The former Dawson’s Creek star is currently starring in a play on Broadway named Our Town by Thorton Wilder.
Katie, 46, is best known for her role Joey Potter in the 90s teen drama alongside Michelle Williams and James Van Der Beek.
The current run of her production in the famous New York City theatre district is about to come to its scheduled end.
As she celebrated the success of the show backstage, she was joined by a very famous television personality.
The film star took to social media as she cosied up to her co-star, Big Bang Theory actor Jim Parsons.
He was dressed in a dark grey blazer as he also attempted to go incognito in a black bowler hat.
Jim usually appears to be clean shaven for his roles such as Sheldon Cooper and for his part in Hidden Figures alongside the likes of Octavia Spencer.
However, in Katie’s behind the scenes snap he was spotted with a thick beard and an accompanying moustache.
The actress captioned the post: “The final days of @ourtownbroadway are upon us.
“I am so grateful for these beautiful souls that continue to bring Thornton’s words to life. I love you @therealjimparsons.”
Fans flooded the comment section as they were left in pure disbelief at Jim’s appearance.
One user wrote: “Jim Parsons w/ a beard !”
A second exclaimed: “Sheldon with a beard is wild.”
“Joey and Sheldon…never saw that coming, but I loved it,” stated someone else.

An 11-year-old girl was grabbed by a man and woman in an attempted abduction.
The girl was approached by the pair on her way to school on Silver Street in Irlam, Manchester, at 8:30am yesterday.
In a separate incident, a child was allegedly grabbed by the throat on their way home from school.
Parents from Moorlands Junior School in Sale, Manchester were informed the pupil had been targeted in an “unprovoked” incident on Thursday, January 16.

RACHEL Reeves insists the UK would be worse off if she hadn’t hiked taxes – as she vows to be in the job for the long haul.
The Chancellor has hit back at calls for her head claiming she’s happy to be the ‘Iron Chancellor’ amid recent market turmoil.
She says borrowing costs would have gone “through the roof” if she hadn’t acted at the Budget.
But she dismissed recent upheaval in the City should be compared to Liz Truss’s mini-Budget back in 2022 when the value of the pound plunged.
Ms Reeves, speaking to the BBC’s Political Thinking podcast, said: “Every decision I make has consequences, but so does the counterfactual.
“If I had made the decision not to address those very real pressures, then this is the consequence: borrowing costs would have gone through the roof.
“Borrowing costs not just for Government but for families and businesses, like it did when Liz Truss was prime minister.”
Her comments come as inflation unexpectedly this week and there was a return to growth but it was lower than expected at 0.1 per cent.
Despite some claims that Sir Keir Starmer was considering removing his Chancellor, Ms Reeves says she doesn’t take the criticism to heart.
She said: “Some people don’t want me to succeed.
“Some people don’t want this Government to succeed. That’s fair enough. That’s the prerogative, but I’m not going to let them get me down.
“I’m not going to let them stop me from doing what this Government has got a mandate to do, and that is to grow the economy, to make working people better off.”
Downing Street said this week that she would be at the Treasury for the rest of this Parliament – up to 2029 – after Sir Keir earlier dodged a question on the subject.
The PM did say she had his “full confidence”.

Liverpool’s main man mustered just five points after being rested against Accrington Stanley and constricted by Nottingham Forest.
All the alternatives we recommended – Bruno Fernandes (£6.2m), Alexander Isak (£6m) and Eberechi Eze (£4.9m) – registered at least twice as many points as Salah in Gameweek 19.
But that was then and this is now.
Should gaffers go against the Egyptian superstar again or trust he’ll bounce back in Gameweek 20 versus Brentford and Lille?
The Bees boast a formidable home record but they have conceded plenty of goals at the Gtech this season.

My six-month-old baby is the same size as a TWO year old – he wasn’t heavy at birth, but now he’s huge
A MUM has left people stunned by sharing a video of her six-month-old baby – who’s the same size as a two-year-old.
Georgia posted a clip representing her “application to join big baby TikTok” on the social media site, as she kept a tight hold of son Harvey.
In the clip, Georgia said that baby Harvey is half a year old, but already weighs 12.5kg (27.5lbs, 1 stone 9lbs).
He was only 8lbs 3oz at birth, but from around three months, he’s “skyrocketed” in size, his mum added.
However, neither her or her husband’s families were surprised by Harvey’s growth spurt, as apparently they themselves were the same as babies.
“I am also 5’11 and my partner’s 6’3,” Georgia added.
“So you know we’re both tall, we’re undoubtedly probably going to have a tall and big baby!”
But Georgia did take Harvey – who is currently formula fed – to the pediatrician, just to check his size was healthy, with the doctor telling her he “wasn’t too concerned”.
“He thinks it is all just genetics,” she added.
Another reassuring fact is that Harvey is all in proportion.
“Apparently he’s proportionally measuring the size of a two-year-old in terms of his height, weight, head circumference, everything,” she said.
And while he’s “very chubby”, Georgia added that everyone is always telling her that when he starts crawling, the weight will fall off.
“We love him and all his rolls!” she concluded.
“Hey TikTok, please accept our #bigbaby application for baby Harvey,” Georgia captioned the video.
“What does he do for a living?” one person commented on the clip.
To which another hilariously replied that he’s his “mum’s bodyguard”.
“Ok, you win big baby TikTok,” a third insisted.
“Is your back okay??” someone else questioned.

THE heaviest baby recorded to be born in the UK is Guy Carr, who weighed 15lbs 8oz at birth in 1992.
Other big babies include George King, who was 15lbs 7oz when he was born in 2013.
While the appropriately named Alpha Stone Mitchell was 14lbs 15oz when he was born in 2021.
While another asked: “My 6 month old is around 8kg. How is your back?!
“He’s an adorable baby!”
“Aw cute! My back is struggling,” Georgia admitted.
“Bro’s gonna be a 6 foot 7,” another wrote, calling the tot an “absolute unit”.

Manchester City have announced that the goal-scoring machine has signed a 10-year-contract worth £26million per season.
The 24-year-old’s record breaking deal, which runs until 2034, has knocked City team-mate Kevin De Bruyne off his perch as the Prem’s top earner.
It puts the total value close to £250million and overtakes Chelsea‘s nine-year-deal for Cole Palmer to become the longest contract in Prem history.
Haaland, who was previously contracted until 2027, has proved a phenomenon at City, scoring 111 goals in only 126 games since signing from Borussia Dortmund for £50million in summer 2022.

“A disagreement escalated and they had a tiff in the bedroom.
“They were then called outside to take part in a game at the fire pit, where the tension ramped up.
“The topic was brought up again and they started to argue again.
“All the Islanders were shocked as they’d had no idea about the first cross words in the bedroom.
“What had seemed to be the villa’s strongest couple is now looking like the wobbliest connection.”
This comes after last night’s recoupling which saw Scott pick India.
Also during the recoupling, bombshell Casey chose Gabby; Curtis picked Ekin-Su; Marcel opted for Olivia, and Nas coupled up with Catherine.
Ronnie picked Elma; and then Luca chose Kaz.
Then, to stir things up even more, a new bombshell was announced last night.
Tina Stinnes from the 2016 series will be entering the villa tonight, with her set to turn heads among the boys.
“I think I’d like to show myself more, I’d like to show my strength as I wasn’t as strong back then so I’d like to show who I am now,” she told The Sun ahead of her entry.

Olivia claims the royal has a trick for how she positions her arms to look polished.
The professional photographer continued: “When she is standing she often holds her arms in front of her waist.
“This makes a gap between her arms and body which shows off her svelte figure and is a very slimming pose.”
2. Only waves from the elbow
When they are out in public, the royals often showcase their “royal waves”, with Prince Louis’ adorable greeting stealing the show at the Coronation.
To avoid looking too informal during the movement, Kate has a specific strategy.
The photographer observed that Kate doesn’t move her entire arm when she acknowledges the public.
Olivia explained: “Even when she is waving she only moves the arm from the elbow.”
3. Keeps her shoulders down
Kate also has a simple trick for keeping her stance looking elegant when she is smiling at an event.
Olivia advised: “She keeps her shoulders down where a lot of people raise them when smiling.”
