GEORGE Williams has revealed a dose of rugby union can help him crack the code and end Warrington’s title drought.
The Wolves have amazingly gone 70 years without being crowned kings of the 13-a-side game.
George Williams has revealed how Warrington may bring in more plays from rugby union as they look to end their rugby league title droughtSWPIX.COM
But England skipper Williams, a key cog of Sam Burgess’ side, has lifted the lid on how things from 15-a-side may help break defences.
And it is all thanks to a ‘genius’ – first team coach and former England RU attack supremo Martin Gleeson.
He said: “We’ve got a genius with the ball in Martin.
“And he’s sending me rugby union clips, that’s how much he loves it and he’s saying, ‘How can we transfer this over?’ He’s non-stop but that’s how you get better.
“He’d show me a scrum play in union and ask, ‘How can we get this to work? ’He’s always on it, which is good for me.
“There may be different rules and a couple more players but you can still put on similar plays. We’re always thinking of how to improve and there’s a fair bit already been brought in, you may see even more coming up.

“It’s down to the tiniest of details. He looks at things in so much depth through so much footage. I’m analysing everything in my game now.
“He’s been so good for my development at 29/30-years-old. You’ve seen a fair bit in your career but I feel like he’s improved me.
“It’s not that I didn’t enjoy it, but I love it again. I’m obsessed with winning and looking at training. He’s brought another spark to me, which is good at my age.”
Stand-off Williams, 30, knows what it takes to win after coming through at Wigan.
Now to finally end the most unbelievable of title droughts and that much heard chant, ‘It’s always your year.’
Wolves boss Sam Burgess is eyeing the title in his second seasonSWPIX.COM
And after taking time to get used to what Burgess wants in 2024, it can be all systems go from the off in 2025.
He added, despite yesterday’s 20-12 trial match loss to Leigh: “We learned some valuable lessons about ourselves as a team. I think we found our identity to be honest.
“We built good foundations but still weren’t good enough. We’ve made some great inroads, though, in building an environment to win.
“That foundation’s laid, we know what’s demanded and what we need to do.
“We had a couple of issues in adjusting to what Sam wanted and what he wanted Warrington to look like.
“There are certain values we stand by now. We’ve everything we need to win – now’s the year to kick on.”
4 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on All the discontinued chocolate bars returning to supermarket shelves this year including rare Cadbury treat
WE’VE all had a favourite chocolate bar be cruelly discontinued, but luckily those retro classics are not always gone for good.
Chocolate manufacturers regularly discontinue items in the face of declining sales, but sometimes they’re brought back in response to fan demand.
AlamyMuch-loved chocolate bars often make a return even after being discontinued[/caption]
Among those to have been banished from shelves only to later make a return are Cadbury’s Wispa bar.
The bubbly chocolate bar was first launched in 1981, only to be discontinued in 2003, when the chocolate maker relaunched its Dairy Milk brand.
But the strength of public opinion convinced Cadbury to bring back the Wispa bar in 2007 and it’s remained on shelves since.
While Wispa returned permanently, other nostalgic chocolates have only been brought back for limited runs.
For example Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Marble bars made a short-term return to B&M stores after a petition to bring the chocolate bar back attracted more than 20,000 signatures.
So, if you’re mourning a favourite chocolate bar don’t despair, it may be back on shelves soon.
Here are all the bars we know are set to make a return and those you may have already seen on shelves:
MarsMilky Way Crispy Rolls will be returning to shelves next week[/caption]
The treats were sold in B&M, but sadly did not signal a return of the original Fuse bar.
B&M regularly sources nostalgic chocolate bars that have been discontinued in the UK, but are still sold in other markets and Cadbury confirmed that this was the case here.
AlamyThere was uproar when Nestle announced it would discontinue Caramac bars[/caption]
For a limited time shoppers could get their hands on a classic single bar, three-bar multi-pack and sharing bag of buttons.
Shoppers urged Nestle to make the return permanent, but it has yet to confirm this will be the case.
The chocolate bars fans would most love to see make a return
In 2022 a survey commissioned by Jackpotjoy asked 2,000 participants which retro chocolates they'd most like to have in their 'dream selection box'. The top 10 were:
Cadbury Dream – 8%
Cadbury Marble – 7.9%
Cadbury Aztec – 7.8%
Cadbury Time Out – 6.9%
Milky Way Crispy Rolls – 6.2%
Kit Kat Caramac – 5.9%
Mars Delight – 5.7%
Cadbury Fuse – 5.6%
Cadbury Astro – 5.3%
Fox’s Echo – 3.6%

Rebrands in the confectionary world often leave legions of nostalgic fans behind them – think Opal Fruits, Dime and Raider.
So, last year Mars decided to delight fans and bring back Marathon bars, 34 years after they were rebranded as Snickers.
The bar, which consists of nougat, caramel, and peanuts wrapped in milk chocolate, was called Marathon when it made its way over to the UK from the US in 1968.
And for a few months of 2024 Snickers bars sold in Morrisons featured a return to the retro branding.
Mars Senior Brand Manager Steve Waters had said: “We’re excited to bring back the Marathon bar branding for a limited period.”

Strawberry-flavoured Aero bar
Last year a chocolate bar was spotted in stores after an absence of some 50 years.
Strawberry-flavoured Aero bars were described as “lovely”, with a fan adding that it “taste[s] like strawberry milkshake”.
Aero, then produced by Rowntree’s, had first launched a strawberry version of its bubbly chocolate in the 1970s, but it didn’t stick around for long.
At that time the confectioner would often experiment with different flavours for its Aero brand including coffee, rum, orange and lime.
Fifty years on, the new strawberry bars appeared exclusively on Spar shelves in May, before being rolled out across other retailers from the beginning of July.
Cadbury brought back its Top Deck bar on a limited run to mark its 200th anniversary

Last year also saw Cadbury confirm it had brought back a “yummy” 90s chocolate bar after giving it a makeover.
The bar boasted two generous layers of creamy white and milk chocolate, meaningchocolate aficionadosgot the best of both worlds.
While the return was met with delight Cadbury said the the much-loved bar, which first launched in 1993, would only be returning to shelves for a limited time.
The coffee creme Quality Street has made a return
Quality Street coffee creme
In 2023 Nestle brought back a Quality Street fan favourite last seen in chocolate tubs over two decades ago.
The chocolatier brought its coffee creme flavour back ahead ofChristmas, and it made a limited return again in 2024.
While the chocolates weren’t in regular tubs they were available to add to pick ‘n’ mix tins, sold at selected John Lewis branches.
How to save money on chocolate
We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…
Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.
Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

GASPING for breath, Danielle Secker felt her eyes roll back into her head as her boyfriend pinned her against the wall, squeezing his arm against her neck.
Terrified for her life, she lashed out at thug Jamie Cannella, 34, seeing him release his grip.
Danielle Secker has bravely opened up about the horrific abuse she suffered at the hands of her ex Jamie CannellaHotSpot MediaHotSpot MediaShe was subjected to physical abuse at the hands of the brute[/caption]
HotSpot MediaDanielle pictured with a black eye after Jamie’s attack in December 2023[/caption]
Moments later, though, he strangled the helpless mother-of-one.
Despite his vicious assault, it was Cannella who called 999, telling police that Danielle had a knife and was ‘threatening to kill herself’.
When five officers arrived, Danielle, 26, hoped they’d take Cannella into custody.
However, an officer announced, “You’re under arrest for common assault”, before handcuffing Danielle and driving her to the station.
For 18 hours she was held in a cell before officers realised she was the victim and released her without charge.
In July 2024, Cannella was found guilty of controlling and coercive behaviour, intentional strangulation and actual bodily harm.
Now, Danielle is speaking out to raise awareness of domestic abuse.
Danielle, from Luton, says: “I couldn’t believe I was arrested that night, even after explaining what Jamie had done to me.
“It was horrific being placed in a cell and made to feel like a criminal.
“They should’ve listened to me, not that manipulative monster.
“I’m just relieved he’s finally off the streets unable to harm anyone else.”
Danielle met Cannella in 2015, at a birthday party, when she was 17.
Within weeks Danielle claims Cannella became controlling, isolating her from friends and family.
Danielle, who works in a school, says: “I just thought he was being protective at first.”
In January 2018 the pair moved in together and the following month, things took a sinister turn when Cannella locked Danielle in the house to attend a funeral, not returning until the early hours of the next morning.
When Danielle questioned where he’d been, he flipped.
She remembers: “He grabbed me by the throat and punched me in the face.

Cannella was jailed for five years this year and given a restraining orderHotSpot Media
“Afterwards he told me to leave, so I went to stay at my grandparent’s house, covering the nasty bruise on my chin with make-up.”
The following day, Danielle’s manager at work noticed the mark and asked about it.
After confessing Cannella’s attack, she escorted her to the police station where she made a statement.
But blinded by love, she decided not to press charges.
Over the next few weeks Cannella grovelled and the pair got back together.
A month later, Danielle fell pregnant but at 11 weeks, she sadly lost the baby, however she says Cannella didn’t offer her the support she so desperately needed.
She says: “Jamie couldn’t have cared less.
“While I ran out of the room after the sonographer confirmed there was no heartbeat, he barked ‘you’re an embarrassment’, it was awful.”
Over the following years, Danielle walked on eggshells around Cannella before eventually falling pregnant again.
Terrified of Cannella’s reaction, she kept it secret until she was five weeks along and he pushed her down the stairs.
As she tumbled she revealed that she was expecting once again.
Danielle says: “Thankfully at an ultrasound the following week showed the baby was OK.
How you can get help
Women's Aid has this advice for victims and their families:
Always keep your phone nearby.
Get in touch with charities for help, including the Women’s Aid live chat helpline and services such as SupportLine.
If you are in danger, call 999.
Familiarise yourself with the Silent Solution, reporting abuse without speaking down the phone, instead dialing “55”.
Always keep some money on you, including change for a pay phone or bus fare.
If you suspect your partner is about to attack you, try to go to a lower-risk area of the house – for example, where there is a way out and access to a telephone.
Avoid the kitchen and garage, where there are likely to be knives or other weapons. Avoid rooms where you might become trapped, such as the bathroom, or where you might be shut into a cupboard or other small space.
If you are a victim of domestic abuse, SupportLine is open Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to 8pm on 01708 765200. The charity’s email support service is open weekdays and weekends during the crisis – messageinfo@supportline.org.uk.
Women’s Aid provides a live chat service – available weekdays from 8am-6pm and weekends 10am-6pm.
You can also call the freephone 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0808 2000 247.
“And at first Jamie was excited.
“But when he found out it was a girl, he complained he wanted a boy.
“Nothing I ever did was good enough.”
Cannella’s violent outbursts continued and when their daughter, Vallentina, now two, was born in April 2022, his abuse continued.
Soon after, he punched Danielle in the face during an argument and when she tried to escape, he blocked her way.
Danielle called her auntie for help who notified the police.
Cannella was arrested but Danielle, terrified of the prospect of being a single mum, didn’t press charges again.
In December 2023, Danielle was dealt a further blow when she discovered he’d been seeing an ex.
She says: “When I confronted him, he punched me in the face.
“Then he grabbed my hair and dragged me around the hallway. He then pounded the side of my head, before stomping on my back.”
Cannella wasn’t finished.

HotSpot MediaDanielle shows the strangulation marks left by Cannella[/caption]
As Danielle went to comfort her baby, who was crying, he pushed her against the wall, placing his arm against her neck.
She remembers: “I couldn’t breathe. His eyes were black with rage.
“He told me ‘I’m going to put you to sleep’.
“Thinking he’d kill me, I lashed out. Holding his keys, I scratched his nose.”
After releasing his arm, Cannella yelled for an ambulance, before strangling Danielle again.
Bizarrely, when the assault was over, he called the police, claiming Danielle had a knife and was threatening to ‘kill herself’.
While Danielle dropped her daughter at a neighbour’s, five officers attended the address.
Cannella tried to convince them Danielle was ‘out of her mind’.
Danielle recalls: “One male officer took me aside in the kitchen and I was hysterically telling them about his attacks.
“Despite visible bruising over my face and body, including red marks to my neck and clumps of hair missing, he told me I was under arrest.”
For the first time in years, I’m thankful to be living my life free from fear and violence
Danielle Secker
With that, she was handcuffed and escorted to a police van.
At the station she was booked in, but upon seeing her injuries, an officer drove her to Bedford Hospital.
Thankfully, a CT scan showed everything was normal.
Danielle explains: “I was taken back to the station where officers interviewed me.
“I revealed all about Jamie’s abuse.
“Yet I was kept in a cell for hours.”
“The following morning, I was released with no further action.”
Meanwhile, Cannella had been arrested and charged with controlling and coercive behaviour, intentional strangulation and actual bodily harm.
He denied all the charges.
In February 2024, before the trial, Danielle received a written apology from Bedfordshire Police in relation to her arrest.
The investigation into conduct said that the management and decision making during the incident was ‘extremely poor’ and they ensure that ‘learning is taken from this incident to ensure it never happens again’.
Danielle says: “I’m still angry at the way they treated me as a victim of domestic abuse but glad that they decided to use what happened as a lesson and to implement better training for their officers in domestic abuse cases.
“Hopefully it’ll never happen to anyone else.”
In June 2024, Danielle bravely gave evidence against Cannella at court before he was found guilty and caged for five years and handed a restraining order.
She says: “For the first time in years, I’m thankful to be living my life free from fear and violence.”

4 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on Chelsea set to sign French wonderkid Eli Junior Kroupi after beating London rivals to £30m transfer
CHELSEA are set to pay up to £30million for 18-year-old French strike sensation Eli Junior Kroupi.
The teenager has hit nine goals in 18 appearances for second-division leaders Lorient and is keen to come to the Premier League — if the move is right for him.
GETTYWest Ham are hot on the heels to sign Eli Junior Kroupi[/caption]
GETTYBut they could end up being pipped to his signature by Chelsea[/caption]
Blues have jumped ahead of Prem rivals West Ham and Bournemouth for Kroupi, who made his top-flight debut at 16 for the club where his dad, Eli, also played.
The French youth cap also picked the country of his birth over Ivory Coast, where his father was a full international.
Chelsea hope to win the auction but a major obstacle will be whether they plan to keep Kroupi at Stamford Bridge or send him out on loan.
Kroupi and his camp want to take on the Prem now rather than wait — and he is also eligible for Uefa’s Conference League.
Hammers prefer to do a deal based on a lower down-payment plus add-ons, while Bournemouth have also been in talks with Lorient over a move worth less cash but with a quicker route into the first team.
Blues are also ready to loan out teens Aaron Anselmino and Marc Guiu.
Anselmino, 19, is seen as a future star but Chelsea think he needs half a season playing to toughen up.
Sheffield Wednesday want the Argentinian defender, while Scottish giants Rangers have also inquired.
Spanish striker Guiu, also 19, could be sent out to a Championship club to gain experience, with Leeds, West Brom and Middlesbrough keen on the former Barcelona starlet.
Blues boss Enzo Maresca told fans to expect some movement in his pre-match press conference on Friday.
The Italian said: “‘You can expect players arriving and you can expect players leaving.
“It is like this in this moment.
“I don’t have any idea about the ones that can leave and the ones that can arrive.
“Anything can happen, we will see.
“For me the main focus is just 48 hours, the game, it is the main focus and the most important thing.”

THE January transfer window is heading towards a frantic finale!
The iPhone SE 3 during the sales launch at the Apple Inc. flagship store in New York on 18 March, 2022Getty
But rumours of a fourth iPhone SE model have circulated the web since February 2023.
The tech giant has not released an iPhone SE, its cheapest model type, since 2022.
What will it look like?
Leaked images from well-known tipster Majin Bu show what could be the new iPhone SE 4 – which may also be called the iPhone 16E.
The new handset is expected to have a flat-edged 6.06-inch OLED display, a significant upgrade from the iPhone SE 3’s 4.7-inch LCD panel.
Apple is also anticipated to axe the Home Button once and for all.
In terms of camera, the iPhone SE 4 is expected to come with a single 48MP rear lens – which is on par with the iPhone 16.
For selfies, the device may get a 12MP front-facing camera.
It doesn’t look like Apple’s newer Dynamic Island design will be making it to the iPhone SE 4 – though Apple could still surprise us.
However, there are some new features ahead.
New features
The iPhone SE 4 may carry Apple’s newer A-series chip and 8GB of RAM.
This will should give it enough power to run new Apple Intelligence features.
No home button would also mean no Touch ID.
The new model is expected to ring the final death knell for the beloved Touch ID fingerprint scanner, which will be replaced with Face ID.
In light of new EU regulations, all future iPhone models must have a USB-C charging port – and the iPhone SE 4 is unlikely to be an exception.
Release date
Several reports suggest Apple has set the iPhone SE 4 release date for March 2025.
Though it may arrive slightly later.
The three previous SE models have all been announced in either March or April.
Price tag
The iPhone SE 3, which was released alongside the iPhone 14, ranged from $429/£449 to $579/£609.
That is a far more inviting price than the iPhone 14 Pro, which retailed at $999/£1,099.
The iPhone SE 2 clocked a slightly lower price tag, ranging from $399/£419 and $549/£569.
So a slight increase in price from its predecessor, the iPhone SE 3, seems likely.
iPhone tricks to try today
Here are some of the best...
Typing cursor – When typing, hold down the space bar to turn your keyboard into a trackpad, letting you move around words and sentences more easily
Close all Safari tabs – To do this in one go, simply hold the overlapped squares in the bottom right-hand corner, and press close all tabs
Delete lots of photos quickly – Hold down on a photo and then drag your finger diagonally in Photos to select lots of images at once, then hit delete
Convert currency quickly – Swipe down from the top of your Home screen, then tap in the bar and type a currency (like €200) and it will automatically covert to your local currency
Check if you’re due a battery upgrade – Batteries inside smartphones degrade over time. Just go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health, and check out the Maximum Capacity reading. Generally a battery is considered worn when you’re down to 80% capacity. If you’re below, you can buy a battery swap from Apple
Move apps around faster – Hold an app until it starts wiggling, then (while still holding) tap other apps, causing them to stack so you can move them around easier

SEVEN have been killed and 15 injured when a luxury bus plunged into a 200ft gorge after slamming through a barrier.

Cops in Gujrat, India, said five people died instantly and 17 were taken to hospital with two later dying of their injuries.
The driver is one of the dead – which includes three men and two women.
The bus lost control on the Nashik-Gujarat highway just after he had taken a tea break at Saputara hill station.
Local official Mahesh Patel said the crash happened due to break failure.
He said: “As per the passengers, they had tea and breakfast at Saputara before resuming their journey. It is likely that the driver lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure.
“Medical staff are working diligently to treat the injured persons.”
Photos showed the smashed-up blue double-decker bus at the bottom of the gorge with the roof entirely collapsed.
The pilgrims were from Madhya Pradesh, a large state in central India, and were on their way to Dwarka in Gujarat.
