media user said: “Wish I had one near me they are incredible prices!”

Another raved: “Some good bargains.”

The UK is set to experience highs of 22C today and over the weekend, making it hotter than Algarve and Los Angeles

Meteorologists have warned that temperatures are “nearer to what we’d expect in July”, as the seasonal average for April is normally 12C.

A Met Office spokesperson said: “Temperatures (on Thursday) have been nearer to what we’d expect in July in some inland and western areas, but conversely a chilly easterly breeze has kept many eastern coastal regions much colder.”

Brits have also been warned not to use barbecues over the weekend, due to the risk that it could start devastating wildfires.

The warning extends to cooking in open spaces or on balconies.

London Fire Brigade assistant commissioner Paul McCourt warned: “We want everyone to enjoy the sunshine but we urge people to take the necessary precautions to stay safe and help prevent a grass fire from starting.

“Recent events in Los Angeles and South Korea have demonstrated how rapidly fires can spread outdoors, even when temperatures are not at their highest.

“The Met Office has issued an amber wildfire warning, covering London, and this will be in place for the rest of the week.

“As the weather warms up and we head towards Friday and the weekend, we would urge Londoners not to have barbecues in open spaces or on balconies, including disposable barbecues, to throw rubbish away, and to dispose of cigarettes carefully to avoid inadvertently starting a fire.

“We’re also working closely with partners, such as local authorities, to help manage the risks in outdoor spaces and ensure the public are following the safety advice.”

A wildfire tore through Kilpatrick Hills in Glasgow, in March 2025, leaving huge swathes of the area devastated.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were able to control the fire, but experts are concerned that a BBQ could kickstart another fire somewhere in the UK.

Line of Duty’s return is ON with Vicky McClure, Martin Compston and Adrian Dunbar locked in for 2026 filming

NOW we’re sucking diesel — Line of Duty is all set to return next year for a seventh series.

Its three stars  — Martin Compston, Vicky McClure and Adrian Dunbar — have finally aligned their jam-packed diaries and will start filming a six-parter in January.

The news will thrill fans left disappointed by the limp ending of the police drama’s last series.

A TV insider said: “This is the news Line of Duty fans have been waiting for since the sixth season left them deflated when it aired back in 2021.

“The BBC almost immediately requested more episodes to continue the story, but the success of the show meant Vicky, Martin and Adrian were instantly snapped up for other projects.

“But after several meetings with Jed [Mercurio, creator and writer] and the production team, they’ve finally managed to clear space in their calendars next year to commit to making the show.”

The show about a police anti-corruption squad weeding out bent coppers, has been a ratings hit for the BBC since it first aired in 2012.

Fans loved Supt Ted Hastings’ ad-libbed use of Northern Irish sayings, such as “Jesus, Mary and Joseph and the wee donkey” and “Now, we’re sucking diesel”.

But many felt let down at the end of series six in 2021 when buffoonish Det Supt Ian Buckells (Nigel Boyle) was unmasked as villain H — the elusive mastermind with links to organised crime.

The Sun exclusively revealed in 2022 that the show, which drew up to 13million viewers, would return.

But the stars have been diverted into other projects — Martin with supernatural thriller The Rig, Vicky with bomb squad drama Trigger Point, and Adrian with jazz singer detective show Ridley.

However, their social media feeds have recently been laden with hints a seventh series is on.

Show creator Jed has written most of the storyline for the new episodes, which will start production later this year and could air by autumn 2026.

Speculation has also mounted over which actor will play the next crooked copper, with bookies said to be keen on David Tennant, Damian Lewis or Claire Foy.

The brand new digs have been kitted out perfectly to host some very famous faces
ITV

The bedroom only has double beds this year, meaning the famous faces had better get comfortable with each other quickly.

And it’s not just sharing a bed that might make them feel slightly on top of each other, as host AJ Odudu recently revealed the house is smaller this time around.

The overall look of the house is certainly fit for the likes of TV royalty Patsy Palmer, with each room decorated in bright shades of red, orange or blue.

There are two huge curved red sofas where the celebs will find out which one of them has been dumped from the house during each eviction.

The kitchen has a huge island – perfect for them to sit and gossip about their fellow housemates.

Of course no Big Brother house is complete without the Diary Room chair

The CBB 2025 chair is brightly coloured and also matches the Big Brother eye.

It looks like a kaleidoscope of colours, with blue, pink, orange and yellow and melted dripping plastic to create a puddle on the floor.

Also calling the house home this year will be the likes of chat show legend Trisha Goddard, Love Island star Chris Hughes and presenter Angellica Bell

Flying the flag for the younger crowd will be Nickelodeon star Jojo Siwa, as well drag queen Dannny Beard.

The Sun previously revealed how a fan-favourite feature of the Celebrity Big Brother accommodation had been ditched for the new series.

The Mezzanine floor – which was introduced by ITV when it rebooted Big Brother in 2023 – has been scrapped.

Speaking ahead of the new series, AJ said: “There’s always twists and turns with Big Brother.

The house is in a brand new location and it’s got a brand new layout. I know the house has been made slightly smaller which might heighten drama.”

She also joked that – despite her and co-host Will Best’s best efforts – the bosses are never keen to take her suggestions for housemates on board.

AJ added: “Every single series I’ve got a wish list. I’m literally texting the execs, texting the team and I’m like here’s my dream list but your girl gets ignored.

“I get blanked. And I’m like ‘excuse me, get them in’.”

Watch moment legendary actor Bill Murray lashes out at pushy fan at New York cinema blasting: ‘I’ll step on your foot’

THIS is the shocking moment iconic actor Bill Murray lashes out at a pushy fan blasting “I’ll step on your foot.”

The Ghostbusters legend was recorded confronting a man who appears to be harassing him in a cinema on March 27.

A clip of the incident has since gone viral on TikTok showing Bill challenging the unidentified fan.

The 74-year-old actor is filmed shouting: “Stop it.”

He then quickly turns round and points in anger as the man holds his hands up and apologizes.

The agitated star continues: “If you attack me like that, I’ll step on your foot.”

He looks visibly frustrated and takes a couple of steps towards the obtrusive fan.

As Bill turns away a guard, wearing a green jacket stating security, puts his hand on the actor’s back, ushering him away.

While walking, Bill turns round once more and tells the man he’s just committed a “physical assault.”

“Don’t do it,” he says.

“That’s a physical assault you’ve just made.”

As he passes the escalators, heading towards a set of glass doors, he turns round at the fan and points again.

The Groundhog Day actor adds: “Don’t do it again.

“You’re not big enough to do that.”

Bill had been attending a Q&A session of his film The Friend which is set to come out later this month.

He spoke to film buffs in the same clothes he was wearing in the video, which looks to be set in a movie theater lobby.

The clip, which was posted on TikTok received a wave of likes and comments from fans who are shocked at the footage.

One, who took against the pushy fan, said: “I’m on Bill Murray’s side.”

Another agreed: “As he should.”

A third user suggested the star might be overreacting, responding: “You got your foot nudged in a crowd and called it assault? Be serious.”

The Sun has reached out to Bill Murray for a comment.
