Everton vs Tottenham preview

Everton and Tottenham clash at Goodison Park on Sunday with both sides in desperate need of a result.

The Toffees are anchored in 16th position and a single point above the relegation zone having registered just three victories all season.

David Moyes was unable to kick-start his second spell in charge with a victory after watching his side fall 1-0 to Aston Villa earlier this week.

It was a familiar story for Evertonians as their side failed to score.

Since the start of November, Everton are the lowest scorers in the Premier League with just five goals in 11 games, and two of those were Craig Dawson own goals in a 4-0 win over Wolves.

Despite their troubles, Spurs aren’t exactly the ideal opponent given the Merseyside outfit have won just one of their last 24 Premier League games against Tottenham.

Tottenham are also unbeaten in their last 11 Premier League away games against Everton.

And they’ll need to make the most of their record at Goodison Park following a run of five top-flight games without victory, and seven defeats in their last 11.

Ange Postecoglou is favourite to be the next Premier League manager sacked, and has been described as being on “thin ice” with the club closer to the bottom three than the top four.

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur at Goodison Park is the most drawn specific fixture in Premier League history, with 17 of the 32 meetings ending level.

Another draw would do very little for either side.

Saves

It’s likely to be another busy afternoon between the sticks for Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, who is available at 15/8 to make over four saves on Sunday.

Pickford has registered the fifth-highest number of saves of any goalkeeper in the division this season (63) with a whopping 27 of those coming in the last six games. He’s crucial for the hosts who have shipped 90 shots in their last six games.

Assist

Dejan Kulusevski looks a good price at 4/1 to provide an assist this weekend. The Swede, 24, has registered eight assists in 32 appearances this season, and has the highest xA (expected assists)

of any Tottenham player over the last six games. He’s created a whopping 17 chances for his colleagues in that spell – double the number of anyone else in the Spurs squad. He’s also assisted three goals against Everton in five appearances.

Elma Pazar’s Love Island beauty secret for perfectly lined lips revealed – as star applies ‘banned’ product before bed

IF you’ve been watching Love Island but are spending more time looking at Elma Pazar’s pout than thinking about her love triangle, then you’ve come to the right place.

There’s no doubt that the TOWIE star and All Stars icon, 31, is looking more fabulous than ever for her second stint in the Love Island villa – and now, we can reveal her ultimate beauty secret.

The WONDERSKIN Wonder Blading Lip Stain Masque has racked up countless five star reviews online[/caption]

Before hopping into bed with Ronnie Vint, 28, we recently saw the brunette beauty apply a lip stain – and it seems to be a product not officially stocked in the glam room.

Given that Boots is the official supplier for the Love Island villa, the stars either have to smuggle in their own products or let them obscure the branding on the packaging.

And it turns out that Elma must’ve gone to great lengths to bring in her hidden gem – the WONDERSKIN Wonder Blading Lip Stain Masque – into the villa.

Whilst you can’t nab this viral buy from the high-street retailer, don’t worry, we’ve hunted it down, and you can order it now for just £18 from Amazon or Beauty Bay.

This celeb-favourite product, which is vegan and cruelty-free, is designed to give you fuller-looking lips without resorting to a semi-permanent tattoo.

Not only this, but it will ensure that your pout stays perfectly lined (according to WONDERSKIN, ‘literally all day’) – so it’s great for this eyelash technician who’s currently dealing with South Africa’s warm temperatures.

This powerful product works to hyper-stain the lips for a waterproof colour that won’t transfer, fade, feather or need touching up.

Elma applied hers before bed to the edges of her lips, almost like a lip liner, and then blended it slightly to avoid a harsh lip line.

Come the morning, she woke up with perfectly lined lips and a rosy hue that is sure to last the entire day.

It’s the ultimate hack for anyone who prefers a low-maintenance routine and wants to simplify their morning beauty regime.

Plus, if you’re jetting off somewhere sunny like Elma, it’s great for poolside lounging when you don’t want too many heavy products on your face or lips.

Beauty Bay offers a large selection of 17 shades, so you’re really spoiled for choice.

Love it!! Shade is beautiful and it stays on for a long time

And it’s not just Elma loving the affordable find – as it has quickly racked up an average rating of 4.6 out of five, with countless five star reviews.

EastEnders star hints at return to Walford ahead of 40th anniversary after nearly 15 years away from BBC soap

FORMER EastEnders star Cliff Parisi has sparked excitement among fans by hinting at a possible return to the soap after nearly 15 years away.

The actor, known for his portrayal of the lovable Minty Peterson, suggested that a comeback could be in the works during an appearance on The One Show.

The actor was asked if he would ever return to EastEnders[/caption]

Cliff was all smiles as he chatted with hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp.

When the conversation shifted to the possibility of revisiting his role in Albert Square, Cliff didn’t shy away from addressing the question.

Alex asked: “We have to ask because we said we would, Cliff, would you ever return to EastEnders to play Minty?”

Cliff responded enthusiastically: “You know what, I loved playing Minty, I had such a ball and you know I’ve been watching the repeats, and I remember how much fun it was and what a laugh we had!

“So never say never, that’s all I’d say. I really had fun doing it and I loved the show and I’m really grateful for everything it’s done for me.”

However, he then added: “Never say never, but I don’t like going backwards, I like to keep my eyes on the forward.”

Cliff first stepped into the role of Minty the mechanic in 2002, and quickly became a fan favourite for his sense of humour.

In 2010 the character decided to leave life in Walford behind him after a string of personal setbacks, including failed relationships.

Since leaving the iconic soap, Cliff Parisi has kept himself busy with a variety of acting roles.

His portrayal of Fred Buckle in Call The Midwife has earned him continued acclaim, and he’s also made appearances in shows such as Doctor Who.

EastEnders fans have been begging soap bosses to bring him back for the 40th anniversary of the show.

One viewer pointed out that he was introduced as an old friend of Phil Mitchell’s, and suggested that since Phil was going through a rough patch, it would be perfect timing for Cliff to make a reappearance.

I spent £25 on delivery to bag the perfect dress overnight for my birthday but people say I look like a praying mantis

A WOMAN has left people in hysterics after showing off her birthday party outfit.

Lauren, from the US, took to social media to show the emerald green number off but it had one detail that left everyone stunned by the outfit.

Lauren spent £25 on delivery to make sure it came on time[/caption]

In the clip, she revealed she paid £25 ($30) for next day delivery to ensure her dream dress arrived in time for her birthday celebrations.

Lauren said: “Y’all, today is my birthday.

“I paid $30 to overnight ship this dress I saw online.

“I was like, oh, I love an emerald green.

“Y’all wanna see it?”

She stood close to the camera at first so you could see the gorgeous deep green colour of the dress and the beautiful pleated plissé satin material.

But she then moved away to show the mini dress off in all its glory and it left people stunned by how big the sleeves were.

Lauren herself was shocked by the massive sculptural rounded shell sleeves.

The design of the arms looked like the on-trend barrel jeans and had an added drawstring for adjustability.

“I have to leave the house soon,” she said looking at herself in horror.

“New trend alert! Barrel jeans for arms,” she sarcastically captioned the post.

Hottest fashion trends of 2025

Fabulous’ Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend has shared the biggest trends from the high street.

The East/West Bag

Baguette bags have had a good run after returning from the 90s shoulders of Sarah Jessica Parker to modern fashion icons like Hailey Bieber.

In 2025 the East/West bag, which is a similar but elongated shape with has long, thing straps that are easy to throw over your shoulders.

They’ve been on runway models arms at nearly ever designers shows like Burberry, Givenchy and Bottega Veneta and are hitting the highstreet too.

Powder pink

Bright fuchsia pink had its day after the release of the Barbie film in 2023 and didn’t appear last year, however for this year the more polished and expensive looking pale shade is taking over.

Pantone may say that it’s the year of Mocha Mousse, but the catwalks say otherwise. From Prada to Erdem the subtle look was all over the spring/summer catwalks worn head-to-toe or on its own.

If the sugary shade is too girly for you then look to sharp suiting for a androgynous take on the colour.

The shell jacket

The 80’s classic is back but with a sleek and minimal new twist for 2025.

We all know that for most of spring we’re likely to see rain and, let’s face it, snow and your practical coat of choice should be a cagoule  jacket.

Depop revealed one of its big trend predictions for this year is retro sportswear with surges in ‘80s windbreakers’.

Seen on the stylish streets of Copenhagen, to the Miu Miu catwalk – hurrah to mums who have an emergency raincoat crumpled underneath their pushchair, you’re in fashion.

The turn-up jeans

Whilst jeans shape remains the same, barrel jeans are still going to be seen everywhere, the way we’re styling them is different.

This season transform your wide leg, baggy denims into turn ups.

And for this look size doesn’t matter, whilst deep turn-ups pairs are a hit from jean trend-leaders, Citizens of Humanity, a slight fold is still just as good – as only as it’s just one single fold.

Peep-toe shoe

Get your pedicures booked in sharpish as this season your toes are the main event.

After a long hiatus the peep-toe has been welcomed back into the fashion fold by brands like Hermes, Miu Miu and Tory Burch showing plain and embellished footwear all with the tiny hole.

From mules, to pumps and clogs, yes clogs will be around too, there are lots of different styles that are set to sweep the high street, but they will have peep-toe.

Sheer blouses

See-through looks have always lived on the catwalk but rarely filter into everyday life, until last season.

Designers Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford loved sheer looks on their SS25 catwalks and M&S even had sell out success with their black sheer pencil skirt from last season.

Expect to see more sheer looks lining supermarket aisles and high street shops in the form of skirts, tops and frocks.

People were quick to take to the comments and were in hysterics over her dress.

One person wrote: “I was NOT prepared.”

Another commented: “At first I thought “oh, that looks so pretty” then you stepped away.”

“It’s giving praying mantis,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “I was sitting here like “it’s not gonna be that bad”. then my jaw was on the floor.”

“It’s giving cactus,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “What a nightmare.”

Two were 17-year-old girls who told officers about the “awful” treatment they had experienced at the hands of smuggling gangs.

The driver of the lorry, a 59-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of assisting illegal entry into the UK.

He has been bailed until April.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesperson said: “All seven people have been transferred to the immigration services and an investigation is ongoing.”

Power play & selfishness – relationships may fail due to ‘birth order’ so should you date an oldest or youngest sibling?

HAVING a successful relationship that stands the test of time can be challenging – but could you and your partner’s birth order play a part?

Many people claim that whether they are the oldest sibling or the middle child, it has affected their personality.

Getty
Scientists believe that your birth order can affect your relationships as an adult[/caption]

So it follows that some people believe this could spill over into dating life too.

Some psychologists insist that couples may be more or less suited to one another depending on the order in which they were both.

Expert Kevin Leman wrote a book on how he believes birth order can influence a relationship, called The New Birth Order Book: Why You are the Way You are.

In it he references a study from the Journal of Marriage and Family that looked at the relationship quality of 236 couples and their birth orders.

Using this book and a number of other studies, we’ve compiled a guide to who you should really be dating based on your own siblings.

Of course, each relationship is different and it’s important to note there may be some exceptions to the rules…

If you are the eldest child…

Traits: Organised, in charge, ambitious, authoritative

Best match: Lastborn

Worst match: Another firstborn

If you are a firstborn child, you stand the best chance if you are paired with a lastborn.

This is according to a study conducted on 3,000 families by Walter Toman, a professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Germany.

Kevin’s book claimed this is down to an “opposites attract” relationship.

While the eldest born person likes to take the leads, the youngest born person keeps the relationship light-hearted and easy going.

Apparently this works best if you are a firstborn female and lastborn male.

A firstborn and a firstborn pairing can lead to a power struggle, as they both like to be in control.

Meanwhile, a firstborn can be left confused at a middleborn’s lack of ability to open up.

However, if your pairing isn’t optimal, this doesn’t mean it is destined to fail from the start.

Kevin advises that eldest children should learn to be patient and not criticise their partners and roles should be defined carefully to avoid a power struggle.

Firstborn children should avoid other firstborns if they want to avoid clashes[/caption]

If you are a middle child…

Traits: Peacemaker, accommodating, eager to please

Best match: Lastborn

Worst match: Another middle child

Kevin found that middle children may struggle to communicate compared to first and lastborn children – which can make two of them a difficult pairing.

He found they tend to bottle up emotions and don’t confront others.

However, they can make for loyal partners who are good with compromising and keeping the peace in a relationship.

This works as long as they don’t put aside their own needs, which can lead to resentment.

Middle children tend to get on best with lastborn people who are often socially outgoing with good communication skills.

Middleborn children can find it hard to open up about their emotions[/caption]

If you are a lastborn…

Traits: Sociable, fun, daring, care-free

Best match: Firstborn

Worst match: Another lastborn

Having two lastborn people in a couple can be chaotic, according to the research.

It was found that they can have a tendency to get into financial difficulties and struggle to both take responsibility for bills and chores.

Kevin advises you should avoid being defensive and hold each other accountable for getting things done.

Dr Caroline West further explained to Glamour: “Lastborn children may be adventurous and social as they grew up with older siblings and often tried to keep up with them.

“This sense of risk taking and adventure can be fun in a relationship, but can cause issues when dealing with issues that arise. The initial honeymoon stage is fun and exciting, however lastborns may struggle as this phases passes and develops into calm emotional intimacy.”

A young woman whispers in a young man's ear at a bar.

Only children can be too assertive and independent for another only child[/caption]

If you are an only child…

Traits: Independent, ambitious, assertive

Best match: Firstborns or Lastborns

Worst match: Another only child

Growing up alone instils a confidence and independence that can serve you well in life but can be tricky if you date someone who is the same.

Dr Caroline West advised: “Whilst used to being on their own, only children may struggle with compromise or feelings of loneliness.

“In relationships, this might impact how arguments are solved, or how partners are supported. For a relationship to be successful, emotional maturity alongside empathetic and understanding approaches to resolving conflict is key. Create space where each partner feels that they are safe to be vulnerable and talk about their true feelings.”

Signs your relationship is heading for a divorce

  1. Persistent Communication Breakdowns
Constant misunderstandings, arguments, or a complete lack of meaningful conversation can signal deep-seated issues.
  2. Emotional Distance
Feeling like roommates rather than partners, with a noticeable lack of intimacy or emotional connection.
  3. Frequent Criticism and Contempt
Regularly criticising each other and showing contempt, such as sarcasm, eye-rolling, or mocking, can erode the relationship’s foundation.
  4. Unresolved Conflicts
Recurrent arguments about the same issues without any resolution can indicate deeper incompatibilities.
  5. Loss of Trust
Trust is crucial in any relationship. If it’s been broken and cannot be rebuilt, it may be a sign that the relationship is in trouble.
  6. Different Life Goals
Significant differences in future aspirations, such as career goals, lifestyle choices, or family planning, can create insurmountable divides.
  7. Avoidance
Preferring to spend time apart rather than together, whether through work, hobbies, or social activities, can indicate a desire to escape the relationship.
  8. Lack of Support
Feeling unsupported, whether emotionally, financially, or practically, can lead to feelings of isolation and resentment.
  9. Financial Disagreements
Constantly arguing about money, spending habits, or financial priorities can strain the relationship.
  10. Infidelity
Whether physical or emotional, infidelity can be a major breach of trust and a sign of deeper issues in the relationship.
  11. Changes in Affection
A noticeable decrease in affection, physical touch, or romantic gestures can indicate a loss of connection.

During Lord Sugar’s ownership of Spurs in the 1990s, however, Littner worked as chief executive at White Hart Lane.

He resigned as one of the club’s directors in 2001, around the time that Daniel Levy became chairman.

Following Tottenham’s 2-1 North London derby defeat to Arsenal earlier this week, a fan wrote on X: “Well @claudelittner can you please have a word with levy and tell him to fire postocoglou.”

Littner responded: “I have no influence over Daniel. I believe he has the best interests of Spurs at heart.

“I would dismiss Ange. He is way out of his depth.”

Littner then added his opinion on Tottenham’s ownership situation.

He continued: “Daniel is no fool & urgently needs a buyer with deep pockets to acquire the Club & invest in top players.

“The sooner, the better.”

Tottenham are languishing in 14th in the Premier League with just 24 points from 21 games.

They have won just one of their last nine Prem matches, and are closer to the relegation zone than the European places.

Postecoglou now has a worse win percentage as Spurs boss than unpopular former managers Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.

But for now at least, it’s claimed that Tottenham chiefs are not planning to make a change.

One saving grace for Postecoglou this season has been Spurs’ performances in the cups.

Having knocked out both Manchester clubs in previous rounds, Tottenham hold a slender 1-0 semi-final lead over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup, ahead of next month’s Anfield second leg.

Spurs are ninth in the Europa League league phase and will likely achieve a top eight finish with wins in their remaining two games, against Hoffenheim and Elfsborg.

They will travel to Aston Villa in the FA Cup fourth round, having beaten non-league Tamworth 3-0 after extra time last weekend.
