Missing April Windsor’s tragic story is finally revealed in special Emmerdale episode leaving dad Marlon Dingle reeling

TROUBLED teenager April Windsor’s fate is finally revealed after going missing on Christmas Day in a special episode.

In a special episode of Emmerdale, the viewers will learn April’s tragic story, leaving Marlon and Rhona overwhelmed and struggling when Swirling brings them up to date about April.

The heartbreaking twist uncovers the full extent of April’s disappearance, and Marlon is left reeling as he grapples with the shock of her fate[/caption]

In a tense turn of events, Ross takes Marlon aside to remind him of the toll his actions are having on his family.

Encouraging Marlon to open up about his black eye, Ross learns that Marlon was tricked into handing over money and suffered the injury in the process.

Concerned for Marlon’s well-being, Ross urges him to focus on his family.

But it remains unclear whether Marlon will take the advice to heart.

When Marlon returns home, Rhona is shocked but relieved to hear from Ross that Marlon is planning to take a step back.

However, Marlon continues to deflect her questions about his eye, causing tension between them.

Rhona’s patience reaches its limit as Marlon insists on continuing the search for April.

The next day, Rhona, still shut out of Marlon’s struggles, pushes him to spend more time with Leo and Ivy to help mend their family.

Her suggestion sparks Marlon’s anger, leaving her devastated.

Meanwhile, Paddy urges Marlon to communicate with Rhona and open up about his feelings.

Will Marlon finally listen to his friend’s advice?

The arrival of PC Swirling brings a wave of dread to both Marlon and Rhona.

Their worst fears are realised when the officer asks them to sit before delivering the news that April has been found.

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and is available from 7am on ITVX.

Soap's most harrowing teen storylines

We take a look at other harrowing teen soap storylines from soaps Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.

Belle Dingle’s schizophrenia in Emmerdale – Belle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) traumatic journey in Emmerdale took a dark turn when, after accidentally killing her best friend Gemma at just 16, her mental health began to spiral.

The storyline, which saw Belle struggling with her grief and guilt, showcased her battle with hearing Gemma’s voice inside her head, leading to a dramatic decline in her well-being.

Hannah Ashworth’s anorexia in Hollyoaks – Viewers were horrified as they watched Hannah (Emma Rigby), a seemingly innocent teen, spiral into dangerous behavior, starving herself in an attempt to achieve what she thought was the ideal body.

As Hannah’s condition worsened, the storyline became more intense, culminating in her being hospitalised for two months as she fought for her life.

Bethany Platt’s grooming ordeal in Coronation Street – Vulnerable schoolgirl, played by Lucy Fallon, was at the centre of one of Corrie’s darkest storylines to date when she fell under the spell of her older boyfriend and sexual predator.

The controversial scenes saw Nathan groom and manipulate the 16-year-old before coercing her into sleeping with his friends, with one of them raping her.

Whitney Dean’s abuse from Tony in EastEnders – Since the age of 12, she had been in a twisted relationship with her stepmum Bianca’s boyfriend, Tony King. The predator had groomed young Whit (Shona McGarty), making her believe she was in love and planning to run away with him.

On her 16th birthday, the traumatised teen finally revealed the years of abuse to Bianca. Tony was swiftly sent to prison sentenced for 13 years.

Glastonbury fans convinced huge rock band will headline Other stage after spotting tour clues

GLASTONBURY fans are desperate to know which stars are taking to the stage this year – with one Scottish rock act notably becoming a favourite.

Biffy Clyro are expected to return this year with a new album, four years since their last effort, The Myth of the Happily Ever After.

And they’re already lined-up for a number of European festival appearances across the summer.

After it was announced they would be appearing at Glasgow’s TRNSMT Festival on July 12, fans took to Reddit to note that their tour does have space to appear at Glasto.

Taking to the site, one fan wrote: “Biffy have the headliner slot at TRNSMT and are touring some festivals in the summer. Would love to see them back at the farm! Thoughts?”

“Would be a brilliant other stage headliner. Think their catalogue is too big (and great) to not do a headline slot,” one replied.

“Could see a secret set slot or other stage headline this year if a new album is on the way, and then potentially making the jump to Headline the festival in 27/28? They’re surely capable of headlining outright now,” noted a second.

“Do Biffy have new music on the way? They’ve secured some incredible festival slots without releasing anything new for like 4 years,” wrote a third.

“I like them btw, almost their entire catalogue, it’s just quite unusual. An other headline would be great.”

Glastonbury is running from 25 to 29 June this year, with the official line-up still yet to be revealed in full.

The Sun previously revealed that pop icons Chappell Roan, Charli XCX and Olivia Rodrigo are all set to perform at Glastonbury next year.

They join The 1975, Stevie Wonder and Neil Young who are due to perform on the Pyramid Stage.

But it does fit in with Biffy’s announced availability, with the band kicking off performances in Europe, starting with Rock AM Ring on June 6 in Nuremberg, Germany.

They’ll then continue with performances in Czech Republic, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Austria before heading to Southside Festival which runs 20 to 22 June in Germany.

After that, there is no new announcements except for TRNSMT Festival.

Other line-up rumours currently include Scissor Sisters, legendary punk rocker Billy Idol, and The Maccabees.

Glastonbury 2025 - rumoured acts

THE Glastonbury line-up hasn't been confirmed - despite the fact tickets for the 2025 event sold out in minutes. Here are some rumoured acts.

Basement Jaxx sparked speculation they will be playing at Worthy Fam after leaving a “Glastonbury shaped gap” in their latest tour schedule.

It came after the hit duo announced their first live shows in 10 years – with gig-goers calling out a key “clue” in the order of their concert dates.

Yet acts including Olivia Rodrigo, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Eminem are rumoured to be in the mix.

Canadian songstress Alanis Morrisette and Simple Minds have also been tipped to take to the stage.

The event will run from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday June 29 for 2025.

The two comedians have revealed they are set to unleash their very first podcast together called, Making A Scene.

Taking to Instagram to announce their new project – which will see them chatting to their famous friends – the pair shared a clip revealing their big news.

At the start of the video, Matt and David started joking about how they were working together because they had both been “cancelled”.

The duo then went onto explain they were doing a podcast together where their star pals, like Jack Whitehall, Stephen Merchant and Richard E. Grant, will tell them funny stories from their lives.

Matt and David will then turn the celebrity‘s story into a scene from a movie.

The promo video was captioned with: “After 15 years, the legendary comedy duo Matt Lucas and David Walliams are finally reunited – with a brand new podcast… MAKING A SCENE.

“Join them twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays (from the 4th February) as they turn the lives of their famous friends into cinematic masterpieces, and tackle YOUR questions – no matter how awkward, bold, or outrageous – in bonus pod You Can’t Ask Me That!

“Follow for more updates and subscribe now on Spotify or your podcast app of choice.”

BECOMING A COMEDY DUO

Matt and David met at the National Youth Theatre in the early 90s and quickly bonded over their love of comedy and impressions.

One of their first collaborations was on Rock Profile, which started in 1999.

After other TV parts they finally made it big in 2003 with Little Britain, with the show running until 2009.

They also came together to write and star in Come Fly With Me, which ran from 2010 until 2011.

THE FALL OUT

The pair stopped working with each other in 2011, amid reports the friendship became strained.

Matt wrote in his autobiography about how tensions rose between the pair in 2005 during their epic Little Britain Live tour, leading to a spectacular fight backstage one night.

One particular disagreement over David’s facial hair during the tour turned into an all-out screaming match.

Matt explained they were “suddenly hurling obscenities at each other”.

Things then took a turn for the worse when David released his autobiography, Camp David, in 2012.

While promoting the book he was asked about his relationship with Matt on Radio 4, to which he replied: “We’re very different people and probably want different things and had different working methods.”

He added: “Well, it’s over for the time being. Whether it’s over forever I don’t know.”

REUNITED

Much to fans’ delight the comedy duo reunited in 2019 after an eight-year feud, announcing that they were planning a “huge TV comeback”.

Matt and David finally started to work together again in 2019, creating a one-off special episode of Little Britain called Little Brexit which was broadcast on BBC Radio 4, where the show started in 2000.

In 2019, the comedy duo were pictured together at the theatre, and in 2020, Matt revealed that the pair are friends again.

Matt says: “I do get asked about Little Britain a lot but what I can say is that David and I are the very best of friends and we speak or exchange messages every single day.”

And he admitted that modern tech helped them keep in touch.

He added that the pair “make each other laugh all the time”.

“At this early stage, the feedback from our veterinary team and the specialists is positive that we can look forward to seeing him return in the autumn.

“It is a huge blow for all involved and every care is being taken for one of our stable’s leading lights.

“We will update you on his recovery in due course.”

The seven-year-old was two from two over fences having won the Grade 2 John Francome Novices’ Chase at Newbury before following up in the Grade 1 Kauto Star at Kempton on Boxing Day.

He had been a 9-2 shot for the Brown Advisory on the Wednesday of the Festival.

Redknapp has suffered a torrid 24 hours with 2-7 favourite Risk It All turned over in ‘bizarre’ scenes at Plumpton yesterday.

The Jukebox Man being ruled out of the Brown Advisory means last year’s awesome Ballymore winner Ballyburn cements his position at the head of the market.

The Willie Mullins-trained novice was firmly put in his place by Nicky Henderson’s Sir Gino at Kempton over Christmas.

But the Closutton boss reckons the step up in trip will suit him – as it already does the new second-fav Dancing City, who Mullins also trains.

Redknapp watched on in agony at last year’s Festival when The Jukebox Man was chinned in the final stride of the Albert Bartlett by Stellar Story.

But his other horse, Shakem Up’Arry gave him a memorable first Festival winner in the Plate.

Wynne Evans snubs his OWN birthday meal with cast just hours before he was axed from Strictly tour over sexual jibe

AXED Strictly tour star Wynne Evans was missing from his own birthday meal with the cast last night.

Stars planned to celebrate the Go Compare singer’s 53rd birthday – amid fury over his sexual jibe.

However, Wynne snubbed the fancy dinner just hours before The Sun revealed he had been stood down from touring with the BBC show.

His co-stars went ahead with the meal at Gaucho in Liverpool – despite the host not turning up.

Our exclusive pictures show Love Island‘s Tasha Ghouri linking arms with judge Craig Revel Horwood at the event, with the likes of Kai Widdrington, Amy Dowden, Lauren Oakley and Janette’s husband Aljaz Skorjanec also in attendance.

A source told The Sun: “The gang were keen to do something for Wynne’s birthday because he’s had a hard time.

“They organised a cake for him and everything, but he didn’t show up.

“Everyone had a great time anyway but it was really sad he didn’t join them, but now they know he has been axed, it all makes sense.”

Wynne came under fire for his crude remark to Strictly Live host Janette Manrara at the press launch earlier this month.

It was first thought he’d escaped with a final warning – but has since been sacked for his joke about having a threesome with professional dancer Janette, 41.

The Sun understands BBC Studios will be releasing a statement later today.

Wynne previously apologised after he was heard using the term “spit roast” to co-star Jamie Borthwick while standing beside Janette.

He said: “My language was inappropriate and unacceptable, for which I sincerely apologise.”

It’s the second scandal Wynne has been embroiled in during his Strictly journey.

He sparked controversy in the most recent series for appearing to touch pro partner Katya Jones inappropriately around her waist on live TV, before she moved his hand away.

A spokesman for Janette claimed she hadn’t heard the comment.
