Top TV star returning to Latitude Festival this year – a decade after wowing the crowds
A TOP TV star returning to Latitude Festival this year, a decade after first wowing the crowds.
He is best known for his musical shows that he fronts across BBC One and BBC Two.

Gareth Malone, 49, is beloved for inspiring new talent across the country on shows like The Choir and all the spin-offs.
He has fronted dozens of shows for the publicly funded state broadcaster and appeared in programmes on Channel 4 and ITV.
He was previously involved in organising a choir of 150 festival-goers and he performed with them on the main stage in 2015.
The TV personality also appeared on the BBC Radio 4 show, Loose Ends, which was recorded at Latitude on the BBC Introducing stage.
Now, Gareth has exclusively revealed to TV Mag that he’s set to return to the annual arts festival at Henham Park this year.
“I’m always, you know, I’m doing lots of performing, touring,” he explained.
“I’m really enjoying performing live where I’m doing latitude. This hasn’t been announced.
“Nice, yeah, doing latitude this year”.
He added: “So just kind of getting out there, just doing like being me, doing like being a musician, like practising the piano.”
Away from the gigs, we asked Gareth what his next TV project would be.
He told us that he doesn’t have one he can reveal yet, but he is open to exploring more opportunities.
Gareth admitted: “I don’t have one at the moment. So you can put that at the end, ‘Gareth is available for work.’
“I mean, there’s always, you know, that’s a lot. That’s the great thing about my job. But also the weird thing there’s, you finish one project.
“And I said, what’s next? I’m hoping to do something similar to this next year.”
I’m really enjoying performing live where I’m doing latitude. This hasn’t been announced.
Gareth Malone
Back in 2022, Gareth left fans in complete shock when he was revealed to be competing in The Masked Dancer.
The judges guessed the true identity belonged to various McFly members, but the choirmaster left the studio in awe when he was the fourth star to be eliminated.

Louis Tomlinson parties at Coachella as Zara McDermott shops in Beverly Hills days after confirming romance
ZARA McDermott really is living her best life and was spotted shopping in Beverly Hills, as her new love Louis Tomlinson partied at Coachella.
It comes just days after Zara, 28, confirmed her relationship with 1D hunk Louis, 33, on Instagram for the first time after The Sun revealed they were dating.

Earlier this week, the new couple revealed they’d jetted off on holiday
Zara – who only recently split up from long term love Sam Thompson – then shared a glimpse of Louis with fans as they enjoyed breakfast together in Malibu, California.
While Louis’ face was not visible, his arm could be seen in the background of the shot.
His signature cross tattoo was clearly on display along with a distinct mole just above it.
But it looks like Louis flew the love nest yesterday to party at Coachella.
The One Direction star was spotted enjoying himself at the star-studded festival, while his new girlfriend shopped in posh Beverly Hills.
The former Love Island star looked in her element as she browsed the expensive stores.
NEW LOVE
The new couple have yet to post a photo showing their faces together, but the soft launch suggests they’re relationship is going from strength to strength.
However, there have been more clues they are dating as the pair both posted videos from a Stereophonics gig at The Wiltern theatre in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
They shared near-identical clips from the same spot inside the venue.
It came after Zara tagged the band and venue in her post, while Louis shared his own video from what looked like the exact same view, just minutes later.
SECRET DATE
The Sun were the first to break the news they were dating, weeks after Zara’s shock split from I’m A Celeb winner Sam Thompson.
Last month, Louis and Zara were spotted on a cosy dinner date at The Suffolk in Aldeburgh, after a fellow diner secretly snapped the pair together.
And it seems things have moved fast since then, with insiders claiming Louis, who sold more than 70million records worldwide with One Direction, has already introduced Zara to his family.

FA Cup to keep hated rule next season despite pleas by Gary Lineker and Alan Shearer to change it after Man Utd clash
FA CUP fixtures next season will include extra time – despite calls for them to follow the Carabao Cup’s suit.
The EFL scrapped extra time in the Carabao Cup in 2018, with all fixtures – barring the final – being decided by a penalty shootout in the event of a stalemate.

But FA chiefs, according to The Times, aren’t planning to follow suit.
That’s despite their recent scrapping of replays, which used to be huge money-spinners for lower league clubs.
The decision to axe replays was widely condemned, with many believing it was made to cater to Premier League clubs’ fixture schedules.
Lower league sides are at a clear disadvantage in terms of squad depth and fitness levels when games go to extra time.
That fact couldn’t be more apparent when non-League Tamworth Town took Tottenham Hotspur the full 90 minutes in their third-round tie in January.
The Lambs did extraordinarily well to hold Spurs to a 0-0 draw but conceded three goals in extra-time against the much fitter Premier League side.
Extra time that day cruelly denied Tamworth a huge payday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The money generated from a replay would’ve been invaluable to The Lambs.

Getting rid of extra time and going straight to penalties would somewhat level the playing field between lower league clubs and teams in the top-flight.
Additionally, it would go some way to helping tackle the issue of player fatigue.
Several high-profile figures are keen on scrapping extra time in FA Cup matches, including Gary Lineker.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, he said: “We’ve argued many times, just get rid of extra time. Just go to penalties. It makes so much sense.
“Particularly with the amount of football teams are playing now, the amount of injuries we’re getting. Just play 90 minutes, then settle it on penalties.
“Because once it goes to extra time, the vast majority of us are thinking, particularly when it’s as bad as it was last night [Man Utd vs Fulham], you’re just thinking, ‘Come on, penalty shootout, a bit of excitement.'”
Co-host Alan Shearer was in full agreement, saying: “Straight to penalties, I’m all for that.”
Shock moment two mums brawl & pull each other’s hair after row between their kids – before schoolboy had to break it up
THIS is the shocking moment two school mums launched into a vicious hair-pulling brawl – before a schoolboy was forced to get between them.
Wild CCTV footage captured at a doorstep in Perth shows the women grappling, shoving and yanking at each other’s hair to the ground, while a phone and pair of glasses go flying.

The chaos unfolded in November at one of the mums Melissa’s home in The Vines.
It was sparked by a dispute between their children – both students at Aveley Secondary College in Ellenbrook.
In the video, one woman bursts out of the front door as someone tries to hold her back, only for the scuffle to escalate.
The pair briefly separate, but tensions boil over again until a boy steps in to break it up.
Melissa told Australian outlet 9News: “It was frightening, shocking.
“It was confronting, especially at your own home.”
She said she was left with facial injuries and had chunks of her hair torn out.
The other mum involved did not want to speak on camera to 9News but claimed she was attacked first.
It’s understood she was working at a nearby public school at the time.
The Department of Education said it treats any allegation of inappropriate staff behaviour “very seriously.”
An investigation is now under way, with the incident raising fresh concerns about school-linked violence spilling into the community.
Aveley Secondary College emailed parents on Friday, warning it will take strong action against any aggression – including suspensions and exclusions.
Students were also put on notice over bad behaviour outside school hours and off-campus.
The violent brawl follows a spate of shocking incidents involving the school.
Last week, a 14-year-old boy was left with a broken jaw after being coward-punched at a shopping centre.
Last June, another teen from the college lost his front teeth in a toilet block bashing after classmates wrongly believed he was hiding a vape, which turned out to be a chocolate bar.
A 15-year-old has since been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and has pleaded not guilty.
WA Minister for Education Sabine Winton told 9News: “Any incident of violence is concerning to me and let’s be clear – our government has a zero tolerance towards violence no matter where it is.
“I’m very confident that supports are being put in place to support those schools.”
It comes after machete-wielding thugs fought in a vicious street brawl outside a night club.
Four people were arrested and two were injured following the incident at Tabu nightclub on Dover Street in Mayfair, London.
Cops arrested one man at the scene in the early hours of Sunday morning and then detained another three men in Hertfordshire later in the night.
Meanwhile, thugs armed with foot-long machetes fought on a tube station platform in full view of terrified commuters.

Apple fans discover hidden button that turns gadget into a ‘walkie talkie’ – and it’s even ‘faster than calling’
APPLE Watch users are uncovering a hidden feature that lets them chat in real time without calling or texting.
The “Walkie-Talkie” function, which many didn’t even know existed, allows for instant communication.

This surprising feature was rediscovered by TikTok user @_naniceex, who posted a video showing herself chatting with a friend through the app.
The video quickly went viral, racking up over 231,000 views.
In the clip, the user and her friend have a quick conversation about her outfit, with replies popping up almost instantly.
She wrote: “Apple watch did its thing with this tho,” calling it “faster than calling.”
The feature, which is built into the Apple Watch, has been around since 2018 but still baffles many users who were unaware it even existed.
Some were amazed, commenting they would have bought an Apple Watch years ago if they had known about the walkie-talkie feature.
Others joked about using it just to say “over” after every sentence, just like a real walkie-talkie.
Apple first introduced the Walkie-Talkie function in June 2018, allowing users to send instant voice messages with the push of a button.
While the feature was briefly removed in 2019 due to a security vulnerability, it was restored and is now available for most Apple Watch models running watch OS 5.5 or later.
To use it, you need an Apple Watch Series 1 or newer, and both you and the person you’re communicating with must have Apple Watches.
Once you’ve added a contact through the Walkie-Talkie app, you can simply press a button to start chatting—no phone calls required.
You don’t need to be close by for it to work, as long as you both have internet or cellular connection.
How to Get Started with Walkie-Talkie
- Open the Walkie-Talkie app on your Apple Watch.
- Scroll through your contacts and tap on a name to send an invitation.
- Once the invitation is accepted, the contact’s name will turn yellow, indicating they’re ready to talk.
When the feature isn’t in use, it’s important to turn it off to avoid unexpected interruptions.
To disable it, either open the app and slide the Walkie-Talkie button to “off” or go to the Control Center by pressing the side button and tapping the Walkie-Talkie icon.

The super-fit Gladiators partners who could give even Giant a run for his money – from a supercar buff to business gurus
THEY’VE conquered The Wall, pushed through Powerball and dodged humiliation on the dreaded Duel platform.
However, many of today’s crop of fearsome Gladiators are really big softies at heart and have given fans glimpses into their romantic lives away from the bright lights of the rebooted BBC hit.

From surprise proposals and whirlwind romances to long-time loves quietly cheering from the sidelines, our favourite TV warriors are proving they’re not just strong in the gym — but solid in love too.
And these days, the Gladiators WAGs and HABs (husbands and boyfriends, of course) are a seriously impressive bunch.
We’re talking fitness moguls, red carpet regulars and even fellow athletes who could give the stars themselves a run for their money.
While some are happily flashing their relationships all over Instagram, others have kept things a little more under wraps.
Ahead of the Gladiators final this weekend, we look into the couples who have proved a winning team outside of the show.
Nitro (Harry Aikines-Aryeetey)
Harry Aikines-Aryeetey, known as Nitro, married Lauren Cooper in October 2019.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Aubree-Isla, in September 2020.
Harry, 36, has spoken about the importance of enjoying some downtime away from the public eye.
In an interview, he said: “I think it’s really important to have that little difference. It’s important to have that moment of downtime, not to have a camera in my face and also my child might not want to be an influencer.
“She gets involved in some of my videos, which is quite funny. I cook with her and we play games together.

“There are some interesting points about being a parent, you want to keep those things private because it’s your journey and it’s how you’re going along with it.”
Before Gladiators, Harry, who is a sprinter, was an Olympian for Team Great Britain and competed at the Rio Games in 2016.
He has also won medals in World and European Championships.
Legend (Matt Morsia)

Matt Morsia, who takes on the persona of Legend, lives in Hythe, Kent, with wife Sarah and their two sons, Luca and Mauro.
Matt, 39, transitioned from being a PE teacher to a renowned fitness influencer, amassing over two million subscribers on YouTube.
Last year, Sarah terrifyingly revealed that Mauro almost drowned in a bath after suffering a seizure due to a fever caused by chicken pox.
She said: “The first seizure happened when he was in the bath and within moments he was face down under the water and jerking uncontrollably.
“Luckily I was sitting next to the bath and was able to pick him straight up and call Matt to help but it makes me feel sick to think of what might’ve happened.
“I wouldn’t usually share stuff like this but it’s easy to quickly put the socks in the wash or grab some pyjamas while the kids are in the bath but basically don’t… defo not worth the risk!”
Comet (Ella-Mae Rayner)

Ella-Mae Rayner, 29, better known as Comet, has been in a relationship with fitness entrepreneur James Exton, 36, for the past three years.
James is the co-founder of LDN Muscle, a prominent fitness and personal training business. The firm, which he set up with his twin brother, is said to be worth over £1million.
Although James trained as a barrister, he put that on pause to focus on his business ventures.
On his website, he states: “My work is extremely diverse, also working to mentor and empower inmates in London prisons, training and coaching other PTs as well as mentoring countless individuals 1-2-1.
“This is where I focus my energy, expertise and passion.”
The couple often shares glimpses of their active lifestyle on social media, highlighting their mutual passion for health and fitness.
On his Instagram, Jack can be seen posing with several luxury cars including a Range Rover, a Mercedes, and a Porsche.
In one post, he told his 115,000 followers that this year, he is looking to add more supercars and superbikes to his collection of vehicles.
Diamond (Livi Sheldon)

Livi Sheldon, known as Diamond on the show, is in a relationship with Grant Gibbs, a fellow gym enthusiast, who looks like he wouldn’t be out of place standing next to the rest of the Gladiators cast.
The 30-year-old’s social media has snapshots of their adventures, from workouts at the gym to romantic dinners.
Grant is a personal trainer who boasts of having “helped 100s of Men over 30 shed 20-30 lbs & build muscle using simple habits & routines”.
Livi’s journey hasn’t been without challenges. She has openly discussed being bullied for her height during her school years, an experience that led her to find strength in sports and bodybuilding.
Giant (Jamie Christian-Johal)

Towering Jamie Christian-Johal, 39, aptly named Giant, is married to Katie Christian.
The couple live in Derbyshire, where Katie plays a supportive role in Jamie’s demanding fitness regime.
In a candid YouTube video titled “I’m back! Full Day In The Life,” Jamie showcased his daily routine, highlighting Katie’s contributions, including meal preparations to support his 6,400-calorie diet.
Katie herself is an entrepreneur – she owns a business known as The Hormone Healer.
Hammer (Tom Wilson)

Tom Wilson, known as Hammer, is engaged to Chelsea Atkin.
Nearly two years ago, Tom, 32, proposed in a heartfelt moment he described as the “best day ever”.
Sharing their joy on Instagram, Tom posted photos and a video of the proposal, captioning it “@chelatkin engaged to my love”, accompanied by a heart emoji.
Chelsea responded gushingly, commenting: “I’ll never be over it.”

‘It’s disgusting’ – Nathan Aspinall slams attacks on darts rival but admits that ‘a lot of my mates can’t stand him’
NATHAN ASPINALL has no idea why people he knows dislike darts world No.1 Luke Humphries with a passion.
Cool Hand Luke has won seven PDC premier events since October 2023, including the world title in January 2024, and is known for making time to meet fans at exhibitions.

Yet for some reason – maybe because he is a big Leeds United fan and there is growing tribalism within darts crowds – he gets booed and jeered during his Premier League appearances.
Maybe it is because of his respectful rivalry with teenaged superstar Luke Littler, who is adored across the country.
Aspinall, 33, does not understand all the negativity and recent abuse on social media, saying: “The stuff he got last week online was absolutely disgusting. Disgusting. He’s an absolute credit to this sport.
“Humphries is one of the nicest men I have ever met in my life, forget about darts”.
The Stockport thrower, who is a crowd favourite himself, said: “Luke is a great role model for darts.
“I have a lot of mates that love darts and no-one likes Luke. They can’t stand him.
“I don’t know what it is. Maybe it’s jealousy because he’s so good. It grates me.
“Two lads, who came away with me last week in Berlin, hate Luke Humphries.

“We had a couple of beers in the hotel afterwards and they went to him: ‘I need to apologise Luke, I didn’t like you, but you are a great lad.’
“People don’t know the real people. I get a lot of stick. I know I’m an absolute idiot. I’m like Basil Brush sometimes. Boom, Boom!
“I don’t understand it and hopefully it will change as he is a great guy.”
This month, Berkshire-born Humphries, 30, admitted he is in a bad place mentally and needs a break as he struggles to cope with the congested darts calendar.
Burnout is a real issue in the sport and as the sport’s highest ranked star, he is expected to play in every event.
Humphries said: “I feel like my emotions are just all over the place. It’s not that I don’t want to be here — it just seems a chore for me at the moment.”
Aspinall, who faces Gerwyn Price in Thursday’s Premier League in Rotterdam, added: “People just think we teleport from place to place.
“People only see the games we play on TV. Like the Premier League, World Matchplay. But we also play ProTours in-between that.
“Don’t do exhibitions, people say – we’re doing that for our fans. We are doing 20-25 days a month away from home. It is tough.”

I’m a mum-of-three – trolls slam me for living in a ‘shoe box’ lodge – but it’s cheap, there’s a park & a swimming pool
A MUM-OF-THREE has hit back at trolls who criticise her for living in a ‘shoe box’ lodge.
Nikki, who is part of a family of five, has revealed what it’s really like, addressing many people’s misconceptions about her lifestyle.

She explained that some people assume she has to wash all the clothes by hand, while others believe she doesn’t have a washing line.
The mum has also faced comments claiming it is “unfair” for her children because she has “no grass.”
This led Nikki to share a video on her TikTok account, @nikkin1988, which has 16.7K followers, explaining exactly how she lives.
Nikki explained that she has a washing machine inside her lodge and even has two washing lines – not just one.
She also highlighted that where her lodge is situated, there is a park and a swimming pool for the kids to play in.
Hitting back at people who say she lives in a “shoebox with three kids,” Nikki revealed that her family of five think it is “perfectly fine.”
She also revealed that they have two parking spaces for their cars and even have two bathrooms in the lodge – one with a bath and an ensuite with a shower.
Nikki also addressed comments from people who have called her and her family “benefit bums living in a caravan.”
She clarified that both she and her husband have full-time jobs and neither of them are on benefits.
She added: “Even if we were on benefits, that’s absolutely fine because some people can’t work.”
Nikki also responded to those who say they “wouldn’t like to live too close to people,” by pointing out that her lodge is detached.
She finished the video by saying: “We absolutely love living in a lodge.”
After three days of uploading her video, Nikki gained 350k views, with 1,310 people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One person asked: “What happens in the two months you can’t stay there?”

Nikki replied: “You have to move out.”
A second added: “We live in a lodge too, love it. Yours is gorgeous though.”
In another video, which has gained 35.5k views after two days of being uploaded, Nikki also revealed how much it costs to live in a lodge.
The mum explained that lodge insurance is £18.50 per month, and they buy gas bottles which cost £105 each.
However, in May, June, July, and September, they will most likely not buy a gas bottle, “so that works out significantly cheaper.”
Their electricity bill is currently £90 a month, while ground rent is £376.50, which includes water, and their internet costs £35 a month.
4 ways to keep your energy bills low
Laura Court-Jones, Small Business Editor at Bionic shared her tips.
1. Turn your heating down by one degree
You probably won’t even notice this tiny temperature difference, but what you will notice is a saving on your energy bills as a result. Just taking your thermostat down a notch is a quick way to start saving fast. This one small action only takes seconds to carry out and could potentially slash your heating bills by £171.70.
2. Switch appliances and lights off
It sounds simple, but fully turning off appliances and lights that are not in use can reduce your energy bills, especially in winter. Turning off lights and appliances when they are not in use, can save you up to £20 a year on your energy bills
3. Install a smart meter
Smart meters are a great way to keep control over your energy use, largely because they allow you to see where and when your gas and electricity is being used.
4. Consider switching energy supplier
No matter how happy you are with your current energy supplier, they may not be providing you with the best deals, especially if you’ve let a fixed-rate contract expire without arranging a new one. If you haven’t browsed any alternative tariffs lately, then you may not be aware that there are better options out there.
