Hollyoaks airs surprise shower snog as fans go wild over ‘new gay power couple’

HOLLYOAKS fans have gone wild as the show aired a surprise gay shower scene snog.

The long-running Channel 4 soap left viewers stunned as the fan-favourites embraced in the steamy scenes.

During the latest visit to Chester Sienna Blake and Cleo McQueen locked lips in the shower.

Their spontaneous snog came after a day filled with drama and upset in Hollyoaks

Cleo and Sienna had teamed up to try and kill Abe Fielding after finding him in the boot of Joel’s car.

They tied him up in the same location he had been keeping Cleo hostage for a year.

Still as twisted as ever, he threw the breakfast Cleo had brought him back at her, leaving Sienna to comfort her.

In a moment of sensible thinking, Sienna told Cleo she would never find peace by killing Abe.

She later found Cleo in tears while fully clothed in the shower.

Joining her under the warm water, Sienna told her how strong she really was as the pair connected.

Sparks flew, however, as they both were drawn into a kiss.

The scenes left fans at home stunned as they flooded social media with comments.

One said: “Sienna and Cleo? WTF?”

A second posted: “My gay prayers have been answered.”

“Right can Cleo and Sienna become a thing so we can have a sapphic couple in the show PLSSS,” said a third.

Hollyoaks airs on Channel 4.

From Hollyoaks to Hollywood

James Corden played a caretaker in the early days of the soap.

The former American TV host doesn’t have much positive to say about his time on the soap, claiming it was “hell on earth.”

Since his short-lived time on the show he has gone on to bigger things including smash hit comedy Gavin and Stacey.

Rachel Shenton joined the soap as aspiring glamour model Mitzeee Minniver in 2010.

Over two years her character was sent to prison, got pregnant and had a number of romantic affairs.

Since leaving Hollyoaks she has won an Oscar for best live action short film, The Silent Child.

Rachel has also starred in White Gold and All Creatures Great and Small

Emmett J. Scanlan played gangster turned anti-hero Brendan Brady.

Emmett played the love interest of Steve Hayes, with their romance delighting fans until it turned violent.

Since his departure Emmett has appeared in Peaky Blinders, The Fall, Gangs of London and even appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy

Emma Rigby joined Hollyoaks when she was 15 as Hannah Ahsworth.

Hannah’s eating disorder storyline was the first of it’s kind on TV while other plots included being caught in a fire, gangland drug dealing and running away.

Since leaving the soap in 2010 Emma has gone on to star in ABCs Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as the Red Queen. Other roles include guest appearances in Death In Paradise, Ripper Street and Fresh Meat

Nico Mirallegro got his big break with Hollyoaks starring as emo Barry ‘Newt’ Newton.

Nico’s main storyline in the soap was developing schizophrenia which culminated in a suicide pact.

He left the soap in 2010 and went on to star in My Mad Fat Diary, Our Girl, Rillington Place, The Ark and Common, Penance, as well as the Mike Leigh movie Peterloo and was nominated for a Bafta for his role in period drama The Village.

Ricky Whittle used Hollyoaks as a stepping stone to break America.

He played one of the soap’s resident hunks, Calvin Valentine, from 2006 to 2011 – when he was killed off at his wedding.

After leaving the soap Ricky cracked America starring in teen drama The 100 and America Gods.

He also appeared in Strictly Come Dancing in 2009.

Warren Brown joined Hollyoaks in 2005 for a year as evil Andy Holt.

His stint on the show consisted of date rape storylines and a crime spree, before eventually being killed off.

After leaving Hollyoaks, Warren became a big hitter in TV playing DS Justin Ripley in Luther, as well as major roles in a number of dramas including Liar, The Responder, Homefront and Good Cop.

Wallis Day played Holly Cunningham in the soap for years before leaving.

In 2021 Wallis won the role of Batwoman in DC’s series, taking over from Ruby Rose.

Ex-Towie star Jake Hall shocks fans as he parties with Kanye West and Bianca Censori after the Grammys

FORMER TOWIE star Jake Hall was spotted partying with A-listers Kanye West and Bianca Censori after the Grammys.

The rapper and his wife Bianca, 30, shocked fans after she went nude in a completely see-through mesh dress at the prestigious event on Sunday.

The U.S. Sun then reported Kanye, 47, and Bianca were rumored to have been kicked out of the Grammys.

In a new clip shared by former reality star turned businessman Jake, 31, the star could be seen partying with the famous couple.

Dressed in a white suit, Jake posed for photos with Kanye and a scantily dressed Bianca, who wore a black bodysuit.

Jake captioned the post: “Grammys after party was one to remember for sure – conversation to remember for life – big things to come.”

His followers were stunned, with one writing: “Your journeys been epic from the start, Ye adding threads at this point.”

A second posted: “Making moves, epic mate.”

Another added: “Quality Networking.”

Jake first appeared on Towie in 2015, where he notably dated Chloe Lewis, before quitting in 2016.

He recently launched his brand new company – By Jake Hall – after his previously clothing brand went into liquidation.

Jake was left devastated by the news as years of hard work crumbled and he was forced to shut down Prevu.

The brand was acquired by Frasers Group but soon struggled.

Prevu was hugely popular amongst A-lists stars and has been worn by the England football team, Bella Hadid, the Beckham boys and even Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey.

At one point Jake was thought to be worth £5million off the back of his brand, but in 2020 he owed over £1million to creditors.

Speaking in the past about how being on reality TV impacted his business, Jake said:  “It’s been amazing really. I’ve got a clothing brand, well two clothing brands, so it’s been amazing exposure for me getting it out there to everyone.

“The privacy part is quite difficult because everyone knows your life within days of being in the show. It is a bit different, but I like it, it’s been great.”

Baring all

Meanwhile Bianca’s see-through outfit caused controversy at the star-studded event.

But the Flashing Lights hitmaker broke his silence and praised Bianca for topping the official Google trends list for the last 24 hours in the United States.

The musician then revealed the number of times Bianca’s Grammys outfit was searched, which shot up as the night progressed.

Alongside a clip of Bianca working out in a black leotard, Kanye wrote: “The most Googled person on earth wearing YZY women’s.”

In a now deleted post, Kanye also wrote: “For clarity, February 4th 2025, my wife is the most Googled person on the planet called earth.”

He added: “We beat the Grammies.”

Go away, Ye!

It comes after The U.S. Sun revealed that Kanye and Bianca were rumored to have been kicked out of the Grammys.

Kanye and Bianca “were not believed to have been officially invited to the Grammys. They’ve both since been kicked out,” the source said.

However, a second source close to Kanye insisted they “absolutely had tickets” since he was nominated for Best Rap Song and only ever planned to get photographed and leave.

Kanye was reportedly seen being escorted out by police after walking the red carpet, leading many to believe it was because of Bianca’s choice of clothing, or lack thereof.

“He doesn’t care [that he was kicked out]. He went to get photographed on the carpet and is now having a watch party,” a third insider told The U.S. Sun.

He is also hosting his own after-party with pal Justin LaBoy at a former market in East Los Angeles, with a team setting up hours ahead of the doors opening at 10 pm.

Kanye and Bianca were spotted leaving the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles soon after creating chaos on the carpet.

In an exchange on the red carpet, Kayne was seen ‘commanding’ Bianca in comments which were later revealed by a lipreader.

Expert Nicola Hickling revealed what the rapper said to Bianca moments before she dropped her fur coat.

Moments after the scenes, Bianca slipped back into her coat as they quietly left the premises in a silver car as other stars piled into the venue.

The official dress code for the venue is “proper attire, including shoes and shirts, must be worn at all times.”

The website adds, “We reserve the right to deny entry to or remove any person wearing attire that we consider inappropriate.”

Come Dine With Me legend Dave Lamb reveals future on hit Channel 4 show after 20 years – and insists it ‘isn’t set up’

COME Dine With Me narrator Dave Lamb has addressed his future on Channel 4’s hit show after 20 years – insisting it ‘isn’t set up’.

Viewers have heard Dave’s distinctive voiceover ever since Come Dine With Me launched in January 2005.

The programme has become a firm favourite since debuting 20 years ago[/caption]

It sees five amateur cooks who live in the same broad area compete against each other.

Each hosts a three-course dinner party for the others at their own home over a week’s worth of episodes.

Speaking to Jane Garvey and Fi Glover on their podcast Off Air with Jane and Fi , Dave revealed how long he intends to lend his voice to the show.

The 56-year-old shared: “I’m in a really good place with it at the moment.

“I think the show is as good as it’s ever been. Yes, I would like to continue doing it. I’m enjoying it.”

Elsewhere in the conversation, the star opened up about Come Dine With Me‘s rigorous casting process.

Dave revealed: “If it takes 13 weeks to make the show, which it does, eight weeks of those are the casting process.

“There’s a lot of attention paid to making sure the dynamic is right, making sure that people are sitting around a table who would not normally sit around a table together.

“It’s not like it’s set up for conflict, but it’s set up so that people are out of their comfort zones.”

Meanwhile, the latest series airing on Channel 4 marks Come Dine With Me‘s 20th anniversary.

Not all viewers were impressed with the latest episodes – branding one group of contestants as “attention seekers” and “layabouts”.

The week took the show’s fans to Cambridge, where Rebecca was first up to host.

She welcomed TikToker Josh, mushroom farm owner Mark, wellness retreat guru Nikki and employee benefit collector Kate.

One person wrote on X: “Josh is a liability.”

Channel 4's best competition shows

Channel 4 boasts a number impressive competition shows, but which ones are really the best?

Four in a Bed

  • Reality competition show Four in a Bed has been airing on Channel 4 since 2010. It follows four couples as they take turns to stay at each others B&Bs and hotels, rating their stays along the way. The couple with the establishment voted best value for money are the winners.

Come Dine With Me

  • Come Dine With Me has been staple British viewing since 2005, providing some outrageous telly moments over the years. Like Four in a Bed, the series moves around to different properties as it follows four contestants as they each host a (supposedly) gourmet dinner party for each other. After each dinner the guests score the host out of 10, will the winner being revealed on the final evening.

The Great British Bake Off

  • Another national treasure, The Great British Bake Off welcomes a group of 12 amateur bakers to put their culinary skills to the test with Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith judging their efforts. One contestant is eliminated each week until the final three face off in the last week.

Bake Off: The Professionals

  • Bake Off: The Professionals puts a twist on GBBO, pitting two teams of professional pastry chefs against each other in every episode. It’s up to judges Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden to determine who has what it takes to make it through to the final.

Another remarked: “It is going to be a long week with that lot of attention seekers.”

“Giving this a go even though I haven’t liked it in ages. Too many attention-seeking whoppers”, a third user wrote.

A fourth viewer penned: “A f*****g TikToker. Not a promising start.”

First look at major UK airport’s £1.3billion makeover with new modern terminal and first Wetherspoons

MANCHESTER Airport has revealed the next stages of their multi-billion renovation.

First announced in 2015, the airport’s Terminal 2 is undergoing the huge revamp.

The renovation is part of a 10-year redevelopment of Manchester Airport

The modern terminal is getting an upgrade with new security scanners using “state of the art technology“.

The airport is also getting 20 new shops and bars, including it’s first Wetherspoons pub, along with a LEGO store and Fever Tree bar.

Called The Avenue, the “shopping street” will also have chops like Chanel and the Great Northern Market.

The huge renovation is set to cost £1.3billion.

It is part of a wider 10-year redevelopment, which saw Terminal 2 double in size back in 2021.

Major airlines including Lufthansa, Swiss and Austrian moved to the terminal last October, followed by Jet2 and Egyptair.

Manchester Airport Managing Director Chris Woodroofe said: “Our transformation programme has been 10 years and £1.3bn in the making but now we’re in the final stages of finishing everything off to open it to the public later this year.

“There’s a huge amount of work going on all over the airport but this video shows that it will all be worth it.”

He also said that other parts of the airport were being redeveloped – including Terminal 3.

He continued: “That work isn’t just limited to Terminal 2 either. We’re modernising our airfield, building a new road to improve access to the new terminal – and we’ll soon be able to say more about some work we’re doing in Terminal 3 too.”

Manchester Airport first opened in 1938, and has since expanded to welcome nearly 30million passengers a year.

Terminal One opened in 1962, with Terminal 2 added in 1993 – both launched by the Duke of Edinburgh.

Terminal Three – previously named Terminal A – was opened by Princess Diana in 1989.

It is also the only other UK airport to have two runways, along with London Heathrow, and is the third biggest (after Heathrow and Gatwick).

Long-haul routes operating from Manchester Airport include Singapore and Hong Kong, as well as Barbados, Beijing and Florida.

Last year, new flights were launched to Moldova which has been dubbed Europe’s “last hidden gem”.

The entire project has cost £1.3billion

And aviation nerds can even head to the airport to the see the Concord, where you can go on tours of the plane.

The Sun’s North West District Editor Richard Moriarty recently tried out Manchester Airport’s new private terminal which even economy passengers can try for £90.

He explained: “It I were travelling with my wife for a weekend away, it would be a great way to make the airport experience more enjoyable and a £30 budget airline flight to somewhere more bearable.

“And Aether is also likely to be popular with travellers who have mobility issues as has no stairs and every aspect of it – food, drink, toilets, security – is just a few yards walk.”

Other UK airport expansions

London Stansted Airport

Last year, the airport confirmed its plans for the £1.1 billion renovation.

The Ryanair hub will be extending its main terminal and £500million will be put into improving the current terminal and the rest of the airport.

Bristol Airport

Bristol Airport’s terminal size will increase as part of the huge revamp plans.

The £400 million revamp follows a record number of people travelling through the airport, welcoming 10 million passengers in a 12-month period for the first time ever.

Leeds Bradford Airport

The airport’s huge upgrade will feature an extension of its terminal, with a bigger baggage reclaim area and enhanced security facilities.

The airport has also expressed plans to start long-haul flights.

London Luton Airport

London Luton has expressed plans for a £2.4billion expansion of the airport.

This would include a new terminal, to double the current capacity.

And here is a little-known airport pass that you can use to skip the queues at passport control.

First bird to roam Earth after dinosaurs were killed by asteroid revealed and it’s a relative of much-loved species

THE long-lost forefather of the beloved duck and goose has been discovered, after outliving the hardy dinosaurs.

The feathered creature thrived during the Cretaceous period, and continued to do so even after an Earth-shattering asteroid strike 66million years ago.

Christopher Torres, lead author of a paper describing a new skull of the 69-million-year-old bird Vegavis iaai, sits at a table with fossils.

Its skull has a long, pointed beak and signals a brain shape similar to modern birds, suggesting it is the earliest ancestor of today’s duck and geese[/caption]

It was, of course, the infamous asteroid impact that brought an end to the age of dinosaurs.

Though it was only really the end for non-avian creatures.

Birds are thought to have found refuge in ancient Antarctica, when the now-frozen continent was warm and awash with lush green vegetation.

The area was free from the deadly tsunamis and ash clouds brought on by the asteroid that hit near the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico.

A nearly-complete, 69million-year-old fossil of the long-extinct bird named Vegavis iaai supports this theory.

It was collected during a 2011 expedition by the Antarctic Peninsula Paleontology Project, and is believed to be the earliest modern bird in existence, according to a new study published in Nature.

Analysis of its bones suggests it would have inhabited the shallow oceans off the coast of present-day Antarctica, using its feet to dart underwater to catch fish.

Its skull has a long, pointed beak and signals a brain shape similar to modern birds, suggesting it is the earliest ancestor of today’s duck and geese.

Over the past 20 years, there has been dispute over whether Vegavis really is the great-great-grandfather of modern birds, since its skull differed greatly from birds previously discovered from the Mesozoic Era.

“Few birds are as likely to start as many arguments among paleontologists as Vegavis,” said Dr. Christopher Torres, lead author of the study and professor at the University of the Pacific.

“This new fossil is going to help resolve a lot of those arguments. Chief among them: where is Vegavis perched in the bird tree of life?”

Though researchers believe this study, the first to analyse a near-complete Vegavis skull, puts any skepticism to rest.

Dr. Patrick O’Connor, co-author on the study and professor at Ohio University, said: “This fossil underscores that Antarctica has much to tell us about the earliest stages of modern bird evolution.”

The birds developing elsewhere on the planet at the same time barely resembled modern birds with their teeth and tails.

“Those few places with any substantial fossil record of Late Cretaceous birds, like Madagascar and Argentina, reveal an aviary of bizarre, now-extinct species with teeth and long bony tails, only distantly related to modern birds,” added Dr. O’Connor.

“Something very different seems to have been happening in the far reaches of the Southern Hemisphere, specifically in Antarctica.”

‘Laws of logic disqualify that’ – Conor McGregor told UFC career is OVER as MMA legend says ‘you’re not fighting again’

CONOR MCGREGOR has been brutally told he’s NEVER “fighting again”.

The Notorious’ long wait to return to the octagon was supposed to end last summer in a long-overdue showdown with Michael Chandler.

The former fan favourite been brutally told his UFC career is over[/caption]

But he was forced out of the Sin City showdown after breaking his left pinky toe just weeks before the June joust

McGregor has found himself embroiled in several controversies since the cancellation of the contest, including being found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in December 2018.

And the Irishman‘s behaviour has former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen convinced he’ll never fight again.

The former UFC middle and light-heavyweight title challenger told Ariel Helwani: “He pulled out of his last fight which was a record gate.

“He beat all of his own gate records. They had $25million (£20m) waiting for them for the live gate and still had $2million (£1.6m) worth of tickets to sell.

“He pulled out of a press conference where they took an American company to Ireland, played the video game like everybody had set up shop.

“I mean, it’s a big deal to leave them hanging right there.

“The official reason he did that was for a discoloured pinky toe which may or may not be broken and may or may not be his.

a poster showing mcgregor 's top 5 mma fighters

“He didn’t take a picture of himself with the toe. He took a picture of a toe and posted it online.

“It was discoloured red and purple and I’m sure it was very sore.

“But with no evidence that it was broken, or even any evidence that it was even his.

“If you pull out of a fight because of a discoloured pinky toe that may or may not be yours, that may or may not be broken, you’re not fighting again. It’s just the truth.”

McGregor, 36, hasn’t set foot inside the cage since breaking his left leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

The Dubliner – who was filmed this week spitting at a Khabib Nurmagomedov fan – seemingly hasn’t lived the life of a professional athlete since the cancellation of his clash with Chandler.

And Sonnen believes he’s in no fit shape to be stepping foot inside the cage.

He said: “Whatever adult allows Conor McGregor to return with the same exact injury that Chris Weidman had.

“Chris Weidman being possibly the most disciplined guy in the sport, Conor being the most undisciplined guy in the sport.

“Chris Weidman doing everything right, from rehab to taking his time to focusing to being at home at night and going to bed and getting rest on his leg.

“He did everything right, and did not return as somebody that could follow the basic rule, which was to protect himself at all times. Right?

Chael Sonnen and Conor McGregor at a UFC Q&A session.
GETTY
Chael Sonnen reckons Conor McGregor’s fighting days are well and truly over[/caption]

“That hindered, repaired leg was that big of an obstacle.

“But we’re supposed to believe that Conor not only can return from the same thing, he can return better?

“And we know we think he’s going to be better, because we’re not booking him in three-round fights.

“We’re booking him exclusively in five-round main events, so he is going to have to perform at a much higher level than ‘The All-American.’

“The laws of logic disqualify that. The basic rule is protect yourself at all times.

Conor McGregor is not in a position with anybody under contract at the UFC to protect himself at all times. It’s a silly proposition, and that is just the truth.

“That is just the truth. There’s not another way to say it. I also want in on the Conor business.

I also want to cover him and have him back, and it’s different when he’s there.

“I acknowledge the fun. But if you’re talking about any level of responsibility, you can’t book him — and you definitely can’t book him in a five-round fight. That’s insane.”
