A NURSING influencer tragically passed away after battling yearslong infertility issues and finally giving birth to her first child.

ER nurse and popular TikToker Hailey Okula died due to complications from childbirth when she gave birth to her son.

Matthew Okula, Hailey’s husband, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that I share the devastating news of the unexpected passing of my beautiful wife, Hailey Marie Okula, due to complications from childbirth,” he wrote.

“Words cannot convey the depth of the loss I feel. Hailey was more than I could have ever dreamed of in a wife and partner. She was gorgeous, smart, hardworking, passionate, trustworthy, and above all else, unbelievably loyal.”

Matthew, whose been with Hailey for 13 years, called her his “everything.”

The heartbroken husband detailed the couple’s struggles with infertility, an issue Hailey had previously been vocal about to her 212,000 TikTok followers.

“After years of infertility struggles and a long, challenging IVF process, we were overjoyed to be expecting Crew. Hailey faced every hurdle with so much courage and love—even though her body went through so much, she never wavered.”

Matthew recalled a time he broke down and apologized to his wife for everything she was going through.

“She held my face, looked into my eyes, and said, ‘We are a team, and we’ll get through this together.'”

He described the nurse as someone who would “do anything for the people she loved.”

Matthew said his wife’s love for their newborn son Crew was “limitless” despite their short time together.

“Her spirit, courage, and love will live on in our son, and through everyone whose lives she touched.”

Matthew praised Hailey’s dedication to teaching aspiring nurses about the practice on her Instagram and TikTok accounts.

He said that she loved her nursing community and was so proud of the meaningful community and content she made.

“She dreamed of helping new nurses thrive while also being present for our sweet Crew, building a life and legacy she was so proud of.”

Taking to Instagram, Sam posed for a picture while holding one of his fluffy cats.

He added an ’emotional face’ and red heart emoji alongside the caption: “Missed you!”

The snap came as former Love Island star Zara jetted off to Dubai for a sun-kissed holiday.

She has since been photographed in a stunning lace dress while sipping on a glass of wine.

It had previously been assumed that Zara had taken full custody of the cats after moving out of the West London home she shared with Sam.

Following her move, she had shared a picture of Cedric sprawled out on her bed and told fans that her pets were ‘her world’.

Sam, meanwhile, previously showed his adoration for their pets by likening them to his ‘children’.

During his 2023 stint in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, Sam said he understood Jamie Lynn Spears‘ upset at leaving her children behind in the US.

Much to the amusement of IAC viewers, Sam told the singer: “I get it man, I’ve got two cats at home – Albus and Cedric – little fluffy men. Know what I mean? So I get it. Not kids, but I get it.”

Zara and former Made In Chelsea star Sam were together for five years before their split in December.

Despite their break-up being bitter, both stars appear to have now moved on.

Zara has been linked with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson after they were spotted at a county hotel together.

Sam, meanwhile, is said to have been “growing close” to Netflix star Lucy Syed.

Lucy, who was a runner-up on last year’s Too Hot To Handle, reportedly had an “instant connection” with Sam when they went on a date.

A friend told MailOnline: “Sam and Lucy were sharing direct messages over Instagram before they decided to meet up at a pub and then continue their night at The Rex Rooms.

“They looked really close in the club, chatting and cuddling up together.

BRITONS with electric showers in their homes will be hit with a £147 charge from this April, as household bill prices rise.

As of April 1, gas and electricity prices rose by 6.4%, meaning that the cost of running everyday appliances has also risen by the same amount.

From this month, the average UK household will pay £1,849 for gas and electricity, thanks to a new price cap set by energy regulator Ofcom.

This is an increase for the average household of £111 a year, or £9.25 a month.

Electric showers, which use electricity to heat up your water, rather than gas from your boiler, are very expensive to use, with the cost of showering for a few minutes a day now rising even higher.

According to Sust-it, based on the April price cap, electric showers will now cost between 34p and 49p per 10 minutes of use, depending on how powerful the shower is.

If you have an average powered 9kWh shower, it will cost you around 41p to run for 10 minutes, meaning that, if you take a 10 minute shower every day, this will cost £2.84.

Over the course of a year, it will cost you £147.99, if you have a shower every day.

If you have a less powerful shower, which runs at 7.5kWh, this will cost you £123.23 a year, and if you have a 10.8 kWh shower, this will cost you £177.59 a year.

Sust-it said: “Electric showers are rated in Kilowatts (kW).

“Find out the specification of your shower, then use our energy calculator to see how much it will cost to run per day, week or a year.

“Based on a 10-minute shower every day.

“Electricity costs are calculated using the UK Price Cap (April 2025) electricity rate of £0.27 per kWh (incl. VAT).”

In order to reduce the cost of your daily shower, one simple thing you could do is shower for five minutes instead of 10.

You could also try switching to a fixed energy tariff, as a way to cut costs.

According to Martin Lewis, some energy companies are offering tariffs up to 14% cheaper than the price cap, so switching could make you some mega savings.

April’s energy price cap increase marks the third consecutive quarter that bills have risen for around 22 million households on standard tariffs.

The figure is also £159 per year higher than the price cap set for the same period last year, but £531 lower than at the height of the energy crisis in early 2023.

The latest price rise is due to an increase in gas prices in Europe, caused by a reduction in the amount of gas being stored across the continent.

However, despite the price cap going up, many people should actually pay less for their energy in the spring and summer, when the warmer weather means people won’t need to turn their heating on.

Ofgem chief executive Jonathan Brearley said: “We know that no price rise is ever welcome, and that the cost of energy remains a huge challenge for many households.

“But our reliance on international gas markets leads to volatile wholesale prices, and continues to drive up bills, which is why it’s more important than ever that we’re driving forward investment in a cleaner, homegrown system.”

But The Iceman’s Premier League rival Van Gerwen has been left in the cold by the prospect of a boxing bout.

Asked about the prospect of Price vs Paul, Van Gerwen replied: “What a ridiculous thing.

“I don’t like it. I don’t see that fight happening at all.

Van Gerwen, a three-time world champion, is yet to win a Premier League night this season.

The PDC recently announced it was to double the sport’s top prize, with next year’s world champ bagging a cool £1million.

Van Gerwen added: “If you look at the sport’s popularity and the way inflation has risen over the past six years, this was bound to happen at some point.

“If you had the pleasure of knowing Est you were so very lucky, she was strong and she was stubborn in all of the best ways.

“She fought 5 years of her life with cancer and you would never have even known. She was brave and showed up even on her worst days and she never let her illness affect living her best little life.”

Jess went on to explain that she and Estera were “life-long best friends” after meeting when they were just 11 years old.

“A pain like this is so unbearable,” she continued.

“I am so proud of her, for everything she has had to battle the last 5 years that no one should ever go through, she deserved a long life full of abundance, and it hurts me beyond words that her story ended here.

I always said that I’d be lost without her and that’s exactly how it feels. What a beautiful soul and a blessing to of had her in my life. I feel so lucky that I got to experience a friendship so deep, a bond so unbreakable that my heart aches and my world will never be the same.

“My forever sidekick and the worst but best influence to each other. There will never be enough memories with you, and I would do anything for more time and one last cuddle.”

Jess added: “We all miss you so much Est. You are so loved and admired.

“Our real life angel in the sky, I’m desperate to laugh and dance with you again.

“Forever in my heart and always on my mind. ‘Forever together.’”

While Jess’s fans have sent their condolences, many of her Love Island friends have also commented on her sad news.

Faye Winter said: “Sending you all the love in world, a friendship like this will last a lifetime, it will be the friendship that every time something good or bad happens you’ll wish they were with you, in that moment know that they are who you think of because they are right there beside you.”
