Supercar so rare only 10 were ever made is up for auction –  with 47 miles on clock, butterfly doors & speeds of 200mph

AN ULTRA-rare McLaren Senna XP, just one of ten in existence, is up for auction.

The powerful motor has just 47 miles on the clock and carries a 4.0L twin-turbo V8.

The engine reaches an incredible 789-horsepower and can easily reach speeds of 200mph[/caption]

The car comes in McLaren’s Victory Grey finish with orange accents and a carbon fibre body.

It features butterfly doors, a large rear spoiler and an engine that reaches 789-horsepower.

The interior reveals a carbon-black Alcantara cabin.

This road-legal super racer can go from 0-60mph is under 3 seconds and easily hit speeds of 200 mph.

This vehicle is number one of only ten factory validation prototypes produced.

The vehicle is being auctioned off with SBX Cars on January 9 2025, there is currently no guide price listed.

Short for experimental, this XP vehicle is being auctioned by SBX Cars.

The vehicles were originally made as validation prototypes and then sold to be completely rebuilt by McLaren.

The luxury car brand then offers them to private clients in new condition.

This particular car comes with an XP-90001 build plate, suggesting it was the very first Senna to come out of the McLaren factory.

A rare hypercar in standard form, the McLaren Senna XP is on a different level of exclusivity.

The vehicle is offered with German documents showing it was initially registered to the seller in January 2023, an EU left-hand drive specification, and EU CoC papers.

Per the seller, the vehicle can be sold on a net export price basis to non-EU countries and to commercial buyers in EU countries, except Germany.

For all other buyers, German VAT of 19 percent will be charged on top of the hammer price.

Given the ultra-low mileage on this 2019 Senna XP, it has not yet been serviced.

The vehicle was reworked at an official McLaren workshop for a factory recall on the electrical system and engine in August 2019, and for a factory recall on the fuel system in April 2020.

McLaren’s Senna is one of the most exceptional track-focused hypercars in history and the car-maker only ever built 500 of them.

The actress, 50, has revealed her TV exec boyfriend Jonathan Stadlen asks her to marry him all the time but she is yet to accept.

Emilia said: “Jonathan asks me to marry him every single day but we’re not officially married.

“Just saying we love each other each day has been enough for us in this moment. It has felt very romantic because there’s a choice every day to go, ‘Yes, I really want to marry you today.”

She adds to Woman and Home magazine: “He asks me in all different places and at different times. Sometimes when we wake up, sometimes it’s at lunchtime, sometimes on bended knee!.”

The couple have been together since 2021 – with rumours swirling they had tied the knot in January last year.

Emilia, who shares 14-year-old daughter Rose with former partner Jeremy Gilley says she has a new lease of life now she is in her 50s.

She celebrated the landmark birthday back in July.

Emilia said: “I’ve had a great time in the first half but Rose is now a teenager and I’ve packed a lot into trying to get that balance right with work and Rose. I think in my 50s there could be some fun!

“My actual birthday was quiet because I’d been filming until 4am.

“The day after we went for the most delicious family lunch at The River Cafe. Starting my 50s with the people that I love, how lucky am I?”

Beloved family-run retailer abruptly closes after 52 years on the high street

A BELOVED family-run retailer has abruptly closed after 52 years on the high street.

All Types Electrical in Rotherham shut for good after over five decades of trade on Christmas Eve.

The store, which sells electrical goods, was opened in 1972 by founder Maureen Stroughair and later taken over by her four children following her death.

Maureen’s daughter, Susan O’Brien, told the BBC that “changing shopping habits” forced the family to stop trading.

She added: “Since Covid, it’s got a lot worse.

“We can’t compete with some of the big shops but luckily we have had loyal customers that have come in.

“But it just gets harder and harder.”

Locals have also shared their devastation following the shop’s closure.

One wrote: “Very sad news, this little shop had everything and the price was always right. Will miss this shop and the friendliness of all the staff.”

While another said they were “gutted”.

It comes as a number of other independent retailers have also buckled under rising costs and slow sales.

For example, boutique pre-loved clothing store, The Closet at Harker, will close at the end of the year.

The Carlisle boutique has struggled despite its attempt to fill in a gap in the market, selling a unique blend of preloved, new, and “nearly new” high-brand ladies’ clothing.

Owners Debbie Armstrong and Kath Paterson confirmed the closure in a heartfelt statement on social media.

The post read: “We have made the tough decision to close our lovely little shop.

“We have given it a go for five months, which may not seem long, but when we’re not making enough money to pay rent, never mind pay ourselves some money.”

Elsewhere,  Baytree Interiors , which sells gifts, home interiors and furniture will close its doors in February.

The retailer operates seven stores across the north of England.

And it’s not just local retailers feeling the pressure.

Card Zone will close its Scunthorpe site in April and another store in Stroud, Gloucestershire next month.

Just this month, bosses at a number of prominent retailers have revealed plans to cut stores from their estates.

Garden centre giant Dobbies closed 12 of its stores before Christmas to help shore up extra costs following a restrictive plan.

Meanwhile, Homebase has confirmed that six of its sites will close before the end of the year.

These include sites in Sutton Coldfield, Bromsgrove, Cromer, Fareham, Newark and Rugby.

Three more Homebase sites in Derry, Inverurie, and Omagh are also set to close in the coming months, along with a branch in Glenrothes near Fife.

The garden and homeware retailer crashed into administration last month, but around 70 stores were rescued by CDS Superstores, the owner of The Range and Wilko.

At the time it entered administration, Homebase operated 141 stores.

Why are retailers closing shops?

EMPTY shops have become an eyesore on many British high streets and are often symbolic of a town centre’s decline.

The Sun’s business editor Ashley Armstrong explains why so many retailers are shutting their doors.

In many cases, retailers are shutting stores because they are no longer the money-makers they once were because of the rise of online shopping.

Falling store sales and rising staff costs have made it even more expensive for shops to stay open. In some cases, retailers are shutting a store and reopening a new shop at the other end of a high street to reflect how a town has changed.

The problem is that when a big shop closes, footfall falls across the local high street, which puts more shops at risk of closing.

Retail parks are increasingly popular with shoppers, who want to be able to get easy, free parking at a time when local councils have hiked parking charges in towns.

Many retailers including Next and Marks & Spencer have been shutting stores on the high street and taking bigger stores in better-performing retail parks instead.

Boss Stuart Machin recently said that when it relocated a tired store in Chesterfield to a new big store in a retail park half a mile away, its sales in the area rose by 103 per cent.

In some cases, stores have been shut when a retailer goes bust, as in the case of Wilko, Debenhams Topshop, Dorothy Perkins and Paperchase to name a few.

What’s increasingly common is when a chain goes bust a rival retailer or private equity firm snaps up the intellectual property rights so they can own the brand and sell it online.

They may go on to open a handful of stores if there is customer demand, but there are rarely ever as many stores or in the same places.

Christine McGuinness says her ‘heart is full’ after spending Christmas with ex Paddy and the kids

Christine McGuinness said her “heart is full” after spending Christmas together with her ex-husband Paddy and the kids.

Even though they have been divorced for two years they decided to spend this special day together with the children.

They still live in the same family home for the sake of their three children who all have autism.

Former model Christine, who also has autism, told Woman’s Own magazine before the holidays: “The last thing we want to do is upset our children over Christmas, so we’ll make sure we’re all together.”

Take Me Out presenter Paddy shared a photo on Instagram of his feet wearing Santa socks and the words: “Christmas Day done! We played, we laughed, we got heartburn. Same again next year!!! Kids in bed, tinnies out, telly on! From my family to yours, Merry Christmas.

Christine posted a photo of herself in a red Santa dress, saying, “Being present is the greatest gift of all. “I’m only a day late with the Christmas post!

“I’ve been busy just taking it all in (and if I wasn’t late, I wouldn’t be me). My heart, my home, and my camera roll are full of happy children. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas.

Christine revealed that Christmasses are usually “quiet, because the children get overwhelmed with the changes.”

“So we try to keep it like a normal day but with presents.”

When they split, they told The Mirror: “While ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus was as always is to continue loving and supporting our children.

“This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children.

“We’ll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together.”

Since their split both of them have been busy with TV work.

Paddy McGuiness is currently presenting Inside The Factory taking over from Gregg Wallace, while Christine will appear on Celebrity Hunted partnered with Duncan James from Blue.

Christine has been open about her dating plans and even keeps a dating diary.

My dad installed CCTV cameras as he is convinced my mum has been cheating on him

DEAR DEIDRE: MY dad installed CCTV cameras where my mum works because he is convinced she has been cheating on him.

They argue constantly and he accuses her of all kinds of things.

I really worry about them and their relationship, and I don’t know what to do.

I’m a 26-year-old guy and still live at home while I complete my studies.

My mum, a caterer with her own kitchen premises, is 55 and my dad, 57, is an engineer.

I have an older brother, who no longer lives at home.

Mum and Dad used to be happy together, but over the past few years they haven’t been getting on.

I hear them fighting when I’m in my room studying, and they bicker whenever we have meals.

My father seems to find fault with whatever my mum says or does — from what she cooks to what she wears. This has made Mum spend as little time around him as she can.

She often works at her kitchen, which is a ten-minute drive away, until late.

Of course, this has just made Dad even more suspicious.

Things came to a head last weekend when my mother found a CCTV camera in her kitchen.

When she confronted my father, he admitted he’d put it there because he was sure she was having an affair with one of her younger male employees.

He’s been watching the footage on his laptop at home.

He is totally paranoid and Mum is absolutely furious. They have been fighting loudly, and it’s horrible.

Living with them is becoming impossible but, even if I could afford to move out, I don’t want to leave my mum.

Should I confess to my long-term partner that I’ve slept with another woman?

DEIDRE'S STORIES

Louise is let down by Pete again but can't seem to let go

DEIDRE SAYS: Your parents’ relationship is extremely toxic, and it’s no surprise that you find it so uncomfortable to be around them these days.

I wonder if something has happened that you are unaware of – a past affair, for example.

Your dad’s extreme behaviour sounds abusive.

It’s possible he has developed some sort of cognitive impairment, causing this change.

You need to talk to your mother and tell her how you feel.

Ask her to be honest about what is behind all this.

Tell her you are worried about her and your dad, and say they need to get help to sort this out.

Perhaps he needs to see a doctor. You should suggest she reads my Abusive Partner? support pack.

You could also talk to your brother to see if he can help, or shed any light on what may be going on.
