Coronation Street’s Mick and Lou’s son will be revealed and he’s already on the cobbles – but there’s a huge twist

CORONATION Street’s Mick and Lou are hiding a massive secret that will be revealed before their exits this summer – their son.

The nightmare neighbours, played by actors Joe Layton and Farrell Hegarty, have caused chaos since arriving on the show earlier this year.

And while The Sun has now confirmed they will both leave the show in the summer – they are set to leave a lasting reminder – their son.

It can now be revealed that their son will turn out to be another newcomer to the show – thug Brody.

A source said: “It’s going to be a big shock when Brody is revealed to be Mick and Lou’s son but it’s clear the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

“He’s been terrorising Dylan in the Secure Training Centre just like Mick’s been terrorising the residents on the cobbles.

“But there’s going to be a massive twist that reveals Brody isn’t Mick’s son – he’s really Kit Green’s.

“It’s going to be explosive as Kit discovers the truth and finds out he’s had a kid for years.”

Brody is played by former Hollyoaks star Ryan Mulvey, while Kit is played by his former Hollyoaks co-star Jacob Roberts.

Actors Joe and Farell will bow out of the show just six months after joining this summer in shock exits.

A Coronation Street spokesperson confirmed their exits and said: “Mick and Lou were brought into the show to cause chaos on the cobbles in the build up to a major storyline in the summer and they are already making their presence felt.

“Joe and Farrell were contracted for a specific length of time, some characters come in for a long time and some like Mick and Lou are brought to pass through and leave a trail of destruction behind them.

Coronation Street's 2024 shock exits

Corrie has said goodbye to several cast members this year. Let's break down who's left the famous soap:

Eliza Woodrow (Savannah Kunyo) has said farewell to Corrie to start a new life in Germany.

The youngster moved to live with her dad Dom Everett, who went back on the £10,000 bribe Eliza’s grandfather Stu had offered to keep him out of her life.

Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will bow out of the soap this summer when he loses his fight with motor neurone disease (MND) in tragic scenes.

After being diagnosed last year, the fan favourite was devastated to learn he only had months left to live.

Viewers know he is planning to take his own life to end his suffering.

Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) departed the cobbles after being offered the opportunity of a lifetime to study in America.

Though she struggled to decide with her stepdad Paul’s impending death from MND, she was convinced she had to live her life to the full.

Simon Barlow (Alex Bain) has struggled with the sudden departure of his father Peter from the cobbles.

The Weatherfield legend left his family and loved ones behind on Boxing Day, 2023, when his wife Carla Connor encouraged him to travel around the world with a friend.

Simon’s been on a downward spiral ever since and his exit could end in tragedy.

Alya Nazir is set to leave the cobbles as actress Sair Khan prepares to go on maternity leave ahead of the birth of her first child.

It looks likely she’ll be heading to Dublin after securing a lucrative new job, leaving her colleague and fling Adam Barlow behind.

Show stalwart Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, is taking a break to star in the Sister Act The Musical UK tour. She will be back filming in May once her dates on the tour come to an end.

Her character left the Street after her son Jason broke his back after falling off a moped in Asia.

“Both actors are still filming with the show and will be on screen until the summer.”

Coronation Street has been contacted for comment.

The surprising body part which makes Sydney Sweeney the sexiest woman on the planet – and the science that proves it

[/boxout]

The ‘golden ratio’ rule

As well as making a lasting impression with her stand-out eyes, there’s another scientific reason why Sydney’s beauty is considered so alluring.

According to plastic surgeon Onur Gilleard, it’s down to the ‘golden ratio’ formula, which relates to the proportion of Sydney’s physical features.

Dr Gilleard says: “The beauty of Sydney Sweeney is rooted in the fact that her facial features are symmetrical and closely aligned with perfect harmony and proportion.

a diagram of a woman 's face shows the nose projection two thirds of length and lip width 1.6 times that of the nose
As well as her stand-out eyes, the ratio of Sydney’s facial features also contributes to her ‘classic’ beauty

“These ideal facial proportions are often referred to as the ‘golden ratio.’

“The golden ratio in facial proportions can be applied both horizontally, known as the “rule of fifths,” and vertically, known as the ‘rule of thirds’.

“For example, an attractive female nose, when viewed from the side, should have a gentle curve, its projection (the amount it protrudes from the face) should be approximately two thirds of its length, and the angle between the nose and the lip should fall between 95-100 degrees.

“The ideal chin position is considered to be approximately 1mm behind a vertical line dropped from the upper lip [and] high, well-defined cheekbones are a significant indicator of female beauty.

“When analysing Sidney Sweeney’s face, nearly all of her facial features adhere to the golden ratios, which is why she is referred to as a “classical beauty.”

With her beauty and brains, maybe this is one Hollywood starlet who really proves you can have it all.

I’m a bowel doctor and there are 3 things I do every day to keep cancer at bay – plus my top toilet tip

[/boxout]

AND… THE HABITS TO AVOID

Alongside things to do more of, Dr Rakshit lists habits worth avoiding.

Doing the following could lead to issues like piles, or even worse, bowel cancer, she warns.

1. Never ignore the urge

Don’t put off going to the toilet when you feel the urge as delaying a bowel movement can contribute to constipation, says Dr Rakshit.

2. Don’t strain

Straining when passing stools, often a sign of constipation, can be caused by a low-fibre diet, dehydration, lack of exercise, certain medications or underlying medical conditions like Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).

Dr Rakshit said find the cause and treat it.

3. Ban your mobile

Taking your phone to the toilet might seem like a great source of entertainment, a good way to stay connected, or something to do while you wait.

But it can increase the time spent straining, leading to piles, bleeding and fissures, warns Dr Rakshit.

She adds: “It’s also very unhygienic.”

4. Meat alert

With red meat and processed meat shown to increase bowel cancer risk, Dr Rakshit recommends keeping this to a minimum.

She advises: “Ways in which to do this include having meat free days, swapping red meat with fish, chicken or beans, pulses or lentils and reducing your portion of red meat or processed meat to less than 70g per day.”

Bowel red flags to look out for

JUST as important as looking after your bowel health is spotting any serious underlying conditions.

Dr Rakshit says to look out for the following:

  1. A change in bowel habits, such as diarrhoea and constipation, that lasts more than three weeks.
  2. Bleeding from the bottom or passing blood in stools
  3. Unintentional weight loss
  4. Unexplained abdominal pain
  5. A lump in the abdomen

If you experience any of these symptoms, speak to your GP.

After leaving their posts, both hosts were stunned to discover it was all an April Fool’s prank by producers[/caption]

But as the duo were bringing viewers the latest news of the day, an alarm activated in the studio.

Stopping them in their tracks, Nat then turned to her co-host and asked: “Are we being told to evacuate?”

Shirvo replied to her as he stood up: “That’s a fire alarm, we should go.”

Nat waited on direction from the show’s producers, as she was insistent on carrying on the programme.

She said: “I don’t want to evacuate my post Shirvo, I think we should stay. I can’t see a fire.”

Eventually they were ushered by crew to leave their posts and evacuated the studio while remaining on air.

Nat told viewers at home: “We’re still on, this has been going on outside the offices.

“Now, they’re telling us in the studio to go.”

However, it turned out to be an epic April Fool’s Day prank by Sunrise’s bosses and there was no emegency.

As Nat and Shirvo left the studio a door carried the message ‘April Fools’ as a crew member sprinkled gold confetti into the air.

Chelsee Healey’s Hollyoaks future revealed as boyfriend faces 14 years in jail over supplying drugs

Sources close to Chelsee say she is no longer in a relationship with Eddie[/caption]

She briefly returned last June to film funeral scenes and in January competed on Dancing on Ice before she was swiftly eliminated by the public vote.

Now The Sun can exclusively reveal that Chelsee IS returning to Hollyoaks after an extended break.

A source said: “Chelsee’s returning to filming this month after her leave.

“She’s had a tough time in her personal life recently but she’ll be back filming soon and that’ll help take her mind of it.”

The news comes just days after The Sun on Sunday revealed the identity of her father of her youngest child, Cookie.

Chelsee had tried to keep his identity a secret ever since Cookie’s birth in December.

But The Sun on Sunday revealed that he is Eddie Rainford, 31, who pleaded guilty to supplying Class B drugs at court on January 23, just four days after she was eliminated from ITV’s Dancing on Ice.

He is now facing up to 14 years in jail when he is sentenced on Friday at Manchester crown court.

Rainford is currently on remand at Forest Bank Prison in Greater Manchester, sources say.

After her ice exit, Chelsee hinted at the tough time she had endured away from the cameras, saying: “There has been a lot going on with me that I have been struggling with.”

A source said: “What Chelsee was desperately coping with while on the show was that her partner, the father of her youngest daughter, was in court for drug-dealing and has been sent to prison on remand.”

Another insider said she was no longer in a relationship with Rainford.

Rainford is charged with being concerned in the supply of a quantity of cannabis between November 11, 2022, and September 28, 2023, in Salford.

Co-defendant Jay Boyd faces the same charge.

My mum fell pregnant with me at 12 – now I’m 26 & she’s 39…the truth about being raised by teens always surprises people

A YOUNG woman has revealed that her mother fell pregnant with her when she was just 12-years-old.

Now, Danyela Marshall, 26, has candidly opened up on what it was really like to be raised by teenagers.

Danyela was born when her parents were just 13-years-old and now her mum and dad are both 39, Danyela has shared all on her relationship with her young parents.

The content creator, who has almost 10,000 followers on TikTok, also debunked the myth that she and her mum must be ‘best friends’ because of their closeness in age.

Reflecting on her relationship with her mum, Danyela said that while everyone assumes they are “best friends”, it’s actually the “parallel opposite.”

She revealed: “I didn’t have that friendly dynamic that everyone would assume with my mum.”

Danyela claimed that while they share “a good relationship” and are “close”, there is a “barrier” when it comes to talking openly because her mother was such a strict parent growing up.

She confessed: “I think naturally, just because of the age she had me at, she didn’t want me to go down that path.”

As a result of her strict upbringing, Danyela “was not promiscuous at all” and instead, she joked she “was probably still playing Sonic [the Hedgehog]” at 13.

Danyela described her mum as a “proper solid rock in my life”, adding that she is a “serious” person who encouraged her to focus on “goals”, whereas her father is more like a “mate”.

Danyela’s mum and dad became parents at 13, while they were both in Year Seven – the first year of secondary school

She shared: “Experimental 12-year-olds that they were, I came about.”

Soon after Danyela was born, her mum took her away to live in Birmingham, where her own mother – Danyela’s grandmother – lived.

She acknowledged that her family never let her see her dad as her family were “very angry” with her father when her mother became pregnant at the age of 12.

UK Teen Mum Statistics

Teen pregnancies in the UK have been decreasing considerably since 2007...

The under-18 conception rate has decreased considerably since 2007, reports Nuffield Trust.

Between 2007 and 2021, the under-18 conception rate in England and Wales decreased by 68%, from 42 per 1,000 women to 13 per 1,000 women.

This resulted in 13,131 under-18 conceptions in England and Wales in 2021.

But despite this, Danyela doesn’t agree that the blame should automatically be passed on to the male.

Danyela then claimed that from the moment her father was allowed to come and see her again, he has consistently remained in her life.

Reflecting on being raised by teens, Danyela shared: “They’ve both done the best job they can. Everyone does always say how much of a credit I am to them – and they’re a credit to me.”

I think naturally, just because of the age she had me at, she didn’t want me to go down that path

Danyela Marshall

Danyela’s mother had to drop out of school to raise her, but later went back to continue her education.

As a result, Danyela is “so, so, so proud of the woman that my mum is today.”

Danyela explained: “She obviously had to drop out of school. She found it tough to get back into school, but she still went back. [She] did her GCSEs, did her A-Levels… smashed it.”

Rather than feeling embarrassed, Danyela, who described herself as “quite a spoilt child”, is in awe of her mum for raising a baby when she was just a child herself.

Social media users react

Danyela’s story, which she posted on her TikTok account under the username @danyelamarshall, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 356,100 views in less than a week.

It’s crazy to see it from your perspective. I’m curious to see how my daughter sees me

TikTok user

It’s also amassed 34,400 likes and 545 comments, and many eagerly flocked to share their thoughts.

One person wrote: “Your mum most probably felt like she had a lot to prove becoming a mum so young. Well done to her.”

Here's why I love being a young mum

Tracy Kiss, who fell pregnant at 19, has revealed what she believes are the pros of being a young mother.

The personal trainer and blogger, from Buckinghamshire, believes women who give birth in their teens make BETTER mothers than those in their 30s.

She claims young mums snap back into shape quicker, have more energy and relate more easily to their children, meaning they’re better behaved and happier.

Tracy told Fabulous: “Women who become first-time mums in their teens make better parents than those in their 30s or 40s.

“I believe if I’d been 10 or so years older before becoming a mother then I wouldn’t have the relationship I have with my children now.

“For a start, being older I would have had less energy and therefore less patience.

“I wouldn’t be as enthusiastic to speak to people after months of sleepless nights as I was in my teens.

“My body snapped back to its pre-pregnancy size through fitness post-birth, which in turn gave me the confidence to date and find love again. I’ve never been happier than I am now at the age of 30 with two children.

“If I’d have been alone at 40 with a newborn baby I’d be more tired, less happy with my body, less energetic and far more stressed from the shock of living my life for myself instead of putting others first. Sometimes age and the innocence of ignorance is a good thing.

“As a teen mum I just got on with it, found my feet and became responsible and capable because at the time I didn’t know any different.”

A second shared: “I was at school with your mum and watching her navigate motherhood and being a teenager was so admirable. I’m so glad to see you doing so well! You’ve grown into a beautiful woman, Danyela.”

Someone else said: “Must’ve been stressful for them and their families as kids but now it’s definitely a blessing having parents so young.”

Meanwhile, one mother explained her story and penned: “I had my daughter at 14. I’m now 28. It’s crazy to see it from your perspective. I’m curious to see how my daughter sees me.”
