1 week agoLatest NewsComments Off on Why you need to book your Spanish summer holiday ASAP: Which? reveals when to book cheapest flights to top holiday spots
EXPERTS have revealed the best time to book your flights this year for a summer holiday, depending on which city you are heading to.
The recent study, conducted by Which?, looked at when the cheapest flights could be found for 22 cities, both short and long haul.
A recent study has found the cheapest Faro flights for the summer holidays can be found just five weeks before travelling[/caption]
Long-haul flights were also included, with the best time to book New York being June for an August break[/caption]
Some destinations are best to book at short notice if wanting to visit during the August summerholidays.
For example, the cheapest deal for Faro in Portugal was found just five weeks before travelling – meaning booking around July.
Similarly, Athens and Budapest were cheapest six weeks out for August, so around late June.
But if wanting to visit some Spanish cities, you will need to be booking much further in advance.
For example, the cheapest flights to Seville were found 25 weeks ahead of travel – so you would need to book your August holiday around March.
Other Spanish destinations you would need to book around May for the best deal include Valencia (12 weeks ahead), Barcelona (13 weeks ahead) and Majorca (13 weeks ahead).
The European destination you’d need to book furthest in advance is Paris, with a huge 26 weeks ahead of August being the cheapest time (so booking by the end of next month).
Other European destination booking times include:
Amsterdam – 15 weeks
Berlin – 24 weeks
Lisbon – 16 weeks
Prague – 19 weeks
Tenerife – 10 weeks
Wanting to go further afield? The best time for a bargain New Yorksummer is when it is booked around June, with a similar time for Bangkok flights.
But if you’re wanting the absolute cheapest flight, you will have to ditch the summer holidays altogether – all but three of the short-haul destinations were found to be the cheapest in January.
Lisbon had the cheapest fares in December, while Nice was cheapest in November and Majorca was cheapest in March.
Naomi Leach, Deputy Editor of Which? Travel, said: “Our research threw up some surprising results and suggests some holidaymakers could save significant sums of money by targeting the right time to book their flights.
“For those looking for a bargain trip, our findings show January is generally the cheapest time to fly short haul, as long as you don’t mind the cold weather.
“It is worth setting up flight alerts with Google Flights or Skyscanner to track the best prices for your desired destination to find the best time to book a great deal.”

1 week agoLatest NewsComments Off on I look exactly like the world’s most beautiful woman – I get tons of attention in Aldi but trolls still say I’m ugly
SCROLLING through the news, Denise Ohnona, 44, was gobsmacked to read that she’s officially the most beautiful woman in the world, but there’s a twist.
Beautiful Denise Ohnona, 44, works as a lookalike for supermodel Kate Moss, 51 (pictured)[/caption]
Denise often gets mistaken for Kate (pictured) when she is out in public[/caption]
Kate has been found to be the most ‘beautiful woman in the world’ thanks to the golden ratio[/caption]
Known as the Divine Proportion, this ancient Greek concept is a natural marvel, appearing everywhere from the blooming petals of flowers to the spiralling shells on the seashore.
Despite having worked as a lookalike for the glamorous supermodel since 2017, Denise admitted she still struggles with self-esteem.
The blonde beauty told Fabulous: “For me, it is so so flattering that I even get to be a lookalike for Kate Moss.
“Personally I’ve never thought I was beautiful.
“I didn’t like how I looked different.
“I had wide set eyes and still to this day I don’t think I’m beautiful.”
Her uncanny resemblance to Kate, who recently starred in the Victoria’s Secret Show, has unsurprisingly caused her to have a lot of attention from men.
Although she is happily engaged to DJ fiance Rob of 11 years, who she met on Match.com, Denise admitted she gets numerous people sliding into her DMs – with some sending X-rated requests.
The proud Liverpudlian continued: “I’m in magazines like TV, doing shows, photo shoots. I might be dressed up at events, mingling with people. I do get propositions a lot.
“I’ve been offered money to go on dates. I think it was like a few thousand [pounds] actually.
The golden ratio, often denoted by the Greek letter φ (phi), is a mathematical ratio that is approximately equal to 1.618.
It has been admired and utilised for centuries due to its aesthetically pleasing properties.
Creative geniuses have used the theory to sculpt, build and paint beautiful works of art throughout history.
Leonardo Da Vinci employed it in his masterpieces the Mona Lisa, Last Supper and the Vitruvian Man.
The Acropolis in Athens, dating to 435BC, also follows the formula.
Known as the Divine Proportion, and originally set out by the ancient Greeks, it is commonly found in nature, from flowers to shells.
Experts say the ratio makes forms visually balanced and unconsciously more pleasing to the eye.
Now cosmetic surgeon Dr Julian De Silva, who is based in London’s Harley Street, has combined the age-old theory with the latest in hi-tech computerised mapping to calculate the symmetry of famous faces.
“I’ve been asked to sell pictures. I’ve been asked to do porn and I was like hell no, never gonna happen.
“It takes a lot of stepping outside that comfort zone to be a lookalike. It’s not easy.
“People think, ‘oh, you live your best life and it’s glamorous’, and it’s not. It’s fun, don’t get me wrong.”
One of the most “bizarre” jobs she did was a shoot in Aldi, and she had numerous shoppers mistake her for the supermodel.
She added: “I had people coming up to me telling me how they’ve been a fan of me the whole life, how their mum was a fan of me, how their mum named them after Kate Moss, and taking photos with me.
“I never felt so bad in my whole life doing that.
“I didn’t even know what I was doing like. I was just told to be at this job for whatever time it was.”

Plastic surgery pressure
While being a doppelganger for a supermodel would be many people’s dream, Denise admitted she sometimes feels the pressure to look a certain way.
Denise insisted that she hasn’t had any work done apart from Botox, but she does sometimes get cruel comments that make her wonder about her looks.
She explained: “Even I have felt pressure to go get things done because someone will say something about you, and then [you think] ‘do I need to fix that?’
“You get hammered as a female for getting older, and I think this is what forces people to do drastic things.
“Kate still looks like herself and I think that is an achievement in itself. She still looks good.”
I’ve been offered money to go on dates. I think it was like a few thousand [pounds] actually
Denise Ohnona
The lookalike, who has racked up 133,000 followers on her @iamnotkatemoss Instagram page, said she takes “so much hate”, but thankfully overall most people are positive.
She shared: “You can get criticised from head to toe about how old you look, or you’re too skinny, or you’re too ugly, or, you know, like you’re sad, you get so much abuse online.
“I’m in a place where I’m fine with that. I can take it, but I think you’ve got to be thick skinned to put yourself out there as a lookalike, because someone will have something to say.
“But the majority are really cute and nice and supportive.”
Denise (pictured) said being a lookalike has opened up numerous doors for her, and she gets to attend red carpet events[/caption]
Denise praised Kate (pictured) for not altering her looks too much over the years[/caption]
Bullied at school
Despite the accolade of looking nearly identical to the “most beautiful woman in the world”, Denise admitted that she was “shy” in school and people teased her for her unusual features.
She added: “I didn’t really enjoy school. I was very shy and not confident. Never felt pretty at all.
For me, it is so so flattering that I even get to be a lookalike for Kate Moss. Personally I’ve never thought I was beautiful
Denise Ohnona
“I used to get laughed at and there was one guy – and it always stuck with me – I got called Kettle Face, and I never understood why.
“People used to say, I look weird because my eyes were really far apart.
“But you know Kate has the same wide, set eyes, and the high cheekbones, and that wasn’t normal.”
Kate Moss' model history
SHE has been a magazine cover girl and striding the world’s catwalks for decades.
Spotted at 14 and from Croydon, South London, she is without a doubt one of the most famous beauties in the world.
Little did she know then, but that was the first of more than 40 (and still counting) British Vogue covers to come.
No one has come close to that figure.
Kate first appeared in a Rimmel cosmetics campaign in 2001. “Get the London look” is one of the most renowned advertising taglines of all time, thanks to Kate.
Around this time she started dating publisher Jefferson Hack after he interviewed her for the magazine he co founded, Dazed & Confused.
The pair had a whirlwind romance and had their daughter Lila Grace a year later.
They broke up in 2004 but are still close today.
She went on to date the former Libertines frontman, drug-taking Pete Doherty, after meeting him at her 31st birthday party.
The star has been modelling less and less in recent years, choosing instead to launch business ventures which put her behind the camera.
She has also reinvented herself as an unlikely health guru, swapping champagne and cigarettes for gardening at her home in the Oxfordshire countryside.
Thankfully she’s had the last laugh, as working as a Kate Moss double has opened up numerous doors for the stylish mum, and seen her jet around the world for photoshoots and promotional gigs.
She explained: “I’ve had some fabulous experiences where I’m like ‘is this how the other half live?’
“I’ve experienced some of the most wonderful places and treatments, and Michelin Star dinners and things that I would never get to do as me, because I’m quite a basic stripped-down human being in my own life.”
Denise (pictured) said most people are positive on social media but she does experience some trolls[/caption]
However, Denise’s lookalike job, which she does full-time, allegedly hasn’t gone down too well Kate Moss herself, who she says she’s never met.
Denise explained: “I’ve had a slight indication, well, it was one of her friends actually messaged me, and it kind of indicated that they don’t find it funny, and they’re not happy with it.
“So I was like, ‘oh, I’m really disappointed to hear that.’”
The mum added: “I never wanna step on her toes or do anything to upset her.
“I mean, lookalikes is an industry. It goes back a long time, and it’s like it’s a job to me.
You get hammered as a female for getting older, and I think this is what forces people to do drastic things
Denise Ohnona
“I’m not trying to be famous or rich and I never am going to be. It’s just a job.
“So I was hoping Kate would be quite fun about it.
“It’s cool to have a doppelganger. I think everyone’s got one.
“And I never see myself as Kate – she’s like a whole other iconic supermodel level – I just happen to resemble [her] a little bit.
“It’s given me opportunities that for years I wouldn’t take but then I’m glad that I did, because it’s helped me as a person. I’m definitely more confident.”
Denise (pictured) said she is ‘flattered’ to resemble the iconic supermodel[/caption]

Love life confessions
One person who loves the Kate comparison is partner Rob.
She added: “He finds me really attractive and sexy, and I think he thinks it’s cool. He does laugh a bit because we’re out and people will go ‘oh my god’.
“I think he’s quite entertained by it.”
Denise continued: “I get compliments constantly from him, even 11 years later. He still fancies me like a lot.
“Sometimes he’ll make jokes about dating me and Kate at the same time and stuff, and I’m like ‘shut up.’
“I do wonder if I was ever single, I wouldn’t want to go out with someone who was a Kate Moss fan, it would be far too weird.”
Denise (pictured) has been flown around the world for her lookalike gigs[/caption]
Public reaction
Despite her kids being “not interested” and “embarrassed” by Denise’s Kate modelling, she often gets members of the public coming up to her and telling her she looks “stunning”, or mistaking her for Kate.
She added: “I have people coming up to me telling me how they’ve been a fan of me the whole life, how their mum was a fan of me, how their mum named them after Kate Moss, and taking photos with me.”
While a lot of her life is flying to gigs or walking in catwalk shows, Denise admitted she doesn’t always look glamorous like she did in a recent Vogue shoot, especially when she’s running errands or in the gym.
The model double explained: “It’s a separate world, if you saw me at home you’d crack up.”
Denise (pictured) claims Kate isn’t too fond of her being a lookalike but she tries to be ‘respectful’[/caption]
Lookalike career
Denise became a Kate lookalike when she was 37 and a stay-at-home mum raising her two kids, Elise, 14, and Anais, nine.
She added: “I’ve not long had my baby so before that I spent 10 years doing telecommunications.
“I went on a night out with a friend, and there was a photo taken of me, and somehow that ended up with my now agent Andy.”
Kate (pictured) dazzled fans appearing in the Victoria’s Secret Fashion show in 2024[/caption]
Thankfully for her lookalike gigs, Denise thinks that she looks more and more like Kate as the years go on.
She shared: “ As I get older I look more and more like Kate or maybe she looks more like me I don’t know which
“It kind of brought me out of my shell and just like gave me like a lot more confidence to step out comfort zone and do things that because you never know what you’re going to do as a lookalike
“I think every decade that goes by, Kate doesn’t disappoint.
“She just keeps coming back, and she doesn’t disappoint. I think she’s done really well.”
1 week agoLatest NewsComments Off on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain keen on return to England with two relegation-battling Premier League clubs interested
FORMER Liverpool and England star Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is keen on a return to England, SunSports understands.
The 31-year-old has endured a frustrating season in Turkey with chances limited at Besiktas.
His return of one goal and six appearances is well below what he would have wanted at this stage of the campaign.
Reports in Turkey suggest the club’s new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to give the talented midfielder a chance, handing him just his second start on Sunday.
But Oxlade-Chamberlain, linked with Brentford last year, is attracted by the idea of heading back to the Premier League – where there is interest in the player.
Leicester and Wolves are both monitoring his availability ahead of the transfer window closing next Monday.
They believe his versatility and top-flight experience could be a vital addition to their squad as they battle the drop.
And Leeds in the Championship are also believed to be keen on the player if he becomes available.
The Yorkshire club think he could add the quality required to take them back into the Premier League.
Besiktas are likely to allow the 35-cap Three Lions international to leave on loan with a view to a permanent switch if the move works out.

If he joins the Blades, Oxlade-Chamberlain will play alongside former Liverpool team-mate Brewster, the 24-year-old striker who started his professional career with the Reds.
The pair were both part of the Liverpool squad that won the Champions League in 2019.
Oxlade-Chamberlain made 146 appearances during a six-year spell with Liverpool, during which the team won five trophies – including the Premier League and Champions League.
He joined Besiktas in August 2023 following his Anfield release and helped the team win the Turkish Cup last term.
Speaking in April, she said: “I have to be honest – I’m not going to sugarcoat it – it’s blooming hard . . . it’s really hard. I’m struggling a bit with the Turkey situation.
“When he played for Arsenal it was great because he was just down the road. Liverpool, Manchester, not that bad, but Turkey!
“Turkey is a little bit further and the thing is they are so busy. They train every day practically.
“But do you know what? We make it work, because we make it work for the ones we love.
“So it’s fun, it’s exciting. It still keeps it fresh, I think.”
