XThe female officer was then seen crying in the corner of the train near its closed door[/caption]
Filmed by another passenger, the woman was recorded shouting verbal abuse at officers before she then “hit” a female cop onboard the CrossCountry train.
She was then quickly escorted her off the service while the female officer let out a cry, remaining on the floor near the closed door of the train.
Members of British Transport Police could be heard shouting “calm down now” as they attempted to restrain the woman.
One other officer remained with the female cop to console her and appeared to request for medical assistance in the video.
The woman was held up against the wall of the platform while officers tried to restrain her, with one heard shouting “stop resisting”.
She was eventually taken to the floor by cops despite seeming to attempt to wriggle her way out of the hold.
A person on the train can be overheard saying: “She’s kicking the police officers.”
Turning back to the train, the female officer can be seen in distress and crying, still remaining in the same position on the floor next to the closed door.
British Transport Police confirmed that a woman was arrested at Birmingham New Street on suspicion of domestic violence and two counts of assault against an emergency worker.
Commenting under the video on X, the force said: “We have zero-tolerance for violence on the railway, particularly against officers just doing their job.
“Officers were responding to a separate incident on the train at Birmingham New Street railway station when they were made aware of a report of domestic violence.
“An officer was assaulted whilst separating the pair, requiring hospital treatment.
“A second officer was also assaulted.
“A woman was arrested on suspicion of one count of domestic violence and two counts of assault against an emergency worker.”
The video – captioned “A woman hit a police officer at Birmingham new street station” – has already amassed well over 100,000 views and hundreds of comments, with some condemning the incident.
One user said: “Shocking behaviour, poor policewoman sitting distressed on the floor.”

TROUBLED telly star Paul Danan has been hailed as an “exceptional talent” — after his death aged 46 on the day before he was due in court to face drug charges.
Tributes poured in for the ex-Hollyoaks actor.
Paul Danan, who appeared on Celebrity Love Island, passed away aged 46GettyPaul Danan pictured at the Celebrity Big Brother final in 2017[/caption]
Paul spoke about his hopes to return to acting in his final social media post before his death
Paul’s management company said in a statement: “Known for his television presence, exceptional talent, and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light to so many.
“His untimely departure will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him.”
His death on Wednesday came hours before he was due to face Warrington JPs in Cheshire charged with possessing cocaine and cannabis.
Paul was also accused of driving under the influence of drugs last October.
Former girlfriend Katie Price said: “Wow, just speechless and shocked. Many memories I’ll always remember.”
Close pal Calum Best, who appeared with Paul in ITV2 travelogue series Calum, Fran and Dangerous Danan, said: “Paul was one of the funniest, kindest, and most real people I’ve ever known — truly a creative genius too.
“Life wasn’t always easy for him, but he faced it with such heart and courage, and that inspired so many of us.
“We shared so many laughs and unforgettable moments. My heart goes out to his loved ones. Rest easy, brother.”
And ex-EastEnders actor Michael Greco said: “In this day and age of falsities and fake people, he was a genuine and caring man who just wanted to please everyone.”
Paul, who had nine-year-old son DeNiro, was best known as Sol Patrick in C4 soap Hollyoaks from 1997 until 2001.
He also starred in the first series of Celebrity Love Island in 2005 and Celebrity Big Brother in 2017.
He appeared on the first series in 2005 and ended up coming back for the second one as well.
In an unearthed interview in 2020, the late star warned the show’s bosses about the “dangers” that instant reality fame could pose to the Islanders taking part.
Speaking to the Mirror Online, Paul said: “It’s mad to see it come on at this time of year.
“To be honest, it’s so contrived. Back in the day when I did Love Island we were left alone, we weren’t told to pair up with anyone, we could just do what we wanted.
“If we liked someone, great, if we didn’t then we didn’t need to do anything.”
A Love Island spokesperson told the outlet at the time that the relationships formed on the show are completely up to the Islanders.
In 2022, Paul starred on Celebrity Coach trip, which he later revealed left him needing therapy.
The show typically sees contestants voted off the coach by the other participants, and Paul admitted that he found the process “brutal”.
He said of the experience: “I had to get a bit of counselling. It taps into a lot of stuff – like rejection. It’s brutal.”
In the post he revealed his passion for acting had been revitalised by the potential of a new role.
He wrote: “Audition for A Twelfth Night to play Orsino. It’s been a long time since I’ve gone near a bit of the Master that is Our pioneer Sir William Shakespeare.
“You forget what a Genius he really was and remember how beautiful and exhilarating it is when you get stuck in to tackling his work. It’s an amazing experience! I forget sometimes how much i need to be awoken…”
Police yesterday said that his death was not being treated as suspicious.
Avon and Somerset Police said: “Officers attended a property in Brislington, Bristol, at around 5.20pm yesterday where sadly a man in his 40s was declared deceased by paramedics.”

4 weeks agoLatest NewsComments Off on UK-wide ‘Armageddon alert’ will OVERRIDE millions of Brits’ phones & trigger loud siren – what to do if you’re driving
AN “ARMAGEDDON alert” will override millions of Brits’ phones nationwide and trigger a loud siren – here’s what to do if you’re driving.
A senior cabinet member has said the alert system, first launched in 2023, will be tested to ensure it’s ready for emergencies.
AFPThe UK’s emergency alert system will be tested later this year[/caption]
It works by alerting all 4G and 5G phones in a range, causing them to emit a siren and vibrate for up to ten seconds.
The system was set up to warn people of any “danger to life” situations like a flood or wildfire nearby, as well as potential terror incidents and civil defence emergencies.
If you receive an alert, you do not need to do anything but must swipe away the message or click OK on your phone’s home screen in order to use your device.
While this loud warning system may cause drivers to panic and potentially reach for their devices while at the wheel, they have been advised to not do so.
If the alert goes off while you’re driving, you should not pick up your phone as touching your mobile while driving could see you slapped with a £200 fine and six points on your licence.
The Highway Code states that using a phone while driving is in breach of rule 149, and could even result in the driver being taken to court.
This rule applies to using your device at traffic lights, in traffic, and instructing a learner driver.
To escape legal trouble, drivers are urged to stop the car before acknowledging the message.
Alternatively, other passengers in the vehicle are allowed to clear the notification on your behalf.
Previous test messages have read: “This is a test of Emergency Alerts, a new UK government service that will warn you if there’s a life-threatening emergency nearby.
“In a real emergency, follow the instructions in the alert to keep yourself and others safe.
“This should be part of our armoury in warning people about major risks.”
Around 87 million devices are estimated to be pinged with the test message, the date of which will be announced later this year.
While you can opt out of the test by turning off emergency alerts in your device’s settings, the Government has advised people to keep the alerts active in order to keep themselves safe.
The emergency alert is modelled on systems currently used inJapan,Canada, theNetherlandsand theUS.
