Shoppers are going wild for new Cadbury treat that combines iconic dessert and chocolate
SHOPPERS are going wild for a new Cadbury treat that combines an iconic dessert and chocolate.
The confectionery giant is already dishing out its Easter collection to customers despite the holiday being four months away.
![Two packages of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate with mini eggs.](https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/msemail_472956222_1795720407869876_1431963240568015753_njpg-JS964452715.jpg?strip=all&w=526)
And eagle-eyed shoppers were stunned to see its classic Dairy Milk Dessert range has been extended to now include Mini Egg treats.
The chocolate based dessert comes with smooth Cadbury chocolate dessert and comes with a pot of mini eggs on the side which can be mixed in.
Cadbury sells many variations of this treat including a Buttons pot and a Crunchie version.
These are available to shop all year round, but it is likely the Mini Egg flavour is limited edition.
A post by moderators at Snack Reviews shared the news that the latest take on the treat is now available to buy at Morrison’s.
Fans were quick to chime and share their excitement,
One sweet-toothed shopper typed “NEED” under the post to express their joy.
Another described it as an “elite snack” while a third said it looked “stunning”.
If you are keen to shop the treat at Morrisons it will cost £1.15 for a single 75g tub.
You can however buy a four pack of the dessert on Tesco‘s online supermarket for £3.50 or £2.50 if you have a Tesco Clubcard.
It also comes as a single item which costs £1.15 for non-Clubcard holders or 75p for those who have one.
The product is also available to buy for £1.15 on Ocado.
It comes just days after shoppers went crazy for the return of Cadbury chocolate orange Mini Eggs.
The festive delights, which feature orange-flavoured milk chocolate in a crisp sugar shell, went down a treat with customers when they launched two years ago.
those keen to try out the eggs should be aware that they are only stocked in one major supermarket.
It appears the snack can only be bought at Tesco, with one 80g bag costing £1.85.
Customers with a Tesco Clubcard can pick up the snack for £1.65, giving them a chance to save 20p.
Despite Easter being over four months away, many supermarkets are giving customers the chance to shop chocolate eggs.
B&M Bargains delighted shoppers when they spotted the Cadbury Marble Dairy Milk & White Egg amongst the January Sales.
The popular egg consists of a “thick-sheeled luxury Cadbury Dairy Milk and white Chocolate” according to the chocolate manufacturer’s website.
It includes a 372g marbled giant Easter egg with an extra thick shell and four small chocolate bars to go with it.
On the Cadbury website, the egg is on sale for £12.95.
Easter Eggs are only available in the actual B&M shop at the moment as it can’t be bought online.
The B&M website states: “Unfortunately, our Easter ranges are not available at this time.”
SHOPPING AROUND FOR THE BEST BARGAIN
When hunting for a deal it is important to shop around to make sure you are not being overcharged.
There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.
Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.
For example, Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web.
Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.
Price Spy also logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets.
Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.
How to save money on chocolate

We all love a bit of chocolate from now and then, but you don't have to break the bank buying your favourite bar.
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how to cut costs…
Go own brand – if you’re not too fussed about flavour and just want to supplant your chocolate cravings, you’ll save by going for the supermarket’s own brand bars.
Shop around – if you’ve spotted your favourite variety at the supermarket, make sure you check if it’s cheaper elsewhere.
Websites like Trolley.co.uk let you compare prices on products across all the major chains to see if you’re getting the best deal.
Look out for yellow stickers – supermarket staff put yellow, and sometimes orange and red, stickers on to products to show they’ve been reduced.
They usually do this if the product is coming to the end of its best-before date or the packaging is slightly damaged.
Buy bigger bars – most of the time, but not always, chocolate is cheaper per 100g the larger the bar.
So if you’ve got the appetite, and you were going to buy a hefty amount of chocolate anyway, you might as well go bigger.

Easter Egg prices set to skyrocket with shoppers left ‘sickened’ and saying ‘just don’t buy them’ as key cause revealed
SHOPPERS have suggested boycotting Easter Eggs this spring as prices are set to soar.
One key factor behind the rising costs has been revealed and unfortunately for chocolate lovers – it’s only going to get worse.
![Cadbury Mini Eggs Easter egg and box with mini eggs.](https://www.thesun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/easter-egg-shrinkflation-products-888876579.jpg?strip=all&w=960)
One customer took to social media after he was baffled by the price of Cadbury Mini Eggs.
The musician, who goes by the name JUDVH, pointed out that a 270g bag is now £4.85 and argued that the “inflation does not add up”.
In a TikTok video he said: “Cadbury’s and or Sainsbury’s you ill mannered troglodytes £4.85 for a 270g of Mini Eggs.
“Once upon a time these were Lindt prices and even they’ve only just about gone up to £6. Maximum these should be £1 to the 100 grams.
“Your inflation does not add up. To add insult to the injury you’ve labelled this a family pack, a family pack of rats.”
“Whose family are you feeding with 270g of Mini Eggs? It would be wise of you to heed these warnings, Sainsbury’s. Your little profit margin is not worth this wrath, fix it.”
The viral video sparked fury with his followers, with one user commenting: “They’re in Tesco for £1.65 on clubcard, that’s the only way I’m buying them.”
“I’m sickened every time we do a shop!! Everything is getting smaller and smaller, some things don’t taste the same but the prices are just getting higher and higher,” cried a second.
Another commented: “And the packet says one portion is 8 eggs. 8! It’s all an absolute catastrophe.”
The price hike of Cadbury chocolate eggs has unfolded across several huge stores.
In Tesco and Morrisons, a 110g Mini Egg bar cost £1.25 but they are now £2 in both stores.
According to Mondelez International, which owns Cadbury, the main reason for the increase in cost is the rising price of cocoa and dairy.
A spokesperson said: “We understand the economic pressures that consumers continue to face and raising prices is a last resort for our business.
“However, as a food producer, we are continuing to experience significantly higher input costs across our supply chain, with ingredients such as cocoa and dairy, which are widely used in our products, costing far more than they have done previously.
“Meanwhile, other costs like energy and transport also remain high. This means that our products continue to be much more expensive to make and while we have absorbed these costs where possible, we still face considerable challenges.
“As a result, we are having to make some carefully considered list price increases to our Cadbury Mini Eggs so that we can continue to provide consumers with the brands they love, without compromising on the great taste and quality they expect.”
For some, the price was too much to reckon with and they suggested ditching Easter Eggs all together.
“Just don’t buy them,” one wrote.
“Buy them after Easter… half price,” another savvy shopper added.
“My kids can have a fried egg at those prices it’s daylight robbery,” another added.
Another Facebook user shared photos of chocolate eggs on shop shelves with prices ranging from £1.25 to £13.
“My kids can have a fried egg at those prices it’s daylight robbery,” she scoffed.
The Sun as approached Cadbury for comment.

Watch England U21 goalkeeper save TWO penalties after ‘incredible s***housery’ as opponent is left in tears
JAMES TRAFFORD saved TWO penalties to deny Sunderland a crucial win in the race for the Premier League.
The Burnley goalkeeper twice saved from Wilson Isidor during a chaotic 0-0 draw at Turf Moor.

Trafford was the hero after keeping out Isidor’s first spot-kick with just five minutes remaining of normal time.
The England Under-21 keeper was animated on his line, jumping around and slapping the crossbar as Isidor began his run-up.
He dived to his right and was able to successfully palm the penalty away.
Scott Parker‘s men didn’t learn their lesson though, with Oliver Sonne adjudged to have brought down Dennis Cirkin in the box four minutes into stoppage time.
A fracas broke out as players from both sides piled in.
And Trafford was hailed by Burnley fans for his “incredible s***housery” as he hit the deck in the melee, eventually earning himself a yellow card.
Isidor was given a chance to appease his earlier miss by Black Cats boss Regis Le Bris – but was made to wait for almost two minutes before tempers calmed down.
The 24-year-old went for the same spot as his first attempt, slamming the ball towards the bottom right corner.

But Trafford guessed correctly again, palming the ball behind for a corner before being mobbed by his teammates.
A gutted Isidor was spotted in tears, as one fan wrote on X in response to the madness: “Two poor penalty decisions by the ref, two poor penalties.”
Another said: “Why on earth would you let him hit the 2nd after missing the 1st? Baffling decision.”
And a third argued: “Embarrassing giving him MoM after the gamesmanship.”
While one Newcastle fan laughed: “Sign him up right now hahahaha.”
The goalless draw leaves Burnley sitting second in the Championship, level on points with leaders Leeds who now have a game in hand.

Sunderland are back in fourth, just two points off the automatic spots.
Midfielder Enzo Le Fee made his debut for the Black Cats at Turf Moor after a high-profile loan switch from Roma.
Le Fee joined the Serie A club last summer in a £19.4million deal from French club Rennes.
Le Bris said: “It’s a good statement for the club because it shows that we are attractive.
“The environment is positive to grow, to live big emotions and to improve.”
Love Island’s Luca Bish branded a ‘gold digger’ as he makes shock comment to Tina after dating millionaire Gemma Owen
LOVE Island All Stars’ Luca Bish has been branded a “gold digger” after making a shock comment to new bombshell Tina Stinnes about her wealth.
Luca famously coupled up with millionaire Gemma Owen, who is the daughter of retired England footballer Michael Owen, during his first stint in the villa.

And fans are now wondering if he is setting his sights on another cash-rich romance after Tina’s surprise arrival in the villa.
Tina originally appeared in series two of Love Island before appearing on E4 reality show Made In Cheslea.
After stepping foot in the All Stars villa on Friday night, she met Luca for a date and talk quickly turned to her wealth.
As they sat on the grass together, Luca asked Tina what she had been doing since leaving the villa in 2016.
Tina replied: “Well, I have my company and was on Made In Chelsea.”
Luca told her: “Ah, you sound posh.”
Looking taken aback, Tina asked: “Oh? Sound posh?”
Former fishmonger Luca said: “No… like you sound like you’ve got money.”
Tina attempted to laugh Luca’s crass comment off, saying: “I don’t know whether that’s a compliment or not!”
Fans were shocked by Luca’s conversation with Tina and some shared their thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter.
One said: “Luca is the biggest gold digger and he’s not it even trying to hide it.”
Another added: “Luca is the biggest GOLDDIGGER.”
A third added: “’You sound like you have money’, Luca is not beating the stay at home boyfriend allegations.”
And someone else chimed in: “Lmao Luca was like my lucky stars another moneybags.”
Bombshell Tina arrived in the Love Island All Stars villa on Friday night.
Her fellow series two alumni Scott Thomas was delighted to see her and quickly made it clear he plans to pursue her.
Luca, meanwhile, is also hoping to find romance on the show following his split with Gemma.

The couple fell for each other on the 2022 series of Love Island and Luca has not had a serious relationship since their break-up two years ago.
Ahead of his comeback, Luca was asked how he’d feel if Gemma was brought back in as a bombshell.
He was quick to make his feelings known when chatting to The Sun.
Luca said: “If Gemma walks back in… I’d walk out. I’d probably say ‘I’m a Love Islander, Get Me Out’.”
Opening up on whether he and Gemma could get back together, Luca added: “No, you can read a book twice but the ending never changes, that’s how I look at stuff like that… sorry Gemma.”
Luca did, however, insist there were no hard feelings.
“I’d back her all the way and just hope she’d have a better experience than last time,” he said.

Five handy tips to ease the effects of cold weather on your hands
COLD weather can play havoc with your hands.
The chilly temperatures can strip them of moisture, leading to split nails, dry skin and painful cracks.
Ease the effects of winter with these handy tips.
SHOW HANDS SOME GLOVE: A pair of mitts can really help your hands through the winter months.
Wear gloves outside so that the cold air doesn’t zap the moisture out of your skin.
For washing up, protect your hands with rubber gloves. Apply hand cream before putting on the gloves and the warm water will help the cream soothe your hands.
Before bed, apply cream and then wear a pair of cotton gloves overnight to help it penetrate the skin. Cotton gloves are down from £2.50 to £1.25 at Boots.
NAIL IT: Dry, brittle and split nails are a real pain in winter, when our hands are craving moisture. The answer may lie in your food cupboard.
Rubbing olive oil into your nails and cuticles each day can strengthen and soothe them, reducing the risk of splits.
NURSE THEM: Nursem is a handcare brand started by former children’s intensive care nurse Antonia Philp, whose hands were left cracked and sore from constant handwashing.
For every hand cream you buy, the company gives a month’s free supply to a nurse or midwife.
Sun readers can save 15 per cent at nursem.co.uk using the code SUNSAVERS15 with no minimum spend, until the end of January (one use per customer).
OATALLY LOVELY: To soothe winter hands, try this. Blitz 100g oats in a food mixer until it becomes a powder.
Add to a bowlful of warm water with 50ml of olive oil. Soak hands for ten minutes before drying and apply hand cream.
MAKES SCENTS: The fragrance in some soaps and hand creams can further irritate sensitive hands. Try fragrance-free ones.
Hot water will dry out your hands even more, so keep the temperature lukewarm. Dry your hands properly afterwards as any leftover water will make your hands even dryer.
