Meghan Markle will never come to the UK again – she only does things her way

MEGHAN Markle will “never come to the UK again” as she “only does things her way”, according to The Sun’s Royal photographer Arthur Edwards.

The legendary snapper said on The Sun’s Royal Exclusive show that he “felt sorry” for King Charles not being able to see Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

Arthur shared: “I feel sorry for the king really not seeing his grandchildren, and that’s unfair. “But Meghan does it her way, and Harry seems to fall in with that, and that’s how it’s going to be, I think, until there’s a complete change of heart.

“I mean, it’s up to him, and whether Meghan could ever come back here I don’t know.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and now live in a £12million home in California with their two kids.

King Charles has reportedly only met Princess Lilibet once, during Queen Elizabeth II‘s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, and has seen Archie just a handful of times.

Speaking of Meghan returning to the UK, Arthur added: “As far as I’m concerned, you know, she’s his wife and mother of his children, and he’s chosen a life with her in America, which is his choice.

“He comes back now again here, very, very, I mean, almost unnoticed.

“Now, you know, he creeps in and out without any fuss, whether she ever comes to this country again.

“That would be the big moment when, when you tell me that Meghan’s coming to England, then I’ll be surprised, because she managed to avoid it.”

Meghan’s last visit

The last time Meghan visited the UK was the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022.

During the trip, Meghan did a walkabout with Prince William, Prince Harry and Princess Kate outside Windsor Castle.

The once-dubbed ‘Fab Four’ hadn’t been pictured together as a four since Harry and Meghan’s final day as working royals in 2020, when they attended the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey.

It was also the first time Kate had been photographed in public alongside Meghan, after she claimed to Oprah that Kate had made her cry over the infamous bridesmaid dress, not the other way round.

Royal author Robert Jobson claimed in his upcoming book, Catherine, the Princess of Wales, that Kate didn’t find the walkabout easy.

Kate and Meghan’s very telling body language during the 2022 Windsor walkabout

WHEN Prince William and Kate reunited with Prince Harry and Meghan, many were left hopeful this was an olive branch. But it seems that’s not quite the case, as body language expert Judi James has revealed the real reasons behind the Prince of Wales’ decision to invite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to the walkabout at Windsor Castle.

Speaking to The Sun, she says: “This ‘reunion’ looked like an intentional gesture rather than a signal that the Fab Four were somehow back on track.

“The body language story that underlined this appearance suggested little more than a desire to do the right, adult thing to respect both their grandmother and their father, the new King.”

And Judi says Kate made it abundantly clear how she feels about Meghan, from the moment the four arrived in the same car.

She says: “Kate got out of the car and slammed the door herself, striding off and leaving Meghan trailing in her wake.

“There was no eye contact between them and Meghan paused and hung back while Kate rushed to join the brothers and greet their host.”

And it didn’t get any better by the end of the walkabout either.

Judi says: “As the four stood face to face at the end of the outing, both Meghan and Kate sucked their lips in rather than smiling at each other and each other’s husbands.

“Kate pulled back so far that William put an arm out to pull her towards Harry and Meghan for the final line-up pose.

“She was off quickly afterwards, opening her own door of the car and jumping in while Harry rushed to open Meghan’s for her.”

Judi says Meghan and Harry were both feeling very uncomfortable throughout the walkabout – and there were a few different gestures they both made to put the other at ease.

When she was standing away from the other three, as they arrived, Harry moved round to join her and put his arm around her waist with his thumb rubbing her back.

Later on, Meghan was giving back-rubs and “partial hugs”  to Harry.

“Even their hand clasp involved Meghan’s thumb rubbing Harry’s hand as an even more emphatic signal of comfort and reassurance,” Judi adds.

He alleged: “Picking up the phone to Harry, he [William] suggested that they and their wives put on a show of unity for the sake of their late grandmother by viewing the floral tributes at Windsor together. Harry accepted.

“The resulting images suggested they’d all slipped back into their Fab Four routine, but Catherine later admitted to a member of the Royal Family that such was the extent of ill-feeling between the couples, the walkabout had been the hardest thing she’d ever had to do.”

Harry’s possible return

Prince Harry is to appear in court to appeal a High Court judgement that upholds a Home Office decision to downgrade his security, following him no longer being a senior working royal.

HELLO! reported a friend of the Duke of Sussex saying the royal dad-of-two’s “goal is simple.”

The pal stated: “He wants to ensure the safety of himself and his family while in the UK so his children can know his home country and so he can help support his patronages and their important work.”

Harry had told the High Court that there was “no possibility” of keeping his children safe on UK soil following the security downgrade.

A judge ruled there had not been any “unlawfulness” in the call to pull Harry’s security.

Retired High Court Judge Sir Peter Lane added the decision had been “justified”, and was not “irrational” – as it had been dubbed.

But the Duke of Sussex has vowed to appeal the judgement and claimed he is “not asking for preferential treatment”.

Harry’s visa woes

Prince Harry’s recent visa row has sparked a debate as to whether the Sussexes would ever return to the UK.

A Conservative think-tank launched an appeal that tried to make the prince’s US visa application public, although this failed.

The case’s judge ruled in September last year that the dad-of-two’s visa documents would not be made public despite his admission that he took drugs.

The duke’s reference to taking cocaine, marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms in his book Spare prompted The Heritage Foundation to question why he was allowed into the US in 2020.
