Kevin De Bruyne almost impossible to replace as incredible stats show he’s won over 40 PER CENT of Man City’s points

KEVIN DE BRUYNE will be almost impossible to replace.

Because he has helped win more than 40 PER CENT of Manchester City’s points.

His importance is impossible to understate[/caption]

The Belgian great, 33, announced on Friday he will leave the Etihad at the end of the season.

De Bruyne joined City from Wolfsburg in 2015 for £55million.

And he has proven to be an all-time legend for City and the Premier League, winning six titles and playing a key role in the famous Treble in 2022-23.

Now the stats show just how important De Bruyne is for City.

According to AskGamblers, De Bruyne has directly contributed to more than two-fifths of City’s Premier League points between 2015-16 and 2023-24 – his nine full seasons in Manchester.

To be precise, the exact figure is 41.9 per cent.

De Bruyne has racked up 70 goals and 118 assists Prem assists for City.

They have led to 328 points – out of City’s total tally of 783 over the time frame.

And the figures work out that the playmaker provides 36.4 points per season.

Interestingly, his bit-part role this season – starting just 12 times in the Premier League – has coincided with City’s poorest campaign in years.

Pep Guardiola’s men will lose their four-year grip on the Prem trophy – and are in a battle to qualify for the Champions League as Liverpool run away from Arsenal at the top.

De Bruyne took to social media with an emotional post to confirm his upcoming exit.

He wrote: “Dear Manchester. Seeing this, you’ll probably realise where this is heading.

“So I’ll get straight to it and let you know that these will be my final months as a Manchester City player.

“Nothing about this is easy to write, but as football players, we all know this day eventually comes.

“That day is here – and you deserve to hear it from me first. Football led me to all of you – and to this city.

“Chasing my dream, not knowing this period would change my life. This city, this club, these people… gave me EVERYTHING.

“I had no choice but to give EVERYTHING back! And guess what – we won EVERYTHING.

“Whether we like it or not, it’s time to say goodbye. Suri Rome, Mason, Michele and I are beyond grateful for what this place has meant to our family.

“Manchester will forever be home on our kids’ passports – and more importantly, in each of our hearts. This will always be our HOME.

“We cannot thank the city, club staff, team-mates, friends and family enough for this ten-year ride.

“Every story comes to an end, but this has definitely been the best chapter.

“Let’s enjoy these last moments together! Much love, KDB.”

There is already plenty of speculation about where De Bruyne will play his football next season.

The MLS is the early most likely option ahead of Saudi Arabia – especially as San Diego confirmed there has been contact with his agent.

She found fame in Nineties pop band All Saints

Mel Blatt found fame in All Saints, a group known for hits including Never Ever and Pure Shores.

Yet her culinary talents have been on display previously, on Celebrity MasterChef‘s 17th season.

She reached the final back in 2022 after impressing with her beef and pancetta pie in the first round, and then sparked a fix row when she lost to Lisa Snowdon.

The pop princess then returned to the show to assist with the judges during a later series.

Now the I Know Where It’s At hitmaker has now clocked up her first shift in her chef’s black apron at north London boozer, The Londesborough, earlier this week.

Mum of one Mel served up in the eatery’s celebrity chef spot, a Tuesday slot she will be taking on in the coming weeks.

On the menu included tasty burger dishes, including a slow cooked beef patty or jerk chicken option, served up with chunky chips and gravy.

A macaroni cheese burger was also a mouth watering option for veggies.

Mel took to her Instagram page to launch her new venture at the pub – as well as her new business brand.

Alongside a series of snaps from her time in the kitchen she wrote: “This was the day I turned 50!

“I spent it cooking for the people I love I thought it was the perfect moment to launch my new business @fullfillingsfood.

“I’ll be at @thelondesborough every Tuesday. Follow the FullFillings page for updates.”

In another upload, showing her with a fresh face and blonde hair tied up in a ponytail she wrote: “Chucking my dignity and vanity in the bin to bring you a day in the life prepping for a Tuesday @fullfillingsfood takeover @thelondesborough.”

FAN FAVE

Mel rose to fame in 1997 as a member of the girl group All Saints along with Nicole and Natalie Appleton and Shaznay Lewis.

During their heyday the group had five number one singles, two multi-platinum albums, two Brit Awards and have sold over 10 million records worldwide.

After four years together, All Saints parted ways in 2001.

In 2013 and 2015, she was a judge on the television series The X Factor NZ.

THE CHEAPEST Wetherspoons pubs across the UK have been revealed, including some where you can get pints for less than a pound.

Known for its cheap drinks, the hospitality giant unveiled its best budget boozers for each region of the UK.

Customers looking for an affordable beer must look no further than the north-east of England, which held the top nine spots for cheap pints in the country.

In all of these pubs, you can grab a pint of Worthington’s Creamflow for the jaw-dropping price of just 99p.

The bargain deal makes it 80 per cent cheaper than the average pint price in the UK, making these locations an absolute steal.

Outside of the north-east, The Full Moon pub in Dudley, West Midlands, is the only other to sell pints for just 99p – again, this is for Worthington’s Creamflow.

Outside of these incredibly cheap areas, we also collated a list of the most affordable pints for each region of the UK.

While there are others included, we hand-picked one for each region to best represent prices.

In Scotland, your cheapest pint can be found at The James Watt in Greenock, which sells a pint of Bud Light for a jaw-dropping £1.29.

For Northern Ireland, you should head to The Central Bar in Carrickfergus to nab a pint of Ruddles ale for just £1.79.

Heading back to the mainland, South Wales is home to the cheapest pint outside of England.

At The Picture House in Ebbw Vale, you can grab a pint of Worthington’s Creamflow for the incredible price of just £1.10.

This is far cheaper than the best offering in North Wales, where you will find yourself spending a whopping 63 per cent more for its cheapest pint.

The Castle Hotel in Ruthin charges a still-reasonable £1.79 for its cheapest pint – Ruddles ale.

New £1.6MILLION Wetherspoons to open next week

A NEW £1.6million Wetherspoons is set to welcome punters next week with a huge 2,100 square foot beer garden.

As the days feels warmer and sunny evenings grow longer, Brits flock to their local boozers – but they may be about to find a new favourite.

The William Dampier pub, in Yeovil, Somerset, will be opening their doors for the first time in three months on Tuesday April 8.

Locals have waited since January to enjoy a drink at the pub after it went under a massive renovation.

The £1.6million refurb is set to boast a 2,100 square foot beer garden, as part of an extension which is also creating 500 square foot of extra space for customers.

Inside, the whole venue has been given a facelift with a new unique carpet as well as updated furniture.

The project will also see 35 full and part-time jobs created at the site.

Pub manager James Currell said: “The £1.6 million investment highlights Wetherspoon’s commitment to the pub and its staff and customers, as well as to Yeovil itself.

“We are delighted that we have also been able to create 35 new jobs for local people.

“The team are looking forward to welcoming customers back into The William Dampier and we’re confident that they will be impressed by the larger beer garden and new-look pub.”

Prices in England are more varied, with the cheapest pint in the North West being found in The Dog Beck in Penrith.

There, you can treat yourself to a pint of Ruddles ale for just £1.29.

Moving further south, prices begin to rise, with the cheapest pint within the M25 being found at The Beehive in Brixton, London.

Pints of Ruddles ale cost just £1.69 at the pub in the capital.

The south-east and south-west of England are similarly priced, allowing you to grab a Greene King IPA pint for just £1.79 at both The Catherine Wheel in Henley-on-Thames and the V-Shed in Bristol respectively.

In the east of England, your best shot at a cheap drink is The Elms in Leigh-on-Sea where lucky punters can grab a pint of Ruddles for a very affordable £1.79.

As expected, the most expensive region on the list was central London and the City.

In this incredibly expensive area, pints are still ridiculously cheap compared to the national average, which recently crept over the £5 mark.

At The Masque Haunt on Old Street in the heart of the city, you can get a pint of Greene King IPA for just £1.99 – that’s cheaper than the cost of a tube fare to get you there.
