3 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on I live in a SHED with my family of 6 to avoid renting – one bedroom & bathroom is all we need, my husband did the DIY
LIVING in a shed might sound awful, but this family have turned one into their dream home, even if it is slightly cramped.
The shed houses the family of six, despite there only being one bedroom and a total of 768 sq ft.
YouTubeThe mum showed off her tiny home on YouTube[/caption]
YouTubeInside, the space looks nothing like a shed and has plenty of storage too[/caption]
Natalie, who is based in South Carolina, explained how they transformed it with a few savvy DIY tricks on YouTube, leaving people amazed.
“There’s one bedroom, one full bathroom, a large kitchen, dining room area, and a living room and loft,” she explained.
So, where does everyone sleep in a shed with just one bedroom?
Luckily, the space also has a loft area, which is where the older children sleep, while the two youngest sleep in the bedroom with mum and dad.
The cost of the shed and the initial DIY ended up costing $68,000, which would’ve been a lot more if it wasn’t for Natalie’s husband’s savvy skills.
Despite the low cost, shed life appealed to the family for the simple fact that they can live rent free whilst their permanent home is being built.
“We wanted to live on our land and we didn’t want to pay rent, so this was a way to basically live for free,” the mum explained, adding that they’re “too big a family” to live in the shed forever.
And when their forever home is finished, the family can sell the shed to make their money back
Inside, the shed looks a lot bigger than you might imagine thanks to some savvy interior design.
The large kitchen has everything a family of six with four kids 10 and under would need, and the dining nook is perfect for family meals.
As for storage space, there’s plenty of that too, including a cupboard for coats, a printer and more.
There’s also a large kitchen pantry for all their extra food and appliances.
The shed even has a full size washing machine and tumble dryer, the mum revealed.
The open plan living room has a large corner sofa with plenty of space for the whole family, and the bedroom looks like it could be in a swanky hotel, not a shed.
As for the loft where the two eldest children sleep, there are two double mattresses on the floor because of the low ceiling height, but still plenty of room.
After showing off the home on YouTube people were amazed by how posh it looked.
One commented on the video: “Wow…. I am in AWE of what you did in this ‘shed’ for your family. Well Done!”
And a second agreed: “Wow! you did a great job decorating, it looks so cosy and well organised. I love the windows over the sink.”
And another said: “Amazing! Every detail is so well thought out to provide maximum storage and utility while looking fabulous!
“Such a beautiful home but I definitely wouldn’t call it a shed. It’s definitely in a different category.”
Meanwhile, someone else suggested keeping the shed rather than selling it when the family’s permanent home is finished.
They wrote: “The way the future is going, I would keep that house on your property.
“Gives an option for your children to have some what of independence as costs are so high and most 18-25 year olds can’t live on their own.
“Plus, you’re building a larger home. This would be a beautiful mother in law/ guest house or even air bnb.
“It’s beautiful and you guys did an amazing job.”
The rise of tiny homes
By Jonathan Rolande
Property expert Jonathan Rolande told Fabulous: The reason we are seeing more creative ways of finding a home: super-high property prices and rents. Younger people are remaining in the family home later in life to avoid paying high prices and to save for a deposit. With increasingly busy lives, staying within a larger family group makes sense, chores such as gardening and housework can be shared.
Garages are rarely used for their intended purpose as cars are far more reliable and less prone to rust and so are perfectly happy outside. On the other hand, the amount of property space per person has been shrinking – converting a garage can make great sense.
Things to consider. (the boring stuff)
Usually easier than building from scratch but still a lot to do to turn a garage in to a habitable space.
You’ll need to check if you need planning (more likely to be required if the garage is detached).
Building Regulations stipulate many things to make homes safe and secure. Consider
Walls, are they cavity?
Roof height
Windows
How will you get plumbing, electrics and drainage connected
Insulation – it will be cold!
Fire safety
Damp proofing
Also consider if, by converting, you are adding or deducting value from the main home. Garages can add value in busy urban areas where parking is limited.

3 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on I had £20k facelift at 42 after mortifying moment – my old face was thrown in the bin & now men in their 20s chat me up
ONCE upon a time, “work” meant a boring 9 to 5.
Today, in my world, it means Botox, filler, polynucleotides, Profhilo, micro-needling and… facelifts.
The surgeon removed 2.5cm of loose skin from around Clemmie’s neckDan CharityClemmie before having her bandages removed[/caption]

Dan CharityAs someone who’s always looked young for their age, suddenly I didn’t, writes Clemmie[/caption]
Which is why, at the age of 40*, I found myself supine under the surgeon’s scalpel.
Yep, I’ve had a facelift (full transparency, also a neck-lift).
And I’m not alone.
******* *******, **** *******, ***** *****, **** **** and ***** ******: all A-list British superstars who have had secret facelifts.
Except I can’t name them due to a tedious thing called “medical privacy”.
In an online world where women – and men – are under unprecedented pressure to look good, ageless celebrities and influencers are fuelling the myth that they, somehow, are better than the rest of us by virtue of a snatched jawline. They’re not.
In most cases, they’ve spent tens of thousands of pounds to look this way, but won’t come clean for fear of eroding the facade, or tarnishing the brand. And, in my book, that’s not fair.
(Indeed, two stars semi-outlined above pre-recorded Instagram posts to upload whilst they were recovering from surgery).
So how did I get here?
Sunbathing, crash dieting and a skin care regime that can, at best, be described as slap-dash.
To paraphrase Baz Luhrmann, if I could offer you one bit of advice: wear sunscreen. Really. Do.
As someone who’s always looked young for their age, suddenly I didn’t.
I developed a jowl. My crows’ feet tapered down to my mouth.
And in selfies (yes I’m still a millennial), my neck was crepey and wrinkled. In a photo taken days before my op, I zoomed in was genuinely devastated to see the neck of an octogenarian staring back at me.

Dan CharityFor £20,000, I wasn’t convinced I wanted to simply look rested, I wanted foetal, says Clemmie[/caption]
Dan CharityClemmie, pictured in the operating theatre, says she found herself avoiding photos with friends and turning down on-camera work[/caption]
On nights out, people stopped asking my age.
I no longer got attention in bars which, as superficial and pathetic as it sounds, I missed. That old adage rattled out by middle aged women started to apply: I felt invisible.
But not so invisible that at Waterloo station, a salesman from Scottish Widows didn’t veritably leg over and thrusting some forms in my hand. Evidently I was looking of pensionable age.
The next day, I booked in with Mr Paul Tulley.
For £20,000, I wasn’t convinced I wanted to simply look rested. I wanted foetal.
Surgeon to the rich, famous and very successful, I contacted him after seeing his work on Instagram.
It looked subtle and understated; not a bride of Wildenstein in sight, God bless her cosmetic soul.
My first consultation took place last May in his Harley Street clinic, where I enquired about a mini-facelift – a procedure requiring just a couple of stitches, and minimal downtime.
“No, you’re beyond that I’m afraid,” he said. “You need a deep-plane face and necklift.”
Oh.
Mr Tulley, it seemed, was not a man for small talk.
He stood me in front of his full-length mirror, and gently pulled up the skin on my sagging visage, explaining I’d lost around two centimetres of laxity.
“With surgery, we can fix this,” he reassured me.
“By re-suspending and reshaping the deep tissues, together with re-draping the skin and trimming the excess without tension, we can take the face and neck tissues to where they were 10, 15 years ago.
“You have good bone structure, and I’d expect an excellent result. People won’t know you’ve had surgery, they’ll just think you look well rested or like you’ve been on a long holiday.”
For £20,000, I wasn’t convinced I wanted to simply look rested. I wanted foetal.
Six weeks later I had a second consultation, and asked a few more questions: what was the down time? (one night in hospital, two weeks rest, no gym for three weeks), would surgery improve the condition of my crepey, sun-damaged skin? (yes), would I look fake? (no), would it hurt? (no, because drugs) and could I still walk the dog? (gently, short walks).

Dan CharityClemmie admitted to spending £5,000 a year on ‘tweakments’ before opting for the surgery[/caption]
When I got home, obviously I Googled “death rates + facelift”.
The results were pretty reassuring. Of course, as with any procedure performed under general anaesthetic, there are risks – but the biggest seemed to be hematoma, which is basically clotted blood, or some temporary nerve damage.
At this stage though, surgery still all sounded like some sort of vague, amorphous concept that would never come around.
But working in showbiz, writing day-in, day-out about the young, beautiful and Botoxed – and then seeing myself back on camera on the occasional TV thing – was making me feel increasingly sad.
I found myself avoiding photos with friends, wanting to go out less and turning down on-camera work.
I was also spending a small fortune on various “tweakments”.
Botox and filler (around £450 each a pop), Morpheus 8 (£1200 for a course of two, excruciatingly painful, did absolutely nothing), Profilho (£650 for two sessions, only lasted four months), trout sperm (£800 for three, bad bruising) and Sculptra (£750, useless).
So not only was I spending around £5,000 a year trying (and failing) to reverse time, I was still feeling crap about myself.
The idea, then, is that by having surgery I will have effectively paid if off after four years – as well as saving countless hours trudging to Harley Street after work.
Pre-op, I was given a £285 course of Skinade MD – capsules, and two types of sachet drinks which were to be necked daily.
Containing a mix of collagen peptides, vitamins and L-Lysine, the idea was to reduce swelling and expedite healing from the inside-out.
I found myself avoiding photos with friends, wanting to go out less and turning down on-camera work.

Wednesday 13 November was D-Day. Checking into the super-smart Weymouth Street Hospital in central London, and shown to my own suite, Mr Tulley went through the surgical process once more, and marked me up.
Last minute, we’d decided to give me a nano-fat graft for under my eyes – a process involving fat being taken from my tummy and thighs and whacked in around the wrinkled hollows to the windows of my soul. In for a penny, eh.
With Dan the photographer merrily snapping away, I was wheeled down to theatre at 2pm for general anaesthetic, administered by consultant anesthetist Ravi Bhagrath. (“A little prick, and it’ll feel like you’ve drunk three glasses of fine champagne very quickly” he said, entirely speaking my language).
Dan CharityAfter the five-and-a-half-hour surgery, Clemmie took a selfie and sent it to her team at work, mates, family and Robbie Williams[/caption]
Dan CharityThe only painful bit came from an infection which saw Clemmie in agony on night five[/caption]
By day four I was back at work, albeit remotely, says ClemmieDan Charity
Five and a half hours later, groggily I came around.
It was done. The worst was over. I was alive.
‘HAPPY FACELIFT DAY!’
Back in my hospital room, off my tits on morphine, I took a selfie and promptly sent it to my team at work, my friends and family, my boss, my dog-walker, and Robbie Williams.
The latter replied with a dulcet-toned voice note, singing “Happy facelift day!” to the tune of happy birthday.
That night, a wonderful, wonderful nurse called Suzanna tended to me, changing my sodden bed sheets (general anaesthetic causes the body to sweat excessively).
The following day Mr Tulley removed my bandages, and said the op had gone well. During it, he’d also removed two and a half centimetres of loose skin from my neck. (Inexplicably I asked him what he’d done with said skin. “The bin”.)
With trepidation, I looked in the mirror.
Honestly? It was like I’d jumped in a mystical time machine and gone back 12 years.
My baby skin was back!!! Not a single jowl in place. The lines around my eyes were visibly reduced.
“Look at my beautiful neck!”, I started telling anyone who would listen.
My neck, which has been causing me so, so much angst was the neck of my 28-year-old self.
HEALING JOURNEY
The next few nights I was to sleep on my back, with my head propped up on three pillows. I was packed off with enough drugs to fell a rhino and ordered not to move around for the first 48 hours.
By day three, I was in Gail’s cafe meeting my best friend for coffee, and taking the dog for a walk.
By day four I was back at work, albeit remotely. By day five I was doing 10,000 steps a day, and scrubbing the house.
Such is Mr Tulley’s artistry I didn’t get a single bruise, and the scars behind my ears are barely visible to the naked eye.
The only painful bit came from an infection which saw me in agony on night five, crying at 4am with piercing ear ache.
It turns out my left ear got wet during a shower, but a quick trip to A&E and one steroid injection to the bum later, I was right as rain.
My stitches were removed after a week, and no-one batted an eyelid as I marauded around the capital in a fetching nude stocking headdress.
Three weeks after surgery I enjoyed a six-hour boozy work lunch. In a bar that night, two 29-year-old blokes chatted me up.

Dan CharityI hope, in coming clean, I help at least one person currently feeling insecure about their looks, says Clemmie[/caption]
Seven weeks post-op Mr Tulley sent me to top aesthetician Aga Kopanska, at Art of Beauty in Belgravia, London – an expert to whom he sends all his clients.
A facial magician, she gave me three sessions of microneedling, exosomes, some blue and red light treatment, polynucleotides and dermaplaning. Within 10 days, a tiny patch of crepey skin had disappeared and my pigmentation had disappeared.
Just before Christmas I went to Piers Morgan‘s festive party and had at least four celebs asking what I’d had done. I gave two, who shall remain nameless, Mr Tulley’s contact details.
Whilst facelifts were once the preserve of 70-year-olds, now more and more “youngsters” are getting them.
There are over three and half a million #facelift hashtags currently circulating on Instagram and TikTok, with more and more influencers posting about their “deep plane journeys”. It’s already HUGE business in California, New York and Texas, and increasingly becoming more here.
Writing this two months on, life has returned to normal… only now I have the skin of my 34-year-old self. And my 34-year-old confidence has returned.
My left eye is still puffy from the fat transfer and yes, it’s been bothering me. But I’m assured it will settle down with a bit of self-massage.
I hope, in coming clean, I help at least one person currently feeling insecure about their looks
Clemmie Moodie
(Confession: upon seeing my photoshoot “after” pics, I asked Dan the photographer if he could possibly “touch-up” the offending left eye area and he – quite rightly – refused. So yes, it’s not perfect yet, but it’s better).
In writing this piece, and breaching my own medical privacy, doubtless I will get trolled.
“You can’t polish a turd!” and “you vain b****, there’s a war going on!”, etc, will be the gist of the online abuse. And that’s fine.
Perhaps feminism isn’t just socio-economic and political equality for women. Perhaps, just maybe, it’s about doing something entirely selfish and decadent for no-one but you. And then owning it. Because you can.
For me, that’s a teeny-tiny bit empowering.
I hope, in coming clean, I help at least one person currently feeling insecure about their looks.
Whilst some friends haven’t noticed a thing. I notice. Even if it’s entirely psychosomatic, I really don’t care.
In short, I feel like me again. And that’s all I ever wanted.

3 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on Soaps have fallen off their pedestal – ITV’s shock changes to Corrie and Emmerdale could save them, says former star
SOAP star Ross Adams reckons the dramatic shake-up in ITV’s schedules could save our soaps.
Coronation Street and Emmerdale fans were shellshocked when the channel announced it was slashing episodes from 2026 and feared the worst for their beloved shows.
Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been rocked by major cutsRexBut former soap star Ross Adams thinks it could be for the best
But Ross, who is best known for playing Scott Drinkwell on Hollyoaks from 2015 to 2024 but started out as a runner on Corrie in 2010, believes the move could BOOST ailing viewing figures after the once-loved shows have “fallen off their pedestal”.
From next year, the channel will make an hour less soap content a week and air Corrie and Emmerdale as two back-to-back, 30 minute episodes amid a budget crisis.
Ross, 41, said: “I actually hope that this will give them their special quality back.
“I feel like over the last couple of years, I don’t know if it has anything to do with COVID and the fact that people are watching telly differently, but I feel like the soaps haven’t been on the pedestal that they once were.
“Long term it will protect the shows. It will protect their legacy.
“I feel like it will steady the ship and I think actually it will improve viewing figures.
“I just go back to when I watched it was a kid, it was on at 7.30pm, we would sit down and watch Corrie from half seven to eight o’clock and loads would happen.
“I think if people see that it’s an hour-long episode I might not have the time to watch a full episode. But if it’s half an hour – without the adverts it’s like 20 minutes of your time – which doesn’t feel like such a big commitment.
“Maybe that’s what puts people off watching, because they might not have time to sit and watch for an hour. But 23 minutes, people have time to do that.
“I think people will become invested again and tune in.”
After starting out on soaps as a Corrie runner, Ross then became a PA to the soap’s top boss Phil Collinson – who led the soap through the famous tram crash for its 50th anniversary.
In 2013 he moved to Emmerdale where he spent 18 months as a storyliner. He was promoted to script editor after 18 months and stayed in the village until he got the role of Scott on Hollyoaks in 2015.
It means Ross knows his stuff.
He added: “Soaps have to change, they have to evolve with the audience and the way in which people are watching telly, but at Hollyoaks, for example, where they went digital first, viewing figures have improved and the show has become stronger.”
Lime PicturesRoss worked on Corrie and Emmerdale before joining Hollyoaks[/caption]
ITVEmmerdale will become 5 30-minute episodes broadcast at 8pm[/caption]
Ross has been through redundancy himself, after losing his job on Hollyoaks last year.
He’s now starring on Channel 5’s hit drama The Good Ship Murder, playing the ship’s entertainment director Colin Smallwood.
He added: “Obviously it’s awful for the people whose jobs are at risk, because I remember the meeting we were called into at Hollyoaks, where they reduced the output by two episodes and also shortened the episode length.
“For people like me, a northern actor, I wasn’t from a family with money so the opportunities for me to work in telly were really limited.
“If it wasn’t for soap the opportunities would be even fewer for people like me.
“And for the viewers, they can appeal to so many people, no matter what your age or background, you can sit down, watch a soap, and you will always see something that you can resonate with.
“They are so important and it would break my heart if we lost that. They are so special.”
Soap's most harrowing teen storylines
We take a look at other harrowing teen soap storylines from soaps Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.
Belle Dingle’s schizophrenia in Emmerdale – Belle’s (Eden Taylor-Draper) traumatic journey in Emmerdale took a dark turn when, after accidentally killing her best friend Gemma at just 16, her mental health began to spiral.
The storyline, which saw Belle struggling with her grief and guilt, showcased her battle with hearing Gemma’s voice inside her head, leading to a dramatic decline in her well-being.
Hannah Ashworth’s anorexia in Hollyoaks – Viewers were horrified as they watched Hannah (Emma Rigby), a seemingly innocent teen, spiral into dangerous behavior, starving herself in an attempt to achieve what she thought was the ideal body.
As Hannah’s condition worsened, the storyline became more intense, culminating in her being hospitalised for two months as she fought for her life.
Bethany Platt’s grooming ordeal in Coronation Street – Vulnerable schoolgirl, played by Lucy Fallon, was at the centre of one of Corrie’s darkest storylines to date when she fell under the spell of her older boyfriend and sexual predator.
The controversial scenes saw Nathan groom and manipulate the 16-year-old before coercing her into sleeping with his friends, with one of them raping her.
Whitney Dean’s abuse from Tony in EastEnders – Since the age of 12, she had been in a twisted relationship with her stepmum Bianca’s boyfriend, Tony King. The predator had groomed young Whit (Shona McGarty), making her believe she was in love and planning to run away with him.
On her 16th birthday, the traumatised teen finally revealed the years of abuse to Bianca. Tony was swiftly sent to prison sentenced for 13 years.
3 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on I’ve tried Apple’s surprise new iPhone ‘Invites’ app for seeing pals – you’ll miss out if you ignore small detail
APPLE has just dropped a surprise new app for your iPhone – and I’ve tried it out.
It’s called Invites and it’s meant to make it easier to see pals, but there’s a little detail that might ruin things for you. Even if you’re just trying to organise drinks at the pub.
Sean Keach / The SunThere’s a brand new Apple app out on your iPhone called Invites[/caption]
Sean Keach / The SunIt’s available to download right now, and is meant to make it easier to see pals and family[/caption]
First off, what is Invites?
Well it’s meant to help you invite people to events that you’re planning, and then manage those guests afterwards.
It won’t be on your iPhone by default. You’ll need to go to the App Store to find it.
The app didn’t show up right away when I searched for it. So instead I looked for Apple TV, tapped on the Apple brand, and then downloaded the app from the page.
By the time you read this, it’ll probably be easier to bag.
Once you’re in the app, you can get started with creating events.
I was able to choose a background – you can pick anything you like, but there are some presets, including fun emoji-themed ones.
Then you set up a title, as well as a date and time. There’s also the option for “All Day” if you’re planning something big.
You get the option to plug in a location and an event description too.
Where it gets a little more exciting is the Shared Album option.
You can create an album that anyone who comes to the event can add to.
That way, everyone can stick in their snaps – rather than you having to beg for pics from mates over WhatsApp for days afterwards.
And if you’re throwing a party, there’s also the option to create a Shared Playlist.
This lets guests add their songs to a music playlist that you can use at the event.
Sean Keach / The SunYou can even throw a beer party – but there’s no guarantee that anyone will turn up[/caption]
Sean Keach / The SunYou can customise the event with descriptions, dates and times[/caption]
Don’t worry: if someone picks something naff, you can simply delete it. It’s your party.
Once the event is set up, you can invite people – and manage the RSVPs.
If you want, you can set it up so that you can deny entry to certain people. This might be useful if you’re creating a more public event.
And you can send notes to guests at any time updating them on plans.
Sean Keach / The SunThe app will show you a preview of the invitation that your guests will receive[/caption]
There’s an option to sync your event to your calendar so you don’t forget about it too.
It all sounds pretty handy, so what’s the catch?
Well it turns out that the app isn’t free – or rather, creating events isn’t.
You can be a guest and RSVP to events created with the app even if you don’t have an Apple account – or an iPhone.
Sean Keach / The SunYou can set up a public event or a private one – and there’s the option to approve or deny guests[/caption]
But if you want to use the app to create invitations, you’ll need to subscribe to iCloud+.
In the UK, that’ll cost you at least £0.99 a month – or $0.99 in the US.
So if you’re not willing to fork out for that, you’re stuck.
Of course iCloud+ comes with some other benefits – it’s not just this app.
ICLOUD+ PRICES – HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Here's how much iCloud+ costs in the UK each month based on the amount of storage you get with each tier...
50GB – £0.99 / $0.99
200GB – £2.99 / $2.99
2TB – £8.99 / $9.99
6TB – £26.99 / $29.9
12TB – £54.99 / $59.99
And here’s Apple’s official list of iCloud+ perks:
Expanded storage allows users to keep large libraries of original, high-resolution photos, videos, and files safe in iCloud®, and easily accessible across all of their devices and the web.
Private Relay keeps browsing in Safari® entirely private from network providers, websites, and even Apple.
Hide My Email generates unique, random email addresses whenever needed.
HomeKit® Secure Video allows users to capture and review home security footage in an end-to-end encrypted format.
Custom email domains enable users to personalize their iCloud email address.
Family Sharing allows users to share their iCloud+ subscription with up to five people at no extra cost.
With the base plan, you’ll also get 50GB of iCloud storage to back up your files.
There’s a Private Relay feature to help hide your browsing activity, and Hide My Email to create fake email addresses to reduce spam.
And you can also use Family Sharing to let up to five people in your household borrow your iCloud+ subscription at no extra cost.
There’s a good chance that you might already have iCloud+, so just head into Settings > [Name] > iCloud on your iPhone to check.
Sean Keach / The SunYou can easily filter the app to see upcoming and past events, as well as drafts, parties you’re hosting, and gatherings that you’ve agreed to go to[/caption]
In any case, remember that when you create an event, you can share it with anyone. They won’t need iCloud+ to see it.
It seems like a decent way to create, share, and manage events.
People might not want to use it for weddings where physical invites can feel more personal.
But if you’re throwing a birthday party or just want to go for pints down the pub, it’s pretty easy to chuck something together with Invites.
Of course, it can’t guarantee that anyone will actually come. There’s no app for that yet.
ITVJimmi Harkishin has seemingly had his scenes slashed as his character will go absent[/caption]
ITVDev Alahan will recieve some bad news from his family in India[/caption]
ITVHe will ask his partner Bernie to accompany him halfway across the world[/caption]
Up to 75 staffers are set to depart the company as the commercial network has slashed the number of episodes of Coronation Street and Emmerdale.
The cuts will be made across the cast, crew and writers as redundancy talks are now underway.
However, it seems the next character whose scenes will apparently be slashed is Dev Alahan.
Actor Jimmi Harkishin, 59, first joined the cobbles in 1999 playing the bumbling corner shopkeeper.
However, he is set to seemingly depart the soap for the time being after his character will receive some bad news.
He will tell Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) that his Aunt Gita has had a fall and he needs to go abroad.
Dev is set to tell his partner that he has to fly to India to help his family.
But in a bombshell announcement, he says that he would like Bernie to accompany him.
The question is, what will she say in response?
Meanwhile, Dev also has to think of his businesses as he books his tickets.
He owns both the Kebab shop and the corner shop at the end of the street.
Keeping it in the family, he will agree to let his 19-year-old son Aadi (Adam Hussain) keep watch.
Corrie cash crisis: shock exits for 2025
ITV bosses are locked in a battle to save the cash-strapped soap.
This means that a number of stars have either been axed from or have abandoned the long-running serial drama.
Colson Smith – Craig Tinker
The character of Craig Tinker has been axed by bosses after 14 years. After he was told of the news in Autumn 2024, Colson Smith confirmed that would be written out of the show with scenes to air later this year. Craig’s on-screen mum, Beth Tinker, also left the show in the summer when actress Lisa George was written out from the role.
Sue Cleaver – Eileen Grimshaw
After 25 years playing Eileen Grimshaw, former I’m A Celebrity campmate Sue Cleaver will quit the show. The Sun on Sunday reported in January that she’s already begun to film her exit scenes. However the character will not be killed off in case Sue opts to make a return in the future.
The actress became the fifth star to leave Coronation Street in just one month. We revealed that she will bow out of the ITV soap later this year after four years on-screen. Charlotte told sources that she’s hungry to see what other opportunities await.
This comes as ITV boss Kevin Lygo spoke about the shock cutbacks to the soap.
He said: “This new commissioning pattern will mean five hours of soaps a week, rather than the current six.
“We are conscious this will have an impact for the people who work on the soaps team.
“We will support our colleagues in ITV Studios as they work through these changes, and will do what we can to mitigate the impact on our people.”
He went on: “These changes are motivated by doing what we believe is best for the continuing success of these important programmes in the long term.
“They also create headroom in the overall programme budget for investment in programming that can help ITV grow reach in a very very competitive market.”

LOVE Island star Scott Thomas has opened up on the catalyst for the show’s most explosive row ever.
Fans of the ITV2 dating show were left shocked when they saw the 36-year-old come to blows with co-star Luca Bish on All Stars.
Scott Thomas has dished all on his row with Luca BishErotemeThe explosive row came as Luca kissed Scott to signal he was in the villa for ‘fame’YoutubeScott spoke out on The Morning After podcast[/caption]
During the programme’s Vegas Night, the duo had a furious row with Scott squaring up to Luca after comments made about his romance with Tina Stinnes.
Tensions had already been simmering after Luca chose to kiss Scott during a challenge when asked to kiss the Islander who was looking for fame from their time on the show.
Scott, who quit the villa last week, has now spoken to former contestants Indiyah Polack and Amy Hart on The Morning After podcast about the real reason that saw the boys come to blows.
The Manchester lad told the programme: “Me and Luca, I don’t think you saw it, he was bantering me non stop every day until the point the guys and girls were like ‘why don’t you say anything why are you taking it’?
“I can’t really do like, nice banter – you know when you just got a sense that he can give so much banter but he’s quite a little fragile soul as well.
“I was like I don’t wanna give him too much banter because I knew I might get a big bite back.
“I know the Vegas night was a big moment – that was just one snapshot of like a week of like which kind of escalated and escalated.”
Scott then added that he and Luca managed to squash the feud despite it being a “challenging relationship”.
He said: “But I love Luca. I’ve got a soft spot for him. He is like a little brother, but yeah, it was just such a challenging relationship because we didn’t know each other’s boundaries as brothers you know each other’s boundaries.
“So I think the Vegas night kind of taught us both a lesson on where to go with each other and we just kind of squashed it, but I’ve got so much love for him.
“He’s got a big heart, I can’t wait to link up with him in the real world.”
Tensions between the boys initially flared when Scott admitted he wanted to ask Luca’s partner Grace Jackson a question during truth or dare but then backed out and refused to comment on what it was that he wanted to say.
Luca instantly became annoyed and said: “Say it. If you want to go there, go there?” .
Scott insisted:“Bro I’m being respectful to you.”
The group tried to continue playing after the first row, but things take a turn for the worst when Luca was dared to kiss who is in here for fame.
He kissed Scott on the cheek and said he thinks he wants to get far in the villa, adding “that’s why you’re with Tina and you’re not feeling it now”.
Tina looked horrified and asked for someone to explain – as she learnt the truth she walked away crying.
3 days agoLatest NewsComments Off on Trolls say I make them sick for having a baby with a new man…but don’t my kids deserve a sibling? asks Kelsey Parker
USUALLY when a woman reveals they are expecting a baby, they’re flooded with well-wishes, flowers and support.
But for Kelsey Parker, the reality was the total opposite.
Instagram @being_kelseyKelsey has found happiness with tree surgeon Will Lindsay, with the pair expecting their first child together[/caption]
GettyKelsey’s husband, The Wanted’s Tom Parker, passed away aged 33, less than two years after being diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour[/caption]
Mark Hayman Fabulous magKelsey Parker has been targeted by cruel trolls over her incredible news[/caption]
One commented: “I’m sorry but it can’t just be me who thinks Kelsey, Tom Parker’s widowed wife, is moving on way too fast.
“Tom hasn’t even been gone three years and yet she’s already got a new partner and is now pregnant?
“I understand we all grieve differently but this is weird to me.”
A second said: “Kelsey Parker pregnant not even three years after Tom passing away makes me sick.”
A third added: “She has been in such a rush since he died to find a new partner. I’m not sure a new baby is the answer to her problems.”
Another troll accused Kelsey of “not knowing how to be her on own”.
Now, in an exclusive interview with The Sun, Kelsey reveals: “I was apprehensive announcing it. Although we are so happy – we are over the moon – of course I feel guilty too.
“Everything now will always be bittersweet, even happy things because I’ll wish Tom was part of it.”It was the same when I went public with Will, I kept thinking ‘I am afraid to be happy’.
“But I love children and Will always wanted children. I think any child is a blessing.
“And my two kids are so thrilled they are going to have a little brother or sister.
“People online don’t think about the joy it’s brought them. And should they not get to have a sibling because their dad died?”
“I knew I would be judged. But people who haven’t lost their partner, I don’t know how you can pass comment on me? I have been in such a dark place from losing Tom.
“I was so lonely and so unhappy. I feel like there are people who want me to always feel like that. I feel like I do deserve to try and find a bit of happiness.
“I think people think I should be sitting at home and dressed in black all day. I have two children (and another one on the way) that I have to get out of bed for. People are shocked I go to Tesco but I need to feed my kids.
I also vowed til death us do part. He has died. It sounds harsh but I’ve got to accept no matter how much I wish it was different, he’s not coming back.
Kelsey Parker
“I cannot get my head around why this has happened to me but it has. My life changed the moment Tom was diagnosed. But I have the power and strength to keep going. But I’m judged for that.
“It’s almost frowned upon that I’m trying to look on the brighter side of life.
“But would it be better to be in a dark place or if I was getting drunk or doing drugs or whatever? Either way I can not win.”
Kelsey feels that there is a misogyny to it as when men lose their wives they are commended for moving on and finding happiness again.
She says: “There is a double standard and I don’t feel like men get it in the same way as women. I’ve spoken to families where the women have met someone new and their late partner’s family have cut them off.
“I don’t want to hate on men but lots of them do find it harder to be by themselves.”
Kelsey also resents that the online commentators try to imply she has betrayed her marriage to Tom by moving on to a new relationship with tree surgeon Will.

AlamyTrolls have accused Kelsey of ‘not knowing how to be her on own’ after Tom’s death[/caption]
“Ultimately everyone just wants to be happy,” she admits.
“I was 19 when I met Tom and I thought I was going to share my whole life with him. All these people talking about me breaking my wedding vows, I promised to be there in sickness and health and I was.
“Whatever he needed me to do when he was well and even more so when he was sick I did it for him because I was his wife and I loved him.
“If he had told me to hop on one leg down the street to cure him, I would have. I’d have f***ing done anything to save him.
“However, I also vowed til death us do part. He has died. It sounds harsh but I’ve got to accept no matter how much I wish it was different, he’s not coming back.
“If I could bring him back and spend the rest of my life with him and have my two kids and have more kids with him, I would.
“He was my life, my partner and my soulmate but that’s not happened for me.
“While it’s been difficult for me, it’s horrible for Will too. This is his first child and he’s preparing to be a dad. I’ve already had this experience. I feel like people are taking the excitement away from Will.
“Although the best thing about Will is that he reads nothing. He has no clue.
“He goes, ‘Kelsey, I don’t know why you’re looking at those comments.’
“I tried not to look as I knew what it would be like. But then I love it when fellow widows or friends stick up for me and say nice things.”

Kelsey Parker remains dedicated to keeping Tom’s memory alive and continues to be an inspiration to many for her strength and resilience.
Instead of letting the negativity affect her, Kelsey prefers to focus on their family bubble and those important to her – her kids – Aurelia, five and Bodhi, four – Will, her family and Tom’s family.
FAMILY BUBBLE
“The worst has happened to me so what can you say that will hurt me more?” she says.
“I’ve had the rug ripped from underneath my feet and my whole future and my kids’ future taken away.
“So we grab hold of any little bit of joy or happiness now. I know life is not a rehearsal, there is no time to waste.
“My family and Tom’s family are so happy for me. Tom’s mum Noreen won’t be able to help herself spoiling the new baby.
“She will be their granny too and she will treat them the same as Aurelia and Bodhi.
“We’ve just booked our first holiday with Noreen and Tom’s dad Nige and my family for when the baby’s here.
“People try to push this idea that we don’t get on but we all do. All that matters to me is that those I love are OK and are happy.”
Kelsey, who had preeclampsia with her first child and had to juggle baby check-ups alongside Tom’s hospital appointments while pregnant with Bodhi, is hoping her third pregnancy will be much smoother.
“I am feeling ok and my health is ok at the moment. I am eating a lot at the moment.
“When I was expecting Bodhi, that was the hardest time. Going into the hospital with Tom, who has cancer and having to deal with all his emotions around that. He would be thinking ‘Am I going to be alive to meet this child?’
My family and Tom’s family are so happy for me. Tom’s mum Noreen won’t be able to help herself spoiling the new baby.
“When Bodhi came out, Tom was bawling his eyes out. It was not an experience that you would want to put anyone through. It’s meant to be one of our happiest days of our lives giving birth to a beautiful baby boy.
“And it wasn’t. All I had in my head was ‘how long has Tom got left with this child?’ I feel like everything’s bittersweet to me.”
Mark HaymanInstead of letting the negativity affect her, Kelsey prefers to focus on their family bubble and those important to her[/caption]
Kelsey is quite realistic that while she feels happier now she will be dealing with Tom’s death for many years to come.
“This is a new phase for me. It does feel like it’s brought me and Will closer. I just feel like it will complete us as a family. But I am aware it’s never-ending.
“People think that I’m with Will and Tom is forgotten but that’s not the case. We talk about him all the time. I know I’ve got years of dealing with all the things that will come up for the kids with losing their dad when they were so young.
“I wish people would think about that before commenting on my life. We’ve had some really tough times but I really hope there are some brighter days ahead.”

AN ICONIC car has undergone a “retro” rebrand turning it into a tiny two-seater EV which has a top speed of just 28mph.
Citroën’s brand new minimalist motor is based on its popular all-electric Ami quadricycle, first released in 2020.
Citroën’s all new Type-Ami is inspired by retro designsWILLIAM CROZES @ Continental ProductionsIt is based off the popular electric Ami motor first launched in 2020[/caption]
The Type-Ami is the newest member of the French car giant’s family and is set to have its world debut this month at Retromobile 2025.
The Citroën Ami was first launched in 2020 and sold 43,000 units in its first two years.
With a top speed of just 28mph, the micro EV is perfect for city drivers and is just a mere 2.4m long, 1.4m wide, and 1.5m tall.
On a single charge the motor can stretch to 47 miles non-stop and is packaged as a cheap way to have “urban mobility for all”.
Best of all, it is legal to drive the Ami from the age of 16 in the UK on a moped licence – a whole year above the legaldrivingage of 17.
Its 5.5kWh battery pack pushes out just 8bhp and it takes a whopping 10 seconds to go from 0-28mph.
Now, the brand new Type-Ami will be produced by Caselani, a bodywork manufacturer based in Cremona, Italy, that has produced multiple conversion kits for Citroën over the years.
This has included work for the Citroën’s Berlino, Jumper, and SpaceTourer motors.
The tiny car has its main characteristics inspired by Citroëns of the past, including its large closed front grille that’s dominated by the carmaker’s logo.
Its frontage is also split into two broken segments, unlike the minimalist design seen on the regular Ami.
While it generally keeps most proportions the same as the Ami, the new version has its body crossed by small horizontal curves, giving a more classic finish.
Keeping with tradition, the wheel rims have a similar design that echoes to that of Citroëns of the past.
The various details and panels help to transform the French electric quadricycle into a modern classic, and they are compatible with both the current version and the pre-styled one.
Even with this, the weight of the vehicle is unchanged at just 471kg.
The motor has been designed by Caselani designer David Obendorfer in collaboration with Citroën Style Centre, headed by Pierre Leclercq.
It will be available in various colours and can be bought already installed for €13,900 (around £12,000).
If you already have an Ami at home and want to spruce it up with a new look, you can get the standalone kit for just €5,000 (£4,200).
Citroën’s Ami can come with a range of different trims, including a sportier trim for My Ami Pop that adds alloy wheel trims, a black strip under the windshield, front and rear bumper sections, a set of graphics for the doors and even a rear spoiler.
