‘I begged him not to drink at my sister’s wedding’ sobs Molly Mae as she details Tommy Fury’s ‘disastrous’ boozing

MOLLY-MAE Hague begged Tommy Fury to not drink at her sister’s wedding after revealing that problems related to his boozing were behind their painful split in August.

In scenes broadcast on her new warts-and-all Prime Video documentary, Molly Mae: Behind It All, she sobs as she recalls pleading with the boxer to ditch the alcohol during her sister Zoe’s big day in July.

She candidly admits she begged the boxer not to drink at her sister’s wedding in July[/caption]

Not holding back, the influencer, 25, struggles to hold back tears as she recalls his “disastrous” drinking that caused problems in their relationship.

Opening up about how her memories of her sister Zoe’s wedding day were ruined by Tommy’s drinking, she says: “At my sister’s wedding I literally begged him, I pleaded with him to not drink.

“And … it’s just really sad … I don’t know why I’m crying now. It’s just so sad. It just affected me.”

During the candid opening episode, the former Love Island star talks to her mum, Debbie, in the £3.5m mansion she used to share with Tommy and reveals the full extent of her struggle behind the scenes as their five year relationship broke down.

“He wanted to have a family life but also have the life of a 25 year old boy with no responsibilities and the two don’t go hand in hand,” she says. “He’s never had an alcohol problem, it’s just that alcohol caused problems for us.

“It got to a point where I wasn’t really looking forward to anything because alcohol affected it so much.”

And when her mum admits she can “only cite a couple of examples where he’s had some alcohol and it’s not led to anything disastrous” Molly hits back: “I can’t think of any.”

Tommy and Molly’s shock split came in August last year when she posted a statement to Instagram, telling fans: “Never in a million years did I think I’d ever have to write this. After five years of being together, I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way.”

He was later accused of cheating on her with a ‘blonde stranger’ on a lads’ holiday to Macedonia – something Tommy has repeatedly denied.

The former Love Island star admitted yesterday that alcohol and partying was behind his split from the star, saying: “We broke up because I had a problem with alcohol and I couldn’t be the partner that I wanted to be anymore.

“It kills me to say it, but I couldn’t. I loved a pint of beer, loved to drink.”

But clearly, things aren’t over between them yet.

Yesterday, Tommy revealed he’s beaten his battle with booze and is back on the straight and narrow, while Molly admits in the documentary that: “What’s getting me through is the hope that Tommy and I will end up back together.”

Molly-Mae's glow-down from ‘glamour model’ to ‘yummy mummy’

Celebrity PR Expert, Ed Hopkins told Fabulous: “I believe Molly-Mae Hague‘s new look is more than just a style change but a powerful statement of who she is becoming.

“It underscores her journey towards authenticity, maturity, and sophistication and is likely to enhance her success and influence in the years to come.”

Brand and Culture Expert Nick Ede agreed, and told Fabulous: “Molly-Mae has transformed herself into a yummy mummy who has ditched the glamour model style for a more relaxed and natural look.

“She’s becoming more down to earth and relatable to people and cleverly showing a softer side which will win her legions more fans in the process.”

According to Ed Hopkins, Molly-Mae’s chic new look could be “highly lucrative” for the star.

Ed told Fabulous: “Molly-Mae Hague’s transformation towards a more natural, chic look seems to be a testament to her personal growth and evolving style.

“This change, which has become more pronounced since she became a mother, appears to reflect her journey towards embracing authenticity and sophistication.

“It’s possible that this new image could be highly lucrative for Molly-Mae.

“Her chic, understated style might appeal to a wider audience, including more mature demographics and high-end brands, potentially opening up lucrative endorsement deals and partnerships.

“By adopting a more elegant look, she seems to align herself with premium and luxury brands that favour natural beauty and sophistication, which could lead to higher-paying collaborations.

“Additionally, with consumers increasingly valuing authenticity and natural beauty, her new image could be both timely and marketable.”

Nick Ede agreed and told Fabulous: “She has started to promote some really great luxury brands including the cosmetics brand Tatcha and with her laid back look she will make a lot of money from brands looking to align with her.”

Ed also noted that Molly-Mae’s transformation may be a sign that she is looking to step away from her reality show past.

He continued: “Molly-Mae’s transformation also seems to symbolise her desire even more so to well and truly step out of the shadow of her Love Island persona.

“The shift to a more mature and unique style appears to demonstrate her growth and her wish to be seen as an individual beyond her reality TV beginnings.

“By shedding the bold, flashy look associated with her time on Love Island, she might be rebranding herself as a serious businesswoman and influencer who is carving out her own identity.

“This new look helps her stand out in the crowded influencer market, showcasing her as a trendsetter with a distinctive, refined aesthetic.”

Nick agreed and claimed: “Shedding the flash looks she previously went for, she’s also detaching herself from the Love Island stereotype and stepping out as her own person with a cool look that’s not flashy but totally on trend.

“Gone are the ‘look at me’ posts and in are family style posts and trend led fashion statements.”

MOLLY-MAE Hague has admitted that she’s ‘traumatised’ seeing Tommy Fury, but ‘hopes they’ll get back together.’

The 25-year-old reality star opens up to her mum Debbie in her new Prime Video series, Molly Mae: Behind It All, as she discusses the aftermath of her split from the boxer.

The couple met on Love Island[/caption]

Molly and Tommy met in 2019 on Love Island – and had baby Bambi in January 2023. Six months later, they got engaged in a romantic proposal – and planned to get married this year. And in the long-awaited documentary, Molly admits that she didn’t want to break up with her fiance – but she had to.

An emotional Molly tells her mum: “It’s all so fresh and I feel really traumatised by the last couple of months.

“And when I see him, I see all that trauma. I am angry at him and I am very hurt, I can’t help that.

“I think he hopes in the future that we will be back together as a family. Obviously I never ever wanted Bambi to come from a broken home because I did.”

Now, in a new interview with Men’s Health, the 25-year-old dad has admitted the split was due to alcohol addiction.

He said: “The turnaround point was in December I thought ‘I can’t do this anymore, I cannot do it’.

“I was like ‘something needs to change’ or else I’m going to end up in a ditch because that was the way I was going.

“I often said that to my brother most night and my mates, they all know that.”

Tommy continued: “I can’t remember how many countless nights I had in like my living room or their living room just crying for no reason, like I get that drunk I just start crying and talk about other stuff and it’s just like, you can’t go on like that.

“So at the end of the day this year what’s different is me. That whole approach to life.

“Last year was awful, you know, and I want to get rid of that. This year is about being thoughtful, it’s about being kind, it’s about being the right partner, it’s about being a good partner, it’s about being there more.”

MOLLY-MAE Hague has revealed the biggest fear she faced when Tommy’s drinking left her ‘feeling like a single mum’ to daughter Bambi.

As she rocked Bambi and put her to sleep, the Filter founder, who lives in a huge £3.5million mansion, admitted: “I’ve had a few moments recently where I’ve genuinely felt like a single mum.”

The Love Island star turned businesswoman also added: “It’s just, I don’t know, sometimes it just really hits you that, oh actually I’m in this alone now.”

After news just days ago that the real reason she and Tommy split was down to his addiction to alcohol, the Maebe founder then added: “Going from having this life where every day I was a free bird to kind of do and go and have whatever day I wanted to have, and then suddenly, overnight, my life wasn’t my life anymore.”

The blonde beauty, who recently found herself at the heart of BBL rumours, revealed the biggest fear she faced when Tommy’s drinking left her feeling like a ‘single mum’, as she questioned: “Have I just ruined any chances of me actually being able to work or do anything other than taking care of this little person?”

But despite her struggles, Molly-Mae confessed: “Being a mum, it is amazing and I feel like as the days go on, I’m loving it even more as Bambi grows.

“But at the start, it was a lot to take in, a lot to navigate.”

The influencer gave fans a close-up look into her home life during the Prime Video episode, as she admitted: “I think I wouldn’t change anything that’s happened over the last five years, because now we have her and she’s just the best thing ever, so I’m very grateful.”

But the content creator, who has 1.9million subscribers on YouTube, explained that having a child young was not what she initially planned.

She acknowledged: “It was never really something that I imagined I’d young, I never really wanted to have children young, but when I met Tommy and we were really in love and we were really happy together, I thought, do you know what, something that’s half of me and half of you and something that we’ve made together, that felt really magical.”

The mum-of-one then shared a snippet of a Facetime call with Tommy, whereby he said goodnight to the almost two-year-old.

And moments later, Molly-Mae told her mum Debbie: “Tommy just rang me to say goodnight to Bambi.”

Opening up on navigating co-parenting, she added: “He has been popping round to see her.”

But clearly still devastated about the breakup, she shared: “It’s all so fresh, I feel really traumatised by the last couple of months and when I see him, I see all that trauma.

“I am angry at him and I am very hurt, I can’t help that.”

Timeline of Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury's split

After five years together, Molly-Mae and Tommy Fury split up in August 2024.

At around 4pm on Wednesday, August 14, Molly-Mae and Tommy suffer an explosive showdown and Molly-Mae announces her split from fiancé Tommy Fury, saying ‘ I never imagined our story would end, especially not this way’.

An hour later Tommy shares a separate and brief statement confirming they have parted ways, and thanks Molly-Mae for making him ‘a dad’.

The real reason they split emerges and on Thursday, August 15 The Sun reveals how Molly-Mae learned Tommy had cheated on her – leading to an explosive showdown.

On Saturday, August 17, The Sun reveals how Molly-Mae had been sent an upsetting video showing Tommy kissing a girl in a nightclub in North Macedonia on a lads holiday.

Exactly one week after the split a Danish woman accused of getting close to Tommy speaks to The Sun. On Wednesday, August 21, she denies she is the girl who kissed Tommy.

Despite this, she claimed: “He hopes in the future that we will be back together as a family.

“Obviously I never, ever wanted Bambi to come from a broken home, because I did come from a broken home.”

Have I just ruined any chances of me actually being able to work or do anything other than taking care of this little person?

Molly-Mae

Prior to the release of her new show, Molly-Mae previously revealed that she didn’t enjoy motherhood in Bambi’s baby-days, but is proud of Tommy despite their split.

Five months after the Love Island star called it quits with the father of her child, the content creator got candid on co-parenting.

In an interview with Grazia, the star, who recently got emotional as she spoke after her first festive season as a single mother, explained that she and Tommy have shielded their daughter from the hardest parts of the break-up.

She confessed: “I’m really proud of the job Tommy and I have done so far with raising her.

“We’ve really protected her, and she’s so young I feel like she’s not felt this happening.”

She added: “I used to sit and think, ‘This isn’t how I imagined it would look,’ and I was confused as to why I felt like it looked one way for other people, but then one way for me.

“I didn’t feel like I was enjoying it really but, as the months passed, I feel like I’ve really found my feet with it now. I love motherhood so much.”

Molly-Mae then shared all on “not getting everything perfect”, as she explained: “I’ve become really good at accepting the highs and lows of this job. My relationship breakdown being in the public eye was hard, but also, I have a young daughter, so she was my strength.”

“It’s just waking up and pushing on because life has to. I’ve got businesses to run, a life to live and a daughter to raise.”

Britain’s best pub revealed that went from boarded up to thriving haven – check if your local made the list

A PUB which was once boarded up and faced permanent closure has been crowned the best boozer in Britain.

The Bailey Head in Oswestry was at risk of shuttering for good just nine years ago before being bought by a husband and wife team.

The Bailey Head pub.
The Bailey Head was once at risk of closing for good

Today it was crowned Pub of the Year by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), one of the organisation’s most prestigious awards.

The pub was recognised for its community and inclusion efforts, alongside its section of craft ales from independent brewers.

Over the years, it has produced a number of ales including a beetroot flavoured IPA and a separate pale ale to raise money for pancreatic cancer.

The Bailey Head had been failing under the ownership of a major pub company and was listed by CAMRA as an Asset of Community Value (ACV) to protect it from redevelopment.

It closed and was then bought by Duncan Borrowman and Grace Goodlad who chose to reopen the town centre pub.

Commenting on their win, Grace said: “From small beginnings nine years ago, we have taken everything one step at a time.

“Through COVID, slowly improving to the point where we now have twelve handpulls serving six cask beers and six ciders and perries, plus sixteen other draught lines.”

While Duncan added: “We have always had a policy of Everyone Welcome, any person should feel happy and comfortable coming in by themselves and enjoying a drink, either on their own or chatting to other customers.”

The pair fought off competition from 20 other pubs across Britain.

That included three finalists, one of which was the Black Horse in Preston a Victorian Grade II listed pub opposite the historic Preston open market.

Three B’s, a micro pub in Bridlington that focuses on stocking local Yorkshire-based beers, was also named as a finalist

Finally, Little Green Dragon in Winchmore Hill in London was also a named as a finalist.

This pub opened in 2017 and sources cask beer from microbreweries and other independent brewers.

There were then a total of 17 pubs which were shortlisted, but did not make it into the final or win the crown of best pub.

You can check out the full list of finalists and pubs shortlisted on our interactive map below.

It marks the first tine in two years that the Tamworth Tap in Tamworth, a town about 14 miles north of Birmingham has not won the achievement.

The Sun visited the award winning pub last year, which you can check out here.

It comes amid a challenging time for pubs and breweries with many buckling under the pressure or rising costs and low consumer spending.

Laura Emson, CAMRA Awards Director, said: “January can be an especially tough time for our locals, so please get out and visit them and provide the support that is so desperately needed for pubs across the UK.”

The jobs that are most in demand as adverts surge with salaries of up to £81,000

THE most in-demand jobs for 2025 have been revealed – and you can earn up to £81,000 without a degree.

If you’re thinking about a career change this year, there are plenty of opportunities on offer – and some come with hefty pay packets.

Illustration of a table showing the ten most in-demand jobs, their year-over-year job posting increase, and average salary.
The most in-demand jobs have been revealed

The list of the most in-demand jobs is based on job listings across the UK, and the roles included are commanding above-average pay increases.

Many of these positions will require formal educational qualifications and training as well as evidence of required skills.

Demand is soaring for workers in schools, hospitals, law firms, and even cutting-edge tech, according to a new report from employment site Indeed.

Teachers are seeing one of the biggest recruitment drives, with job ads shooting up by 245% in the last year alone.

Experts say it’s down to a retention crisis that’s left schools struggling to hold onto staff.

The average pay for a teacher is now £39,356 a year, making it a tempting option for job hunters.

But you’ll need a degree and specific qualifications like a PGCE to step into the classroom.

Doctors are also in high demand as the NHS battles ongoing staff shortages.

Healthcare workers are among the UK’s most essential professionals, but it takes years of training to qualify – including a medical degree and supervised practice.

In the legal world, jobs for property solicitors and commercial directors are booming.

The number of vacancies has more than doubled, with average salaries of £53,000 for solicitors and a massive £81,800 for commercial directors

You’ll usually need a degree in law and further training to take up one of these positions, but for anyone qualified, it’s clear firms are crying out for talent.

Tech jobs are also heating up, especially in artificial intelligence (AI).

Despite fears that robots could replace workers, it turns out they’re creating jobs instead.

AI product managers are raking in average salaries of £77,343, and demand for tech-savvy workers is showing no signs of slowing.

While some roles require a degree in computer science, others focus more on hands-on skills that can be learned through training courses.

Job hunting without a degree

You don’t always need a university degree to land a top-paying job, though.

Air traffic controllers, for instance, can earn around £91,000 a year after completing specialist training.

And if you’re into gaming, developers make £35,711 on average – and many of them get started with coding boot camps.

We’ve also rounded up the top 20 highest paying jobs in 2025 that don’t require a degree.

Wages on the up

The boom in job ads comes as wages across the UK continue to climb.

According to Statista, the median salary for full-time workers hit £37,430 in 2024, up from £34,963 the year before.

That’s good news for workers, as wages are finally outpacing inflation.

At its peak in October 2022, inflation hit a shocking 11.1%, but it’s since dropped to just 2.2% and is forecast to fall further this year.

With more cash in people’s pockets and employers desperate for recruits, there’s never been a better time to switch careers – especially if you’re looking to earn big.

The key to a good CV

The first impression your potential employer will get of you is from the layout of your CV.

Say the wrong thing or make a bad first impression and you could turn a prospective employer off.

A CV should be clear to read, with appropriate headers and in a decent-sized font.

Only ever use words that are work-appropriate when applying for a professional role.

Plus, it goes without saying that your CV should be clear of typos and grammatical errors.

You should also avoid “fun” fonts such as Comic Sans as they’re harder to read and aren’t very professional.

And it turns out including certain words and phrases on the piece of paper will put you in a bad stead for landing your next role.

That’s according to Corinne Mills, managing director of Personal Career Management, who revealed 10 words to steer clear of when writing a CV.

Elsewhere, a recruitment expert has revealed the six things job-seekers should add to their CVs to boost chances of landing an interview.

Tools to use to help you write your CV

HERE are some tools and apps that can help you put together your CV:

  • Resume app: If you struggle formatting your CV, you can choose from 21 templates in the Resume app to help you. And once you’ve put it together, you can export it as a PDF directly to your email. Resume is free to download and use, but has additonal premimum options that you can pay for.
  • Grammarly: It’s important to get your spelling and grammar accurate, so run your CV through a tool such as Grammarly to check for any errors. It’s free to download straight to your desktop.
  • Vizualize.me: If you’ve got an exisiting LinkedIn account, Vizualize.me takes the data and turns it into a timeline of your employment history and a breakdown of your skills. The free tool has six different themes so it’s a good option to make your CV look visually appealing as well.
  • VisualCV: As well as making your CV look eye catching, VisualCV also makes sure it can be read by electronic systems that some recruiters use to filter CVs. It’s also free to sign up for.

Major energy suppliers ranked best to worst as firms urged to ‘up their game’

MILLIONS of customers at some of Britain’s biggest energy firms are receiving treatment that falls below expectations, according to research.

Thousands of households were asked how satisfied they are with their supplier by consumer group Which?.

Logos for several energy suppliers.
The UK’s biggest energy suppliers have been ranked on customer service

At the same time, energy firms were assessed on their behind-the-scenes practices and policies to give an overall score.

It comes as energy prices have stabilised with more fixed deals returning to the energy market, which sees customers tied into staying with a provider for a set amount of time.

With the energy price cap predicted to increase in April, switching to a fixed deal could well be the best way for consumers to cut costs over the next six months.

However, many deals are at a similar price point so customer service should be a major factor when deciding which supplier to switch to.

The top rated firms were Octopus Energy, Utility Warehouse and 100Green.

On the other hand, some of the biggest and best-known firms including British Gas, Scottish Power and Ovo Energy were ranked worst with overall scores below 60%.

Illustration of a ranked list of energy suppliers and their customer service scores.
Which? surveyed customers and assessed behind the scenes to give an overall score

British Gas is one of the UK’s biggest suppliers but is failing customers, according to Which?’s research.

The firm’s customer service was below average; in Which?’s assessment, the supplier performed poorly for the volume of customer complaints it received in the first half of 2024 and for how efficiently it resolved issues.

From September to October 2024, Which? surveyed almost 12,000 energy customers for its annual customer satisfaction survey.

Ovo Energy is now the third-largest energy provider in the UK but also came at the bottom of Which?’s rankings.

The supplier received the lowest customer score of 56% and also poorly for its handling of customer complaints.

So Energy had a customer score of 63% but fared poorly for meeting its smart meter targets, switching, and for its limited monitoring of phone lines and emails outside of working hours and weekends.

Scottish Power had an overall score of 59% and its customer score was the second-lowest in the survey.

The three top scoring suppliers have been crowned Which? Recommended Providers.

Octopus Energy had the highest overall score of 74% with just under nine in 10 customers saying they were satisfied and would recommend the supplier to others.

In Which?’s behind-the-scenes assessment of supplier practices, it scored maximum points for customer support.

Utility Warehouse received the second-highest overall score of 73% and performed well in both the customer satisfaction survey and behind-the-scenes assessment of supplier practices.

And 100Green received an overall score of 70% with a second-highest customer score and also performing well in most areas of Which?’s behind-the-scenes assessment of supplier practices.

Emily Seymour, Which? energy editor, said: “Our research shows that while some energy firms are powering ahead of the competition, others are letting down their customers badly – and that’s unacceptable for such a vital service.

“Some big energy firms – including British Gas, Scottish Power and Ovo Energy – underperformed in our research.

“Any firms falling short urgently need to up their game to ensure they are providing the service and value for money that consumers rightly expect from their energy supplier.”

A spokesperson for British Gas said: “The Which? survey uses data going back as far as September 2023, but we note they have recognised that through our £140m customer support package we provide additional support those who need it most as well as our improvements in making it easier for customers to contact us.

“We’ve invested £50m in customer service over the past 18 months and customers are seeing results.’’

What to do if you’re not happy with your provider

If you are consistently unhappy with the service provided by your energy supplier one of the best things to do is vote with your feet.

In her new Amazon documentary Molly-Mae, 24, speaks about co-parenting their young daughter Bambi.

Molly was on a shoot for her Filter brand at the time of her talking, and struggled to concentrate on the job in hand, amid her split.

She tells the cameras: “My whole coping mechanism over the last few months is that we will get back to a better place.

“The positive part of my life now is that Tommy and I are working on this and things are going in a more positive direction.

“I think if things were in a really bad place with Tommy and I had all this drama going on with Maebe I think genuinely I would have a breakdown.”

Molly-Mae adds: “Co-parenting right now is going quite well. We are communicating about Bambi, so it’s not like you’ve really lost that person they are still there.”

She adds, while talking to the camera,: “To be perfectly honest with you I think what’s getting me through is the hope that Tommy and I will end up back together.

“All I want is for us to work.

“It has obviously been a bit of a dark cloud over Maebe, it’s really not a nice place to be. Especially when you are a young person that is gonna make mistakes.”

Love Island 2019 couple Tommy and Molly shocked fans when they announced the end of their relationship on social media in the summer.

And The Sun exclusively reported how Molly’s new Amazon Prime series was “in chaos”  after the pics of Molly-Mae’s NYE snog with ex Tommy emerged.

It has since been revealed the reality TV series will document the passionate moment.

And ahead of the series premiere on Friday, Molly spoke about the kiss at her show’s launch and finally addressed what has been the talk of 2025 amongst her fans.

Molly, who shares her two-year-old daughter Bambi with Tommy, said of the snog: “It’s just – we are navigating a really complicated time in both of our lives, in the public eye and it’s a whole new territory for me.

“Tommy and I’s relationship has always been in the public eye and it’s new to deal with this breakup with millions of eyes and it is complicated.”

She continued: “The reason why I don’t comment on it or speak about it on my YouTube publicly is because we’ve both navigating it ourselves, and we’re both figuring it out as adults and as parents and we’re doing the best we can.

“I really do feel like the documentary is going to answer a lot of questions.”

It comes as Tommy blamed his split from Molly-Mae on his addiction to alcohol and revealed he would drink to get ‘black-out drunk’ most nights.

Tommy was accused of cheating on her before she called off their five year relationship, after being sent an “upsetting video” showing him on a lads holiday in Macedonia.

The professional boxer has now broken his silence on the those cheating allegations during an emotional interview with Men’s Health.

He admitted he had became dependant on alcohol following a painful boxing injury – saying “my mental health was in the pan”.
