Pokémon TCG Pocket introduces Space-Time Smackdown with hundreds of new cards

POKÉMON TCG Pocket has just had its first major update since the Mythical Island expansion.

However, while Mythical Island added just over 80 new cards for people to collect, Space-Time Smackdown brings almost 200.

The deck is centred around the Sinnoh region[/caption]

This includes 40 full-art Pokémon cards across standard illustrations, Trainer cards, Rainbow Rares, and Immersive cards.

With the introduction of Space-Time Smackdown, Genetic Apex has disappeared from the home screen.

If you are still missing cards from Genetic Apex, then there is no need to worry, you can still grab these cards.

To do so, you can use the new TCG Pocket Trading feature with friends, and trade cards from any set.

You can also tap a Space-Time Smackdown pack and then tap “Select other booster packs” in the bottom right corner to switch to older packs.

However, if you have finished your Mythical Island and Genetic Apex collections, then it’s time to start collecting Space-Time Smackdown.

If you want to complete your new collection, we have the full set list for Space-Time Smackdown, including which cards are exclusive to each pack.

Here is the full TCG Pocket Space-Time Smackdown deck list broken down by booster pack.

Our ancient village will be flattened by Heathrow’s third runway but we still SUPPORT Reeves’ plan… just get it done

RESIDENTS of a village which could be partially demolished to make way for a third runway at Heathrow Airport have backed the plans.

Hundreds of homes could be demolished in the west London villages of Harmondsworth and Longford if the expansion gets the green light.

LONDON, ENGLAND - OCTOBER 11: A general view of aircraft at Heathrow Airport on October 11, 2016 in London, England. The UK government has said it will announce a decision on airport expansion soon. Proposals include either a third runway at Heathrow, an extension of a runway at the airport or a new runway at Gatwick Airport. (Photo by Jack Taylor/Getty Images)
Ms Reeves said she wanted to see the expansion completed by 2035

The airport wants to build a third runway to raise capacity and boost resilience.

In a speech on Wednesday, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves highlighted the scheme among a throng of major projects she said the Government would support.

Ms Reeves later said she wanted to see the expansion completed by 2035 and added the whole Cabinet is “united” behind the plan.

Ashley Price owns and plumbing business and is from generations of Harmondsworth villagers.

He and his parents “welcomed the news” of their home being demolished.

He told The Times: “I feel good. Knock it down. My parents are retired and this has been in the works for two decades of my life.

“Just get it done.”

But campaigners said the expansion could “smash our community”.

Richard Young is the vicar at the St Mary the Virgin church in Harmondsworth.

He said the plans “cut very deeply” for residents living in what he described as a “tight-knit community”.

He added: “If it went ahead, it would have a devastating effect on the place. The vast majority of it would disappear.

“The church would stay but the community around it would go.

“(The plans) have been talked about for decades and has been a blight hanging over everyone’s heads.

“People can’t move because no one wants to buy their homes. People love living here. It’s their home.

OPINION: Sir Keir Starmer is driving brickies to breaking point

By RICHARD TICE, Reform MP and LEE ANDERSON, Reform MP

For all his talk about being the son of a toolmaker, Sir Keir Starmer couldn’t tell a screwdriver from a spanner. The bloke hasn’t got a clue how the construction industry works.

This week, you heard the government’s big plan—1.5 million homes and even a third runway at Heathrow. It might sound great, but Labour’s policies are driving the very workers we need into the ground.

Britain urgently needs more homes, hospitals, schools, and roads. Yet instead of equipping workers with shovels and tools, the PM has handed them pencils and clipboards.

In Sir Keir’s reckless race to climate targets, the construction industry is drowning in skyrocketing costs and endless red tape. The result? Job losses, delayed projects, and a construction industry crumbling under the weight of its own regulations.

Meanwhile, Rachel Reeves – Labour’s resident maths wizard – thinks hiking employer National Insurance is a great idea. Because nothing screams “economic growth” like strangling family-run businesses. These firms, the backbone of Britain’s construction industry, are being crushed under Labour’s anti-growth agenda.

And the workforce? It’s vanishing faster than new houses are appearing. Over the past five years, UK construction has lost 70,000 workers annually, with the average age of those remaining now over 50. Apprenticeship starts have averaged just 31,000 per year, with nearly half dropping out.

If ‘Rachel from Accounts’ did the maths, she’d see this adds up to a net loss of 50,000 people leaving the jobs market every year. Yet Sir Keir expects these dwindling ranks to deliver his Soviet-style building targets. It’s laughable.

Industry leaders like Steve Mulholland of the Construction Plant-hire Association have warned the PM his policies are hammering the sector. But Sir Keir thinks he knows best.

His forensic expertise has already left pensioners freezing at Christmas and farmers blockading his front door. Now, Britain’s builders are next in line for his dose of wisdom.

Labour’s solution? Import more workers. Why bother training Brits when you can call for a quick fix from overseas? At this rate, we’ll have more brickies arriving at Heathrow than passengers on Starmer’s third runway.

As the benefits bill balloons and borrowing hits record levels, Labour continues to prioritise the workshy over the hardworking like they always have done. This madness has to stop.

At Reform UK, we believe blue-collar workers are the backbone of this country. They should be cherished, not punished. And for too long, our education system has funnelled teenagers into pointless degrees that saddle them with lifelong debts and no real job prospects.

Keir Starmer’s promises might look good on paper, but they’re as flimsy as the clipboard he’s handed Britain’s builders.

If this government is serious about growth, it needs to trade soundbites for real blueprints and start listening to those who actually know which end of a hammer to hold.

If not, Britain’s building dream will collapse faster than Jeremy Corbyn’s allotment shed in a storm.

“There’s anxiety, fear and anger. But there’s also tension because some people hold different views.”

Justine Bayley, who lives in Harmondsworth and is chairwoman of the Stop Heathrow Expansion group, said the scheme risked wiping most of the village.

She said: “It’s inevitable that demolishing hundreds of homes will smash up a community.

“We have two pubs and two shops that would become unviable because of a lack of customers.

“There’s a bus route that would have to disappear because there’s a runway in the way.

“You’d end up with people being left behind … (but) the community would be gone.”

Ms Bayley, who has lived in the village for 30 years, said her home would not be demolished but would be roughly “50 paces” from the boundary of the new runway.

She added: “There is some disbelief that it will actually go ahead.

“It’s not the first time we’ve been here and this is the last in a series of proposals.

“There are many different views in the village and some, particularly those who can’t sell their houses at the moment, are just wanting clarity.

“Some people think any decision is better than no decision.”

Masked Singer finale date REVEALED as ITV confirm when winner will be crowned in triple unmasking

THE MASKED Singer’s finale date has been confirmed – and it promises to be the most dramatic yet, with three celebrities battling it out for the crown.

ITV has announced that the final episode of the hit guessing game will air on Saturday, February 15, where the remaining three contestants will perform one last time before being unmasked.

Four judges on The Masked Singer.
ITV
The Masked Singer’s grand finale date has been confirmed[/caption]

With the show’s biggest stars still under wraps, fans are eagerly speculating about which famous faces will be revealed – and who will follow in the footsteps of previous winners such as Charlie Simpson and Natalie Imbruglia.

Judges Maya Jama, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Mo Gilligan will be on hand to give their final guesses before the masked celebrities take off their elaborate disguises.

Fans are convinced a huge show star will return to perform on the final after spotting a clue.

Viewers believe McFly’s Danny Jones, 38, who won last year’s series as Piranha, will take to the stage once again for a special duet.

Their theory stems from the fact that Danny is set to appear as a guest judge on the final episode, leading many to speculate that he will slip into his costume once more.

Fans also suspect he could perform alongside this season’s Pufferfish, playing into the idea of a “two fish” duet.

The show often brings back former contestants for the finale, making the theory even more plausible.

Taking to Reddit, one fan asked: “Who do you want think is going to come back for duets in the final ?”

Another replied: “Pirhana and Pufferfish would be amazing.”

Someone else suggested: “I want pirhana and snail.”

A fourth said: “Monster and Dressed Crab would be heavenly, Piranha and Pufferfish is incredible and Snail paired with Robobunny maybe?”

During last year’s series, Piranha was revealed as noughties legend Danny as he was crowned the winner.

He told host Joel Dommett at the time: “I’ve had the most amazing time, I can escape behind here and just be Piranha and sing these songs.

“I’ve learnt so much, I’m able to sing higher now just from being on this show.  I am so happy, thank you!”

Reacting to the win, one fan said: “Danny Jones……What an amazing voice, congratulations what a worthy winner.”

A second wrote: “Danny Jones solo album as soon as possible please. A voice like that and it was hidden in McFly’s music (which I still loved obviously). Insane.”

“Wow! Danny Jones! Didn’t realise how good he is,” said a third.

While a fourth commented: “Anyone that has seen Mcfly live was in no doubt the moment Piranha opened his mouth that it was Danny Jones.”

Who has left The Masked Singer 2025 so far?

Much to the delight of telly fans, The Masked Singer is back in 2025.

Twelve celebrities have been hidden behind intricate costumes, with their identities concealed.

Sadly, not all of this year’s whacky and wonderful characters can make it to the end of the show, as there can only be one winner.

Here’s who has been unmasked so far:

Teeth – this character baffled judges and viewers with their changing voice. They were finally unmasked as former Bake Off host Mel Giedroyc. None of the panel managed to guess it was her

Tattoo – despite Davina McCall saying “you sound the same” after this character was unmasked, none of the judges guessed it was 80s singer Carol Decker, whose hit China In Your Hand was a No1 hit for five weeks

Toad In The Hole – a massive diva strop saw the character storm off the stage after the judges voted them off. They later returned to be unmasked as singer Macy Gray

Pegasus – the mythical horse was revealed to be Prue Leith, with judge Jonathan Ross correctly guessing her identity

Spag Bol – this character was first to be unmasked and was none other than Good Morning Britain host Kate Garraway.

Plus there was one extra unmasking this season, with Giant Joel – a caricature of host Joel Dommett – unveiled as double-double Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah.

MATTRESSES are a hefty investment, and experts recommend replacing them every 8 years on average – but if you’re not a mattress expert, knowing the best mattress to buy and why is like the wild west.

Sleeping on a mattress that is too old or doesn’t offer enough support can impact the quality of your sleep, and that’s a sure fire way to ruin your day.

Sleep like a baby in 2025

If you have stayed on a rubbish hotel mattress – naming no names – you know how the broken sleep can make you feel.

If your current mattress has seen better days, getting a new one should be a priority in 2025.

READ MORE:

Whether you’re a lone ranger in the sack or have a better half, the size of your bed, your preferred level of firmness and whether or not you move a lot in your sleep should also be taken into account.

It can be nerve-wracking buying a mattress online, but you needn’t worry because most companies offer extended trial periods of 100 nights PLUS.

So if you do buy one online and it doesn’t make you sleep like a baby, you can return it for a refund – but make sure to double check the T&Cs beforehand, because each retailer is different.

There’s also thousands of customer reviews online so make sure you read a few to help you decide what mattress is right for you.

We’ve also tested a fair few here at Sun Shopping, so read on for our reviews of the best mattress to buy in the UK, in 2025.

Best Mattresses at a glance:

How we tested the mattresses?

Our Sun Shopping team tried and tested the mattresses for an average of 100 days.

All mattresses tried and tested were hybrid, which is a mattress type that suits most sleep styles.

Our reviews also factored in delivery, ease of installation, first night thoughts and prolonged use, to paint an honest overall picture of what you can expect.

1. Simba Apex Mattress

Simba Earth mattress in bedroom.
Credit: Aaron Dowler

Simba Apex Mattress, £1,999

Pros: Relieved my back and neck pain, luxurious design, Eco-friendly

Cons: Very expensive, heavy, no removable cover for washing

Overall Rating: 4/5

I’ve always been a fan of Simba mattresses, so I was thrilled to try their top-tier model, the Simba Earth Apex. With its luxurious blend of cashmere, mohair, and silk, this mattress promises a premium sleep experience.

While it comes with a hefty price tag, I can confidently say it delivers on comfort, even if the upgrade from the Simba Pro isn’t life-changing.

Unlike previous Simba mattresses I’ve owned, the APEX didn’t arrive rolled up in a box.

Instead, it came fully formed, ready to use straight away. The champagne gold cover, made from wool and viscose, feels as luxurious as it looks.

The QuadCore spring technology is a game-changer, reducing partner disturbance—I barely noticed my partner getting up in the night.

After four months of testing, including tracking my sleep with an Oura Ring, I saw some improvements. My average sleep score increased by 6%, and the medium-firm feel was perfect for easing my back and neck pain, providing the right mix of support and softness.

Even my picky Labrador, who usually sticks to the sofa, has claimed the foot of the bed—a true seal of approval.

The Apex is packed with thoughtful details: 5,750 springs, premium materials like Yorkshire-grown hemp, and eight handles for easy rotation. It’s 30cm deep and comes with a generous 200-night trial, a 10-year guarantee, and a 0% finance option.

At £3,329 for a king size, the price is jaw-dropping. But when you break it down to 91p per night over ten years, it feels like an investment in nightly luxury.

If you’re ready to spend big for exceptional comfort, the Simba Earth APEX is worth considering.

2. Emma Hybrid Thermosync Mattress

Emma mattress with a white quilted top and gray base.

Emma Hybrid Thermosync Mattress, £819

Pros: Firm and supportive, keeps my temperature well-regulated throughout the night

Cons: Could be too firm for some

Rating: 5/5

I have had my Emma NextGen Cooling mattress, now renamed the Emma Hybrid Thermosync Mattress, for around a year and I have to say I am as impressed now as I was when I first got it.

I previously had a pocket-sprung mattress which after years of use became lumpy and bumpy to sleep on.

In contrast, the hybrid layers of the Emma mattress make this a dream to sleep on, it fully supports my body so I never wake up with any aches or pains.

I tend to move around a lot as I sleep so this is essential. While I love the firmness because I want to feel held and cocooned as I rest, I don’t think this would be the right option for someone who prefers a softer feel to their mattress.

I take a while to really warm up when in bed, so I fully appreciate the ThermoSync foam technology, which helps keep your body at an optimal temperature through the night.

It’s great during the winter when you want to retain warmth or in the summer when excess heat is captured in the foam fibres to help cool your body down.

Another bonus of this Emma mattress is how easy it is to unpack. It arrives compact and rolled up in a box, so it is straightforward to set up.

I was even able to lug the box upstairs myself and open it, so it had a few hours to fully expand before I slept on it that night.

3. Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress

Mattress on a metal bed frame.
Credit: James Hunt

Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress, £689

Pros: Medium-firm support with a soft, breathable top layer, effective cooling technology, easy-to-handle boxed delivery, outstanding value for money.

Cons: Very tall, so deep sheets may be needed, limited range for specialist needs, may not suit fans of very firm mattresses

Rating: 4.5/5

The Origin Hybrid Pro Mattress has impressed me with its quality, comfort, and excellent value for money. Origin, founded in 2018, focuses on “improving sleep worldwide by cutting out the gimmicks.”

Their flagship Hybrid Pro Mattress, the UK’s most award-winning luxury mattress, comes with a generous 200-night guarantee trial, giving you plenty of time to decide if it suits your needs.

The Hybrid Pro offers a medium-firm feel with a plush, cooling pillow top, combining over 5,700 TitaniumCoil springs, pressure-relieving layers, and bamboo-infused wool.

It provides orthopaedic-level support while keeping you cool on warmer nights.

Delivered compressed in a box, setup is quick and hassle-free.

However, its height may require deep-fitted sheets, and it might not suit those who prefer very firm or very soft mattresses.

At a discounted price of £689 for a double size, it’s significantly cheaper than competitors like the Emma Elite (£1,389) and Simba Hybrid Pro (£1,149).

Despite the lower cost, it delivers a luxury sleep experience.

After three weeks of testing, my sleep score improved from 60.5 to 74 out of 100.

4. Otty Original Hybrid Mattress

Otty mattress on a bed.
Credit: Pavlina Theodoulou

Otty Original Hybrid Mattress,
£599.99 (was £699.99)

Pros: Suitable for side sleepers, supportive, well-made

Cons: A bit firm at first, no side handles to help with flipping

Rating: 4.5/5

I’ve been using the Otty Original Hybrid for five months now, and I’ve been sleeping like a baby. I move around a lot in my sleep, which used to disturb my partner, but since this mattress has arrived, we’ve both been sleeping better.

It is sturdy and has made a noticeable difference in keeping me cool, even in the summer.

Delivery was super quick (the next day!), and it only took a few hours to expand.

One thing to keep in mind – you’ll probably need deeper sheets as standard ones might not fit properly.

The mattress is really comfy with just the right amount of firmness. I sleep in all sorts of positions, and this mattress supported all of them.

Plus, I’ve stopped waking up with back pain, which is a huge win for me.

The only downsides? It was a bit too firm initially, and it doesn’t have side handles, so rotating it is a bit of a faff.

However, I noticed it didn’t sag like our old mattress did after a few months.

This Otty Original Hybrid mattress bounces right back every morning and I cannot fault the quality.

The only reason this mattress didn’t get a perfect score is because it’s important to flip mattresses to extend their lifespan and without handles, this is nearly impossible to do.

All in all, I’m really happy with it and would genuinely recommend it to friends.

5. Simba Hybrid Original Mattress

Close-up of Simba mattress top and side.
Credit: Clara Wolsely

Simba Hybrid Original Mattress, £799

Pros: Easy setup, supportive, comfortable

Cons: Very heavy, may require deep fitted sheets, plasticky smell when first unboxed

Rating: 4.5/5

Like many in this list, the Simba Original Hybrid is a mattress in a box which means it needs some time to ‘inflate’ before use, but this takes just a couple of hours to develop enough to be slept on and 24 hours before it’s expanded fully. Not bad.

Made up of five layers – a breathable sleep surface, a layer of open-cell Simba-pure (Simba-pure= TCPP-free foam), a layer of patented Aerocoil springs, another layer of Simba-pure with edge support and a Simba-pure support base – it makes use of patented titanium Aerocoil springs to keep you supported and cool.

It’s thick, which can mean it’s quite heavy for putting on sheets, but also incredibly comfortable and thousands of reviews have stated it helps with back pain.

While it is firmer than my previous mattress, it was such a huge step up I barely even noticed.

It’s not going too far to say it transformed my sleep: I slept soundly from the first night and I feel more rested than I have done in years.

6. Zoma Hybrid Mattress

Close-up of Zoma mattress cover.
Credit: Lisa Burn

Zoma Hybrid Mattress, £599 (was £849)

Pros: Very comfortable, easy to sleep on from the start, supportive,

Cons: May be a little too soft for some, warm

Rating: 4.5/5

I tested the Zoma Hybrid in king size and from the get-go I found it incredibly comfortable to sleep on.

There was no having to get used to it for a week or so to break it in; from the first night I slept soundly and woke up feeling rested.

The mattress arrived vacuum-packed and rolled. After cutting away the plastic and leaving it to inflate for several hours it was ready to sleep on – and there was none of that plasticky smell, which you can get with bed-in-a-box mattresses.

I found it supportive, but not too hard, in fact I’m surprised just how soft it feels for a medium firm mattress. That’s a good thing for me, but some people may find it a little too soft.

The hybrid is made up of a pocket spring base topped by Zoma’s Reactiv response layer and finished with a layer of advanced gel memory foam with cooling channels.

Working together, these different sections cradle your body, shaping to its contours while providing optimum support and relieving any pressure points.

All of this is covered in a stretchy AirCloth fabric cover that wicks away heat.

The cover and the advanced memory foam together are designed to keep you cool as you sleep, however my only (little) complaint is I found it quite warm. Admittedly I was testing it over the summer though.

Zoma is a relative newcomer to the bed-in-a-box market in the UK but is well known in the United States and counts many athletes among its fans, because of the supportive foam which helps tired muscles recover and its pressure-relieving features, which reduce joint pain.

The company’s sustainable practices are also to be admired – zero waste from its factories go to landfill, returned mattresses are recycled or refurbished, all excess foam is repurposed and they will even recycle your old mattress for free on request!

Overall I think the Zoma Hybrid is a great mattress – I don’t feel like I’m sinking into it nor that I’m simply perched on top; it’s deliciously comfy and supportive at the same time. It’s also great at isolating motion – so much so I don’t notice my dog settling on it during the night (she loves it by the way).

Because it’s so lovely to sleep on, I never want to get up in the morning.

7. Brook and Wilde Lux Mattress

White mattress with orange trim on a white bed frame.
Credit: Joel Watson

Brook and Wilde Lux Mattress, £600

Pros: Supportive, comfortable, stands the test of time

Cons: Expensive

Rating: 4.5/5

The Brook and Wilde Lux mattress has two separate layers of memory foam which sandwich two layers of pocket springs, which means it’s pretty soft but also very comfortable.

I opted for medium firmness and my mattress arrived with white glove service, which saw two delivery people carrying it to the bedroom and removing all the packaging. Nice touch.

As with all bed-in-a-box mattresses, the Lux needed a few hours to expand but then was ready to go.

My first impression of the mattress was that it was pretty spongy for a medium, but I quickly discovered it is actually very supportive and incredibly comfortable.

Overall I love the Lux. After years of backbreaking, cheap mattresses it’s lovely to have a well-made, well-designed and comfortable mattress to sleep on.

8. REM-Fit 400 Hybrid Mattress

REM-Fit Sleep 400 mattress on a bed frame.

REM-Fit 400 Hybrid Mattress, £598.95 (was £1,089.00)

Pros: Provides excellent back support, incredibly comfortable, good to share

Cons: Not particularly attractive presentation on arrival

Rating: 4.5/5

If back pain is something you battle with, then it might be time to upgrade your mattress. If that’s the case, then the REM-Fit 400 Hybrid needs to be on your radar.

Granted, it’s not presented aesthetically, but that’s not a dealbreaker because this soft mattress helped to alleviate back issues.

As it’s a softer mattress, you can feel your partner moving around the bed a bit, but not enough to disturb your sleep or wake you up.

The REM-Fit 400 is also incredibly comfortable and very supportive.

If you’re more of a firmer mattress lover then this one might not be your cup of tea, but if a soft, moulding option is for you then get your hands on the REM-Fit 400 Hybrid.

9. Simba Hybrid Ultra

Credit: Joel Watson

Simba Hybrid Ultra, £2,799

Pros: effective cooling, supportive, UK-made with UK materials

Cons: expensive, hard to move, difficult to put sheets on

Rating: 4/5

The Simba Hybrid Ultra mattress is a premium mattress with a premium price tag to match, but its cooling properties are impressive.

I’m a warm sleeper and I find mattresses topped with memory foam can lead to me waking up sweating in the night, especially in the warmer months.

But that’s not been a problem since I started testing out the Simba Hybrid Ultra mattress

It only comes in medium-firm, which isn’t rock hard, but isn’t squishy either; instead, it’s supportive with a good amount of flex.

Simba says it’s got two layers of Simbatex foam on top to help with air circulation and that, combined with the firmness of the mattress, led to me retaining very little of the heat that I normally bottle up in bed.

Simba also says the Ultra is packed with technology to help with airflow, including how its 8,000 springs are configured, to keep air flowing around your body as they compress.

The downside of this mattress is the price, it’s pretty expensive, even for a premium mattress, with prices ranging from £1,999 for a single, to £3,459 for a king size.

On top of this, it’s very heavy and rigid, which means it’s a pain to manoeuvre, even if you’re just changing the sheets. If you’ve got to move this from one room to another, you’ll need a team of people to prevent it from becoming an ordeal!

In all though, this mattress delivers on its promise of giving you a cooler night’s sleep and will be a faithful servant in the summer months.

Just make sure you buy some extra deep sheets to prevent changing sets from feeling like a judo match.

10. Panda Hybrid Bamboo Mattress Pro

Panda Hybrid Bamboo Mattress Pro, £1,290

Pros: Feels supportive, really comfortable, cooling bamboo, sustainable, several layers of foam and 1,200 individually enclosed springs, helped sort out my morning aches

Cons: Heavy to move, expensive, took a couple of weeks to get used to the firmness

Rating: 4/5

There’s nothing like a good night’s sleep to set you up for the day – and a great mattress is a prerequisite for this – so testing the Panda Hybrid Bamboo Mattress Pro was a dream of a task.

This bamboo hybrid is composed of six layers that work together to support your body, keeping your spine aligned and easing pressure on your joints, which is essential for your hips if you’re a side sleeper.

I am. And a back sleeper. Sometimes a front sleeper too, so I’ve always wondered about mattresses that are designed for one or other of these, I mean, where do you start? No need to worry with this beauty though as it’s made to support all sleep positions in comfort – and it absorbs the movement that accompanies such a nighttime dance, keeping you sleeping soundly throughout.

The Panda hybrid bamboo mattress arrived wrapped in plastic and was dutifully placed in position by two helpful delivery guys (who obligingly took the wrapping with them when they left).

As with other ‘bed-in-a-box’ mattresses, it looked too thin, but, freed of its restraints, immediately began to swell. I left it to its own devices until bedtime, six or so hours later, by which point it had fully expanded.

The plasticky smell that seems to accompany these types of mattresses lasted a few days before dissipating, but it didn’t concern me as I was expecting it.

Memory foam has a reputation for being hot to sleep on so Panda has added a top layer of its BioCell Foam, which has an open-cell structure to increase airflow and breathability, coupled with bamboo for freshness.

Bamboo is naturally antibacterial and it helps regulate your body’s temperature, so it’s a great material to include in a mattress – and in the mattress cover. This one feels soft to the touch and it’s removable so you can wash it (handy).

I had no problems with fitting standard-depth sheets – even with several different layers the Panda Hybrid Bamboo Mattress Pro is not massively deep – and snuggled down for my first night.

It was firm. On the mattress firmness scale this one comes in at a 7, according to Panda, and it felt like I was lying on top of it, rather than sinking into it. This is not a bad thing, but it took a week or so to get used to after the softness of my old mattress.

During those first weeks there was a certain amount of give as we both became accustomed to each other and I’m glad to say it has all worked out fine; we’re very happy. I even wake up with fewer grumbling aches these days.

What is better, memory foam or spring mattress?

According to Simba’s mattress specialist Ian Atkins, ‘both are equally supportive and reliable [mattress options]’ but what really matters is the position you sleep in, because that will help you know what to prioritise.

Side sleepers usually need a softer layer to cushion the impact on the side of the body, while back and stomach sleepers do better with the support of springs that evenly distributes body weight.

Our Sun Shopping team tried the best memory foam mattresses and it’s so important to do your research to ensure you’re getting the best product and price for your needs.

If you are shopping around, head to our shopping mattress page dedicated to the best mattress deals, reviews and updates and once you have selected your preferred brand, open the live chat box and speak to a company representative to talk through the specifics of the available deals.

I’m no expert, but a combination of the two – aka a Hybrid – seems like the best of both worlds when picking a mattress.

While mattresses can be pricey, it’s an investment that’ll give you years of restful sleep – totally worth it!

However, if you’re looking for a bargain, we have done the hardwork and scoured the web for the best mattress deals, so you don’t have to.

Which mattress is best for back pain?

This advice isn’t to replace the opinion of a medical professional, and it’s really important to seek medical advice for back pain.

But if your mattress is giving you jip, there could be a couple of reasons why: including its age, its fabrication (not offering enough support), or its overall quality.

It’s really important to prioritise a good night’s sleep because we spend so much of our life in the sack.

Overall, you need support but comfort shouldn’t be ignored either.

Back pain mattress guide:

Simba’s mattress specialist Ian Atkins, recommends shoppers follow the advice below to help them pick the best mattress for back pain according to the position you sleep in.

If you have back pain but sleep on your front – Pick a mattress with a firm surface to keep your body supported, especially the waist area.

If you have back pain but sleep on your side – Pick a mattress that allows the shoulders and hips to sink in whilst at the same time having enough support.

If you have back pain but sleep on your back – Pick a mattress that allows the shoulders and hips to sink in, but is supportive enough to cushion the lower back area.

Remember, most online mattress retailers have LIVE chat boxes, so you can get real-time advice if you’re stuck not knowing what mattress to choose.

What size is a double mattress?

Double mattresses are a common size for shoppers as they fit easily in most bedrooms and offer enough room for couples to sleep comfortably.

Double mattresses are 135cm wide and 190cm long or sometimes described as 4ft 6ins wide and 6ft 3ins long.

A King size mattress is slightly bigger, measuring 150cm wide and 200 cm long, which is 5 feet by 6 feet 6 inches.

Its important to note that the mattress dimensions for each size varies around the world, so if you are buying a mattress internationally make sure you are buying the right dimensions to avoid disappointment.

What mattress is good for kids?

If you’re on the market for a new mattress for your child, check out the best mattresses for kids article.

They grow up so quickly and if you’re shopping for a child, it’s important to pick something that supports their growing bodies, similar to how you would approach picking a mattress for yourself.

Bare in mind that as they grow, their bodies will change and get heavier, so if you haven’t changed your child’s mattress in the last few years, just check there are no visible signs that its structure is past its lifespan.

How do I take care of my mattress?

Most mattress manufacturers include guidelines on how to look after your new mattress.

But common guidance is to flip or turn your mattress regularly to allow the internal fillings a break from supporting you, basically meaning your mattress is evenly used and wont dip and reduce the support in areas regularly slept in.

The above is the minimum you should be doing to take care of your mattress, reading the guidance provided by mattress manufacturers and buying accessories like mattress protectors etc could help extend the lifespan of your mattress.

If you’re wondering how often to change your mattress, look for signs of wear and tear, sagging, rips and well-worn dips where you commonly lay.

A WOMAN and teenage girl were reportedly sexually assaulted at a Sainsbury’s supermarket.

The pair were shopping at the store in Cherstey on January 23 when the incident took place between 1pm and 2pm, police say.

A man who witnessed the scene stepped in and told the suspect to leave the store, and leave the 20-year-old and 15-year-old alone.

Since this time, a 38-year-old man from Chertsey has been arrested and remains in police custody.

However, police are appealing for more witnesses to come forward.

A Surrey Police spokesperson said: “This occurred between 1pm and 2pm on Thursday, 23 January, in Sainsbury’s on Guildford Road, when the suspect sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl and a 20-year-old woman while they were shopping.”

They added: “We are now interested in speaking to any individuals who may have witnessed the incident, particularly the male member of the public who helped the victims.

Update in Diddy sex crime probe as disgraced star faces fresh trafficking claims from TWO MORE female ‘victims’

DISGRACED rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs has been hit with allegations from two more women into his alleged sex-trafficking charges.

Claims against the music mogul have been updated to now include shocking allegations from three women.

The locked up rapper is facing allegations of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

This newly filed New York indictment has not accused the disgraced musician of any new charges.

Federal prosecutors have added “Victim-2” and “Victims-3” to his bombshell case, according to TMZ.

Charges against the music mogul initially only listed “Victim-1,” who is believed to be his former girlfriend, singer Casandra Ventura, also known as Cassie.

Terrifying hotel surveillance footage from 2016, unearthed in 2024, showed Diddy physically assaulting his then-girlfriend.

Diddy was seen chasing Cassie before forcefully striking her then throwing her to the ground.

This gut-wrenching clip then showed the rapper kicking Cassie’s motionless body, in a hallway at the InterContinental hotel in Los Angeles.

Diddy was previously charged with subjecting “Victim-1” to sex trafficking.

These new court documents claim all three women were transported by the music mogul to “engage in prostitution”, according to TMZ.

Prosecutors added that the rapper “provided the victims with, among other things, monetary payments, career opportunities, and payment of rent and housing expenses”.

The new claims have also expanded the dates that Diddy’s alleged crime enterprise ran – which were initially listed at 2008 to 2024.

These updated court documents allege these crimes started in 2004.

Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo has claimed this shock update in the rapper’s sex crime probe was “flawed.”

“The latest Indictment contains no new offenses. The prosecution’s theory remains flawed,” Agnifilo said.

“The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all but were prostitutes.

“Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”

The attorney previously claimed the allegations from “Victim-1” were not evidence of sex crimes but were “consensual” acts between two people in a relationship, according to CNN.

Diddy, 55, is due to start his federal trial on May 5 but remains locked up in the “barbaric” Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

If convicted on all counts, the rapper could face life in prison.

SICK ORDERS

Diddy’s ex-assistant claimed the musician made him do horrifying acts to prove his loyalty to his “king”, The Sun has previously reported.

Phillip Pines alleged his boss once pressured him into having sex with a girl at a notorious “Freak Off” party.

Pines has accused the disgraced music icon of sexual battery, sexual harassment and other claims in a lawsuit.

The ex-assistant made these shocking allegations in a gut-wrenching documentary titled “The Fall of Diddy”.

Downfall of Sean 'Diddy' Combs

By The U.S. Sun’s Senior Reporter Forrest McFarland, who has been reporting on Combs’ legal battles for years

BEFORE Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest, it had been highly speculated that the rap star would find himself in custody after he was repeatedly hit with disturbing accusations – and had two of his mansions raided by the feds.

His mounting legal troubles finally came to a head on September 17, when he was charged with three federal counts, including sex trafficking, for allegedly forcing victims to take part in drug-fueled sex parties he called “Freak Offs.”

Hours before his arrest, The U.S. Sun exclusively revealed the feds investigating Combs were secretly liaising with Tupac Shakur murder prosecutors on gangland activities.

The development also came after Combs was named 77 times in documents submitted by prosecutors in the Tupac murder case.

Aside from the Tupac probe, Combs was already facing a slew of lawsuits, including one he settled with his ex, Cassie Ventura, after she accused him of rape and abuse.

Disturbing hotel surveillance video from 2016 showed Combs chasing Cassie down and then punching, kicking, and beating her in a hallway.

Two months earlier, in March 2024, two of Combs’ mansions were raided by federal investigators, who seized three AR-15s, drugs, and 1,000 bottles of lube which were part of his “Freak Off” supplies.

In addition to his federal criminal charges, Combs also faces a handful of lawsuits with allegations of sexual assault, harassment, and sex trafficking dating back to the early 1990s.

Music producer Rodney ‘Lil Rod’ Jones filed one suit in February 2024, claiming Combs forced him to hire sex workers and participate in sex acts while he worked on his latest album.

Combs has denied any wrongdoing and pleaded not guilty to the federal sex trafficking charges against him, but his battle is far from over.

He faces life in prison if he’s convicted on all counts.

Captaincy options for Gameweek 22: Mohamed Salah to light up Carabao Cup semi-final?

DREAM TEAM managers must remember to select their captain for Gameweek 22 before Saturday’s 11am deadline.

Generally speaking, it’s wise to stick the armband on a player with two point-scoring opportunities if possible.

And so assets from Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Tottenham are in the spotlight as those four clubs are set to pull double duty in Gameweek 22, courtesy of the Carabao Cup semi-final second legs.

Dream Team
Salah is the safe choice for a reason[/caption]

Mohamed Salah (£8m) is the first name that comes to mind as he leads the way with 339 points overall.

Liverpool are due to face Bournemouth on Saturday before hosting Spurs on Thursday night.

Two seasons ago, the Reds beat the Cherries 9-0 but a lot has changed since then.

Right now, Bournemouth are arguably the Premier League’s most in-form side having dusted Newcastle 4-1 and thrashed high-flying Nottingham Forest 5-0 in their two most recent outings.

Andoni Iraola’s side also boast the best defensive record in home fixtures this season.

On paper, Salah faces a stern test this weekend.

Bournemouth have outplayed several strong opponents this season[/caption]

That being said, the Egyptian superstar averages 10.6 points-per-game this season and even if he is constricted by Milos Kerkez (£3.6m) and company on the south coast then he may cash in against an injury-ravaged Spurs at Anfield a few days later.

Ange Postecoglou’s side beat Liverpool 1-0 in the first leg and so Arne Slot is expected to name a strong starting line-up on Thursday night with a view to targeting his first trophy as Anfield boss.

If Salah is going to be rested soon, it will surely be against Plymouth in the FA Cup fourth round.

Many Dream Team bosses will be wary of overthinking captaincy this Gameweek and so the prolific 32-year-old provides a safe, logical option.

Gaffers looking to take Salah on in Gameweek 22 would do well to consider Alexander Isak (£6.1m).

A rare double Gameweek for Newcastle makes Isak an appealing option

Fulham (league) and Arsenal (cup) is far from a favourable double header for Newcastle but the Magpies are the only team with the luxury of two home games this Gameweek.

The Toon’s Swedish striker has racked up 230 points via 19 goals this campaign – Salah and Erling Haaland (£7.9m) are the only names above him in the rankings.

Isak will be up against two good defences this coming Gameweek but his blistering form means he almost transcends the schedule.

Let’s not forget he banked 13 points against the Gunners in the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg.

Mikel Arteta, Arsenal manager, looks on.
Getty
Arsenal have two big fixtures in Gameweek 22[/caption]

Mikel Arteta’s side are not to be underestimated but it would take a brave gaffer to confidently pick out a captain among their ranks at this juncture.

Gabriel (£5m), Leandro Trossard (£3.9m) and Kai Havertz (£4.7m) have notched their fair share of points lately but Arsenal’s double header of Manchester City and Newcastle is a difficult one to predict.

If Bukayo Saka (£6.6m) was fit and firing then he would be a strong candidate for the armband but sadly that’s not the case.

It’s a similar story for Spurs.

Son Heung-min (£5m), Pedro Porro (£4.2m) and Dejan Kulusevski (£4.4m) have delivered plentiful points this term but it’s a stretch to think any of them are stronger captaincy options than Salah or Isak… isn’t it?

Cody Gakpo celebrates scoring a goal for Liverpool.
AFP
A bold alternative[/caption]

Cody Gakpo (£4.7m) is among the most popular recruits ahead of Gameweek 22 and his new owners might be tempted to slap the armband straight on him following his mighty 29-point return in Gameweek 21.

The Dutchman is technically Liverpool’s most in-form player right now but again, it would take some courage to opt for him over Salah.

Quiet with hard edge’ – Frank Lampard not surprised ‘tough’ ex-team-mate Andoni Iraola is shining as Bournemouth boss

ANDONI IRAOLA provided the steel in a star-studded New York midfield alongside Frank Lampard and Andrea Pirlo.

Now he is forging a quiet revolution at Bournemouth which has fans dreaming of playing in Europe for the first time in the club’s history.

And Lamps thinks they are a match made in heaven.

Since Iraola was appointed in June 2023 the unfashionable seasiders have gone from strength to strength.

Incredibly, the Basque-born Spaniard has taken the Cherries to a club-record 40 points at this stage of the season — one point off a Champions League spot.

Now, as they prepare for their biggest test against leaders Liverpool tomorrow, Lampard admits he is thrilled at how his former team-mate is quietly giving Bournemouth fans something to shout about.

Lamps, who returned to management with Coventry  in November, said: “The fact Andoni has risen to where he is now as a coach doesn’t surprise me.

“Although he was quiet and diligent he had a good understanding of the game and was clearly taking-in things and learning for a future in coaching.

“We only had one full season together with New York City in the MLS but we had a decent team.

“Andoni played in midfield alongside myself and Andrea Pirlo.

“We also had David Villa up front. That’s alright for starters, wasn’t it?

“Although our legs were on the turn, unfortunately, we still had the talent in our heads to do what we wanted to do.

“Out of the three he was the defensive guy for sure.

“I was chipping in with a few and playing my normal game — just not at the same speed as in my 20s!

“Pirlo could do whatever he wanted with the ball. He was just an incredible magician who could manipulate the ball to do anything.

“They were good days and Andoni provided security in midfield and had the experience to stay put while we were roaming around.”

Iraola has had to adapt this term given the Cherries’ injury problems. Despite those, they  still beat high-flying Nottingham Forest 5-0 last Saturday.

Iraola had already shown he can modify his game as a player.

Lampard explained: “Andoni arrived as a full-back but soon moved into midfield, so he could play both of those roles — long before the modern-day full-back who inverts into a midfielder.

“He was doing that naturally ten years ago.

“He played behind Andrea Pirlo and myself and read the game — maybe that’s where he got a feel for the tactical side of things.

LAND OF THE FREE

FRANK LAMPARD says Andoni Iraola immersed himself in the American way of life while they were teammates at New York City, writes GRAEME BRYCE.

And he revealed the Bournemouth boss was into popular US sports like baseball, basketball, ice hockey and American Football.

“One of the beauties of moving to the MLS was being able to sample a different way of life,” said Lampard.

“I’m so pleased I did it because, although we speak the same language, it’s a really different culture.

“And the sporting world is the same.

“You do socialise more than I was used to in the Premier League.

“Sometimes we’d travel to the West Coast and you spend two or three days there and you go out for some dinner together. It’s all a bit more relaxed around games over there.

“We’d often go to baseball games. We had a link with The Yankees anyway – so we’d go and watch the Yankees play baseball and the New York Rangers play ice-hockey.

“It was great for that and I seem to remember Andoni and David Villa bought very much into American sports.”

Lampard believes Iraola was the type of character who would have taken something from studying different sports.

“As a coach, everyone is different, but I think you can certainly learn a lot from American sports in terms of their approach, their coaching and different things,” he said.

“Statistics for example. I’m guessing Andoni would have had an eye on all of that stuff, he seems to me the studious type.

“I can remember him and David going to loads of games in different sports.

“However I can’t remember him ever having to sing an initiation song for the boys.

“I guess we were an older generation so maybe they didn’t want to ask us.

“My memories of it are of the young players tucking into social media and me thinking: ‘I’m getting too old for this game!’

“Things were moving really fast and I suppose Andoni and I were at the same stage of our careers, thinking about moving into coaching.

“He certainly comes from the Basque region, which is an area that produces so many great coaches.

“There’s obviously something in that.”

“Andoni was close to David Villa because of the obvious Spanish connection and he came across as the consummate pro.

“I really liked being in his company. He was a good lad who had obviously had a very good career in Spain with Athletic Bilbao, who he made over 500 appearances for.

“To have enjoyed such a long career with Bilbao, and then come to America to play for New York, there was something about him which was quietly steely I would say.

“He was quiet but I’m not stupid enough to judge him on that because there was definitely a tough edge to him.”

He was quiet and studious, yet on the pitch he had a hard edge and was very determined.

Frank Lampard

That steeliness came in handy at the start of Iraola’s spell as Bournemouth boss.

It took him TEN games before he managed his first Cherries win after taking over from the axed  Gary O’Neil.

Lamps added: “I think the marriage between Bournemouth and Andoni is a good one.

“He came in with a clear identity at the beginning, at a time when people questioned him because they were losing games.

Iraola has put Bournemouth above a string of top clubs in the table[/caption]

“But he stuck to his guns and the club recruited very well and supported their manager.

“He was quiet and studious, yet on the pitch he had a hard edge and was very determined.

“I hadn’t realised he had gone into coaching to be honest but when I saw that he was emerging as a talented young coach in Spain it all made sense.

“I thought he’s managed to transfer those qualities into management.”

Iraola’s team face an acid test against Arne Slot’s Reds but their 11-match unbeaten Prem run is a club record in the top flight.

He played behind Andrea Pirlo and myself and read the game — maybe that’s where he got a feel for the tactical side of things.

Frank Lampard

Lampard said: “They look so difficult to play against. I watched them against Chelsea recently and in the second half the energy and athleticism of the team and their connections and pressing was so good.

“If they carry on the way they are then they have European football on their radar, for sure.

“It’s a great story. I’ve got a lot of time for Bournemouth Football Club because of my family connections with Harry Redknapp, so I always look out for them.

“It’s a showpiece model club which has done really well from top to bottom in recent times.”

Popular Freeview TV channel to benefit from huge sports boost as long-running brand prepares to shut down soon

A FREEVIEW channel is set to receive a major boost in February as part of a major shake-up in UK sports broadcasting.

The overhaul has come about after the closure of two beloved channels.

Eurosport is leaving the UK after 35 years on-air, in a sad loss for Sky and Virgin Media customers – but it stands to benefit those with Freeview.

While much of Eurosport’s programming will move to the paid TNT Sports channels, some will go to the free-to-air Quest channel.

The brands are all owned by Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) which announced the closure of Eurosport 1 and Eurosport 2 earlier this week.

As part of the move, Quest will air every MotoGP Sprint race.

The channel will also host a new weekly cycling show, as well as highlights of the Giro d’Italia and La Vuelta a España.

Meanwhile, WBD Sports Europe chief Scott Young has said “parts” of the Tour de France will be shown on Quest too.

The changes are set to come into effect on February 28, when Eurosport will close down.

While the long-running brand will disappear from screens in the UK, it will continue to exist in other European markets.

It’s not been confirmed exactly which sports will move to TNT but it’s believed favourites like tennis will shift.

To access TNT Sports channels you’ll either need to pay £30 extra on top of a Sky or Virgin subscription, or subscribe to Discovery+ Premium which costs £31.

Elsewhere, reports suggest TNT may acquire the rights to the Six Nations from the BBC.

Highlight packages would remain on terrestrial TV as the competition is classed as a listed event.

WBD Sports Europe chief Scott Young confirmed they are “looking” at Six Nations but said a deal will prove “very challenging”.

Quest can be found on Freeview channel 12, Sky channel 144 and Virgin channel 169.

You can also sign up for a free version of Discovery+ which allows you to stream Quest live.

Even more changes expected soon

Analysis by Jamie Harris, Assistant Technology and Science Editor at The Sun

Broadcasting is going through an almighty shift at the moment with the push toward streaming at a key point.

Despite this latest move, Discovery+’s days are likely numbered.

The streaming service has closed in several countries already to make way for a replacement, Max, bringing HBO and Discovery content under one roof.

The UK is one of the few big markets where Max hasn’t launched yet because of existing agreements with Sky, allowing Sky Atlantic to air big HBO-made hits like Game of Thrones and The White Lotus.

But the pair recently announced a new deal that will pave the way for Max’s launch in the UK early 2026 as a standalone app, while Sky customers will get access at no extra cost.

So expect even bigger changes in the TV and streaming world next year.

The Apprentice viewers work out ‘real reason’ Lord Sugar saved candidate Carlo – as fans brand him ‘patronising’

THE Apprentice viewers have ‘worked out’ the real reason that Lord Alan Sugar opted to keep controversial candidate Carlo in the show despite him making a major error.

The BBC show kicked off its brand new series last night with 18 contestants all vowing to win the £250,000 investment from the business titan.

But it quite quickly became clear that one candidate was standing out amongst the rest – and not necessarily for the right reasons.

Carlo, a hair transplant consultant, made sure his voice was heard as soon as he entered the boardroom and instantly began his pitch within seconds of meeting him.

However, it seemed that he got his words in a muddle from the off as he spoke about wanting to secure “0.0% of the market” in a glaring blunder.

Introducing himself on the show, Carlo said: “So, at the moment, I’m a hair transplant consultant, so essentially, I connect patients to reputable clinics around the world.”

Without taking a breath, he then continued: “The industry is currently 5 billion and is expected to go to 46 billion by the end of 2026 and Lord Sugar, if we capture a mere 0.0%, we’ll hit some very impressive numbers.”

As the other candidates took a glance at each other, Karren swiped in to cheekily quip: “He’s already doing his pitch!”

The girls then enjoyed a giggle at Carlo’s expense as he looked on solemn.

Later, as the gang headed to Austria for the first task of the series, Carlo continued to rub his fellow contestants up the wrong way.

As they tried to advertise a €200 bike tour in Austria, Carlo repeatedly targeted the wrong customers going against the advice of his team.

At one point, he even tried to sell the extraordinarily priced tours to a 98-year-old man despite the fact he would have great difficulty in getting on the bike.

But fans now think that Lord Sugar opted not to eliminate Carlo despite his controversial participation as a result of making good TV.

One fan suggested online: “The only reason Carlo is left in is because Sugar knows he’s so unlikeable he’s good TV.”

His targeting of elderly people continued to rile up his co-stars and fans of the show even had something to say, especially when he shut down any help or advice from his team members.

One fan said: “Carlo is coming across as very patronising.”

Another added: “We are going to have to cope with Carlo for 11 more weeks…”

A third went on to say: “Carlo is annoying already.”

Before a fourth penned: “Carlo is a champions league yapper.”

Carlo remained in the contest whilst Emma Rothwell was given the boot and became the first contestant to be axed.

Speaking to The Sun after her elimination, she admitted she “messed up” after cracking under the boardroom pressure.

The Apprentice biggest moments

THE Apprentice has been a fan favourite ever since it burst onto the box in 2005.

Here we take a look at five of the biggest moments over the years on the hit BBC One show.

Tim Campbell – Former London Underground transport manager Tim Campbell won the first series of the reality show in 2005. He is now one of Lord Sugar’s aides on the show.

Sarah Lynn and James White – For the first and only time in the show’s history, both finalists were crowned winners in 2017.

Amy Anzel – Season 16’s fired candidate Amy Anzel was BANNED from the final celebration show, after a tit-for-tat exchange over Lord Sugar’s mocking tweets.

Michelle Dewberry – Telecoms consultant Michelle Dewberry won the second series of the show in 2006. However, after winning a six-figure job with Lord Sugar she lasted just four months before she sensationally quit.

Selena Waterman-Smith – We’re used to tensions running high in the boardroom, but in 2015 a disagreement between two candidates spilled over – for the first time – into a physical bust-up. Events manager Selina Waterman-Smith was given a verbal warning by show bosses for her role in an off-camera scrap with Charleine Wain.
