A WOMAN has been slammed after showing off her “three-tiered” wedding guest dress.
Lucy has been showcasing a series of outfits she’d consider wearing to a friend’s nuptials, but found herself under fire with one of her latest options.

She took to TikTok as she held up the ensemble, and added: “It has a three tiered hoop which is probably going to make it quite hard to sit down.
“Let’s try on and style it up!”
Once she’d put it on, Lucy realised that it was actually “a very mini dress”, and mused: “How do you feel like mini dresses to a wedding?”
“It’s very cutesy!” she admitted.
Lucy then added shoes and accessories to the ensemble – a pair of rose petal pink heels and some “really cute little love heart earrings”.
“This is the final look. Would you wear this to a wedding?” she then asked.
But the consensus in the comments section was that the outfit was entirely inappropriate to wear to a wedding.
“It’s a cute dress. But too bridal,” one wrote.
“What is with young women wanting to outstage brides?!?!
“I don’t get it! Have some respect for traditions!”
“Of course I’d wear it to a wedding. If I was a six-year-old flower girl,” another said, sarcastically.
“Absolutely not, you never wear anything that is considered unusual or stand out,” a third commented.
“It takes attention away from the bride.”
“No, unless you are an attention seeker it’s not appropriate on someone else’s day,” someone else said.
“Nope, too white and floral,” another wrote.
“AND as you said, sitting down issues.”
Wedding Guest Outfit Etiquette
If you’re struggling to decided on a dress to see you through wedding season, here’s a few rules on what not to wear so you don’t get in trouble.
- Folklore says that wearing red at a wedding means you slept with the groom.
- Casual attire like jeans and flip flops should always be avoided.
- Any colour that could be picked up as white or cream – even if it’s not.
- Most would agree that your cleavage needs to be covered.
- Wearing white is a massive no-no if you’re not the bride.
“Too bridal,” someone else commented.
“Lovely but far too bridal!”
“Way too much and way too white for a wedding,” another scowled.
While someone else said it “looks like a mini wedding dress”.
However, others hit back at the critics, as they insisted Lucy could pull off the ensemble for a wedding.
“It totally suits you,” one wrote.
“Why is everyone hating on the dress?” another asked.
“I’m Australian and maybe our weddings are different but I love it!
“It’s floral, it’s pretty. It’s girlie.
“It’s not white or bridal in any way. What’s not to like?”
“All the negative comments!” a third said.
“Well mine is – you look beautiful and stunning.”
“This is super cute for a summer wedding,” someone else insisted.
