TV legend reveals disgusting act performed with FA Cup trophy as he says ‘more than one player has told me…’
EAMONN HOLMES has shockingly claimed footballers have told him the FA Cup has been used as “a receptacle for urine”.
The TV legend, 65, was reacting to tennis ace Aryna Sabalenka‘s “disrespectful” antics following her Australian Open final defeat on Saturday.
The Belarusian, 26, and her team, including boyfriend Geogios Frangulis appeared to pretend to urinate over the runners-up trophy.
That came after her shocking meltdown following defeat to Madison Keys in Melbourne.
Reflecting on the odd video, Holmes shockingly told GB News: “I know for a fact the FA Cup is often used as a receptacle for urine.
“Players have told me. More than one player over the years has told me that.”
Holmes failed to elaborate on the disturbing claims, including who told him and when it’s believed to have happened.
Meanwhile, fans have torn into Sabalenka for her behaviour on Saturday.
The world No1 was chasing a third straight Australian Open when she fell to defeat to surprise package, Keys.
The American became a major winner for the first time with a 6-3 2-6 7-5 victory in Melbourne, in her first Grand Slam final since her 2017 US Open loss.

And while Keys celebrated with her family in the stands, Sabalenka smashed her racquet in a fit of rage in front of the 15,000-strong crowd.
She then slumped onto her chair and hid her face under a towel.
After receiving her runners-up trophy, Sabalenka exited the court and was spotted on camera with her team appearing to mock-urinate on it.
One viewer took to X to moan: “What a disgusting and disrespectful action. They deserve an explanation and public apology for this terrible gestures.”
Another posted: “OK, that’s way too much… never seen something more disrespectful in tennis.”
Reflecting on her loss, Sabalenka herself said: “I think when you get to the point of finals, it’s trophy or nothing. Nobody remembers the finalist, you know?
“Should I say anything to my team? As always, that’s your fault guys. I don’t wanna see you for the next week. I really hate you.
“No, thank you so much for everything you do for me, blah blah blah.”

HOLLYWOOD film star David Moscow looks very different as he was seen on a rare outing in Los Angeles this week.
The 50-year-old actor is best known for starring in Tom Hanks’ classic movie Big, as a young Josh Baskin.
David was seen spotted enjoying a run in Brentwood, California.
He wore a Adidas grey t-shirt and a pair of matching gym shorts with blue and grey trainers.
The movie star was seen working up a sweat during an early morning jog, before slowing down for a stroll.
David played the a 12-year-old Josh in the hit movie Big, which was released back in 1988.
After a wish turns a young Josh into a 30-year-old man (Tom Hanks), he heads to New York City and gets a job at MacMillen Toy Company.
A chance encounter with the owner (Robert Loggia) of the company leads to a promotion testing new toys.
Soon a fellow employee, Susan Lawrence (Elizabeth Perkins), takes a romantic interest in Josh.
However, the pressure of living as an adult begins to overwhelm him, and he longs to return to his simple, former life as a boy.
David previously opened up about his fond memories of working with Hollywood icon Tom.
“He’s not pretentious,” David told PEOPLE of Castaway star Tom.
“There’s no pretension about him at all. He would come to work in a backpack and take the subway.
“He was a big kid. He was super playful, [and] very fun.
“There was no treating me as a kid. He just treated himself as a kid.”
He added that Tom fully immersed himself in the role and took on the “quirky things about being a kid”.
David also landed the role of David Jacobs in the 1992 musical film Newsies, alongside Christian Bale.
While he also bagged the leading role opposite Jessica Alba in the film Honey.
Fans will also recognise David from TV series Zoe, Duncan, Jack and Jane, plus he also featured on series Seinfeld as Lomez Jr.
David, who married wife Karen Riotoc in 2014, will be back for their fifth series of Tastemade’s From Scratch, which returns to screen in April.
They will be visiting Kansas City, Denmark and Sweden to make meals from scratch while learning about “the planet’s complex and interconnected food supply”.

SIGNING up Ronnie Vint’s ex Harriett Blackmore to All Stars should have been a series highlight for Love Island – but it fell flat.
The brunette bombshell confidently arrived during a kissing challenge – and, as expected, turned Ronnie’s head instantly.
It ended his two-week romance with Towie’s Elma Pazar on the spot as he confessed he was “in love” with his ex and wanted to win her back.
It sound like the makings of an entertaining love triangle, but instead threatens to kill off the show – and that’s because fans are convinced Ron and Harriett plotted this storyline.
Just weeks before entering the villa for a second time, Ron had sent roses to Harriett for Christmas – signing off the card “love you”.
If she wasn’t on board with the fake break up, surely Harriett would be furious that her ex was in Love Island while trying to get back with her?
Instead, the pair struggled to even pretend they weren’t totally fixated on each other.
Harriett weakly claimed she wouldn’t be kissing him all series as he tenderly caressed her legs on the day bed.
But just one episode later, the pair pucker up in a first look at tonight’s show.
It’s after Harriett was pied by Ron Hall who she picked, apparently, to keep Ronnie on his toes.
Ronnie and Harriett have done such a bad job at pretending they weren’t planning to reunite all along that it’s pointed out what’s wrong with the format.
Yes, All Stars is bound to have a mix of exes in the villa prepared to offer some frosty atmospheres or exciting second chances.
But Love Island should ban serious couples like Harriett and Ronnie – who left the last series together – from being on the show.
Fans don’t want to feel like they’re being hoodwinked.
They want to see true love blossom – just like what happened between winners Tom Clare and Molly Smith on last year’s All Stars.
It’s Elma I feel sorry for in all this.
You could tell she really liked Ronnie and went against her instincts to give it a go with the self-nicknamed ‘Turbo Ronnie’.
From the off they had natural chemistry with their fun sense of humour – but it was all in vain.
Despite being on a dating show, Ronnie’s head was still firmly with his ex who just happened to arrive two weeks later.
Now Elma – someone who fans are rooting for to find love – has been left single and at risk of being dumped.
Meanwhile Ronnie and Harriett are preparing to cash in on future opportunities as a couple with brand deals and photo shoots.
From a show that has genuinely produced some true love stories – it was a predictably disappointing move.

New English campsite with adult-only huts is just five minutes from the beach
A NEW campsite on the edge of the Lake District is minutes away from a huge beach – and don’t expect to see many kids running around either.
The luxury shepherd’s hut in the countryside offers a peaceful escape because it’s adults-only.
Found in Cumbria, the tiny campsite is on a working farm with cows, sheep, horses and chickens.
The panelled hut might be small and cosy, but still has a king-size bed and ensuite bathroom as well as a fully equipped kitchen and living area.
Outside, you’ll find a wood-fired hot tub, firepit and griddle.
If you’re more of an animal-lover, you’re in luck – the website reads: “Although kids aren’t allowed here, dogs are very welcome.”
A five-minute walk away from the hut is the village of Dunnerholme, which has a sandy beach perfect for swimming.
Around the corner is the Dunnerholme Golf Club which someone praised as a “10 hole golf course with bags of character”.
They were particularly impressed with the “spectacular view, with impressive Lake District hills as the main backdrop”.
Dunnerholme is also home to some historic landmarks, including a 12th-century castle.
The town of Ulverston is also a short drive away, where you’ll find a historic bobbin mill and lighthouse.
In the woods is an internationally renowned meditation centre where you can enjoy a 15-minute guided meditation for free.
We found that Ulverston also has a pub, The Stan Laurel, dedicated to Laurel and Hardy.
The traditional inn is filled with Laurel and Hardy memorabilia, as well as real ales and home-cooked meals.
Ulverston also has a drive-through ice cream parlour and lots of summer festivals.
Sandscale Haws Nature Reserve is around the corner too and is home to rare plants, butterflies and wildflowers.
It’s a great place for beachcombing and birdwatching too.
Nearby is the charming village of Coniston – which has royal ties as Kate Middleton used to go there on family holidays.
The lake, Coniston Water, is where you can either hop on a motor boat or try your hand at kayaking and paddle boarding.
For those who aren’t a fan of water there are also electric and pedal bikes for hire around Coniston and lots of routes to explore.
Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway is less than half an hour away, and you can climb aboard a steam train.
A single adult fare is just £12, and train tickets can also be bought with attractions to the Lakes Aquarium, boat trips to both Bowness and Ambleside, and The World of Beatrix Potter.
For anyone after adventure, there’s also Grizedale Forest where you’ll find mountain bike trails and a Go Ape course.

Elon Musk addresses TIME-TRAVELLER rumours as he breaks silence on eerie Mars ‘prediction’ in obscure 1950s science book
ELON Musk has broken his silence on rumours that he is a time-traveller sparked by an eerier prediction from the 1950s.
Musk, 53, finally addressed the prophecy about him colonising Mars made by an obscure 1953 science book.
The mystery stems from a sci-fi novel called “Project Mars” written by a famous German rocket scientist, Werner von Braun.
In the book, von Braun predicts that humanity will colonise Mars and the leader of the planet will be called “Elon”.
Believing it was just a coincidence made in the translation process, a curious reader even dug out the original German manuscript – only to discover that von Braun did indeed name the Mars leader as Elon.
Musk was clearly spooked out by the uncanny connection as he took to X to ask: “How can this be real?”
He also joked: “No matter how often I tell people that I’m a 5000-year-old alien time traveler, they don’t believe me.”
One passage in the book imagines the government that would be set up to run Mars as humans established themselves on the Red Planet.
Von Braun wrote: “The Martian government was directed by ten men, the leader of whom was elected by universal suffrage for five years and entitled ‘Elon’.
“Two houses of parliament enacted the laws to be administered by the Elon and his cabinet.”
Musk is well-known for his ambitions to help humans settle on Mars with his SpaeX rocket technology.
In 2021 he tweeted: “Make humanity a multi-planet species!”
Earlier this month, the billionaire ruled out returning to the moon before our neighboring plant: “No, we’re going straight to Mars. The Moon is a distraction.”
Then President Trump, in his inauguration speech last week, said America would “pursue our manifest destiny into the stars” and “plant the Stars and Stripes on the planet Mars”.
And these plans are popular with the public.
A 2023 poll found that 57 percent of Americans favored sending astronauts to Mars, which is a much higher rating than some of his other executive orders, such as the Jan 6 pardons.
Musk has formed a close bond with the new President and holds a position in his government as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), so any Mars-based plans are bound to involve him.
Von Braun was one of the most influential scientists of the 20th century and a key figure in the development of rocket technology in Nazi Germany.
Following World War 2, he was secretly moved to the United States and became a pioneer of space technology for Nasa.
Project Mars may have been science fiction, but it included scientific calculations for how humans might travel to Mars.
This is not the first time people have picked up on the uncanny connection between the book and the billionaire.
In 2020, one X user wrote: “Speaking about destiny, did you know that Von Braun’s 1953 book “Mars Project” reference a person named Elon that would bring humans to Mars? Pretty nuts.”
This is the first time that Musk has broken his silence about the time-traveller label, however.

A BBC presenter has sadly died after nearly 30 years on air.
Andy Ball worked on BBC Merseyside for nearly 30 years as a reporter and presenter.
In a statement today, BBC Merseyside said: “We’re sad to have to tell you that our friend and Colleague Andy Ball has passed away.
“Andy worked for BBC Merseyside for nearly 30 years as a Presenter, reporter and part of the management team.
“He loved the river and enjoyed nothing more than getting out into the communities right across the whole of Merseyside.
“We will miss him dearly and send all our love and condolences to his wife Lynn and family.”
Andy had been host of the BBC Radio Merseyside breakfast show up until 2005.
