It followed the adventures of Mildred Hubble, a witch attending Cackles Academy and who was always getting herself into trouble.
The show aired on CITV from 1998 until 2001 across three series, and saw Georgina Sherrington play Mildred.
She was joined by a cast of fellow child stars taking on roles such as her friends Enid Nightshade and Maud Spellbody, as well as nemesis Ethel Hallow and her BFF Drusilla Paddock.
Drusilla was played by Holly Rivers and after the show ended in 2001, she only acted on a couple of other occasions.
Instead, she has focused on her career as a children’s author, releasing The Sundae Delivery Service and The Boy in the Post.
Holly also leads drama, craft and bushcraft classes for children and lives in Brighton with her girlfriend and dogs.
Her Instagram is full of pictures from her work and life on the South Coast, and also shows how much she has transformed from her days on screen.
Gone is her short, straight hair and in its place is bright blonde dreadlocks, although Holly likes to switch up the colour from time to time.
Holly also sports an array of tattoos on her arms and is a big fan of bright, colourful clothing.
Her pictures also show she is partial to a funky headscarf.
The Worst Witch went on to be rebooted for a new generation in 2017 on CBBC.
It featured some recognisable faces including former EastEnders star Kacey Ainsworth and The Last of Us actress Bella Ramsey.
It ran for four series before it ended in 2020, before all episodes were made available on Netflix.
