Inside Love Island Curtis’ secret family feud as he reveals he CUT OFF his mum in shock revelation
LOVE Island All Stars’ Curtis Pritchard has let slip that he cut off his mum Debi after a huge fallout.
Curtis, 28, made the revelation about his secret family feud during a heated argument in the villa with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu.
Ekin had told her love interest how she ‘wished her parents were there’, before Curtis blurted out that he’d stopped talking to his mum for a period.
The Turkish actress had fumed: “F*** you if you don’t think I’m authentic… I wish my parents were here.”
Curtis strangely replied: “I cut my mum off for a time. But we’re back in contact now.”
The conversation about Debi went no further, with Ekin simply telling him: “You’re such a good man.”
They then shared a passionate kiss.
Fans were left perplexed by Curtis’s seemingly random comment about his bust-up with Debi.
Writing on X, one viewer asked: “Why did Curtis start chatting about his mum????”
Another added: “Not Curtis saying in the middle of the argument ‘I cut my mum off’ then snogging Ekin.”
Debi has always publicly thrown her support behind Curtis and his former Strictly Come Dancing star brother AJ.
However, during Curtis’ first stint in the Love Island villa, she broke down on live TV while discussing his on-screen break-up with Amy Hart.
Amy was so upset by Curtis’ treatment of her that she was whisked off to see show psychologists and later quit.
Television watchdog Ofcom was also hit with almost 200 complaints.
Appearing on This Morning, Debi had to be handed a tissue as she said: “I’ve seen it so many times but to feel Curtis’s pain and, to not even realise the pain Amy is going through, and Amy’s parents, it’s just so traumatic.”
AJ, meanwhile, branded Curtis “brutal”, saying: ‘‘For me Curtis is Curtis and he’s so honest.
“Sometimes a little too brutally honest the way he let her down, but the thing is he was on holiday getting sunburnt, eating too much, and everything’s done for him, so it was that kind of hotel holiday romance.”
DEATH THREATS
Debi later revealed she had received death threats after Curtis dumped Amy on the ITV2 show.
Two years later, she wrote in New! magazine: “Initially, Curtis coupled up with Amy and he was getting so much love, but my mother’s instinct told me it wasn’t going to work out. It took a turn when he decided to break up with her.
“I got lots of terrifying messages telling me I should die, and Curtis should die. It took me by surprise – as a mum, it was hard to deal with and it made it cry.”
Debi added: “It would have been easy for Curtis to stick with Amy and maintain his popularity, but he wasn’t compromising himself for the sake of a television show and I was proud of him for doing the right thing.”
It is unclear when exactly Curtis cut off contact with his mum but, in 2021, he did a joint newspaper interview with her.
However, Curtis stressed that does not ‘look for Debi’ in potential girlfriends, who has a “strong personality”.
He told The Mirror: “Mum is grounded. She is your rock, she gave birth to you, but I never take that into my relationships and think, ‘I’m looking for my mum’.
“Definitely a good strong personality, characters like Mum, so maybe a little bit to be fair.”
Debi, meanwhile, admitted: “I give my honest opinion on everything.
“But most of the time I just listen because they have their own answers.”
She added: “These have been challenging times, but the answers to your questions are always within yourselves.”
BACK ON TRACK
In November last year, Curtis proved that his and Debi’s relationship is in a positive place.
The professional dancer shared a picture of himself, his mum and his dad Adrian on Instagram after they attended a 70s-themed party together.
Curtis captioned the shot: “Taking it back to the hippie era with mum and dad last night. #peace and #love.”
One follower told him: “Gorgeous photos, memories forever.”
Curtis and AJ later went on to join Debi and Adrian for the Boxing Day swim on Brighton Beach.
The family posed together on the chilly beach in their dressing gowns.

LONDON Stansted will get five new flight routes with low-cost carrier Ryanair, including services to a trending travel destination.
Despite the low-cost carrier threatening to scrap routes across airports in Europe, the airline has added several new services to its summer 2025 schedule from London Stansted Airport.
Ryanair is launching five new flight routes from London Stansted Airport[/caption] Flights between London Stansted and Reggio Calabria will launch next month[/caption]The airline will be operating new routes from London Stansted to Reggio Calabria in Italy, Clermont-Ferrand in France, Münster and Lübeck in Germany and Linz in Austria.
Flights to Reggio Calabria in Italy will launch on February 3, with the twice-weekly service operating every Sunday and Wednesday.
Flights take three hours, with one-way fares from just £14.99.
The lesser-visited Italian region was named a trending travel destination for 2025 by a team of experts thanks to its cheaper prices.
Flights to Clermont-Ferrand in France will launch on March 30, with the twice-weekly service operating every Sunday and Wednesday.
Sunday services will depart London Stansted at 7am before landing in France at 9.40am local time.
The flights will then depart the French airport at 10am, touching down in the UK at 10.50am.
Flight times will operate slightly later on the Wednesday service, with Sun Online Travel finding one-way fares from £20.65.
Münster services will also launch on March 30, with the route operating three times a week every Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday.
Flights take just one hour and 15 minutes, with prices from £16.99 for one-way fares.
Lübeck, another city in the north of Germany, is also set to get new flights from London Stansted.
Flights will launch on April 1 and will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
One-way fares start from £16.91, with flight times differing each day.
A new route will also operate between London Stansted and Linz, a city in Upper Austria.
Flights to Linz will begin operating on February 3, with services flying between the two destinations every Monday and Friday.
Sun Online Travel have found one-way fares from £19.99.
Ryanair will add an additional Boeing 737 aircraft at London Stansted to accommodate the new routes, taking its London based fleet to 56 aircraft.
Linz in Upper Austria will also get a new service from London Stansted[/caption]Airline boss, Michael O’Leary, said: “While we’re excited to announce these new routes and increased frequencies from London, we could expand even more rapidly throughout the UK.
“However, Rachel Reeves’s decision to raise APD taxes undermines growth potential, particularly at regional airports.
“This short-sighted policy will have long-lasting effects on the UK’s aviation sector and regional economies.”
Last year, the airline tycoon slammed Rachel Reeves’ “idiotic” decision to bump the tax on economy seats to European hotspots by 15 per cent.
In the budget, the Chancellor announced flights across the continent will now incur £15 of duty charges – increasing it by £2.
The low-cost airline has also threatened to axe services from airports in both France and Spain.

Advice for flying with Ryanair
- All Ryanair passengers can bring a small personal bag on board but this must fit under the seat in front of you, but it must be no bigger than 40cm x 20cm x 25cm
- Any over-sized cabin bags will be refused at the boarding gate and put in the hold for a fee
- Ryanair also charges passengers up to £55 check-in at the airport
- Anyone who loses their card at the airport will have to pay a £20 reissue fee
- Book to sit in the front five rows if you want to head off the plane first
- Extra legroom seats can be found in rows 1 A, B, C or 2 D, E, F as well as row 16 and 17 near the emergency exit
- The worst seat on Ryanair’s Boeing 737-800 aircraft is also 11A because of its lack of window.
And we’ve rounded up all the big new flight routes launching this year.

DO you want to do more of the things which make you happy this year?
Download this tool to help you do one new thing each week in 2025 – from trying a new sport to writing poetry.
The digital spin the wheel game gives you an outcome of a small act in numerous categories, including health, social life and personal finances.
Sync it up with your phone calendar and a reminder to complete your task will ensure nothing is forgotten.
New activities include donating blood, trying pottery and meal planning.
The motivating tool comes after a poll of 2,000 adults revealed the top 50 actions and experiences they want to encounter more often this year, with receiving good news top of the list (48 per cent).
Others want to make time for exercise (29 per cent), hobbies (27 per cent) and being creative (17 per cent).
Ash Schofield, CEO of giffgaff, which commissioned the research, said: “It’s clear people want to see and do more this year, and actively make time for themselves and those close to them.
“Whether it’s 10 minutes a day dedicated to a hobby, or spontaneous calls with friends or family – these little acts can make a big difference.
“Social lives seem to play a big part of the top 50 list, including dates with partners, friends and relatives and unexpected texts from loved ones.”
The research also found many want to be on the receiving end of hugs from loved ones (29 per cent), meaningful conversations (17 per cent) and thoughtful, unexpected text messages (16 per cent).
When it comes to finances, 29 per cent are keen for opportunities to make more savings on shopping and bills, while 16 per cent would like to see more generosity from businesses like discounts and freebies.
And the aim of doing more of these things is simply to feel good (62 per cent) and improve their mood (56 per cent).
To make time to tick stuff off, 32 per cent plan to set small goals and targets while 31 per cent aim to book stuff in-advance, such as catch ups with friends and family.
People would prefer to do more of the things they want to do (37 per cent) this year, than those they need to do (18 per cent).
Despite hoping to put aside an hour and 45 minutes a week to focus on such activities and goals, 43 per cent cite a lack of time as the top barrier.
Decreased motivation (36 per cent), being stuck in a rut of a routine (34 per cent) and a lack of confidence (26 per cent) were also hurdles.
Of those polled, via OnePoll, 46 per cent have goals for 2025 – an average of four each – typically in the areas of physical health (62 per cent), personal finance (55 per cent) and family (44 per cent).
Similarly, 86 per cent think it’s important to make time for the things which have a positive impact on their wellbeing.
In terms of acts of kindness from others, being made a cup of tea leaves 38 per cent in a good mood for mere minutes, but an unexpected gift or flowers results in days of positivity (31 per cent).
And 85 per cent admitted that if someone has done something for them, they’re more likely to do the same in return.
Ash Schofield, for giffgaff, which is offering its customers the freedom to flex the cost of their data allowance each month to suit budget, added: “The research suggests it’s the year for ‘me’, with people hoping to commit time to themselves, be it for relaxing or ticking things off their bucket list.
“Personal finance is high on the agenda, with almost a third wishing for no surprise bills this year – this is something we hope to help people avoid, with no-mid contract price rises.
“It’s great to see almost a fifth (19 per cent) will use their phone in a positive way to help them do that, by setting reminders to achieve their goals.”

Brighton REJECT whopping £75million transfer bid for Kaoru Mitoma from Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr after shock swoop
BRIGHTON have rejected a whopping £75million bid from Al-Nassr for Kaoru Mitoma.
The Saudi side saw an opening bid of £54m knocked back on Thursday before returning with their eye-watering offer for the 27-year-old.
Brighton have rejected a huge £75m bid for Kaoru Mitoma[/caption]But the Seagulls stood firm on their insistence that the winger was not for sale with Mitoma not keen on a move out of Europe.
The Japanese international has become a top star for Brighton since his arrival on the south coast in 2021.
The winger joined from Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale for a reported £2.7m back then.
And he has since made 92 appearances for the Premier League club.
Mitoma, who wrote a university thesis on dribbling past his opponents, has been in great form for Fabian Hurzeler‘s side this season.
Across 23 Premier League appearances he has scored five goals and registered three assists.
Al-Nassr are pursuing the signature of another Premier League star too.
Aston Villa‘s Jhon Duran appears to be on the verge of a £65m move to Cristiano Ronaldo’s current employers.

Minutes before that, Mullins had put son Patrick on Rich Ricci’s awesome grey mare Lossiemouth for the Irish Champion Hurdle, for which she is odds-on fav.
This came after it was confirmed Paul Townend would ride State Man.
That meant Willie’s nephew Danny was given the ride on Daddy Long Legs – until Danny was then mysteriously booked for both Daddy Long Legs and Lossiemouth.
With just seconds to go until the deadline, though, Willie performed a dramatic U-turn.
Amateur rider Patrick’s name now appeared next to Winter Fog, who Rachael Blackmore’s boyfriend Brian Hayes had originally been booked to ride.
While Sean O’Keeffe was the jockey tasked with riding outsider Daddy Long Legs.
The astonishing late switch-up means Danny will have a huge shot at Grade 1 glory on Ricci’s 8-13 fav.
Townend will hope the defending Champion Hurdle king can defy 13-8 odds after flopping completely at Christmas.
While Patrick goes from the ride on the odds-on jolly to steering unfancied 16-1 chance Winter Fog.

Chilling moment ‘sado-masochistic’ couple drag mum’s severed remains in suitcase after sending texts about cannibalism
THIS is the chilling moment a “sado-masochistic” couple drag a mum’s severed remains in a suitcase after murdering her to satisfy her bloodlust.
Steve Sansom, 45, and his girlfriend Gemma Watts, 49, slaughtered Sarah Mayhew after exchanging “depraved” texts about cannibalism.
The mum-of-two was brutally murdered then dismembered[/caption] Gemma Watts was yesterday jailed for life[/caption] Sansom was handed a whole life tariff[/caption]They were then captured on CCTV in the dead of night wheeling the 38-year-old’s butchered body parts through South London.
Footage also shows Sansom buying hacksaw blades, which were used to chop up Sarah’s body.
Parts of Sarah’s remains were discovered in Rowdown Fields, Croydon, last year.
Then her “limbless torso” was then pulled from the River Wandle by contractors carrying out cleaning work weeks later.
Sansom and Watts were yesterday jailed after pleading guilty to murder and perverting the course of justice.
Sansom was handed a rare whole life tariff – meaning he will never be released from prison.
While Watts was jailed for life with a minimum term of 30 years.
It is a second life sentence for Sansom, who was previously convicted and jailed for murder in 1999.
A court heard the couple’s relationship was “characterised by sado-masochistic violence” that was so intense they “often referred to dying together if caught”.
They would send each other “depraved” messages about their macabre desire to kill victims while “involved in sexual activity” with them.
The couple then discussed having sex while covered in their victim’s blood and eating human flesh.
On September 7, 2023, Watts messaged Sansom saying: “I am writing this of my own free will.
“Should any serious injury, or even death occur whilst I am with Steven Sansom let it be made fully understood that I enter the act of violent, dangerous sex games with Steven Samson of my own free will.”
Four days later, Sansom said in a voice note: “Everything looks like meat now don’t they? A plaything, something to cut, something to bleed, they all look different now.”
Watts replied: “Wonder what they taste like, cooked flesh, maybe even rare so blood drips down our faces.”
They also had a “kinky” sexual relationship and shared texts about bestiality, humiliation and causing hurt.
Prosecutor Tom Little KC said: “Given what was subsequently to happen to Sarah Mayhew this murderous, sexual and sadistic discussion was manifestly not an idle fantasy.”
On March 8 last year, Sarah was last seen heading to Sansom’s home after meeting him on a dating site years previously.
She was tragically never seen again after Sansom and Watts slaughtered her that night.
The depraved couple then used power tools to chop up Sarah’s body after Sansom purchased a 300mm hacksaw, a 300mm blade and 14-litre bucket.
After cleaning up evidence of their gruesome crime, he left a chilling voice note claiming the pair had “done the world a service”.
He also posted on his Facebook, which had the username “Red Rum” – murder spelt backwards – two days later.
Sansom wrote: “Best friends are those who don’t say anything when you show up at their door with a dead body.
“They just grab a shovel and follow you.”
Sarah’s head, arms and legs were found in the park when a dog walking in the fields returned to its owner carrying a human bone.
Then, on May 21, further body parts were discovered in Mitcham.
The court heard Sarah’s head had been shaved and she had bruising on her skull.
DNA tests carried out on blood traces in a bucket, in the kitchen and the lounge floor and walls at Samson’s flat showed they belonged to Sarah.
Her bloodstains were also found in the bedroom and bathroom sink.
Sansom was previously jailed for manslaughter after he stabbed popular cab driver Terrence Boyle, 59, in the throat and back before escaping with just £25 on Christmas Eve 1998.
He was released from jail in December 2019 after his case was considered by the Parole Board.
The double killer was under probation supervision at the time of Sarah’s murder.
The Ministry of Justice has confirmed a serious further offence review is under way due to Sansom’s release from jail.

EMMERDALE’s Marlon Dingle was left horrified as he finally made a shock connection between Anthony Fox and his missing daughter April.
Fans of the ITV soap opera know that April Windsor has been missing for weeks which has left the entire Dales shook with fear.
Marlon Dingle has been left horrified after working out a shock link between Anthony and April[/caption] With the alarm raised about Anthony’s past abuse, Marlon suspected he could be linked to April[/caption]With no clues as to where she could be or why she decided to flee, Marlon’s stomach turned when it was put to him that Anthony could potentially be involved with April.
The connections began when Laurel Thomas told Bob Hope that she had informed the police that she had struck Anthony over the head with a candlestick as he attempted to violently assault her best friend, Nicola King.
Anthony later disappeared from the Dales with Lauren fearing that she had killed him via the blow.
She informed the police but when they clarified with Ruby and Caleb that he was “alive”, she was freed without a second thought.
Laurel told Bob that Nicola had been led to believe that Anthony was a child abuser.
It saw her confront him which caused the altercation.
However, Chas later told the pair that she had got it wrong despite the information being true.
Having heard this information from Laurel, Bob went to the pub to tell Marlon and Rhona his fears that Anthony could be connected to April, even though Laurel had told him that their fears were ‘not true’.
Despite everyone being under the illusion that Anthony was wrongly targeted, Marlon was left convinced that he had taken April as part of his abusive ways.
The family were left panic-stricken that April’s disappearance and Anthony’s disappearance were aligned – with accusations and questions flying around The Woolpack aplenty.
Fears they could be connected came as Anthony’s true killer was finally revealed.
Fans had been led to believe that it was Aaron Dingle who had murdered the abuser but it was revealed in a surprise flashback, that it was actually his daughter Ruby that killed him.
Having seen Aaron sneak out of the depot, Ruby walked in and saw her father laying on the floor.
She eventually smothered him with a rag and left him to die.
As she confessed all to Caleb, they soon realised that Aaron and John had gone to clean up the mess having believed that Aaron was responsible for his death.

More than half of men admit they want to improve their life – and new quiz with 6 questions tells you how
ARE you ready to kickstart your life in 2025? A quiz has been created to help inspire you with ways to take control.
By answering a series of questions about how you typically spend your time, the tool will give you suggestions on how to be more spontaneous, creative or even physically active.
53% of men want to improve their physical health, according to a new poll[/caption] The online quiz includes six questions, with a handy suggestion made at the end[/caption]To take the quiz, click here.
It comes as a poll of 1,000 men found more than half (55 per cent) have vowed to take control of their lives this year.
They want to improve their physical health (53 per cent), happiness (50 per cent) and mental welfare (44 per cent).
While 43 per cent would like a greater sense of purpose in their everyday routine; 48 per cent admitted they often struggle to tell one day from another.
And 95 per cent of those who are looking to take a hold on their life are already taking steps to make it happen.
More than a third (36 per cent) are spending time outdoors to reconnect with nature and 31 per cent are working on improving their work/life balance.
Others are focusing hard to maintain a balanced diet (29 per cent) and learning a new skill (27 per cent).
The research was commissioned by Vitabiotics Wellman, which has partnered with transformation coach, David James Seed, to offer tips to make men feel more in control of their lives.
He said: “The culture around us keeps many stuck in their heads, caught in emotions, and disconnected from the present moment – the only place where real change happens.
“Through deep breathwork, mindful nutrition, and a balanced diet, we can break that cycle -stepping out of our minds and into our hearts, where truth and clarity reside.
“Breathwork is an active meditation, helping you control your nervous system, calm the mind, and shift from stress to clarity. Nourishing your body with whole, nutrient-rich foods strengthens this process, laying the foundation for well-being.
“When we fuel our bodies with intention and align our breath with the present, we cultivate resilience, clarity, and deeper self-connection.”
The research also found 46 per cent of men admit they sometimes feel overwhelmed by the demands and struggles of daily life.
And six in 10 often feel like they’re not living up to their full potential, while 34 per cent feel they are missing out by not doing the things they love.
More than a third (36 per cent) feel they often spend too much time on activities – like excessive screen time – that don’t ‘add value’ to their lives.
But financial constraints (37 per cent), lack of time (36 per cent) and little motivation (32 per cent) have previously prevented men from taking more control of their life.
And 34 per cent would like to prioritise time for self-care every day of the week, according to the OnePoll figures.
Vitabiotics Wellman’s spokesperson added: “Men across the globe are recognising that 2025 can be a transformative year—a time to reclaim control over their physical and mental well-being.
“In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but taking simple, intentional steps towards self-care is vital.
“Whether it’s setting healthier boundaries, prioritising fitness, or seeking support, the shift begins with a commitment to change – this journey is about empowerment, not perfection.”
How to blast belly fat WITHOUT going to gym or dieting
Chew your food
This mindfulness trick is used to focus your brain on the food you are eating – how it tastes and feels – rather than scoffing it in a hurry. If the brain does not register that you have eaten, you’ll soon crave more food.
Avocado a day
Eating avocado every day can fight visceral fat in women, which collects around the organs in the stomach and can lead to diabetes, heart attack, and some cancers, according to a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign study of 105 people.
Avoid fizzy drinks
Losing belly “fat” may just be a case of preventing bloating, which can be onset by fizzy soft drinks. Instead, keep hydrated with water.
Reduce alcohol
Alcohol does no favours at all for our health or figures. It is ’empty calories’, meaning it contributes to your calorie intake without giving any nutritional benefit.
Hangovers can also lead you to eat more fatty foods, while putting you off exercising.
Sleep more
Various studies have shown that if you’re not sleeping well, it can cause weight gain.
People are more likely to crave junk food when they are sleep deprived because, not only are they in need of an energy boost, but their appetite hormones are all over the place.
Reduce stress
Stress causes an imbalance of hormones, particularly cortisol. This hormone has been linked with obesity and excess belly fat.
Find ways to reduce your stress to avoid the so-called ‘stress belly’.
